The Greek's Spawn meet the Roman Traitor (ATTN Siap)

Posieden's Heir was a mysterious man. Few had ever met him. His clear blue eyes reminded people of both the calm lakes and the violent seas. He was the man who led the Children of Posieden.

A knock on the his door awoke him from his slumber. "Enter!" he yelled.

A small old man walked into the room, "Sir, A message from Cassius has just arrived."

"Bring it here the Heir comanded. The old man silently followed his orders and brought the small peice of paper. The Heir looked it over and replied, "Send a message back telling Cassius that it would be my pleasure to meet with him or any of his representitives."

"Yes sir!" the old man said.

Cassius sat down. It was a good thing that he did too. Within a few minutes the room began to shake. Infact the whole structure he was in shook. The submarine was going to periscope depth to send out the message.

OOC: I'm gonna be off, possibly for the rest of the night...

OOC: Generally, Cassius does not do these meetings face to face. In fact, Poseiden's heir is about to become the only man outside his organization who has ever seen Cassius. I suppose its fitting.

IC: "I generally don't do these meetings in person." He spoke with a voice that indicated that he was calm, though it suggested that he was quite paranoid. "I realize my surname can be a mouthful to say, so you can call me Luke. Do you have a name you would prefer me to call you by?"

He was average height and had slightly long brown hair and tan skin, though he was extraordinarily thin. He wore a fashionable but not extravagant suit, with a single chain going down his neck, revealing a medallion with two hands crossed over it in a handshake and two knives crossed behind it.

"If you'll forgive my curtness, I would like to get down to business. My sources tell me that you wish to get into the salvage business. My organization can provide you with many things, from firepower to limited political protection. What do you feel is your most pressing need?"

OOC: Holy crap. I love the title.

OOC: Sorry for lettin this Die... Anyway back to business...

IC:

The Heir looked over this man, "Luke you said? You can call me Brenden. If you'll follow inside we can get down to business."

Brenden led Cassius down the spiral stairs that had been made specifically for this submarine. He took him passed almost a score of men armed with XM8s, gifts from the Hillian Government. "You need not worry about them," He told Cassius, they are just a product of my own paranoia."

He continued down the main hall and led Luke into the confrence room at the end of it. "Have a seat," he said as he gestured to the other side of the table from where he sat down.

The man referring to himself as 'Luke' sat down at the table. "Your hardware stock is quite impressive. I imagine that firearms are not your most pressing concern."

The Heir chuckled, "Heh, no, you assume correct. What we need are two things. The first is a way to block radio transmissions. The second is a way to temporarily disable a single ship, preferably not all the ships in an area."

Luke leaned back and rubbed the stubble on his chin. "Temporarily disabling a ship...hmm....." He thought. "For blocking radio transmissions, you have two options. Simplest way of doing it is to amplify radio broadcasters and flood the entire spectrum with noise, but that will not exactly camoflage your position. If you are willing to make a heavier investment, I bet we could make something a little more sophisticated. Do you think you have anything that you could mount a laser in equal power to the radio transmitters used on ships?"

Brenden thought for a moment, "Hmmm... I assume that either the Aristotle or Socrates could do that. They are both cargo ships that we use to lure in our targets. As of now they are both at see but I'm almost positive they would be able to do it. How much are we looking at in this investment?"

"It really depends on how much you are able to supply for yourself. The devil is not in the laser itself but in a corollary of the fourier principle which states that the certainty of frequency of emitted radiation is proportional to the duration of the emission. The devil is not in the laser itself, but in the timing circuit. I highly doubt that you've heard of them, but a group of engineers and scientists in Siap known as the "Majestic Ten" invented a process to mass produce microprocessors that utilize quantum mechanics. It so happens that I was actually able to obtain several of these microprocessors. Since they are heavily classified military technology, I am not willing to part with one for less than a million. Obtaining a laser could be even more expensive, however I am willing to discuss alternate means of payments."

"Hmmm. We will be able to come up with the one million. We want to know how much it would cost if you were to able to supply the whole package, laser, microprocessor, and all. Also, what other means of payment would you be interested in?"

"All we need is three months and $5 million. After that I will be able to mass produce a system that will allow you to generate a broad spectrum of harmonic interference. The way I am envisioning this system working is that as soon as a transmission is detected, the laser will fire a prolonged series of sub-femtosecond bursts of radiation. This will not generate a large region where radio is inoperable, but rather a small precise target where all transmissions, from radio to radar, will either be garbled beyond recognition if not completely blocked out. The secondary benefit is that all radar readouts would be equivalent to wrapping the radar dome in tin foil, and all communications channels would be constantly receiving white noise."

Luke sat back. "As for alternate payments, well, there are several things I am in need of. First of all is a safe location where my organization can perform some of its more sensitive research and construction. Another is, if you by any chance obtain a nuclear powered ship and lose use of it, we will gladly assist in salvaging it. Hell, if you know of a reactor that no one has a need for, we would definitely be interested."

"Hmmm... We should be able to stratch together the money. As for the safe location this whole island is fairly safe so long as you don't anger the Hills. My old residence up on mount Veleera could easily be renovated to fit your needs. It is empty as of now. If you do wish to use it than the Children would also be more than happy to lend you a hand with security.

"Thank you for the offer. It would probably be easiest if we conducted final assembly on the island. Anyways, I look forward to working with you further in the future."

"As do I," Brenden stated as he stood up. He snapped his fingers and the old aide walked in carrying a brief case that seemed to weigh almost as much as him. "There's roughly two and half million in there. The rest of the money still needs to be brought together. Have a good Day," With that he extended his hand to Cassius.

OOC: I take it the three months will be judged in NS time upon the ending of this thread?

"We will bring the components for final assembly once I have received the rest of the money." Cassius said, shaking the outstretched hand while lifting the case with what seemed to be an unnatural ease.

OOC: Yes, where 1 day = 1 year.

"Of course. As we speak the rest of the money is being gathered. If you would like we do have some deposits of gold that we could use to pay you, however, do to how we aquired it we would not be able to take it to the mainland to exchange it for money."

"I can take gold. And I'll knock off 5% if you mold it into the shape of car parts and paint it accordingly."

"Hmmm... That should be possible, depending on the car parts, as well as make and model," The Heir said as he walked over to the aid.

To the aid he whispered, "Have some engineers start taking apart some of the cars in our garage and making casts."

The aid hurried out of the room.

"We don't need any specific makes and models. Just any sorts of car parts should do. The parts will be picked up on a ship on behalf of Blake's Point Auto Salvage."
