The French had that ugly half-moon LMG, the Germans had HMGs and so did the brits, so its completely possible.

The half-moon one was deemed more effective as a club than as a gun by most of the troops who used them, though.

Very cool, like one should expect after all from talent like yours. Is that jacket a Maxim-style water-cooling system or Lewis-style forced-draught air-cooling instead? It seems with water cooling you could approximate GPMG performance in the light role, at least for short or magazine-length bursts.
I'm looking over Eu1914, although I can't promise anything since I'm struggling with two linked war RPs and an evacuation RP coming up. Plus New SYAE whenever I get my factbook for there done. Say, I've had an Earth of my own bouncing about in my head ever since The People's Earth died off too young. Interested? If so or whatever, TG me so we don't threadjack; and we can discuss a pretty interesting twist on the Earth-RP concept I've come up with, prospective-mod to prospective-vice mod.;)

Wow, thanks. As for the UAR-13 the cooling system is a lewis-style forced-draught air-cooling, to make this weapon easier to transport and so you don't have to waste time setting it up.

Figured that was a bit more likely; and it works as well for the modern Pecheneg (although I'm a bit leery of the carrying handle design there for that one). You might want to look into pioneering a post-UAR13 pseudo-GPMG (probably would have to be closer to heavy than medium given WWI tech, but a weapon to get more flexibility out of the heavies and inspire later developments). Whatever you do with this Czechalprussian line of gear, I'm seriously considering using it if the scenario I'm RPing at the time calls for a World Wars tech puppet or (I know, another...) AU version of my main country.
Anyway, just keep up the cool work:cool:; and if you're interested in that Earth idea I'm going to start the OOC discussion for today, by all means jump in. I can say here that it'll be more 'lite' than some of the arch-realistic worlds (or even the fairly-liberal and late TPE), but RP and economics/factbook etiquette will remain enforced; that way this Earth could give new players a chance to practice the RP conventions in the stickies without (undue:p) humiliation, and yet also provide the seasoned veterans a place to just let their zanier sides rip without going too off-the-wall.

The Uar-13 was used briefly by our nation in the Macavaon conflict by the Theoropian military. You could put that down, if you want.

Thanks for the info. Keep me informed about that RP.

Thanks, I like to add what conflicts my weapons have been in.
