Money. Thats is the name of the game. Today, M&M Manufacturing and Development announced the purchase of one of the last natural wonders in TPF. The Geldsmith National Forest stretches over 250 miles by 250 miles, full of pristine mountains and forests. It also, as it turns out, is rich in both oil and minerals. If some of our readers recall, the infamous Green Brigade committed terror attacks in the 1960's to protect this area, and won. Now, M&M has paid 950 billion dollars to buy this land from our government. If that sounds like a lot to you, M&M say it is worth it. According to their reports, there is more than six trillion dollars worth of oil using current oil prices. Furthermore, they claim that the minerals are also worth more than two trillion. However this wonderland is set to be absoletuly ravaged in the process, with hundreds of species of animals being sent off with nowhere to go. Miles upon miles are set to be burned and cut down. The company also claims that this lumber shall make a profit of 300 billion. Finally, a small area is going to be left alone, but will be developed into a ski resort. Already the Internet is alight with anger as environmentalist's fume. It has been a tough year for them, with a more than 13 other, smaller forests being sold and developed. The government claims that it will buy backs some other areas, but many fear the damage has been done. M&M's stock jumped more than a hundred dollars after the announcement.
