The Phoenix Milita is holding a contest to find the best original piece of military technology in existence.
To enter, fully describe your vehicle, aircraft, or weapon in as few words as possible with the smallest image you have or can make. The winner will be decided based upon the how unique your design is and how well you can describe it in a short number of lines, and how well the essence of the design can be ascertained from the smallest images. The judges will determine which entry has the most originality, the best value for the price and the most desirable tactical advantages that the weapons system offers over other designs.

Contest will end April 2nd.

Some restrictions may apply
No real-life equipment that has only been slightly modified will be allowed to enter
Do not enter a piece of equipment you did not design yourself
No super-dreadnaughts will be considered.
Modern +1 Tech max
2 entries per nation max
Images are not required but preferred
Use of image of real life equipment possible only if design is sufficiently different from said rl design
Design may exist prior to contest or be made specifically for the contest

Well, anyway, a few questions:
1) Who will be the judges?
2) So is this about originality or about quality?

Originality AND Quality BUT Originality OVER Quality.

I think once I get entries I will put a public poll for the public who will be the judges and anyone who entered can't vote.

Hmm, well, then I'm probably out of competition - my designs are all about quality. Their originality is in small details, which, combined, form a breakthrough giving a classic weapon type new abilities, but not in inventing a new role.

Image is not required but preferred... I would suggest trying paint for at least a basic idea but you don't have to.

My design on the Univeral Dian Personal Computer.

It is a device that is usable to be linked to a variety of smart weapon systems, intelligent mounts, it is usable as a smart card, as a security device, as a short range laser designator or lightsource. It stores personal data for personality use files for equipment and environmental controls. It keeps track of the time, special events. It has an in built mic, and fiber optic camera. It is expandable and part replacable. It is given to students, and soilders alike. Better yet it is affordable, and usable for a variety of roles. It is also a communications device, able to be connected to a usb solar pad, and is hardened for daily use with no moving parts. The device is also domestically usable for gps operations and even shoping, or watching streamed television or listening to the radio. It also acts as a cellular phone. These all at GHZ and GB sized technologies, capable of wireless cluster operations. WIth a number of periphreals, these devices are indepspensible, not only for monitoring, but also remote control of new technologies such as remote warfighting drones. (or even wireless detonation of explosives... or other remote control weapons.

All the size of a pack of cigarettes.

These arn't soley military but it is THE #1 purchased peice of equipment except for boots and other clothes by Dian E.S.

Exact spects to follow (I have them elsewhere, but I'm geussing I'll loose out to a ship so I might as well get the ball rolling.

Note the cases are hardproof.. and are bullet resistant, the actual devices are environmentally sealed for all terrain operations (with sepcific limits 40-60' regular opearting temperatures, there are still extreme cold/exterme hot, but insulated coverings are available for those 'totally non Dian, operating condinitions.

p.s. if the battery dies you can always use it as an improvised ballistic instrament, light weight but aerodynamic, Cadets spend a whole class training in improvised jujituiesque tribal form procedures, that include jujitsuesque tribal form manavorers with hard shelled Dian PC's, theyse machines not only can take a beating ,but give one too.

If you are wondering how this device differs from most modern smartphones, is it's simple clustering capacity and specific designs via 'core interface' components, that allow AI/CI systems to better function on the system. It is interfacable with Promethius an interactive virtual cyberspace envirironment. The laser designator is something you don't often see, and the three section battery (able to replace batteries while still operating is another. The environmental milspec opeartions capacity takes it a step further. The ability to read the EM spectrum for radio waves or acts as an infared device is another awsome part of it. The software that is available for the device allows it to act as a remote or as an intelligent controller when synced to smart sensors and weapons systems.

It's expandability reusability and portability (upgradability peice by peice component by component is another thing you don't often find. The advanced secure smart card system which is hardwire configurable as well as after the configuration remote controlable with complex to break time based phased encryptian keys, are aspects that most systems havn't taken the time to implement.

The device may appear as a simple PDA,but in reality it is an advanced warfighting, and intersquad communication device (re phased encryptian, of an extended memory capacity)

Some specially modified models also have the old single bullet peashooter (that is one firing nozel (for tracking devices or even small 22 sized bullets. (not standard design) (there are a variety of other 'special' models, including self inclusive explosive packs. For intance instead of a CF card or battery 2 and three they have 3 two inch explosive packs. <-- that explosive pack design IS cross configurable. That is those packs can be used in the standard model. While you may think what is a two inch rectangle by one inch thick explosive going to do. With advances in explosives technology, actually they can do quite a bit. When inluded with a chemical element the effects can be lethal wide area effects.

Also small dispensers of chemical or bio gases, have also been designed for the CF as well as the SD slots (of which there are two), which can be very lethal and transportable weapons.

I present the Auron Military Industry MFSA1 (Multi-Function Scope). This is the ultimate scope, it has built in night vision, thermal imaging, laser range finder. It features a standard Mil-Dot reticle and red or green illuminated crosshairs. It has 10-25x magnification with a 50mm objective lenses with a high tech emerald coating that collects the maximum amout of light. This scope can be mounted to any rail with the correct rings.
