In the late 2060's an obscure group of anarchic atheists managed to get their hands on the necessary technology to head up into the stars. This was the result of the help of a number of collaborators in the scientific community persauded about Darwin's ideas of evolution and a strident anti-religion stance these settlers landed on the Planet of Opheim I, a world where they could live and play out their ideal utopia.

However it wasn't long till a charasmatic yet power hungry and slightly insane leader took over. Going by the name of The Great Lion, this leader removed any semblance of power structures apart from himself and his power structure supporting him. However he died and someone just as dictatorial and various degrees of crazy took up the mantle of The Great Lion, just even the name had power in Atheistic Right. It was no until 2253 that the system collapsed, a wide-based groundswell of unhappy Rightists swept the Current Great Lion from power as well as the associated structures in institutions that he had set up.

In it's place, a democratic Atheistic Darwinist state that no longer has religion outlawed(though people would give very strange looks at a person of any religion and there is no known religious buildings nor associated organisations. Despite being a democratic state most of it's inhabitants are fairly dumb though those that show the inclination and the aptitude are quickly drafted into private research organisations to fuel the technological revolution and turnover in Atheistic Right. There are also shadowy figures that somehow influence the elections and democratic process, and they are never caught. Perhaps because the police are in their pockets or they are just too stupid to know what is going on.

A number of personnel from Atheisitic Right's very tiny public service come in and start initiating the process of change over of governmental control. Meanwhile the flow of military and trade between the systems intensifies. Plans are quickly drawn up for naval bases to be constructed in the next budget.

Meanwhile both planets are in-undated with ultra-advanced technology from Opheim as more rightists imigrate. For now the advanced technology of Atheistic Right is so far above their heads that it almost seems like magic.

In addition Rightist healthcare starts being offered, curing many common diseases and sicknesses. Because of all this many on the Planets of Miranda and Kandom III see the Rightists not only as benefactors and protectors of the people but some go as far as seeing them as gods. Which are soon to put to rest as they soon set the people right as they publically and frequently announce "There is no such thing as a god"

Of course some people resent what they see as "a technological superior nation interfering in local culture and traditions" But for now such people are in the extreme minority. For all the benefits they bring (technology and healthcare being two of them.)

The Atheistic Right Government starts a massive Health care push encouraging all residents of Kandom III and Miranda to go and get various vaccinations as well as general check ups from their closest Rightist Doctor, which had seemed to see big glowing dollar signs and moved en masse to Kandom III and Miranda providing the same level of healthcare services as the Rightist homeworld. However obviously they are much more busy than their compatriots in Darwinista.
