We have just recieved word of the opening of negotiations between our beautiful nation and the most worthy nation of Strator. It appears as though our benevolent leader, Mikhail Haird, is interested in aquiring slaves from this excellent trade partner. Greetings Mr Haird, my name is Gareth Hughes, trade advisor to His Majesty King Owain of Llanoran. His majesty has learned that you are a slave trading nation and this has pleased him. "Levi Samuels."
"What do you do for a living?"
"I work with...with..."
One of the men sitting at the table hit it in frustration. "You work with nothing? I'm sure they'd love that at the airport, just seconds before they slapped you in handcuffs and turned you into a slave. Concentrate, man!"
"I got this dossier yesterday, Major," retorted the other man, visibly angry. "I have had a matter of hours to study it. And we'd get further if I were allowed to piss, or to eat!"
"Agent Donovan," began the Major, as he stood up and moved to the water cooler in the corner of the room. "You are one of our best undercover operatives, nobody denies that. You've been on some nasty missions, you've come out unscathed. But the point of my perfectionism is simple - it's damn good practice."
"Practice? From what I hear, Barudii is on the verge of joining the pro-slavery union and things will probably go to Hell between them and us in a matter of days!" returned Agent Donovan, his voice cool and with an undertone of menace in it. The menace was shrugged off by the Major - he'd been threatened by the best in his many years of service.
"If we can get concrete proof that there is slave trading going on in Barudii, we can strike and it cannot be said that we didn't go through the proper channels. The reason we're going quickly is because the REAL Levi Samuels is already en route to the nation, he's meeting with some low-level member of the Barudii government related to the DMG International Bank; that's all in the file, by the by."
"A banker...why a banker, Major?" asked Agent Donovan, his distaste quite apparent. The Major wheeled around and looked him square in the eye.
"Because you can discuss the economy and you look dull enough for the part."
"Oh."
"Oh indeed. Now again, who are you?"
"Levi Samuels."
"What do you do for a living?"
"I work with the DMG International Bank."
"What is your business here?"
"I have a meeting with Mr. Andrew Putin, regarding some form of military agreement."
The Major smiled for the first time since they'd begun. "Perfect."
To Barudii:
I am happy to open a trade alliance between our countries, I have many prisoners who are on the "To enslave" list, as I have not had much slave trading of late. When it comes time for you to make any orders, I shall provide you with the top of the line slaves.
