Siap, in a glance, is a land of economic freedom, governmental social protection, and safety. Children are given egalitarian opportunities in school, businesses compete freely on the open market, and no official police exist, since there is no crime.

Once one passes the glamorous cities and moves towards the countryside, those who have been robbed of their lifeblood try to cobble together simple lives as the government either simply forgets them or attempts to force them to assimilate with no success. Drug use is rampant in this region, the law is enforced by the military police with utmost brutality, and overall the people are disenfranchised from their home.

Essentially this is a sort of character/mob RP focusing on the severely underdevloped region in my nation and casting light on the operations and local support base for the smuggler/terrorist "Cassius". This is open to all.

Cool. Cassius is a major arms dealer with a small but fanatical backing, and deals in all manners of smuggling, from arms to people. He has never been seen in public before and it is rumored that he posseses nuclear weapons.

EDIT: Time warp. Cassius needs more partners, and is always looking for new markets. Beware, as working with him will attract the attention of the Siapian Intelligence Network.

OOC: I would like to join this Rp. My organization is a massive crime syndicate that is trying to expand into other nations.

Siap has legalized marijuana, and many other drugs (psychedelic uppers and downers, specifically) come out of Siap.

The Rastorian Syndicate is made up of five crime cabals or factions that work together as a united organization. The Bosses are currently expanding their organization outside of Rastoria trying to gain larger markets and Siap’s lawless region would be a nice place to begin expanding their interests.

In terms of sheer size, Cassius is the silent owner of a large shipping company and can (and has) moved tanks and aircraft before. In terms of constitution, he helped change the tides in a nuclear arms race.

I'm thinking that this will begin with a large arms deal. Cassius has a lot of power in The Free City of Ceyol (my puppet state), and uses factories there to construct his weapons, but bases his financial institutions and drug operations in Siap, as well as storing weapons, because of the relatively porus border around where this is taking place.

I'm thinking that this will start off with a relatively large arms deal (or arms heist and subsequent deal). What kind of weapons do the Children of Poseiden need?

The Children require some thing that could damage (at least weaken, preferably not puncture) the hull of a small military class vessel.

Exocet missiles work. The warhead is notoriously unreliable (at least they were in the Balkans), so the explosives could be replaced with additional fuel and basically behave as giant guided molotov cocktails that would do some damage and force the evacuation of a ship. Would this work?

We wish to inquire as to how they are fired since our resources are fairly limited.

Unfortunately, I cannot find any stats on the size of the launchers. They are designed to be mounted on the deck of a frigate. There are also exocet missiles that can be launched from planes and helicopters.

Unfortunetly the Children do net yet posses a Frigate. A few small cargo ships are the largest we have.

In hindsight, it doesn't look like this thread is going to take off the way I wanted to. (I realized that I'd like some other things to happen first and have Cassius become a little more notorious).

I was thinking maybe Cassius could meet the Council of Rastoria. The notorious Commission of the Bosses. They could make agreements between our two organizations from there. The catch is that the meeting will have to take place in New Rastoria. The Bosses will only feel safe on their home turf away from international law enforcement agencies. (The Rastorian police and the Internal Investigation Bureau (IIB) are in the pockets of the Bosses.)

Cassius will be unable to attend himself, but he could send one of his trusted officers. Shall I make the thread or do you want to make it?

The Bosses will accept a trusted officer in proxy of Cassius as long as he can speak for Cassius's organization.

Yeah, I will make the meeting thread, His boathouse should arrive at the port city of East Veron. The harbors and docks are all controlled by the Barlucchi Cabal. They will provide transportation the rest of the way to New Rastoria the capital of Rastoria. The Bosses will have their meeting at the first National Bank of Rastoria....

Claude will be completely unarmed (completely against his nature). Post the IC when its up.
