OOC: looking for a country willing to let the 5 Point Mafia live there, for now at least. The GW series started closed the series, and I doubt Blackhelm Confederacy wants these people since that would add legitimacy to Paul's false claim that 'the 5 pointers' shot Griffencrest...
IC: (Changes from Grant's perspective to the Landowner, back to Grant)
'Grant' sat in an old apartment building, typing away on an old dusty desktop computer, the 5 Point Mafia 'front office' was little more than a run down and unused college fraternity house, the new residents managed to get a reduced rate aftyer promising to help fix it up, in return, the landlord didn't ask too many questions, $150 a month was $150 a month, what did he care that the people were stacked inside like cordwood.
It just meant more bodies to help fix up the place for the next school year.
Come to think of it, they did a pretty nice job fixing it up, maybe he'd just ask them to move to another of his delapidated homes and fix that one up afterwards? Then move some college kids into the old building for $500 a month, let the kids trash it, and rotate, rather than running both at the current price of $200 a month...
After about a week, a minivan pulled up, and people came out with large boxes, and hurried them into the building, which was simple enough, they were still getting settled in...
Grant had his men look over the supplies, and catalouged them in detail, almost everything was in order, except the fully rigged up minivan, but that wouldn't matter much for now.
Grant finished his job search, and 'sold' a few of his men out as guns for hire, corprate spies, and found out where the other gangs roamed. He smiled, they were on completely unclaimed land and were almost completely free to expand. Now they needed cash to set up safehousdes and a 'front'.
He searched for old run-down bars going out of business in their district, and a place called "Basco's Bar and Grill" was on its last legs, a bit of pressure would cave in and sell to a lower price to them. Then it would be only the formalities of obtaining the proper licences to run an appropriate business front.
Till then, he decided to give his friends overseas another call, in order to recieve more supplies and possably, a lucrative offer for a business deal.

Yep, they're flat out MT tech, though fighting the occasional all pervasive police could get interesting...
Though I do plan on getting the mafia to move along, eventual buying their own country or something.
But that'll be awhile.

Expanded mafia from 50 persons to 150 through recruitment and a rather good fiscal year.

Bump, further expansion from 150 to 1,500 due to lack of crime prevention by CA, ADAN, and former GASN occupation forces.

This is sort of an OOC refferance thread with a few splotches of IC narration of events.
OOC: Is that Khorate Tribes? I remember something happened where HT betrayed us.:(
Yes, that is a map of The Khornate Tribes, or rather, what is left of it.
No, that was on the shores of TWSP (which came later), Khornate tribes was where the Undershi started nuking civillians indiscriminately. It wasn't a good day for Hurtian/CA relations.

Sure, this uses the now-defunked stat block from the old Gang-war RP this was originally intended to tie into. (Hence the title. But that RP died, and I was meaning to start an opposition-faction to my established government)
I've also got one roughly done for HOI.
Could also consult Leafanistan and Blackhelm Confederacy on how such nations should work.
Though I also saw a nation that was only a village, which got me thinking about starting an RP that revolves entirely around the FPM rather than keeping them in the background noise.

Thanks maybe my organization could run across your group. I mean they seem to be involved in some of the same activities like assassinations, kidnapping, Drug trafficking, Union Racketeering and Extortion with prostitution, and a little illegal Gambling....

[OOC: It could I guess, though I don't know if/when I am going to continue that.
However, I was thinking more along the lines of shacking up with the Sanctum Mafia on their isles. Just a momentary idea though. Plus, it would be a bit different than being a usual mafia in some city.]

Well, I've been considering the idea of my mafia trying to take Khornate over from joint CA/HOI/Crookfur occupation.
Wait... you have a mafia?
Wait... you have a mafia?
[OOC: Indeed I do. It's called the Sanctum Mafia - it's a large (like several million), Roman-Catholic organization that lives on their own series of islands outside of the Dominion mainland. There is a link to its factbook in the link in my sig called "Book of Links."]

...
Just an OOC interest/continuity check.
Awhile back, I created an faction of my nation, the Five Points Mafia (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=520760).
For awhile, I've considered them located within the ruined lands of The [Former] Khornate tribes (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=494171).
For some time, they've been expanding without much purpose. (or at least without explanation of their purpose)
So I'm playing with the thought of them declaring their former refugee camp a soveign nation.
Now, the reason why I'm posting this here are twofold:
1. I'm too lazy to start a new thread
2. Most of the nations involved are CA or watch the CA thread like a hawk
(Undershi; Blackhelm Confederacy; Maldorians; Wanderjar; Crookfur; Leafanistan; and myself)
I was also considering, what with the GASN being disbanded and broken up into smaller factions, that the CA would seek renewed interest in the oil-rich irradiated wastelands.
Plus, ADAN may se it as a way to flex their muscles a bit.
And yes, the place is an island.
As for The Khornate Tribes, he gave me his e-mail during that last RP, but then went inactive - should I e-mail him? He already ignored an e-mail asking whether he wanted to continue, so I don't have much hope that I'll be able to get him back.
Oh, also - Undershi has some territory there, but we don't really want any. If any established CA member wants it, I'll let them have it.
Well, I guess that the Five Points Mafia can have it, since they offered more for it. Sorry Blackhelm!
Yeah... so... does that mean they now control the whole Island, or just a really big part of it?
heh, the trouble with minefields is...
Oh, and they've been hired, and found a new batch of arms suppliers.
(Some wish to remain secret others couldn't care less, but to be fair, I won't post them here)

So it'll be an R&R safehouse, infirmery (if we ever get any wounded), and alternate command center then?

Considering that the SHAW is a 20x76 mm light GMG...
(and comprises of almost 1% of the ground weapons ei as common as the M60 in vietnam war)
It makes irself known when used against massed infantry asaults in the open at close range...
And the AG-36 is, effectively, a light 40 mm mortar...
