OCC: Just so you know, the 5.56mm round cannot often penetrate teh body armor of NS tech.

OOC: This is a good weapon, aside from the relatively weak rounds, which can be easily changed. I have always been partial to the bulpup design, and this exploits the advantages of that. You may wish to put in info about attachments, such as bayonets, granade launchers, etc.

I was going to do that, like make a LMG and Carbine version. What size round should I use?

OOC:
5.56mm isn't a bad round and in the right loading is remarkably good at penetrating armour although it can be bettered. The current trend in terms of smalla rsm roudns is towards the "intermediate assault rifle" round i.e. a round in the 6-7mm catagory, expemplifeid in RL by 6.8mm SPC and 6.5mm Grendel and on NS by numerous more or less similar rounds.

Most of the RL rounds shouldn't be too difficult to adapt a 5.56mm based weapon to, since many of them are designed to be fired from M-16/AR-15 upper receiver conversions

Beat me to a response there - the Grendel is a very good round for most purposes. I personally use a somewhat heavier round, but the Grendel should be fine.
