The President of SilentScope001 hereby request for the help of the international community...
The "UN Patent Law", a law that has safegarded many of our patents, as well as the patents of all nations in the UN, will be repealed. This repeal has been revealed by our delegates to be very dangerous, stifling creativty, and harming the economy as a whole. People will no longer want to innovante, with fear that countries may start to legally violate patents in other nations. People can buy a product, then reverse-enigneer this product and sell it to others. They are stealing that product, and thereby stealing all the work that person has done.
We are upset. We are Socialists, but we realize that patents are necessary. And, it looks to me that the UN will pass this bill:

Yes, someone will, sooner or later, reintroduce the same bill in the UN, and patents will be protected, but what will happen in the meantime? And even now, people in non-UN nations can start pirating products (not under this bill), stealing money that we have.
We need to safeguard patents, and because of this, I call for a military alliance!
All nations swear:
1. To respect each others' patents in each other's nations.
2. Possibly to come up with a uniform standard for patents. I'd suggest copying word-for-word from the UN Patent Law, but I realize that we may require the use of Non-UN nations here.
3. To ensure that all our patents have meaning, by CRACKING DOWN ON PIRATES, regardless of what nation they belong to.
The third term is clear. We find someone who is pirating, we go and bring them to justice. If we find that people will not respect our patents, then this military alliance will force them to do so. This may not be needed if the Repeal fails, but it won't. It will pass, and we will abide by the repeal, but this means that all our products will be copied, and that indursty will be ruined. Even if the Repeal fails, there are non-UN nations who can still copy our products.
Do you want your greatest inventions to be copied by some idiot pirate and resold? Of course not. But it can happen, unless we all organize. We need to start up this military alliance, and we need to work together to protect patents and destroy pirates.
