As we discussed, I shall be playing FT.

Now, I realise not to many threads could concievably support all techs. But I believe I've hit upon an idea, that with a little help and support from the great storywriters and RP'ers on NS.

The Mirror Universe. I admit I'm not the first to conceptualise a Universe just as powerful as ours, with all the same people, but having taken a diffrent path, where everyone, and everything is Diametricly opposed to the way it is here.

An Easy, well known example would be from Star Trek, Starfleet here, Terran Empire there. Well, other examples would be, say, the Empire from Starwars. Evil here, good there. Vadar and Palpatine, the good guys?

You know your own nation better than anyone else. If things were completly reversed, what would they be like?

Now, my Idea is as follows.

The Mirror Universe knows about us. They've known about us long before we knew or even thought about them. They have their warlike races, their violence, just the same as we do. They have peaceful nations They have lives. Usually, its its own self-contained universe. There ARE those who like to study us. Who like to take things from us, and interact with us. There are incidents, of people crossing over, for one reason or another, sometimes, entirelly by accident.

Amidst all their goings ons and Drama, one name rises to the front. The Lady of Fire, ruler of the Dark Ri-anese Empire. A dark Spirit, she desires only one thing, something many people give her. Violence, Bloodshed, Dominion. She desires Dominion over all.

Over the next few years, a new alliance springs up, The Alliance of The Mirror. A large Alliance full of nations training to cross over into our Universe.

Here's where the story kicks in.

They Cross over. There are Multiple staging points, thus all techs can participate.

For FT: The Constantine Neutral Zone Collapses in a tragic accident, the survivors come back to find a strange Wormhole, and from it comes a Warfleet, bearing their own flags, but, things seem diffrent, Wrong. The Mirror Alliance has come to conquer Space.

For MT, and all of the Earths.

For many Centuries, The Oceans have held mystery. Now Warfleets from your own allies, and even your own ships appear, ready to wage war and wipe you off the Planet. They seem the same, but there's subtile diffrences that just make the whole thing feel, wrong. The Mirror Alliance has invaded your waters.

Nations with Fantasy and other techs usually either mainly Play MT, or FT. or PMT/NFT.

For PMT/NFT, pick the scenario that fits best with you.

Now, this doesn't mean every player will dogpile another.

Indeed, depending on how many sign up, and what techs, decides how this Story goes. If alot of people sign up from diffrent techs, more than likely, we'll need a whole buncha threads. If only a few people sign up from a single tech, then only one, possibly two.

Just two things to remember, The Lady of Fire is the only thing keeping everyone cooperating, out of fear. No one says no to the Lady of fire and lives to tell the tale, or so they say. Also, on the orginal earth, before Earth II and all them, Part of the Invasion seems to be coming from The Flying continent.

Regardless of Tech, I'll be in all the threads, somehow.

Alright, I'm in, on the FT bent. I need to flex New Oxford again, and try out Archmage.

The Emerald Cult will likely just be scheming and plotting, succeeding in causing events which have no real practical effect.

I'm just glad for a chance to describe Archmage's use of technology best comparable to Cthulhu in complexity.

Its just not one I've seen very much of. If your referring to magic, I call that Fantasy Tech, which may be the source of my confusion.

I will play as usual the Twelve Colonies of Kobal, but instead of being the new race in space, I will be acting like the cylons, a genocidal race, out to destroy those who wronged us in the past, and all of those like those who wronged us. The only problem is my race is quite morally neutral, I guess Admiral Cain will be a saint while adama will be a non forgiving torture advocate... :)

Yes I am playing FT, lowtech FT but Ft none the less :) It will be very interesting to see how all of this turns out. Are we going to invade our own territories in this thread with our Mirror selves, or how will this thread work?

I'll leave that up to each person. If you want it too, then great, if not, well, then that's great too.

Personally, this is apart of my final storyline, so of course its going to effect my nation.

Meanwhile, you say you want fantasy out of your nation, so, go with it, but then afterwards store it all away somewhere to keep for fond memories.

If you don't want it to effect your nation, then it won't matter. You can play as though your in top condition for an invasion of yourself, with all your fleets availible. for you, this is just a fun what-if.

When the IC action starts, your first post should be back story for your Mirror Nation. I'll be doing mine of course, in the thread I'll be using to attack my own nation.

See, It'll be starting out with everyone's ships and technology they'll be using coming through the Gateways. If you decide Ft, then you'll need space ships. If you decide Mt, then even old school wooden sailing ships will suffice.

I am going to play my reversal a bit differently. The Cylons created Man, the cylons will be the good guys, and Man will be the ones on the outside desiring and attempting to wipe out the cylon race. The twelve Colonies will be one colony for every model.

TO keep with this theme my forces will be cylon basestars and raiders, while the bad guys will have the battlestars.

In a sense it will be a reversal of national history, yet it will also maintain the same themes. Is this workable?

If anyone would like their mirror counterpart to have enslaved this race or possibly turned them into a food source, I wouldn't mind.

I forgot the have, the fortresses are already built. But for a slave, there's always work to be done.

i was thinking of my 2 meter tall clone troops that have human, werewolf and vampire DNA used to make them

as for vampires and werewolves, i no longer have vampires and only have two werewolves left

and for stable servers this is the only place i came across whos servers play up

You know those posts you enjoy reading? Imagine a book full of that same posty goodness. Wouldn't that be awesome? I think so, that's why I'm going to leave to start writing fiction, Based on the same Characters and ideas I use here.

Right, so Storyline.

I was thinking maybe, we each do our own, like we wanted, BUT, we also forfit three of our own ships per other player.

Not for everyone. A single FT ship in an MT setting has a gross advantage.

Rather, keeping it seperate between storylines.

I'm saying, we all help each other with our storylines, sacrificing a few ships per person in our same setting. This holds up the Mirror Alliance image instead of just making it a mass attack from The Mirror.

Mass attacks are ok, but it just doesn't make sense that a bunch of nations would just cross over at the same time and not be in an alliance.

As I only have a few Mobile Death Fortresses, The attack of Ri-an is going to be completly allianced, Depending on everyone playing both settings to help, since there's going to be a few in each FT nation.

Don't worry about how Mt players are going to cross billions of lightyears in ships and things that can't even go one. I'm fond of breaking scientific laws with less than scientific explanations.

Also, in MT, I've got to visit each attack, and command it partially, along with the FT attacks.

Mainly, that's all I'm doing, partially commanding, leaving the main command of the attack on each nation, up to that nation, thus, everyone gets their storyline, and I get mine!

I'm saving the attack on Ri-an for last.

Now that I've got all that out, any ideas?

I am willing to either be the aggressor or defender for my nation. It really is up to you, which you prefer from the storytelling point of view. Also I rarely use fleets of more than 7 battlestars or basestars as the case will be here. I do not like huge invasions, as it can take away the dialogue between characters and puts a lot of emphissis on action.

The aggressor from the mirror world will be a cylon fleet that created man, and is trying to survive the evil colonial on slaught.

The defenders will be the Colonial forces, who have been trying to survive against the cylon aggressors.

Both will bear the Colonial symbol, and have the same transponders except for the obvious differences between the Basestar designs and the battlestars.

With the exception of Technology I have gathered during trades, my technology is roughly that of the tv show. So your ten ships could do heavy damage to my entire navy. So the cylons being the reverse would have star wars type shields and holo cloak capabilites, as well as the nice little cylon virus database.

I plan on running a copy of Balrogga as my opposing self. These actions will not affect my nation in any way and will be considered non-cannon.

During the invasion, aggorlaB will not directly attack Balrogga. We can't. Our forces would neutralize themselves and end in stalemate. We will instead support the other invaders for promises of them taking out Balrogga for us. It will be a bloody fight and I will use my abilities of both nations to the fullest. It will be truely magnificient to behold.

That is simple and explained in the White Tower Thread where I already started the invasion months ago. The Others don't view us as another timeline because we are not another timeline. We are the other reflection of them. The other side of the same coin. They view us as parodys of themselves and that is the reason why They need to eliminate us. It is built in as part of nature.

I believe it is called Antipathy.

The idea was first proposed by Siesatia about a year or so ago when he tried to get an Alternates War going, but disinterest caused the sign up thread to die. I used the concept he proposed along with some ideas I read about elsewhere to create a story line for the White Tower. Ri-an liked it so much he borrowed the idea and used it as part of his planned departure from Nation States.

That was the opposite-my society as it is right now utilizes some tech but in limited amounts, and has high quantities of organic material on hand, as well as relying primarily on warm bodies to do the work of the Dominion.

Brief Synopsis of reverse Nova Bazalonia.

pretty much similiar start,except both the Humans and Saurons were War-like. Instead of an integrated society the Humans and the Saurons in the alternate NB have been Warring with each other. And NB has been revealed for a much longer time.

There will be both Sauron and Humans fighting along side each other but expect the hatred to spill over. They see the non-Mirror Novaens as pathetic weaklings and they find the idea of a utopian-type peaceful co-existance as well, anathema. Something that they hate even more that each other.

Oh, and these guys are dimensionally stable but otherwise, things which are yet to be revealed about the non-Mirror NB will still apply to the new ones.

Right, Finally gathered my thoughts.

My nation is technically MT, but while yours are all FT. Allow me to explain, my nation is located on a small world in the backwaters of the universe. Very far off, no real quantity of useful resource, so it's pretty much left alone.

Instead of trying to attack my people my mirror-nation secretly "takes over" Hetwan. At least the senate and some parts of the government. Using the vast desert of west Hetwan, the Mirror-Hets (As I like to call them) will start testing biological weapons and such to give to the other, stronger Mirror-nations.
Once again, my mirror nation not only has some forms of FT weaponry, they have 2 specious of alien, something the current Hetwan does not. They are the Grays, the Hetwan (A form of alien), and humans.
Human groups working with the Mirrors are The Blind and the Black Ops (Somewhat anyway). The regular Hetwan (my nation) are aided by an old deformed gray by the name of Edgar, and slightly aided by Edgar’s virus (A genetic disease that will be explained more in the story).

Ka Anor is a god for the Hetwan of Mirror-Het, while in Hetwan (N) it started as a religion with the same god but eventually came as a term to address a king-like figure (ours anyway). The Ka_Anor (the eighth one) currently rules jointly with the senate of Hetwan, who is corrupted by the Blind.
