Righting All That Is Wrong

The White House, Hailia, The Imperial Republic
President Revello had not been able to sleep in the last few days, and for the first time in quite a few years, many of his companions and subordinates had seen him totally disheveled and messy-looking. The stubble on his face and neck was a testament to his insomnia, and the drooping bags below his eyes didn’t help the matter either.
For some reason or another his staff only knew that sleep would just not come the poor man. What they had interpreted as worse was the fact that Revello would not even take something to ease him into a slumber and some of his closest friends were even worried about the normally strong and assertive man.
Though his subordinates did not know why he could not sleep, he knew why. An internal battle was raging through him, one that questioned his decisions and second guessed everything. The feeling of not knowing was tearing him apart.
From his eyes and standpoint, the world was engulfed in chaos once again. The Corporation of Kraven was threatening everyone and everything all over again, and this time they had struck not at a small nation that HailandKill could not even think of going to war over, but rather a large nation that the Imperial Republic had had contact, and even a friendly standing with.
To make matters worse, one of Revello’s closest friends had taken his mission of diplomacy too far with Kraven, and asserted the sinister nation that HailandKill would support it and its sick and twisted unification ideals. Most of the nation had not heard of this clandestine meeting, and Revello could not bring himself to tell the nation that he had entrusted one of his closest friends to set up some sort of alliance and in fact that friend had sold out the nation. The lines of feeling were even more muddled at this point because HailandKill had even participated in an extermination war against Jagada, siding with the Kraven menace.
The real question to Revello, and the one that was tearing him apart, was where did he and the nation stand on the Kraven Corporation? The answer was not so simple. With HailandKill bound by the NSA’s diplomatic mission and coupled with the fact HailandKill had participated in an extermination war with them, it would look like a pretty solid alliance to any outsider. However, to Revello it wasn’t that solid and couldn’t be solid. As the leader of the country he couldn’t let what the NSA had done ruin the countries future.
Though the NSA had done extensive, though unbeknownst to the public, damage, Revello could still fix things. He knew he could right the wrongs because HE, not the NSA was the president.
On the last day of the hell that he was experiencing, Revello had been able to finally drift off into a state of sleep. Everyone around him was glad that he was finally able to rest, but they figured it was because the previous lack of sleep had gotten to him ands exhausted him too much. However, Revello knew it was because he was going to “man up” to what had happened, even if it destroyed his presidency. It was time to right the wrong. However, righting the wrong wasn’t going to be easy. President Revello was going to have to swallow his pride, something that was not going to be easy for a proud man like himself. Also, deciding how to fix the past, one that had scarred both nations, would not be an easy decision.
The only thing that Revello could decide upon was a conference between both nations. Getting Jagada to this conference would be no easy task, and Revello had to word it out with exact precision. With that in mind, he delved right into his task, and after writing it, with many revisions of course, he finally had gotten down what he wanted.

I rarely send direct communications to other nations, as that is the job of the Killian State and Foreign Affairs Department, but there is a major issue I would like to address that requires me to send this communication personally. This issue is imperative to our nation’s current and future standing with each other, as well as the future of our nations.
I am undoubtedly sure that you are extremely surprised to see a non-hostile communication to the Jagite government from our Killian government. Surprise aside, and as mentioned earlier, I communicate to the Jagite government to address our current standing with each other. As you and I are quite obviously aware of, we are at a state of war and currently fighting a naval battle in Jagite national waters.
I ask you to think now, why are we fighting? Of course the most basic reason is because the Killian government declared war on Jagada and your nation is defending itself in kind. However, we must look deeper; this declaration of war is retaliation for the Jagite attack that took place in Killian national waters. Which, that in itself is retaliation for a previous Killian attack on Jagada. As you can see where I am going, all our battles and wars have been for revenge or retaliation. I must ask you, when will it all stop?
If the current trend continues, it will all stop when HailandKill and Jagada are both exterminated through nuclear or conventional exchange all and all of our our nations citizens are dead. I believe it is time to fix these problems before this happens to our great countries and before the damage becomes to irreparable.
Both of our nations have committed unspeakable horrors to each other in the past. I am ready to apologize for the actions of HailandKill, as well as my subordinates and myself. I ask, are you?
I am asking for a conference to sort everything out between our nations. To show that this is not a façade, cheap attempt at diplomacy, nor a farce, I have ordered all Killian naval units currently engaging Jagite naval forces to stand down, cease fire, and exit Jagite national waters. All I ask is if you could, as well, have your forces stand down.
This conference would take place in The Imperial Republic, but more specifically in the Killian capital of Hailia. I will personally be waiting, should you accept to meet me, and the most convenient time for you is the most convenient time for me.
This is truly a serious thing, and I would truly like for us both to sit down and discuss certain things. Please respond ASAP and please let no more lives die in vain.

Congressional Halls,
The Republic
The halls were silenced as he finished reading aloud the message from the Killian President. The white walls with flags of the Republic drapped over the walls with the crystal-like five ringed Congressional rows illuminating the room in even more light threw reflection. It provided an almost divine aura to the man at the center of the rings, that man being the one who currently had the floor. Kalia Riyabuo looked up from the letter she held in her with the symbol of HailandKill upon it, and stared around the room at the Congressmen. Their faces gave only blank stares to her, she knew what their answers would be. They would demand blood, and more blood, and more war. It was how politics in Jagada worked, no matter how gloomy, how reasonable a treaty was, these proud men would not back down until the enemy troops marched into the Congressional Halls and demanded they accept it. Though why should they accept peace? They weren't out there, right now, fighting the Killian Aramada and their invasion force.
When one of the Congressmen raised his hand, she closed her eyes and gave a short prayer, knowing that condemnation would now rain down like fire and brimestone. She regonized the man, some high brass politican from Inn.
'Madam Minister,' he said politely, 'I question the stability of your mind for bringing this before us. As we all know, the Killians are out for one thing -- blood. They want raise their banner above New Christendom and claim hegemony over us, if not outright annexation.'
His words were met unanimous applause from all men in the room. They wanted blood, and they would not be denied. She sighed quietly, 'Gentlemen, before we rush to any decision ... we must ask ourselves if this letter is legimate. Imagine the advantages that come along with it. We have an exit from this war against the Macabees, a war in which our so-called allies are unable to inflict any serious victory over the Golden Throne. The Havenites have already been pushed out of Macabee Proper, and even now fight on their home soil. The Golden Throne still maintains naval domination. The Killians are at our very doorstep. Our greatest hope for victory, New Empire, has collapsed and descended into anarchy. We have already lost this war.'
Without respect for procedures and her consent, one of the Congressmen jumped to his feet and cried out, 'Traitor!' This was followed by several Congressmen's voices booming together in one damning word. Riyabuo kept her cool for five minutes, hoping the crowd would grow tired and settle down. Finally her temper would not permit her any more paitence and she slammed her fist down on the glass podium in front of her. The room boomed loudly due to the mircophones surronding it. Silence quickly filled the air, and it almost seemed louder than the noise it replaced.
'Enough!' she exclaimed, 'This war is lost, weather you consent to it or not. Even if we push back this Killian Armada. What of it? Tomorrow it will be replaced by another Northern Pact Armada. Maybe from the Golden Throne, or Spizania, or perhaps yet another Killian Fleet. We can not defeat these powers on our own and our allies are not gaining enough ground. We must bow out now, before we are forced to bow forever.'
Once more, a Congressmen cried out, 'Traitor' and the room began to fill with its condemning tone. Riyabuo, however, would not allow this childish behaviour to continue. Her voice erupted once more with both passion and anger, 'That is quite enough! As Highest Minister of the Monotheistic Republic of Jagada, I do hereby declare a cease-fire in effect for all Jagite forces in relations to the current war with the Northern Pact. All forces will stand down. This is Congress' notice of my move. It will not change. Not now, not ever.'
She did not wait for a response, but instead left the podium and began to make her wait out of the Congressional Halls, all the while hearing the chanting and damning words, 'Traitor! Traitor! Traitor!'. They would forever haunt her. She just didn't realize it yet.

From: Kalia Riyabuo, Highest Minister of the Monotheistic Republic of Jagada
You are correct, Mr. Revello. Our countries have done much to each other in the name of vengance and retaliation. From Dorthia, to Cadiz, to this current engagement -- we fight for the sake of killing each other. Civilized people, nor people of God, should act in this manner. It is why I most humbly accept your proposal.
Though I have my reservations, and indeed my entire country has reservations about this meeting -- I will attend in the name of peace, so that we can finally work out this situtation between us. As per your request, and with a belief in your good intentions, I have ordered all Jagite Naval ships to sieze their assault on your Navy and allow them safe passage out of Jagite waters.
I shall come to this meeting as soon as I possibly can. Probably in a weeks time, to ensure all security measures are taken and the readiness state between us has time to cool down, to ensure no accidents occur.

President Revello read the response given to him, and was quite pleased. Though he was half-expecting a rebuke, he wholeheartedly welcomed the response given to him. What had also made him openly glad was the fact that in the troubling times that the world was living in, diplomacy would be chosen over war. Almost immediately he began to draft a response to the Jagite Minister.

I am extremely pleased to hear that you are willing to come to a peaceful agreement. In these dark times that we live in, I am most certainly elated to hear that the choice of diplomacy has won over the choice of war.
As mentioned earlier, the conference will be taking place in the Killian capital of Hailia. All necessary preparations for this conference are being taken as we speak. Security, grandeur, and all other necessary steps are being taken for this conference. Whenever you can arrive, we will be ready to accommodate you.
I have alerted the Killian Air Traffic controllers to give passage to the aircraft you will arrive on. However, all I ask is that you use the enclosed radio band, and IFF signature so we can be absolutely sure that it is your plane, rather than an enemies.
I gladly anticipate your arrival.

Neo-Jagada International Airport,
New Christiandom,
The Republic
The sheets of rain continued to pour down in brutal amounts as plane after plane was delayed by the weather. It was early spring and this meant heavy amounts of rain for the entire country. Most of the flyers would be delayed well over an hour due to just the weather, they would be delayed another two hours due that the entire airport was being bogged down due to the take off of a single airplane -- the 'Illustrious'. It was the plane of the Highest Minister's and was setting up to take off.
Inside of the aircraft, Highest Minister Kalia Riyabuo sat looking out the window, watching the rain fall. It was a common belief amoungst Jagada's children to believe that rain was actually tears from God. That he was sad about some event occuring around the World. Of coarse while science provided an alternative reason it was still customary to keep the belief in mind. Beliefs such as that were always taken more seriously in Jagada than in most other countries. The Highest Minister was no acception to this and she couldn't help but ponder the possibly that maybe God was crying, and maybe about what she was about to bow.
Effectively, she was about to bow out of an unwinnable war. To sacrifice the western territory of the region to the Macabees -- while agreeing to allow the northern regions to fall under the duel hegemony of HailandKill and Spizania. Jagada would abandon her allies to a war they had no chance of winning. Though, why should Jagada care about Stevid or Independant Hitmen? Where had they been during Jagada's extermination ... fighting their own wars for their own interests. Jagada held alliegance to no being or group, only to God and itself.
The plane's wheels left the drenched asphalt and tucked themselves up under the plane. The small, but agile white aircraft decended into the dark and stormy cloud, feeling jolts of turbulance here and there. Embedden within it was the radio and IFF signature, to ensure there was no international incident -- such as the Highest Minister's plane being shot down over Killian skies.

President Revello had arrived at the hangar where the Jagite High Minister’s plane was to be brought to. He was clearly early, as the activity in the hangar was still at a minimum when he arrived. He didn’t mind that he was early, though; he was early to most everything function that he attended. Another positive of being early was that it gave him time to fix his appearance, and make any last minute adjustments to his uniform.
Revello had chosen his old military uniform to wear, something he had not done for a diplomatic mission in a long time. It was an impressive sight to behold, with all his medals and ribbons decorating his right breast pocket and shoulder area. Ironically, however, these medals meant nothing under his Republic because they were the honors, medals, and ribbons of the old guard. More so ironic was the fact it was the “old guard” that he “betrayed”. Despite the fact that these ironies rang out to even him, he wore the uniform anyway to show what he was, what he could be and what the Republic would NOT ever turn out to be.
He also wore his old military uniform because he felt it was a symbol of himself, as well as The Imperial Republic as a whole. It represented the honor that the Killian’s carried with them, as well as the pride the he and his people felt for their country. The uniform he was wearing also symbolized the respect he commanded as a leader, and the knowledge he had learned fighting for, and establishing, a working Republic in the lands of HailandKill. There was also an aura around the president when he wore this uniform, and this too was a reason he was currently wearing it.
The feeling of nostalgia that Revello had gotten while he was fixing up his uniform quickly left him as a secret service agent had brought him news. The agent had told Revello that the Killian air traffic controller had just confirmed and cleared the landing of the Jagite High Minister’s plane. This meant that the Jagite leader was going to be on the ground in minutes, and the sudden activity in the hangar reflected this.
After a few moments passed by, Revello watched the white plane touch down on the runway. When the plane touched down, Revello lit a cigarette. Though smoking wasn’t a habit he was particularly proud of, he started doing it again recently for the false sense of relief it gave him like it had in the old days.
As Revello was brooding over his cigarette, he watched the plane get dragged to the hangar. When it came to a complete stop the stairs were attached to it.
Though Revello had called for peace, and gotten a positive response there were still armed and completely visible secret service agents to protect the president. Unbeknownst to any Jagite about to step foot on Killian soil, there were a few men in the rafters of the hangar obscured from vision by the face paint and black clothing they wore, their sniper scopes trained on the door of the plane. Nothing could happen to the president, and every measure was taken for security.
Despite the fact that all the security was standard protocol for something of this nature, Revello knew that if the Jagites wanted war they would tell him at the conference table rather than through the gun in this desolate spot of the airport. The fact that the protection agents couldn’t trust anyone didn’t mean Revello didn’t.
Revello was still smoking when the door opened. It was time to see this diplomat in whom he’d engaged war with.
[OOC: I wont be on AIM tonight, so if your wondering what to do from here, just start with your leader exiting the plane. You can take a few liberties in terms of your leader meeting Revello for the first time, and getting in the car thats waiting...etc..
Anything that speeds this along basically.]
Hailia,
The Imperial Republic,
HailandKill
The High Minister's plan decended upon the asphalt runway, jerking as it slowed to a stop and was taxied over to a hanger. Riyabuo Kalia waited for the plane to fully stop before rising from her seat, she composed herself one last time and looked at two men in white and gold trenchcoats whom stood behind her -- White Coats they were called, the ancient and predominately noble guardians of Jagada's leaders. They were in fact former Templar Knights, disbanded during the Secular Age of Jagada, and only restored to a religious role during the rise of the religious imperium.
One of the White Coats exited the plane first, unarmed except for a 9mm pistol, which he made sure was in its holster and in plane view for the Killians. If they expected the High Minister to come with bodyguards that were completely unarmed, then they would be sorely disappointed. Though in the face of such overwhelming manpower supremecy the Killians couldn't feel insecure in anyway. The White Coat stopped at the bottom of the stairs, looked around and nodded before saying something to the air. Moments later, the slender body of High Minister Riyabuo appeared from the darkness of the aircraft. As she walked down she noticed the tight security the Killians put up -- it was to be expected.
She reached the bottom of the stairs where President Revello appoarched her, as a host he was obliged to speak first, 'Greetings High Minister Riyabuo.'
His tone suggest military disicpline, which surprised Riyabuo, since most 'presidents' in most countries didn't have military backgrounds, 'It is a pleasure to be here President Revello.'
Skipping anymore formalities, the President motioned to a car waiting outside the hanger, Riyabuo nodded and followed him to the vehicle where both entered.

As Revello watched his guest board the vehicle waiting for them, he motioned to his security detail which promptly headed to their vehicles. The Jagite bodyguards were escorted to another vehicle that would follow the president's limousine.
Revello watched all the security details get into their vehicles before he sat down in the limousine; Revello's medals made a jingle as he sat down. As soon as he had gotten comfortable he addressed the foreign minister.
"I am very pleased that you decided to come. It gives me great hope for relations to come".
After he made that statment, he motioned to the agent behind the wheel of the limosine. The vehicle started its journey to the heart of the capital and slowly began to speed up. As the car began its journey, Revello looked over at the Jagite High Minister and spoke again,
"I hope you enjoy the scenery as we approach our destination"
He waited for a response.
Killia,
The Imperial Republic
As the convoy of vehicles passed threw the HailandKill capital of Killia, Riyabuo couldn't help but notice the unique style in which the Killians constructed their buildings. It, while not totally like it, did closely resemble the style used in the old Italian city of Florance. Riyabuo had never been to the city but had seen pictures of it, some of them given by some her low-level ministers whom traveled to the ruins of the city. The High Minister of Jagada felt more than a little ashamed that she'd never bothered to learn much about HailandKill, despite the two countries long past together.
She caught the tail end of Revello's sentence, but could piece together what he said fairly easily, 'The city is beautiful, I am ashamed of myself for not having at least visited during my youth.' She kept her lack of knowledge on Killian customs and the country itself to herself. Best for her foes to believe she knew more than she really did.

"Well, the city was much different looking under Dolby. The half that was destroyed during the Killian Civil War was rebuilt, as well as some of the city was remodeled after word, so this city is a mix of new an old."
Revello looked at his visitor before continuing,
"Killia is a very interesting city indeed. It is not a sprawling metropolis like New York City, nor is it a small city like Hailia. I love it personally."
The limousine was coming to a stop, and outside the right side of the window the White House was in view.
"Well, we are here."
The door opened on the presidents side and he exited the vehicle. Revello crossed over and opened Riyabuo's door, offering his hand to escort her out of the vehicle. Just because they were enemies for the time being, didn't mean he couldn't be courteous.
Killia,
The Imperial Republic
Riyabuo did not respond to Revello's comments about Killia's design, she merely nodded respectfully. While Killia was indeed a beautiful city, easily outclassing Jagada's overly designed Inn City, it wasn't as elegant as Old Christendom, not from the pictures she saw. Now Old Christendom was probably covered by a sprawling, pollution choked, industrial factory pumping out Leman Russ', Capitol Police, and APCs for the Kraven Corporation. Old Jagada was dead and being reminded of it only mad her head hurt.
She looked up suddenly and noticed that the vehicle had not only stopped, but that Revello was already out of the vehicle. Someone opened the door for her and she saw a hand extend down to her -- it was Revello. With a smile and sweet glance she took his hand and exited the vehicle.
'Thank you,' she said politely as she allowed him to help her exit the vehicle.

After Revello had helped his guest out of the limousine, he stretched both his arms and legs and began looking up into the sky. The sky was void of clouds and the sun shown brightly, warming the city, and its inhabitants.
"The weather is perfect this time of the year. I thoroughly enjoy it on these beautiful days. If you will follow me, I shall escort you and your entourage to the hotel you will be staying at. It is a quite nice hotel, one of the best in the country, and all expenses are paid for."
Revello started walking down the path next to his guest. Both of them were flanked by secret service agents.
Killia,
The Imperial Republic
The bright shinning sun provided some heat, a stark contrast to Jagada's current weather, or at least the last weather she remembered -- cold rain. After hearing about the hotel, Riyabuo felt better, finally she would get to relax. That was of coarse unless her host had other plans, such as beginning the meeting earlier. His military attire suggested he might get straight to the point and may have only bothered with the hotel incase the meeting went bad and took days to hammer out. Regardless, she would be overjoyed for a rest.
As Revello walked next to her, she couldn't help but notice how confident he acted. Like a soldier, or a general, which he was. His walked suggested more than confidance, it suggested arrogance. Though that didn't bother her too much.
'Thank you, Mister President, the Republic also thanks you for your generosity,' she said.

As all paths do, the path to the entrance of the hotel ended. The two national leaders were staring at the entrance to the "Killia Grand Palace" hotel. The entrance to the hotel was all glass, and from the outside one could see the huge glass chandelier on the inside. One could also see the grand staircase which led to the more expensive rooms.
"I see you like this architecture", said Revello, noticing the slight look of awe on Riyabuo's face. "This place is great, I am sure you will like it al ot. The "official" meetings wont begin until tomorrow so feel free to rest. However, I am having dinner at this restaurant and would be pleased if you were to join me."
Revello proceeded to hand her a card with the address and number of the restaurant.
"Before I leave you to your room I thought I should tell you that you have that limosuine we arrived in as your personal car. Wherever you want to go, the driver will take you. Oh, enjoy the hotel, everythings on us."
Killia,
The Imperial Republic
The hotel was indeed grand, far better than anything New Christendom could boast about -- or even Neo Jagada. Jagada wasn't a very wealthy country, and business was still slow since the constant recessions and political instability. She was embarassed when she realized Revello noticed the look of awe on her face. She turned, as if looking at another building, hiding her blush from him. The last thing you wanted your enemy to see from you is you blushing because of simple mistake in jesture.
As Revello extend the card out to her, she turned to face him once more, hoping the blush was completely gone. It was still there, but barley noticeable. She took the card and bowed slightly, 'I would be honored to attend Mister President.'
She then realized what she'd done -- she'd accepted an unoffical dinner with the President of HailandKill, a country which participated in the Extermination War. She wondered what would happen if Congress found out about that ... if they'd scream 'Traitor' even more to her. If that word would forever stick with her for the rest of her life? Only time would tell, for now, the hotel room waited.
As Riyabuo entered the hotel room she was also in awe -- the suite was beyond anything she'd imagined. She had only minor luggage, a few changes in clothing and such. She set them down on the bed and headed to the shower, starting it up, before she heard a knock at her door. She wouldn't open it at first, anyone or thing could be on the other side. Instead she demanded to know who was there -- to her relief it was merely the two White Coats she'd originally traveled with. They informed her that they would be taking up positions outside the room and if she needed anything to merely call for them.
She didn't bother to reply and instead went and took a shower. Once that ordeal was finished she dressed casually and spent the better part of the afternoon researching tomorrow's possible events. Jagada sought to benefit from this war. Territorial gain was the first on her list, reperations and apologies were equally high but if push came to shove, territorial gain would be sought over both. Congress would enjoy that -- few wanted to 'mend' ties between the Monotheistic and Imperial Republics, since many of them had relatives who'd lived threw or died in the Extermination War -- a few Congressmen were personally there when it all went down in Old Jagada and of coarse had a bitter hatred for the Killians for that.
She stopped reading suddenly due to a yawn and looked casually over at the clock -- she was shocked to learn she only had an hour to get ready for the unoffical dinner with President Revello. As she rose from her bed and began to change into a white suite -- white was the color of Jagada and thus couldn't be considered improper to wear. As she got ready she was surprised to find that Revello continued to come up in her mind -- his appearance, his boldness, his outgoing attitude. Everything she had never been, her polar opposite. For a split moment she almost felt attracted to him -- she quickly shook her head and recomposed herself. This was business, and that was that.

Killia, The Imperial Republic
After President Revello had handed Riyabuo the card for the restaurant, he waited for a moment and watched his Jagite counterpart walk into the the hotel. Revello could obviously see through Riyabuo's tired gait that she carried a lot of weight with her on this trip. However, he also understood and thought to himself how tough it was to be in her position in the current situation that was happening. He watched Riyabuo's short hair bounce, up and down, with every step that she had taken for a few moments.
Revello, before finally turning around, had also thought that for a leader she was taking everything quite well, and had aged gracefully.
Revello, as he walked back down the path that led to his own personal limousine, thought to himself how different the two leaders were. She was soft spoken, he was loud. She was delicate, he was hard and craggy. However different they were, they both shared a supreme national pride and would die for their countries without thought.
After Revello had gotten in his limousine, he was immediately taken back to The White House, which was after all his current living quarters. When he got to The White House, he was immediately consumed with all the issues and points of interest that were presented to him from various aides and officers. After sifting through them for a good chunk of time, Revello noticed the time on the wall clock. He immediately jumped out of his chair, exclaimed "SHIT!", and hustled to his private quarters.
While in his private quarters Revello laid out his outfit and hopped in the shower. After his shower, Revello shaved and combed his hair. He had chosen a black suit to wear, and for a man his age he thought he looked damn good in it.
After he had cleaned himself up, for the second time in the same day, he once again boarded his limosuine. The limousine quickly whisked him off to the restaurant. Revello hurried out of the limousine and into the restaurant. His table was already reserved in the private section of the restaurant. Once taken to his section, he sat down and began to look around almost impatiently. He would have to wait for his guest.
Killia,
The Imperial Republic
Riyabuo watched the street lights quickly fly by the window of her limousine. Killia's night life was far more exciting than New Christendom's or even Neo-Jagada's, with people hustling around. The fact that she saw no soldiers, no mass formations of police was unsettling to her since, in Jagada, police regularly patrolled the streets at night, and in force. While it made anyone walking on the streets perfectly safe, it also added a sense of authoritarianism. Killia seemed to lack both, but at the same time safety seemed to also be present. Perhaps not in the same way, but still visibly there.
As the limousine slowed to a stop outside of a restaurant, Riyabuo allowed for one of her White Coat's to open the door for her. The Killians had provided extra security agents to her due to her lack of bodyguards. She didn't expect to be going anywhere but the hotel and meeting area -- dinner caught her off guard easily. As she walked in, she wasn't asked how many, or weather or not she perferred smoking or non-smoking -- a waitress immediately stepped up and asked her to follow her. She walked for only a few steps before President Revello came into sight. Riyabuo sighed as she straightened her white skirt and pushed a few wrinkles out of her suite.
As she appoarched the table she took one last deep breath and exhaled -- she was not committed to this, and weather or not it was in the best interests of her country, she would have to go threw with it. She offset that feeling by the fact that she was beginning to feel comfortable around Revello, some that in and of itself upset her.

Revello had watched his guest ever since she had come through the curtain that divided the main restaurant from the private section. He watched her smooth her skirt before he stood up and offered to seat his guest. If it wasn't the strange feeling he had in his stomach that he felt he to do this, it was surely the gentlemanly conduct he learned in the military.
After Riyabuo was seated, Revello reached into his vest pocket and took out a cigarette. He lit it and said,
"I hope this doesn't bother you. Its a ghastly habit I know, and I should quit while I am still alive. Anyway, I hope you don't mind, I ordered apetizers for the both of us along with some wine for dinner. While we wait, if I may ask, how did you become leader of Jagada?"
Killia,
The Imperial Republic
As Revello pulled out a cigarette Riyabuo grimmaced interally -- not allowing the emotion to show physically. Smoking, alochol, and drugs were all banned in Jagada for various reasons, first and foremost because the clerics deemed them unholy and destructive in the Monotheistic Republic. The politicans were unwilling to go against clerics, regardless of their personal feelings. Riyabuo didn't have any vices because of those laws, so she found them personally very benefical and also would not go against the clerics.
She allowed a smirk when Revello asked her how she became the High Minister of Jagada, 'A very interesting story. Women are, after all, second-class citizens in Jagada. Many ask how a women then leads the Republic. Politics have been in my family for generations, after the Extermination War -- and my peoples exodus to its current home, all of the males in my family were killed or died after arriving. My family's popularity did not die, however, and when I took a pro-active, and loud voice in politics to restore Jagada to its former glory by respecting the old ways, and embracing new ideas. The people found it in their best interests. That, and the other canidate what convicted of attempting to assassinate someone within his own party.'

Revello smiled as Riyabuo told her story. It was however tragic that she had mentioned the extermination war, and when he did Revello's smiled had faded from his face. He knew, and she probably knew, the war of extermination had rested uneasily in Revello.
Well, I am glad that a sensible leader was elected or else we probably would not be sitting here at this moment.
The wine and appetizers that Revello had ordered had finally arrived.
I don't suppose you will join me in a toast? I foolishly forgot that alcohol was banned in your homeland, but it doesn't hurt to ask right?
Killia,
The Imperial Republic
Riyabuo smiled as Revello asked her for the toast. In Jagada, accepting was grounds for a fine, drinking it was grounds for a night in jail. She, however, wasn't in Jagada and wasn't completely adverse to drinking. While alochol was banned in Jagada, the black market for it was extensive and if you wanted small amounts of alcohol, knew the right people, and had the courage -- you could get what you wanted. She should know, she'd done it in her earlier years.
She glanced at the White Coats that stood with her, they were handpicked by her for a reason, and as she expected of them -- they turned away and acted like they didn't notice what she was doing. She reached over and accepted the glass.
With a smile she asked, 'What shall we toast?'

We shall toast to peace and prosperity for each us and our nations!
Revello raised his glass before saying,
To the future!
After he commenced his toast, he clinked the glass with his guest and took a large sip of The Imperial Republic's finest wine. After he was done, he put the glass down, looked straight into his guests eyes and spoke once again saying,
So, how would you say your trip is going so far?
Killia,
The Imperial Republic
Riyabuo giggled slightly at the cheesey, yet nonetheless true statement made by Revello. She clinked her glass with his and sipped the wine -- the taste of alcohol was so foreign to her is caught her off guard, and she nearly started coughing, but gave no physical sign of it, and instead toughed it out quietly.
She moved her hair out of her eyes during Revello's question and smiled, 'I will have the honor, upon my return to Neo-Jagada, of telling the nation that you are an impecable guest.'

"Why thank you! I always like to show foriegn leaders and diplomats a good time. Even though we may be bitter enemies at the moment, why should we not be entreated to a good time! Besides, that whole enemy thing will hopefully change."
Killia,

Riyabuo nodded at Revello's reply, 'That is true. It is my hope that us, and our people, can become friends once more. Imagine, if the Dorthia Incident had never occured. Jagite Legions may right now being storming into Safehaven along side their Killian and Macabee allies.'
That statement was very true to her and she knew it. Many in Jagada felt HailandKill was a good country, with good ideals, just run by jerks and pricks. The only part of that statement which could not be seen as completely true was a Jagite-Macabee alliance, due only to the Fanatical Civil War.

"This may as well be true. However, Dorthia and the atrocities we have committed haven't helped the situation either."
The light in Revello's eyes dimmed alittle at the mention of the war. He looked into his glass for a very slight moment and took another sip of wine.
"So, what would you say your nation thinks of us over here?"
Killia,
The Imperial Republic
She noticed Revello eyes glaze over a bit as he took a sip of his wine. She then remembered the report she read on Revello -- he was there in Dorthia, he was apart of the counter-attack on the city in which the Killians were massacred. She closed up a bit for a moment, making a mental note of it so as to not bring it up again.
His question was not shocking, and neither would her answer, but she decided to lighten the mood with a bit of a joke, 'Does the term 'mass crucifixion' help you at all? I can only assume its the same here towards us.' She gave a smile afterwards, trying to lighten the mood more.

Revello had laughed at Riyabuo's joke. Though he knew it was a joke, there was some truth behind it.
"I am familiar with the term. Since we are stating how our citizens feel about each others nations, does the term mutually assured destruction ring a bell?"
Revello was quite glad to be joking with Riyabuo. It was the first time he had really seen her smile, and was quite taken with her pretty features.
Killia,
The Imperial Republic
Riyabuo allowed a reasonable laugh to escape her at Revello's counter joke. The mood had indeed ligthened threw joking, and something has occured to her. Revello was more than just another blustering militant president -- he actually had a gentlemen side and had a sense of humor. Two things she hadn't expected from him. Again, a ping of attraction rose up in her, and once again she forced it down. Politics had no room for feelings or emotion.
'Yes, I am familiar with the term,' he said with a laugh, 'May I ask how you came into power? My knowledge of Killian history is vague at best.'

“Well, when I said I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, I surely meant it. However, I should elaborate then huh?”
Revello paused, took a drink from his glass and continued,
“Well, as I said, I was in the military under the “old guard”. The “old guard” is the name for the military under Dolby during the dictatorship years by the way. I am twenty one years of age at this point and have been in the military for three years; I thought you might know that I enlisted at eighteen to get away from the poverty of where a grew up. That’s unimportant though, so let me return to the story. So, after a small skirmish, my unit gets stationed in York City for leave. York City is where present day New York City is. So anyway, me and a few buddies go to a bar. We start drinking heavy enough, and who do I see at the bar? It’s my old war buddy, Allen Johnson. I had fought in some skirmishes and became friends with Allen, but after he got discharged I lost contact with him. Anyway, so me and Allen get into talking, and were both pretty hammered as it is. So Allen starts telling me about this thing called “democracy”. Since I got half a load on, I start listening. In those years, I would have shot him as a traitor because I was loyal to the state, and that meant being loyal to the leader because to us back then, he was infallible. So Allen starts telling me about a government for the people that represented the people’s best interests. So basically he explains the “democracy” and “republic” ideals and principles.”
“I hate to go off on a tangent, but it’s relevant. York City then was a hotbed for what was considered liberal ideas. Liberal ideas were along the lines of believing in democracy and more freedom and such. I never questioned that because I was young and stupid, or at least I was in retrospect.”
“Anyway, so we keep talking and in burst police. Long story short, we all got arrested for
‘betraying the state’. We all get put in jail and due to the shitty legal system then we are there for a year. Being in jail, unjustly, for a year gave me a lot of time to think. Also talking with Allen helped change my mindset too. So after a lot of self reflection and discussion, I had begun to believe highly in the idea of democracy.”
“So I get out of jail and find out I have been discharged from the “old guard” for deserting. That, on top of an unjust year in jail completely sent me into a spin. I was now with Allen all the way. So, about three weeks later Allen introduces me to the “underground resistance” or the liberation army. It is ragtag in every form. Citizens soldiers at best really. Trained in warehouses or large cellars. So anyway, this is the army I enlist in. It does have some other soldiers in it, but since I was from a professional army I was immediately given a high rank in this army. So a few months goes on while more people are enlisted and trained. Finally we are about three hundred thousand people.”
“The first battle for liberation started with a riot in York. Most of the government buildings were seized and whatnot. A major force was deployed to put down the riots and the “liberation” army was in the mountains of the north waiting. When the soldiers came to put down the riots, our army attacked them in the rear and routed them. It was pure luck really. However, that luck captured us many armor. From there we got started in taking cities. I played a more active role in planning because they promoted me like crazy after every battle. They said I was a gifted military planner, but I don’t know about that. People like to call me a war hero for my exploits, but I guess I am too humble.”
“So after the war is over, and Dolby is dead via suicide, a basic, rough sketch of a democracy is set up. I had gained an amazing reputation for my deeds and leadership, and at twenty six years old people are asking me to be the first president of the newly formed republic. Idealistic as I was, I accepted. Everyone figured that the major player in the civil war should be president. So, I was thrust into power. In that position I made sure I didn’t do what Dolby did. So throughout the years the republic was firmed up and made concrete through reforms, revisions, and new ideas. The elected people helped, and so did I.”
“I have grown quite fond of being president, but it cannot be forever, and I know that. When you catch me saying ‘my republic’, its quite true. It is MY republic. I led it and formed it from the beginning. All I want though, is for it to prosper forever.”
Killia,
The Imperial Republic
Riyabuo listened as the story progressed and she was more than impressed by this humble soldier. His stories could probably be confirmed or denied threw a simple operation run by the 'Eye', Jagada's intelligance agency, and Revello probably knew that -- so lying to her wouldn't have gain him much at all. Thus she concluded that he must be telling the truth and thus she became more open to his story and listened as he finished.
She shook her head, 'That is quite a story. Your youth must have been something of a blur to you. Most children in the Monotheistic Republic,' she stated, for the first time feeling ackward by saying the 'Monotheistic Republic' since, for the first time, she spoke to the leader of a fellow Republic, 'Spend their youths attempting to drink illegally, drive fast, and rebel against the current order. Seems you did exactly that, on a much larger scale though.'
Before he could reply she continued, 'Strange. Jagada has also suffered at the hands of dictators, several actually. Although I praise God that we have overcome such primitive forms of government.'
HailandKill

Revello laughed at Riyabuo’s comment. Though it was surely true that The Imperial Republic had its fair share of youths who wanted to rebel, Revello had kind of turned out like that, except he rebelled against something different.
I guess you could say I rebelled in a sense. See, its weird, I don’t have any problems with the whole youth rebellion thing. Sometimes I just want those rebellious youths to know that many a man died so they could “rebel”. I am confident that they know though. We talk about youth rebellion, and yet the most enlisted men in the armed forces are those “rebellious” youth. Oh well, that was tangential. Here’s to the rebels!
Revello raised his glass for another toast.
I also might add, that yes, may nothing stop democracy. May the free flourish, and the oppressed become the liberators.
Killia,
The Imperial Republic
Riyabuo also raised her glass once more, 'To democracy,' she said calmly.
She gave a smile as she sat the glass down, 'While democracy and republicanism are wonderful in any form -- both carry with them one problem ... politicans,' she said with a smirk, 'Does the Imperial Republic suffer from bloated egos like my country does?'

Revello sighed as Riyabuo asked him the question. There was always one answer.
"Of course there are. It is truly sad that some people put a political "party" ahead of the good of the country. I am sure, once our "official" negotiations begin and the hardliners find out about it, they will call for my head. However, the amount of egos is small, and there are a lot of good men who will always use reason and put the good of all over their good of one."
Revello looked off for a second before continuing,
"To answer your question, yes. We suffer from it too. No one nation is perfect though."
Killia,
The Imperial Republic
Riyabuo nodded, 'True, no country is perfect. Though we should both rejoice that our countries are not as imperfect as Hataria's. I hear they've began another scheme to conquer the world.'
Riyabuo began to eye Revello once again, something about him continued to pester her emotions and feelings -- two things she didn't need at the moment.
'In my country, things are slow-paced. The people do not rush around like in most other countries. It is quite a calm experiance to live in Jagada,' she almost corrected herself into saying 'Neo-Jagada', but remembered that would only keep the old wounds open, though she could not deny she missed Old Jagada, 'This city, your capital, seems to buzz with life constantly. Its quite different than New Christendom, and definately different than Inn -- which is even more active than Killia.'

"Ah yes. What a blight upon humanity. Cowards basically. I believe in death before dishonor, but those guys attack the weak and when they get attacked, they kneel down. Sheesh."
"Killia does buzz with life. It is truly one of the busiest cities, but thats also because of all the politics that go on. You should see "New York". That place never closes or sleeps, I swear. Every Killian city is different though, and there are a few choice places I know where one could live out their days in the quiet, enjoying clean air and beautiful sunshine."
Killia,
The Imperial Republic
Riyabuo nodded, 'Inn, is quite the opposite of the rest of Jagada, its similar to your 'New York', although I assume its far more industralized since thats what the city was built around. The rest of the country remains in a state of mysticism basically. It is one of the reasons why anti-drug laws are so strict in my country, and why alcohol so forbidden. Spirituality and narcotics, when mixed, tend to yield poor results.'
She was surprised at how confident she had become since she arrived, she spoke with long words and bold meaning behind them. Though after giving that tid bit of information she seemed to wait paitently for Revello to reply, and she would keep quiet afterward -- hinting for him to continue the conversation on his own terms. It was rare she let go of control, but in this case she was surprisingly interested in what this Killian might say.

Revello nodded respectfully at Riyabuo's detailing about her country. Though he had been briefed on the Monotheistic Republic, it was more interesting to hear things from a person who resided there, much less was the leader.
"I can't say that all of The Imperial Republic is spiritual. Freedom of religion is permitted, and citizens can worship what ever deity they so choose. We also have a separation of the church and state, so government politics are not really tied in with religious politics. Personally, I do not mind politicians with religions, so long as it does not cloud their judgment. Whats best for the country, at least here, is best for all."
Killia,

Riyabuo nodded, and for a moment there was nothing but silence. She felt she'd spoken long enough about minor things, like the cultures of their countries and the like. Something commanded her to ask more about Revello than about HailandKill, despite all her political training which demanded she take from this man all the information about his country she could get. She struggled, without her face showing it, for a few tense seconds.
'What harm will come,' she thought, 'Its just a few questions.'
With that she relaxed herself internally and continued, 'So, tell me about yourself a bit more, please. I assume that a man of your status surely as a wife?'
Nothing offensive or rude about that minor question -- save Riyabuo had forgotten that basic intelligance reports on him would have told her that ... and he knew it.

"Well, I have dated women, but from what I have heard I am too "rough and tumble" to be dealt with. It seems either women cannot keep up with me, or they cannot stand something in me. It boggles me really. To answer your question, I do not have a wife. For that matter, I do not have a girlfriend or significant other. Oh well, one day I shall perhaps and I have not given up.
Revello took a sip of wine before saying,
"Well, since you asked me, I suppose I should ask you the same? Minus the wife of course. Do you have a husband?"
Revello said the last statement through a smile.
Killia,
The Imperial Republic
Riyabuo caught the smile on Revello's last question -- impure thoughts no doubt lingered behind it. It was a miracle she, a woman, was High Minister -- if she were lesbian, she'd probably have been assassinated before her first public apperance.
'No, unfortunately, in Jagada its rare that women get involved in politics. For a woman to excel in them, she cannot have a husband, boyfriend, or even something to be close with. No time you see,' he voice hinted bitterness.

"It truly is a shame that you do not have time. I am sure you would make some man happy."
Revello was shocked at his own statement, and he hoped he had not crossed the line.
Killia,

Riyabuo caught the statement has soon as he completed it -- and for a moment showed it externally. He too showed some signs of attraction to her. She'd never expected that, and now her nerviousness returned for some reason. Relationships wasn't something she'd mastered in college, or high school or anywhere else. At least not emotional ones. Political ones were easy compared to those, or so her mind kept believing. By instinct she recomposed herself, and gave a faint smile.
The mood in the room had became tense for a moment and she noticed the tense look on Revello's face, she allowed the smile to get bigger to ease the tensions, 'Thank you, I am sure I shall find someone. Sooner or later ...'
She allowed her words to trail off at the end -- weather she did it do to the butterflies that seemed crammed in her stomach or because she was giving him a chance to take some sort of lead here, was beyond her -- but whatever her real reason was, the ball was now in the Killian President's court all of the sudden.

"So, it would be safe to assume the same thing for you then?"
Killia, The Imperial Republic
Riyabou sat quiet for just a moment, as if she was still trying to grasp what Revello had said. She knew her past was darker than many would ever know, and she didn't want a foreign president knowing either.
Though as she went to answer, to give her always generic 'no', something else came out, "Yes."
It shocked her beyond all words, and she nearly lost his calm face -- though her lack of words after speaking would give Revello a hint that it was a touchy subject.
She sighed internally, now that it was out there she couldn't very well pull back now, "A long time ago -- with someone who I'd rather not talk about. Suffice it to say, the child didn't make it. Since there I have feared giving birth to anymore children."
She, once more, shocked herself by reavealing so much. Though in the back of her mind she felt a sort of connection to Revello, as if their pasts could relate in some ways.

"So, how is the wine and your meal?"
Killia, The Imperial Republic
She noticed Revello's words and the emotion behind them, they comforted her more than she thought they would. It'd been many, many years since she'd told anyone about that tragic event. It would probably be many more years until she did it again.
She didn't, however, allow her thoughts to wonder so far as to not hear Revello's next question, and she answered it with just as much grace as could be expected, "Very good, full of flavor, something I'm not accustomed too back in the Republic."
To any politican it would be a joke, and it was intended as one here -- despite how true it may have been. Jagada was a very bland country in many aspects.
She took a moment to reflect, but only a moment -- the Killian President had bot her interest and, at least now, a level of her trust. All from just a short time knowing him. Riyabou's eyes would change to Revello, but only for a minute -- the eyes were those that he could not match, the eyes of a woman sizing up the man in front of her. Not for political reasons, but emotional ones. She knew the gaze startled most men. Would it startle him though?

"I am glad that the meal is satisfying to you. Thank god I am president, or else we would be waiting years for a reservation."
Revello laughed again, feeling incredible jovial. It may have been the wine, he had thought, but another thought crossed his mind; the fact that he had felt a deep connection eased him greatly, and made his problems feel ever so minimal. When Revello picked his head up from his dinner, he immediately caught eyes with Riyabou's. He immediately knew she had been looking him, and unafraid he looked back into hers.
Killia, The Imperial Republic
Riyabou waited to reply to Revello's joke, and when their eyes met she half-expected him to look somewhere else and quickly talk about some nonsense or another. It was common for men to do that, men without the kind of nerve nessecary to do great things. Revello, however, didn't and that nearly caused Riyabou to actually look away. Thats when she realized, weather he intended to do so or not, that it was her test to see if she was made of the same mettle.
Now she allowed an almost seductive smirk to appear on her face -- not allowing to go as far as to look slutty, but certainly putting her interest out there. She did this all against her political instincts which were yelling at her and using sledgehammers on her mind's eye to try and bring her back to reality, back to the calm embrace of her political mask. She was too far gone for this to happen, but she kept her reserve -- if only because all woman had a natural reserve they kept, it seemed to give them an upper hand against all men, who seemed to only have an impulsive side of them.
"Yes, it would be a tragedy if you weren't President," her words were laced with something not even she was sure of, but the first one to describe it was 'interest', "Reservations to a place like this would be hard to come by. Am I right or am I wrong?"

However, after Revello smiled, he spoke again,
"Even if they are hard to come by, nothing is too good for foreign dignitaries, and --- you."

Riyabou noticed how the mood had changed from tense to nearly relaxed, albeit not too relaxed. Like two long-time friends enjoying a game of chess, save she viewed the Killian President in more ... dare she say, emotional lights. She listened carefully and his last comment did nothing but flatter her, and she felt more of the restrictions her political mask placed on her bring to chip away.
Her seductive smile open filled with more emotion, as her once piercing eyes now dulled a little and filled with kindness, "That is truly flattering, Revello. May I also add what a wonderful job you are doing at entertaining me?"

Revello's words had a slight innuendo to them, but not enough to offend. He did not want to come across as a smooth talker, but sometimes years in the political light can do that to a man.
As the waiter began to clean up the dinner that the two leaders had been enjoying, Revello's thoughts went from calm to panicky. He was enjoying the evening too much to let it end after dinner, and he needed to think of something to extend it, and quickly.
"So, would you like dessert, or maybe to hit the town? Surely you may have heard of something you might have wanted to visit."
As Revello let his last words fall on the ears of Riyabou, he winced internally knowing that the leader would have heard the desperation in his voice.

Riyabou smirked internally as she heard such desperation -- in other circumstances she would have respected him less, but her more natural instincts told her what he was trying to do, and that pleased her more than him keeping his steel-like composure.

Riyabou nodded and slowly from the table, she noticed her bodyguards appoarching once more. When they got within whispering range she finally gave instructions, "Please remain at reasonable distance away from us, we have important political matters to discuss."
Obviously it was a lie, but it wasn't the bodyguard's jobs to ponder weather it was or it wasn't -- they got their orders from the highest position in government. They obeyed them or they were punished.
Once her bodyguards were at a reasonable distance, she looked at Revello, waiting for him to take the lead.

"Lets go!" Revello said after Riyabou had finished talking to her bodyguards. He took the lead by grabbing her hand and walking at a brisk pace. He immediately paid the waiter what he felt like the bill was going to be, and a generous tip for the entire staff.
He stepped through the open door to find the limousine waiting for them. He escorted Riyabou inside, and then got in himself.
"Scot, lets make this a quick trip back okay?"
He then turned to Riyabou and said,
"Hey, we are probably gonna need to ditch the bodyguards, both yours and mine, but I have a plan if your willing."
After Revello finished his statement, the car lurched forward.
Killia, The Imperial Republic
As she was briskly put in the vehicle she almost felt turned on by the boldness of Revello. When he quickly suggested that they ditch their bodyguards, her political mask screamed at her with the force of a thousand trumpets ... but it was like a dull scretch to her. She was slowly becoming entranced by this man.
"I'm game." She said in an all too unpolitical way. She hoped it would not tarnish her in his eyes.

As the limosuine was making its hasty approach, Revello took out a piece of paper and scrawled something on it. After doing this, he looked over at his guest and said,
"Okay, heres the plan. Its going to take me a little bit to ditch my secret service agents since they are instructed not to listen to me. I know, it sounds stupid, but it was devised that way so the president couldn't do what I am about to do. Anyway, so, your going to get changed and take this note to the garage all the way in the back of the White House. Give it to the attendant there, and everything should be taken care of. Once you get the car, drive out the back road and I will meet you there as soon as possible. I hope you have better luck ditching your guys than I do mine, since, shit, I haven't done it in a while."
The car came to an abrupt stop outside the White House driveway. Revello quickly headed out and gave a nod to Riyabou. From the car she could see him bolting to the front entrance.
Killia, The Imperial Republic
Riyabou smirked as Revello made his way to the entrance of the White House -- his secret service men behind him. The limo, however, kept moving to Riyabou's hotel. Once it reached it, which was only a few minutes from the White House, she exited calmly, slowly, with elegance that did not betray how she truly felt. Her men followed her -- she couldn't just order them not to follow her, they were men, she was a woman, of coarse they knew better than her. Though she had something most men didn't -- a mind.
As they entered the hotel, her men were on her trail -- maybe they suspected something by the two leaders rather quick exit and by Revello's all too unsettling exit from the limo. Regardless, she merely smirked as they followed, she'd never tricked them before so they wouldn't be expecting it.
As she entered her room she confirmed that they had their supicions as one of them tried to enter the room with her, she spun around, feeling his presence, and gave him a cold look, the type of cold look that only a woman could give, one that no armored plating, no political title, no weapon could defend against.
"I persume you'll be staying outside my door?" she asked in a your-damn-right-you-will-be-staying-outside-of-this-room tone.
The bodyguard merely nodded in defeat and took a step back, she quickly closed the door behind him. She looked around, she'd have to come up with something quickly. She calmly walked over to her closet, if she made any loud noises they would surely know something was up, so she did everything in a normal way. Not allowing desire to overwhelm paitence. She looked at the back of her closet and found some less formal attire -- she'd only brought it to get comfortable in once the business was over. Now she'd require it, she opened her briefcase ... yes she did in fact carry one, to give her a more manly apperance. Many foreigners wouldn't believe it in a religious country like Jagada, but the more manly you looked the more you were respected. She emptied its contents out on her bed which included various files and intelligance reports -- it was very dangerous for her to leave them here.
She paused with that thought ... was this a trick by Revello to get intelligance reports or information on Jagada from her. Her political 'angel' told her yes, but her heart told her no. For the first time since the conception of her now deceased child ... she let he heart win as she neatly folded her comfortable clothes into the briefcase and closed it. She then sighed, she knew what she'd have to do from here.
She opened the door and the bodyguards all gave her a look -- all three of them that were there. She snapped her fingers as she walked out and they all followed close behind her. Her face gave an all too familiar impression of annoyance and purpose.
"Gentlemen, there has been a change in plans," she said coldly and annoyed, "I'm heading to the Risbani Embassy located at the southeastern part of the city."
"Madame Minister, what has prompted this move?" one of the guards said, and backed it up with, "We will need to know so that we know what to expect."
She gave a heavy annoyed sigh, "Very well. President Revello has agreed to support our claims on northern Risban, and we are both going jointly to inform the Risban ambassador of the decision."
As the bodyguard went to reply she stopped and gave him a cold look, "Yes, it is highly unorthodox -- its why I've chosen to do it this way. Anymore questions?"
The bodyguards simply lowered their heads, as they often did when they questioned her. As they exited the hotel they made their way towards two limos, one was hers and the others was the bodyguards. As she entered hers, she looked at her driver, who was a homely old man. She'd met him when she was a child and he'd always been kind to her, that was why she handpicked him to be her driver -- even in foreign countries.
"Henry, I hope that you were once a reckless teenager," she said. The homely old man looked at her puzzled, "I need to loose my bodyguards."
His old face gave a smile of revalation, "That nice Revello boy caught your eye?"
She smirked, "Maybe, but thats none of your business."
He gave a small chuckle and nodded, "I'm not so old as to be completely incompetent Madame Minister."
The convoy started slowly towards the Risbani Embassy, as Riyabou then instructed Henry to do so -- but to keep and eye out for alternative routes. His GPS was going crazy as he pressed a series of buttons and multiple paths appeared. He smirked and looked up at her in the rearview mirror, "Madame Minister, would you perfer a smooth or rough ride?"
"Smooth if you can manage it Henry," she laughed.
He nodded and suddenly made an immediate left turn, almost illegally as the light was yellow. The bodyguards slammed on their breaks to stop at the light and flashed furiously at Henry's car to stop. Even in foreign countries the bodyguards were informed to obey all local laws. Henry simply pertended as if he didn't hear them and kept driving, slowly increasing his speed. He went about half a mile before turning down an alley, surveying the area before advancing too far he stopped the vehicle and sat paitently.
"Madame Minister, give them a moment to pass."
She nodded and a moment later the bodyguards really did pass, Henry waited another minute before starting the limo back up, and slowly advancing down the alley to the road which cut threw it twenty yards ahead. There he managed, barley, to pull onto the road. The rest of the trip was easy and quiet, Riyabou observing the Killian skyscrappers and shops. After a few more minutes she found herself looking at the back of the White House.
She smiled as she stepped out of the limo and walked around to the driver's window, where Henry waited with a cautious look on his face, "You be careful young lady, we don't need another dead leader."
She shook her head, "Don't worry, if things go to hash, I'll be more than capable of taking care of myself."
Henry smiled and rolled up his window, she watched him as he drove off. From there she went were Revello had instructed her to, and there she recieved the keys to the vehcile. After being escorted to it, she found that it was an elegant, unmarked porche. She got into the driver seat and started it up, and gave a smile to the attendant before calmly pulling out of the garage and made her way to the back road. There she drove very slowly, stopping from to time to give Revello all the time he needed.

Revello was tearing through the residential quarters of the White House in a frantic bid to get to his room as quickly as possible. Luckily for him it was late at night and only those who lived in the quarters were up and about, so not many people would see him. When Revello made it to his room he immediately started tearing through his draws for his less formal attire. As he was doing this his friend, and Secretary of State and Foreign Affairs, Allen Johnson came bursting through the door.
"Hey, your back and -- wait a minute, your not going back out again are you?"
"I am." Revello replied, "And I am going to need your help to get away from here without 'you know who' on my tail."
"Oh man, your not pulling THAT again are you? Why man? This chick get put a spell on you or something?"
"Its entirely possible, but a gentlemen never tells. C'mon man, I need you. I can tell you everything later, but the nights burning as we speak."
"Ugh. Fine."
Revello finished putting on his street clothes and headed to the bathroom while Johnson headed towards the basement. Johnson was not thrilled to be helping Revello break out, especially with a foreign leader, but his loyalties as a friend overruled his objections as a politician.
As Johnson made his way down into the clandestine basement, Revello waited in the bathroom for his cue. Johnson's destination would be the large room containing most of the White House's circuit breakers. As usual there were two armed guards blocking the entrance to the door. As Johnson got closer, he was acknowledged by the guard, who seemed to know what was going on.
"Breaking Mr. Revello out again sir?"
"Yeah, and as per our agreement you two get what I promised before."
Johnson entered the room and hit the main breaker, cutting all power to the upper levels. When the lights went off in the bathroom Revello opened the window knowing that the alarm system wouldn't be triggered until the emergency power came back on. He had roughly thirty seconds to get out. When Revello got his body out of the window, he shimmied down the back of the White House onto the back lawn where he noticed the entourage of secret service making advances of suspicion to the house.
Revello made his final exit by dashing to the back road where Riyabou was waiting for him. He opened the passenger door, lit a cigarette and tossed the two masks into the backseat of the car before saying,
"Piece of cake, lets go"
Killia, The Imperial Republic
As Riyabuo's foot pressed down on the accelerator of the Porsche and the sports cars took off as quietly as could be expected. While she didn't know the roads, her common sense told her to make a turn here and there before finally getting on one of Killia's various highways. Then she turned to Revello,
"So, whats my exit," she said with a grin -- the question was obviously a cute way to ask 'where the hell am I going?'.

"The exit is coming up about three after this one."
Revello said while pointing to the exit that they had just sped by. Revello was impressed by Riyabuo's driving ability, and he didn't feel any worries with her behind the wheel of one of his most treasured possessions.
"Here it is."
Killia, The Imperial Republic
As Riyabou took the exit, cautiously observing her surrondings -- she wasn't a Killian, so she didn't know how they drove. If it were anything like the Jagites, she could be hit by some maniac at any moment.
Once she took the exit she glanced over to the club Revello was talking about.

As the car headed onto the exit ramp, Revello began guiding Riyabuo to their ultimate destination. When the car had made a left turn onto a busy street, the club came into view. The music could be heard all the way down the street, and the line to get in was even longer than that. All along the sidewalks masses of people were waiting to get in, all of them in their masks.
"Okay, stop over their in front of the club. From there a valet will take the car. After that, I'll talk to the bouncer and we'll keep this great night goin'."
After the car had come to a stop outside of the place, Revello had put on his mask and instructed Riyabuo to do the same. Once the valet attendant had approached Revello stepped out onto the sidewalk, and proceeded to talk to the large bouncer guarding the entrance. After roughly a minute of conversation, the bouncer stepped aside and motioned for the two to head in.
