A New Era
“I do heed the call of my people with the swift and potent judgment of my vote on the heads of state for whom pay no regard to my opinions or beliefs. Despite their ill-intention towards the people’s negative response it has never persuaded them to make the right actions when necessary.”
A chubby and balding man of a pear-like shape stepped up to the podium. On a stage with the national flag and symbol on the podium made of fine cherry and lacquered with a tinge of vermilion; he stood awkwardly and stared nervously into the camera. His carbuncled face squinted as he fixed his pupils at the paper in front of him and he began to read in raspy and charismatic-less voice, “Thank you members of the board for this honor, bestowed upon our company. ARM wishes to express its thanks with an announcement of our success and new home in Eralineta.”
The man turned around towards the national flag of Eralineta that stood behind him and pulled a tether, the flag parted and a single red star emblazoned on the billboard containing a tank with turret turned towards the sky and the star treaded across an unnamed forest. A grey-haired man in a black suit stood to the podium and spoke in a deep proud voice.
“Unbound by the laws of corrupt and fearful nations ARM has at last found refuge in a nation of science and technology. The blacksmiths of war and blessed with the wisdom of the gods ARM has begun a new program in Eralineta to build the world’s most powerful weapons of war for the nation! ARM believes that power makes right and we are unbound by conventional limits and regulations. We will change the way in which war is conducted! Every nation will want to purchase our specialized tanks for whatever purpose they require. ARM will bring glorious profits and protection to Eralineta!”
