Eshara Island Background;

Eshara Island is a small domain of nearly 22 islands with seven of them being heavily inhabited by indigenous peoples and caucasian folk and with another four smaller islands with lightly inhabited villages. Forming itself into an independent isle system about three years ago they created themselves on a market economy and a heavily influenced consumerist ideology where the elites of the isles bought lavish houses and equipment they may not need while allowing poorer, more indigenous Eshara Island residents to live in abject poverty. With the formation of the nation three years ago, Presidential elections were held but most indigenous people could not vote because polling stations were held only on six of the largely inhabited islands and if one was illiterate they were not allowed to vote, meaning 18% of indigenous folks could not vote and 20% could not vote as well because they were under the age of 21. The resulting election resulted in a majority share of seats for two pro-caucasian parties and only 6 seats in a 100 assembly for the largest indigenous party. In Presidential elections, it was won by Derrain McGraghery, 30, who brought on this pro-caucasian and capitalist, consumerist ideology to the isles. Damalarin City, Eshara Island:

Two soldiers in military fatigues stood by their military jeep when several armed soldiers approached them. They smiled at the five soldiers that nodded and passed. Returning to smoking cigars, the two soldiers were caught offguard when machine-gun muzles were placed to the back of their heads and they had their weapons confiscated and were detained.

Elsewhere in the city gunfire broke out at the main armoury as a caucasian officer and several soldiers exchanged gunfire with rebellious troops between the weapon cache area and the ground floor where tanks and armoured vehicles were kept. A coup-member fell with a bullet to the shoulder and one of the defending soldiers fell down a flight of stairs to the ground floor of the armoury with several wounds. Bullets pinged off walls as the officer was shot in the knee and collapsed as several defending soldiers were quickly killed or wounded in the defense of the armoury.

At the Presidential Palace, Antown McDeiss, 47, General opened the door to the President's room and yelled;

"Get dressed sir. There are rebels outside that are trying to come to capture or kill you. Get your family and head downstairs quickly."

Grabbing his shirt and pants, Derrein stood and woke his wife who grabbed their infant son. Ripping open the door, Derrein could hear gunfire nearby and heading to the stairs he could see General McDeiss and nearly eight troopers armed with machine guns. Grabbing the bannister and heading down the stiars nearly 10 meters in front of his wife and son, once he got to the landing, General McDeiss pulled a psitol and shot Derrein once in the leg where he collapsed to the ground. Wife screaming Derrein grabbed his bleeding leg as General McDeiss fired thre bullets at the President's wife and she rolled lifeless down the stairs to rest next to Derrein. His young infant son began to cry and was picked up gently by General McDeiss.

"Derrein McGraghery you have been sentenced to death for the crimes that you and your fascist regime committed on the people of Eshara Island and the isles for your all demanding methods to get the 'Almighty' dollar before anything else. Once you are dead, I General Antown McDeiss will take over and lead the nation on a more ideal path."

Derrein looked at the groun as three bullets were shot into his brain and he slumped next to his now deceased wife.

Eshara Island News:

Today in an early morning operation the National Army under General McDeiss led an operation against the government of Derrein McGraghery and took power from the McGraghery regime with the President and First Lady being killed along with an additional 9 other Eshara Island citizens before calm could be brought to the streets of Eshara Island capital. There has been no international reaction at this time and since Eshara island is a small tropical nation none is expected. All hail the just rule of General McDeiss.

The People's Republic of Dressalia would like to voice its concern over the recent coup d'etat in the Eshara Islands. We do not believe that they produce stable or democratically-minded governments, and that they tend to lead to a reduction in civil and political liberties.
Therefore, Dressalia calls upon General McDeiss in his role as the chief of the military to reassure the international community that democracy will be restored with all possible haste. We encourage them to move swiftly towards free and open elections, and offer our support in establishing the logistics necessary for such a move.

Ebarak, Eshara Island:

A young caucasian man in his early twenties and his young indigenous sweetheart walked down the side street of this small peaceful village of 300 people that was just four miles outside the capital of Damalarin City and they did not know about a nation wide curfew that had been put into place as well as the coup that had killed 11 people in the capital. As they turned onto the main street they heard a soldier that was several hundred feet in front of him turn and have their eyesw widden. He shouted "Freeze" and then opened fire on them.

Several other soldiers opened fire as well that ricohched off of the ground as well as blasted out a window in the living room of a small house that was behind the young woman and man striking an elderly woman in the hip and wounding her. The young woman was then badly injuried as she had a bullet graze her arm and another bullet tearing into her ankle. Her boyfriend was shot twice in the chest and slumped to the ground and died several seconds later slumped next to her as the soldiers jumped into their parked military vehicle and fired into nearby villages as they fled to the capital as quickly as possibly. Three other civilians were wounded by stray bullets fired by the troops.

Elsewhere on Aniltolia island a small inhabited island a pro-McGraghery outpost was attacked by pro-McDeiss troops before a village elder got a cease-fire to hold. The elder then went into the outpost to get the troops to surrender. However, circumstances were not known at the time and an incident occured which resulted in the storming of the outpost by the McDeiss troops killing four pro-McGraghery troops and the village elder.

As the first day of the coup d' etate came to a close, 17 people had been killed in violence.

Ebarak village, Eshara Island:

A young caucasian man walked down a side street in the small village of Ebarak nearly four miles away from the capital of Damalarin City with his indigenous sweetheart holding his hand. Not knowing about the coup that had occured in Damarlarin earlier on that day or about the military curfew that General McDeiss had unleashed on the twenty-two islands of Eshara island they turned onto the main street of Ebarak village and noticed a soldier (coup member) several hundred feet in front. He turned around and noticed them and shouted "Freeze". They began to move thinking someone was behind them and he opened fire.

Several other soldiers nearby opened fire as well which resulted in bullets pinging off the road and smashing a window in a small house behind the young couple striking and elderly woman in the hip. The young woman was wounded badly as her left hand was grazed by a bullet and her left ankle was shot by an additional bullet. The young man was shot several times in the chest and he slumped near his sweetheart where he passed away quickly from hitting the ground. The soldiers piled into a military jeep and sped away to the capital and fired wildly at nearby houses as they left the village wounding two more villagers.

Antolia Island:

On Antolia island, a pro-McGraghery military outpost was raided by McDeiss supporters that resulted in a massive gunbattle until a village elder got a cease-fire in place. The elder then went into the outpost where he tried to negotiate a pr-McGraghery supporters. However, an incident occured and the outpost was stormed killing four McGraghery soldiers and the village elder.

In one day since the coup had occured 17 people had been killed in violence and the country was in a military lockdown.

So that is your game. Pretend to care for the people of Eshara Island but in reality you are just looking to occupy these islands to ensure that the status quo remains in place on our islands and that 75% of the people are discriminated by the minority. We are gaining control of the islands and if a Centrendom plane or ship enters into Eshara Island territory it will be labelled as agressive and possibly attacked if it does aggressive military actions

On the streets of the capital of Eshara Island street vendors had opened their carts to prospective Pro-McDeiss forces and civilians that were in need of sweet fruit and vegetables that were grown only on the isles. A burned out car was sitting near three soldiers that were sipping at the sweet fruit juices and holding onto their Ak-47s.

Young children ran around on the street and tossed spent cartriges at each other and fell down either playing war or enacting the violence that had occured the day before in the capital and elsewhere.

Moseby Island:

On a small uninhabited island there was a small group of people who had just arrived. They were about a dozen soldiers and nearly eight civilians who were opposed to the government of McDeiss. They were setting up their base-camp here as they prepared for the next action. A foreign government had sent them a message saying they would support them in a violent insurgency, but in actuality these 20 or so people just wanted to leave. They were tired and wanted political asylum in another nation.

To Centrendom;

Thank you for your support. However, as Pro-McGraghery forces are weak at this point in time, we ask that we be accepted into your nation as political aslyum seekers that will return to our nation once the McDeiss government falls on its own accord as it like most military-installed government will. The Honako Independence Commission supports Centredom in its views on the issue, but also hopes that this can be solved without a need for war. We will be watching events unfold in this country closely, and Honako will not tolerate anymore military massacres.

Though, to be positive, we are pleased with your style and government plans and are especially happy you are looking to provide a good education. We would like to therefore as Vetaka did to send a small delegation to observe your country and help it after the coup. It would comprise of 5 diplomats who would come via plane. We will also have a small security force of 8 men as things are still unstable in your country. The nation of Eshara Island would accept happily the two teams that the nation of Sendersdale and Honako as well. We will support the three delegations when they arrive in the nation to assist the nation of Eshara Island in rebuilding after this coup.

The nation of Centrendom is allowed to prepare two helicopters to arrive on the isle of Moseby to take off the Pro-McGraghery forces that are stationed on the isle as no Eshara Island forces are there.

General McDeiss announced on Eshara Island national television a military junta led government that would schedule elections within two years or less depending on the state of affairs in Eshara Island. The junta looked like;

Damalarin City, Eshara Island:

It had been four days since the coup had occured in the capital of Damalarin City and the pro-McDeiss forces were in control of all of the islands except for Moseby island that now had 33 refugees or Pro-McGraghery forces stationed on it.

In Damalarin City in Center square several soldiers were startled as noise like pots and pans began to rattle. Then they saw it, about six hundred people walking down the main avenue waving Eshara Island flags and posterboards. Radioing it in, in about fifteen minutes the square was filled with about 60 troopers and nearly 600 opposition demonstrators that chanted

"Power to the people"

No to military rule"

"Public Inquiry in to the death of Presidente McGraghery"

About three hours later the protest was dispersed without any violence breaking out.

To General McDeiss,

Two helicopters, a blackhawk and a chinook, shall arrive at he designated island within 24 hrs time to pick up the political refugees. I expect no problems to occur what-so-ever. We congratulate you on not using force to disband the peaceful protestors. If this operation goes smoothly, the communication between my country and your command shall be over, unless there are other political refugees that we can take in. May all go well.

We shall be landing two helicopters to pick your group up within 24 hrs. time. Please have everyone ready to go. Luggage needs to be kept to a minimum. You will be transported to a WASP class ship and subsequently brought to Centrendom. There, charities are already aligned to aid you in your new life.

Meanwhile, two helicopter crews were preparing for their mission.

"This is supposed to be quick, in and out" growled Lt. Voss, "But you never know in a country this unstable. We are going in with liva ammo. Be ready for anything. We will have men ready here if anything goes wrong."

The SAS nodded in understandment. Out on the flight deck, the rotors of the two metal birds began whirring violently, chopping the view of the full harvest moon over the eastern sky. As the pilots finished their inspections, a little over a dozen men walked out, shadowed by greasy, earth-toned paint. They loaded into their positions and Voss did a final comm check.

"This is Bull to Invis, you check?"

"Check"

"Bull to comm tower, do you check?"

"We hear you loud and clear, Godspeed"

As the small carrier cruised in the open ocean, two dots seperated from the dot on the rader.

OOC: I am not able to post until on Wednesday evening as i am doing a border security guard test.

As the treeline loomed ahead, lt. Voss did final checks with the rescue team.

"Remember, blackhawk is going in first. He does a sweep around the LZ. With him 100 ft up, the chinook lands. After loading in all the refugees, it takes off. The Blackhawk follows. If there are ANY problems, ask before you shoot. Our team comes before these civilians, so cover your nieghbors ass."

After clicks of approval over the mics, Voss knew the team was ready. It had been awhile since any real action, and many of the men had itchy trigger fingers. He fust hoped that everything would go well.

"30 SECONDS" came the call. Everyone got to their positions. Gunners making small circles with their barrels, extract team ready to drop the ramp.

"God speed boys"
