Kiwiland Message to The Greater American Empire

HM Government of Kiwiland wishes to setup diplomatic relations with the Greater American Empire. To that end we dispatch Ambassador Sakaba Hitoshi to Washington, and invite you to establish an embassy in our capital Osaka.

In addition, Kiwiland hopes to import weaponry from the Greater American Empire; specifically, we would like to purchase 400 F-22 Fighters and 3,000 Tomahawk cruise missiles, preferably with production rights for the latter.

FOREIGN ARMAMENTS PROCUREMENT ACT OF 2007
Emperor Stephanus IV has decreed that no foreign nation, with the exceptions of the Balkan Union of Eastern Europe, and the United Republics of the South, shall be permitted to purchase American arms. They are under quotas for highly advanced weaponry such as the F-22 Raptor, while other armaments are subject to their ability to pay.

The Saharan Confederate Expanse is somewhat puzzled by America's pursuit of lack of business, but will gladly go to the RSFSR or other foreign-friendly country, such as the Commonwealth of Communist Portugal-Spain or Animaria, for military and other business contracts as well.

The United Empire expresses disdain at the cold attitues of the American Empire, and lodges a complaint against the Americans' refusal to even respond to our requests directly.

Janes Weekly Reveals Leaguer Military Expansion

Janes weekly has discovered that the Pheonician League has placed orders with numerous Weapons Manufacturers, both within the league and outside of it, to initiate a phase of military expansion unheard of in the history of the league.
Firstly, the Pheonician Air Force has announced that it has placed orders for several squadrons worth of new aircraft, including 48 additional F-15I Strike Aircraft, 24 A-10Cs from American Air Force Spare Stocks, and most intrigingly, 36 F-22A Raptor Air Superiority Aircraft. The final item is perhaps the most shocking, as this would significantly shift the balance of power in the region.
Next, the Pheonician Naval Defence Forces have announced plans to purchase additional weapons and avionics from various American Defence Companies, enough to suppply a new batch of three Sa'ar-5 Missile Corvettes, in addition to parts to supply a group of eight SH-60 Seahawk Helocopters of an unknown type.
Finally, the Pheonician Ground Defence Forces and its subsiduary, the Cypriot Gaurd, have announced plans that will see the Cypriot Guard Armoured Battalion transistioning from the T-80U to the Merkava-4 Baz over the next few years, the spare vehicles will be sold at highly reduced cost to the Balkan Union, where they will join that nations significant corps of Eastern Designed Armoured Vehicles.
The Main Arm of the Ground Defence Forces has also annoucned that all Merkava Mk2 and Mk1s in service, even with Reserve Units, will be removed from service, converted into Heavy APCs, and distrubuted to various infantry units through the standard replacement procedure.
These will be replaced by Merkava Mk3 Baz Main Battle Tanks, and Merkava Mk3D Dor Dalets, which will be displaced from second and first echelon formations by the construction of additional Merkava Mk4 Baz Tanks, all operational Armoured Fighting Vehicles in service after the end of this program will be equipped with Trophy Active Protection Systems.
Included in this group are the Magach 6Bs and 7s, whose retirement program has been halted following the increased international tension resulting from the Balkan Union's annexation of Armenia, which is viewed as perfectly legitimate by the Israeli Government.
