Welcome to Polaris Arms, the Imperium's premiere supplier of personal weapons. Please note that restrictions on weapons sales to certain countries are strictly enforced. Also note that while are factories are not set up to produce large-quantity orders in anything other than Imperial standard calibers, we are more than happy to issue Unlimited Domestic Production Rights with schematics of the rechambered weapon, the relevant manuals, and a hundred physical examples for a reasonable fee; however, note that there are limitations as to how the weapons can be rechambered (round must be caseless and have a maximum cartridge length of no more than 30mm.)

Recently the People's Secretariat for Defence signed in to accordance P.D.I 241, which demands that a small force of elite soldiers be trained in "unique and unconventional weaponry and tactics"

Ziedjistan is modernizing it's armed forces, mainly supplied with ex-Soviet equipment currently, and is looking into procuring some armaments and field testing them against a shifty neighbor of ours (limited warfare, black ops, nothing major)

We would wish to order 1,200 M58s

And 600 of your Elite Marksman Rifles.

I'm sorry but we must pay in our currency, the State Note, and inflation has ravaged our economy. Can you accept?

Give us the amount you request in Imperial, and we will reimburse with our currency.

Polaris Arms Inc would be pleased to fulfill this order and we are willing to accept your State Note at standard exchange rates ($N437.57 = I$1). For the M-58 order your sub-total is $N1,023,913,800. For the Designated Marksmen Pulse Rifle the sub-total is $N665,543,970. That comes to a grand total of $N1,689,457,770. Please note that ammunition will be $N43,757 per thousand rounds.

As an aside, we have mentioned your nation's economic plight to our Industrial Projects Department and they have indicated that if it comes to a point where your Secretariat is pleased with the performance of our rifles and wish to make them your military's standard, it would be fairly simple to start up a factory or two in your nation that would employ upwards of a hundred thousand people to manufacture weapons and ammo.

Official Communique

The current standard arms of the NPAF are as follows-
L85A2 Assault Rifle
FN-P90TR Personal Defence Weapon

However, upon reviewing Polaris Arms weaponary, we are reconsidering standard soldier weapon issue for the future. We have to admit, we are very impressed with the blueprints analysed.

Due to the nature of the rapid expansion of the NPAF, and indeed Nova Pictavia's high growth rate, domestic production rights would be highly favourable. However, we await your advice on how to best replace our current models with your own, and request an overview of each weapon if this is at all possible. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

The first troops to be armed with your weaponary, should we choose to purchase, would be the First Fleet Task Force of the CHA-RRF. We are not sure if you are aware of the CHA (Combined Heart Alliance, or simply Combine for short), but your weapons would be tested in deployment in the nation of Mirosovia on a RRF peacekeeping mission.

Before we graciously await your reply, we hope you may answere the following question without any offence intended. Should you wish to withhold said information, this will not effect commercial or diplomatic relations at this moment, however this cannot be guaranteed in the future.
-What are your current relations/views of British Londinium or the Blackhelm Confederacy, and your economic ties with them (if any)?
[This is purely a precaution as we would be adverse to funding any military operations of said nations.

Thankyou very much for your time,
S.Rousse

SUB: RE: Change of Standards

A domestic production license is more than possible. Our normal fee for non-allies is 5 million per design (which includes detailed blueprints, tools, dies, etc) plus a 30% royalty on every weapon produced. We are unsure what you mean about a rundown on the weapons, if you could clarify the point we would be more than happy to accommodate you.

As for our stance on British Londinium, Blackhelm Confederacy, or the CA in general, we don't have one. We are a private organization and as a matter of course we don't dabble in local or international politics beyond what is necessary to negotiate contracts with governments. That said, as an arms manufacturing company the Imperial Government has a right to prevent sales to certain countries and all the CA member states would fall under that category.

First of all, i would like to thankyou again for your cooperation and first class customer services. As for the rundown on weaponary, we are torn with which model to produce to replace our own Assault Rifle and PDW, as we do not fully understand the field application of certain weapons. In other words, could you summarize the practical differences (I.e not just the specs.) of your weapons. Sorry if this is any inconvienience.

Lastly, how would your 30% royalty affect us if we were producing the rifles for government and military use only, as we do not intend to produce your weapons in the private sector as personnal firearms are mostly illegal and as a result extremely rare.

SUB: RE: RE: Change of Standards

Bot the M57 and M58 would work well as a replacement for most assault rifles. The M56 is designed specifically to be the weapon of choice where PDWs would normally be issued; as you will note from the 4.85mm Imperial's stats, felt recoil is effectively zero, so rear-line soldiers will have no problem firing this weapon in automatic mode and keeping the bullets on target.

As for the royalty fee, unfortunately that applies to all nations who wish to produce weapons and don't qualify as allies of the Imperium. Please note than any production license granted would strictly prohibit selling these weapons on the open market; we understand this is extremely unlikely to occur in your nation, but we feel the point should be clarified.

Initial licensing fees will come to $45 million, which includes production rights to the three proprietary calibers our rifles use. All items necessary to start production will be included in this fee. A 30% royalty on the production cost of each rifle (or bullet, as the case may be) shall be delivered in full by the last day of the month of production.

OOC: If there's a 30% royalty fee on the cost of each item, including the 45 million requested, would this not defeat the money saving advantage of domestic production rights?

Surely, it would not be much dearer to simply purchase the rifles, if more expensive at all...

God this is taking ages to get my hands on these, if only they didn't look so damn good...

[Shipping's expensive. It takes a standard Imperial cargo ship a month, at the least, to clear the region of Haven. Plus, you can manufacture how ever many you want and make whatever modifications you want without having to consult PAI multiple times. So, in the end, it is cheaper to go with the DPR.]

Sorry to nitpick further, but perhaps a re designation of the weapons to avoid confusion with the RL M-60 etc., perhaps the P-60 and so on as a suggestion.
