Declaration of the Macavaoan Government

Macavao
24-03-2007, 04:28
From the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Macavao:

The Republic, having been officially declared independent and free as of midnight, 22 March by the Frente Popular da Liberação de Macavao, hereby announces its intention to seek military and economic aid with the goal of constructing a powerful and self-reliant African socialist nation.

With the imperialist occupiers finally expelled by the revolutionary vanguard after years of struggle, we have dedicated ourselves to protecting the Macavaoan people at all costs. Any military aid, specifically in the area of small arms, aircraft, and ground vehicles, will be graciously accepted and rewarded with trade rights to our nation's significant gold, diamond, ivory and untapped oil reserves.

Aside from military assistance, Macavao seeks help in educating its people and teaching them to read; as it stands, some 20% of the world's population are unable to read or write. We also desperately require the construction of new hospitals, airports, roads and river infrastructure to make even the most neglected areas of the nation united and powerful.

We eagerly await any aid possible, and call upon all comrades worldwide in the name of socialist internationalism. Even those brothers who cannot provide direct aid are welcome to establish relations and trade.

Viva a revolução Macavaoan! Viva solidariedade!

The Dictatorship of Bomble would like to congratulate Frente Popular da Liberação de Macavao for their part in the liberation of your nation from "imperialist bastards". Please find enclosed a congratulatory can of "Death Volcano", the fizziest canned beverage in the world. We hope that this brings joy, love and many a loud burp to whomever is so lucky to consume it.

Also find enclosed a card depicting a small child scoring a goal. We feel that the title ("You've Reached Your Goal!"), is highly suitable and hope it will be displayed proudly to foreign ambassadors and local workers alike.

We regret to inform you that aid to your country shall not be possible in the near future. This is due to the rather large overdraft that the foreign aid account currently carries, as a result of celebrations of the Foreign Secretary's 50th birthday last week. Let me assure you, we're still feeling the effects of it! All measures will be taken to compensate this negative balance (the new "Walking Tax Bill" is ready to be passed). Bomble hopes that we can communicate further in due course.

Mobley hated socialist and communists with a fiery passion. If it was up to him, he would have a million men marching to this disgusting third-world nation. Unfortunately it was not. Of course, that was why he created his Blackshirts Militia. They were nearly a million strong, all trained in military warfare in the forests of TPF, and all very well funded by "donations" Best of all, was that these Blackshirts had no official ties to TPF itself, and thus could be used anywhere. Mobley grinned, this would be quite fun. He slid his chair over to his bar, drank a shot of Vodka, and sent the orders from his computer.

Sergeant Beckham readied his squad for the upcoming invasion. More than 20,000 Blackshirts would be invading this pathetic country. They were all well trained, well armed and most importantly, motivated to eradicate the Communist bugs. The only thing Beckham wished they had was air support, but they would have to make do with what they had. They did however, have plenty of artillery and tanks. Over 1,000 Cougar medium tanks would accompany them as well as hundreds of 155mm artillery and a couple dozens rocket launchers. Beckham's squad belonged to 2nd platoon, 1st Company, 1st Battalion, 2nd Regiment, 3rd Division, and they were all well armed with small arms. The attack force would arrive via Pegasus Navy, a privately owned company. They didn't have fleet carriers or battleships, but they had enough ships so they could safely transport the men. They also has some Escort Carriers, so Beckham didn't understand why the couldn't stick around and offer air support. Perhaps the most important weapons were the numerous canisters of mustard gas and sarin gas being loaded into special containers. The artillery could lob a whole bunch at any enemy target. With that, the whistle blew, and they headed on to the transports.

OCC: Yep, they're going to invade you. I'm sure you'll find some allies to assist you. So are you landlocked or on the water?

Mobley was very happy to hear that more crusaders would join them. Even better, they were deploying air support, that would help greatly in the upcoming struggle with the godless commies. OOC: Sadly, as I'm not located in a particularly RP-ish region, I don't have a map. I could make one rather quickly, but I'm not sure where it would tie into the other countries involved. I'll get a longer post in a bit, but I'm in something of a hurry.

Major Jose Bangara held his glasses to his eyes as the jeep bounced along the dusty road leading to his camp. It ground to a brief halt at the gate, where a pair of tired soldiers in khaki uniforms and berets swung open the gate and allowed entry. A tattered flag flew over one of the barracks, whilea few yards away a platoon of men marched across a dirt airstrip with rifles in hand.

The Major walked into his commander office. The Colonel, a tall, wiry man in the uniform of a guerrilla fighter and an ever-present cigarette in his mouth, was pacing across the room and glancing at a plethora of maps on the wall.

"Colonel," the major saluted. "The Party command have called for defensive preparations. We are to arm the anti-aircraft weapons and dig trenches immediately."

"Send a detail to set up a perimeter. Make sure the men are ready."

----

President Alejandro Mana'awe stood before his cabinet, the blue-red-yellow-black flag of Macavao hanging on the wall behind him.

"Comrades, as you know we are under attack by a new imperial power. We have received offers of support from our socialist brothers around the world. Minister Santos, what can we receive?"

"So far, comrade-President, the nations of SilentScope001, Sendersdale, Karullia, Corbournne, and Dragonicale have offered to send soldiers and aid."

"Excellent. Open the airfields to all their forces and prepare for guerrilla warfare if necessary."

" Go Go Go!" yelled Sergeant Beckham. Thousands of troops started to pour from their transport ships onto the beach. Soon, they heavy hovercraft came onto the beach dropping the Cougar medium tanks. Artilley would follow soon after, but first they would start to kill.

The first small town was just three miles away. Beckham and his battalion loaded up into their Crisis armored cars and drove to the town. Their job was to eliminate any communist supporters. That was everyone. Beckham knew they would have to do it the hard way. The artillery wasn't yet up, so the usual gas method couldn't be used. The cars pulled into the main street, where the mayor was looking to get on the "Liberators" good side. He was a fat, pudgy man, who huffed and puffed. He nervously greeted the soldiers.
" Hello! Hello! Please! Welcome! Our local hotel has rooms reserved for you and our bar has free drinks! Please, let me talk to your leader."
Beckham's Colonel soon came over and just grinned. He pulled out his gun and shot the mayor in his face. Beckham turned off the safety and started to spray some townsfolk. One of his squad members turned around and aimed his flamethrower at the grocery store. The extreamly hot flames lurched from his weapon, devouring the store. The scene was repeated througeout the town.

Cpt Zachary grabbed his M4 carbine and lined up with the other soldiers and squeezed through the insides of the transport barges. (I personally don't want to see another world war come of a smaller scale conflict like this, so I'd prefer to keep it here, but it's Macavao's descision.)

IC: For the first time in almost forty years, the United Socialist States of Corbournne was mobilized for war. Already having sent off their first wave of aid to Macavao, the parliament was now voting on whether to conduct a full-scale draft in response to the crisis.

Sea, off the coast of Macavao (if there is one)

Corbournne's High Admiral, Andrew Pentecostal, stood on the bridge of the U.S.S.S. Indefatigable. Looking over the vast expanse of water, he knew the mission. His navy was to initiate a blockade to prevent any more capitalist pigs from landing troops onto sovereign territory. His carriers would hopefully supply enough aircraft to prevent landings, as well. No ship could enter the blockade unless it was of a socialist nation, and no supplies would be allowed to the capitalist army already on shore.

Air, over Macavao

A young, scrawny man sat in the corner of a plane. "C'mon, private." The voice was strident and spoken with an air of authority. The speaker grabbed the private's shoulder and threw him out of the plane. Following suit, the sergeant who had spoken pulled a cord entangled in his uniform, and a parachute unfurled, guiding him safely to the ground.

The reason they simply didn't just land in the Macavaon airports was that they were already almost full to bursting with aircraft full of support for the friendly government in the form of two thousand Panzers and one thousand artillery pieces.

Thirty thousand of Corbournne's soldiers now began to jump like the sergeant, landing just outside the capital city. It proved to be quite a spectacle in the sky, and many Macavaon citizens left their homes to watch the incredible "leaping humans."

"Fellow councillors, we have a problem. I have received a message from Ambassador Coeyman in Macavao this morning. Forces from ThePeople'sFreedom have been spotted within the country. Initial clashes have been light, and then most invasive action so far has been leaflet-dropping. However several countries have already sent military aid to either side, exacerbating the situation.

"My proposal is to send a diplomatic negotiations force into the area. High Marshal, Defence Minister, what naval and ground support can we spare in case this fails?"

Defence Minister Sokai Otetsu stood and glanced across to the High Marshal. "Well, Rimm and I believe we can safely send the Alexander, along with the Eridain and the Mirielle into the combat zone. General Daleburn says he can have 750 Pathfinders ready for deployment within the day, and I think we can transport the 1st New Haven Territorial into the combat zone if needed. This gives us 5,750 men, One carrier, a frigate, and a destroyer. If a larger scale operation is needed, we would need to engage the air force to insert the 3rd Tank Platoon, and the 1st Starstreak Company."

First Concillor Scott Lewis frowned. Yet another war. "Very well. The Council will vote, first for Sapphire's diplomatic action, then the military action."

The votes were returned- 11-2 in favour of diplomacy, and 7-6 in favour of military intervention.

A note though. As it seems that your nation is being invaded by a much more powerful empire, it seems to me that it will be unlikely to surivie. I will attempt to put political pressure, but that may not work...

What I think may be likely is that your nation will spilt apart. The Capitalists will seize contorl of one half of the country, and you will seize the other half. The United Socialist States of Corbournne issues an official statement to all nations that believe a compromise should be reached that Macavao is a sovereign nation, and it should not be split apart against the will and consent of the people.

(Until I see a map, my army will remain stationary.)

Corbournne's soldiers, invigorated from the air that had been shoved up their nostrils while parachuting, were rowdy in camp that night. Miles away, Macavaon citizens could hear the foreign singing, and many of the troops wandered into their towns drunk. The officers only allowed this due to the fact that their men had toiled endlessly ever since their feet had landed on the soil. Massive earthworks had been dug, along with a network of trenches. King Tigers and Panzers had emplacements built around them, as did the nebelwerfers and other artillery.

Though Field Marshal Liam Betts did not know whether his army would be remaining here in the capital or not, he figured the redoubts would give them somewhere to fall back upon should they initially be defeated. Eventually, a radio mam emcroached on his tent.

"Sir," said the Coporal, firmly saluting.

"Corporal," replied the Marshal, signaling for the saluting gesture to end.

Either we can have elections to determine who will lead this nation...or we can have the two parties form a power-sharing agreement, by which they both work together, ruling the nation as one government. Both situations will end the violence, while at the same time protecting the country as an individualistic entity.

Capital in Macavao

General: "Now remember! We are 10,000 troopers, here to defend a Socialist republic from a military invasion! We once were enslaved by the Cappie scum, but we freed ourselves!"

Trooper 1: "But we freed ourselves via DEMOCRATIC elections. This nation has killed and killed for its right to freedom and we are totally against warfare."

General: "This is true. But they have just been invaded...invaded. I think we have to step up to the plate, and fight this battle. What if the Capitalist scum invades OUR nation? No amount of votes would free us."

Trooper 2: "You know this is QUITE unpopular. We prefer peace..."

General: "This is why this is totally secret deployment. Already, you have been 'called' for a 'wargame simulation', so everyone will be okay. We save this nation, and we get recalled back to regural duty. Nobody will ever know..."

Trooper 3: "At least until someone leaks the information?"

General: "They will not leak anything. Understand? Not on my watch."

Trooper 2: "...But, what if we die?"

General: "Yeah, so? We'll just say that you got injured during the 'wargame simulation'. If you get hurt, you just got hurt. We will apologize for such unsafe working conditions, and after the lawsuits get dismissed, we promise not to do it again."

Trooper 1: "...But what if we kill people?"

General: "Come on! THIS IS THE ARMY! What else do you think we do?"

Trooper 3: "Protect innocent civilians?"

General: "...Other than that, I mean."

SilentScope001, we appreciate your attempts at peacekeeping, but the capitalist forces are not from this nation. The people here have already made clear communism is their choice, having overthrown Imperials just recently. A divide will only postpone the war, (much like in Korea or Vietnam) and we would rather deal with it now before it becomes another world war.

Major General Stanley stepped down the makeshift podium, the crowd was cheering, he hated public speaking, but his rank came with that. "Heck of a speech sir, we just got a communiqué from Corbournne sir”.

“Good, good, were ahead of schedule, SAMs and SSMs are operational I presumes. Any reports yet from the sentries?”

“All SAMs and SSM are operation. All but the 2nd sentries have reported sir, but nothing big, they all report no hostilities up ahead”.

"Hey! What the-!" the sentry was cut off by a loud gunshot.

"EVERYONE take cover!" screamed Cpt Zachary.

All the marines quickly followed the order and hid behind anything they could find, fallen trees, sandbags, and their dead comrades. Cpt Zachary quickly hid behind a log and was now transmitting a request for reinforcement. The entire company was under intense fire and could do nothing but cower next to their cover and wait for reinforcements. They couldn't even see who was attacking them and considering their position, it didn't take a genius to know that they were outgunned and outnumbered.

Thinking fast, Cpt Zachary quickly threw a grenade where he thought the gunfire was coming from, hoping that it would hit its target.

"Sir, we're transmiting a message from Red Company (Cpt Zachary's group), they seem to be in trouble." replied the colonel.

"Get the battleships ready to fire and ask Red Company what their coordinates are." replied Lt. General John Taylor.

=SECRET-UNKNOWN TO ENEMY=
The 4th Claw Fleet moved silently through the night. It consisted of a super carrier, which held fifty MiG-21s and twenty five Tupolev 22M bombers. Both of them were being armed with torpedoes. There were also two battleships, and three battle cruisers. Unbeknownst to there allies and enemies, a squadron of submarines (five Victors) were underneath them. The enemy battleships would soon be surprised...and dead.

Please remember that my involvement is completely unknown as yet to anyone but The Peoples Freedom.

IC:

The aircraft carrier of the Aleardian Navy (TROA-N or sometimes referred to as The Republic's Navy), named TROA-N Westwood, had been sailing for some time now to deliver the fighter capacity to the region required. Simultaenously, a nearby Aleardian airbase in a neighbouring nation prepared non-carrier aircraft for deployment. All of these actions were secretive as far as Aleard knew, as nobody yet knew of their involvement except The Peoples Freedom.

"TROA-AF forces are ready for action on the ground, sir. TROA-N ship deployments are nearly in place."

When the Blackshirts came into proximity, fighter detachments would launch to defend the transport and other aircraft deployed as the need became apparent.

It was the largest operation Aleard has been involved in since the revolution and break from complete isolationism.

4th Claw Fleet's battle cruisers were the first to spot the enemy battleships. When they did, every single ship in the Fleet turned there engines off, save for the submarines. The submarines, all five of them, went forwards. Each submarine carried four torpedoes each. The sub commanders sat almost a few feet from the first battleship, and waited for the order to fire. It was time these Capitalists learned a lesson.

Suddenly, the super carrier broad casted a message. At the same instant, twenty torpedoes swept towards the enemy battle group. Explosions rocked the surface of the ocean.

The supercarrier launced 50 MiG-22's and 25 Tupolev-22Ms, all armed with torpedoes.

The carrier fleet cut power to the engines fifty miles short of their destination. They would drift into place quite happily. Earily recon flights that had happened gave the armed forces a good idea of what they were looking at geographically, and as best possible a loose plan for every eventuality was formulated.

Flight Command was based at the airbase in the neighbouring nation. When the Comms team based on a vessel in the fleet got into position, they would be able to set-up a direct link between the carrier and Flight Command. Until then, both were a single entity.

Weapons were being tested on board ships and the full functionality of the planes checked as best possible.

The drop down from the sky had been pleasant. No men were lost, but sadly a few light mortars broke on the way down. Although bad, it wouldn't cripple 1st Deep Air Drop Force's effectiveness. What did cripple there effectiveness, Sergeant Khan Lok thought, was the fact that the Great Khan decided only to send 5,000 infantry men, 3,000 BMPs, 1,000 light mortars, and 1,500 tanks instead of the usual size of the division(OCC: Fact Book on Theoropian Militaryhere (http://laststand.unholybeing.com/a_war.php)). --------
News Story

Macavao, after the declaration of its new government, has seen many foreign interventions, one of which a planned invasion which has not happened and shows no signs, as yet, of ever happening. However, many other nations have made their presence felt inside the nation. Additions of troops to the landscape seems to be the preferred method.

However, when "peacekeeping" troops and nations helping to "restore and better" the nation begin to wage war on each other, it is clear a time bomb has gone off. An expert said earlier that "natural bias and national pride, of so many diverse forms in one small area, is a disaster just waiting to happen".

The recent fire on Dragonicale forces by Theoropian armed forces gives backing to this thought. It has been declared "friendly fire", but experts would like to disagree.

President Thomson is expected to make an announcement shortly, although officials say it is possible he wont appear to speak and will instead attempt to sort out this problem in the best way possible.

"That's nothing, anyways it's not going to kill us or anything and anyways, I need to get some sleep" replied Iraku while stretching and yawning.

The population of Dragonicale stared up at the "falling star."
They didn't relalize that it was a bomb/plane until it was too late. The sarin gas easily spread across the city killing hundreds. Luckily the President/Monarch of Dragonicale and his advisor survived because they went deeper inside their palace to rest. 8,948 civillians were instantly killed while thousands were still injured.

It was a dark day for Dragonicale. The sarin gas caused casualties of 49,970 over the nation.

The PeoplesFreedom

Lt. General John Taylor (Famous for easily overrunning the enemy) commenced "Operation Liberation" (It rhymes!)

SECRET TO THE ENEMY
It would send 15,000 (200 Dragon-18 Tanks) troops to flank the enemy and after a while into the battle, 20,000 (300 Dragon-18 Tanks) troops would pop out and crossfire them. Then there would be a huge artillery strike that could obliterate a town from the face of the nation. (Artilleries are still inaccurate, EX: If i fired at the center of a town will them with accuracy, the town will be rubble, but due to the inaccuracy only 1/10 of the town would be destroyed.)

The Blackshirts continued to slog across the nation, pillaging and looting and murdering. But soon, the first enemy attack crashed into their lines. The enemy artillery smashed into the blackshirts positions, causing hundreds of deaths. However, our artillery responded quickly, firing canisters of Mustard gas at the enemy artillery. They would be followed up by HE shells. Dragon tanks came next, but their armor and armament was inferior to the Cougar tanks, and thus many of them were destroyed. The Cougars lost a dozen or so. The infantry came next, smashing into the blackshirts lines. The Blakshirts fell back, but only to trick them into an ambush. Soon, the enemy flew right into the new defensive line, where vicious machine guns, mortars, and rifles slammed into the enemy. They were often caught in open fields were there was little cover. To add to the effect, flamthrowers added to the carnage, burning the fields.

It was a quiet evening, the air was different, full of musk. Much different the Major General's home. This was also quite a different evening for the Admiral. He took sealegs to a whole new level as he was rarely off his command ship. It was really a quiet evening, until there was a rustle in their tent. They both cocked thier heads to the general direction, only to see Colonel Maybourne.

"General, Admiral, we just recieved the lastest intelligence photos from our UAVs. It shows Dragonicalian forces have just engaged with the blackshirts. We also recieved intel that the blackshirts have employed chemical warfare sir, this could be questionable however".

Chemical warfare, that was something he personally frowned upon. It was another minute before the Colonel spoke again

"We also recieved word that the Theoropian fleet posted around the Macaovan waters, they seem to be positioning themselves for a coastal bombardment, our responce?"

"Colonel, get three regiments on the move to Dragonicale. Contact their command officer there to tell them we're coming to relieve the pressure. Issue the G.I.s to equip themselves with the standard MCU50 JSGPM, can never be to safe".

" Well that is very good news!" Mobley beamed.
" Yes sir, however we have also received reports that Sendersdale has deployed more men and is going to attack our fleet."
Mobley pondered this, he wasn't sure how he was going to deal with this latest development.
" Okay, Colonel, heres what I want done. Order an additional 10,000 men, 480 tanks, and 480 artillery to the area. Then hire another fleet of the Peagusus Navy to help us out. Finally, deploy seven Falling Stars to the enemy fleet. Target their aircraft carriers."

The Dragonic soldiers were prepared for the attack and had traps set everywhere. Disguised spike traps or large pits that could trap a tank inside and couldn't be noticeable until it was too late, powerful napalmic land mines were set up and would set explode and set fire to prevent infantry from entering correctly... ThePeoplesFreedom is currently winning some battles, and we will not be suprised if they overrun our positions. While our 10,000 troops are here, ready to assist, if they get hurt, public opinon will surely go down for our democratically elected government, which is not good. We may be forced to withdraw unless the war turns to our favour.

Fearful of the consquences of Macaovan falling, we are sending 100 Military Advisors, sending in via the airport, to be dispersed throughout the country.

These Advisors are not here to fight in the battlefield. They are here to support an insurgency. We will be training Macavocan units and civilians in gurellia warfare, in organzing secret societies, of doing hit-and-run tactics on the enemy, of robbing the enemy, and of leaving Macavo to do terror attacks on TPF. We will turn Macavo into a quamire, waiting until TPF gets tired and leave. That, or we starve TPF's economy dry in the conflict, making him unable to do any more of these 'interventions' ever again.

While we hope that the "Operation Macavocan Resistance Effort" will not have to be activated, we have to confront reality. These Military Advisors may quite possibly take up a leading role in the resistance effort, to help fight against TPF.

If anyone want to help us in training these freedom fighters, please contact us and send in your own military advisors. Alternatively, devote some of your men to actually recuriting and joining the resistance movement.

OCC: How many jet engines propel it? And there's no aircraft called a 'battlecruiser' so I don't know what you are talking about?

OCC: A Boeing 747 is not armored and it's maximum take off weight is 367 tons or so. So It would have to weigh a lot more than that. A 747 empty is 160 tons or so...

(OOC: Can't we declare a mortitrum on conflict until after Macavo posts? If Macavo doesn't post, then TPF can't take over his nation, due to common courstery rules. It seems that this is turning into a training ground where both sides nuke each other, but we're sort-of forgetting the country that we supposed to be ATTACKING/DEFENDING. We might want him to chime in.

If he doesn't, then should the war be retconned and said never to happen?)
