Boots could be heard thundering through the streets of the Hills. Every city, town, and military base was able to hear it. The continues thudding of thousands of rubber soles was nearly deafening. The only thing that was louder was the sound of the gunfire that was breaking out.

Hillian soldiers didn't know where to fire. The enemy looked like the ally and vice versa. The enemy wore the same uniforms. Fear sunk into the soldier's hearts. They had not been ready. Already all of Galway Isle had been taken. All but the citidel of Cork Isle had been lost as well. Not a single radio communication came from Cape De Valera or Cape Wallace.

The Celtic Land Forces had fallen back to defend. Much of those trying to retake the Capes fell back. The Supreme Admiral, Dennis Crowley, had ordered that the Citidel and Downings be the major defensive priorities.

Soldiers dug in. Thousands of fighters shot through the sky to ensure air superiority. They had no idea how many air craft the enemy had. The Celtic Navy began to bombard the shores of the Capes in hopes of forcing the enemy from them.

The Admiral issued a message to the rest of the world.

From: The desk of the Supreme Admiral
To: National leaders across the world

Today is a desperate day for the Hills. Today we have fallen victim to war. Not invasion, but revolution. We are hanging on by our fingernails. We have lost over half our country to these traitors. We are in depserate aid. Please come to our aid.

~Supreme Admiral Dennis Crowley

---

Brian Fluck laughed as he looked at the territory he and his followers had claimed. He was victorious, or nearly so at least. He knew it was only a matter of time before the Hills were his to control. He would take control of the nation from the Supreme Admiral. He would not lose.

Reports were being brought to him regularly. The Capes were secure. Galway was completely controled. His men on Cork were ready to launch a major assult on the Citidel. All that he had to look at now was Downings on Donegal Isle. That would be the hardest nut to crack, but it was all a matter of pressure.

---

Matthew Crowley was waiting. It wouldn't be long before he was ready to strike. He was in one of the bunkers throughout the Hills. He was deep behind enemy lines and split off from his team. He could hear enemy soldiers coming down the hall. He listened. Only two. Just as they came to the corner he was hiding behind he reached out with one hand and rammed his Black Widow Machete into the base of one of the soldier's skull. Quickly turning his attention to the other man he tripped him. Without hesitation he grabbed the man by the chin and the back of the head and quickly snapped the enemy's head to the side. He took a quick look arround, grabbed the feild radio that one of them had and ran off down the hall.

From the Desk of the Supreme Admiral
To The United Kingdom of Ezaltia

We thank you for your support. How ever I must warn you. My lower Admirals have informed me that close to twenty five percent of The Celtic Naval Forces is failing to report in. We do not yet know yet if they were captured, defeated, or if the have turned on us as well. Should they have been captured or have turned then this warning is not to be taken lightly. The Celtic Naval Forces stationed in Galway was roughly three grand fleets. This totals well over one thousand vessels. We must warn you to not risk a suicide attack.

As we have said, we are missing 3 grand fleets. Since most of the ships in our navy are higly automated we believe that the enemy could easily use all of the vessels at one. We are missing 4 Super Dreadnaughts, 60 Aircraft Carriers, and 90 submarines. A large number of Battleships are also missing with even more smaller ships.

From the Desk of the Supreme Admiral
To Toopoxia

We thank you for your aid here in spite of what we have done in the past. The 1st Grand navy will meet you troops and escort them to a safe landing zone on the Nothern tip of Cork. Consider this as a reapplication to the Corporate Alliance

~Supreme Admiral Dennis Crowley

Matthew Crowley kept running. He went further and further down into the bunk. As he was about to turn a corner he noticed a shadow on the wall that couldn't be his. He withdrew his silenced pistol since he knew his XM8 would alert much of the bunker. He peaked around the corner and saw his goal with three men guarding it. He carefully took aim at one of the men and fired two rounds, both fatal. The other two men quickly dropped to the ground and Crowley ducked back arround the corner. Peaking out once more he fired two rounds into each mans head and ran down the tunnel that they had been guarding. It would be a while, but he would meet up with his squad.

At the request of your nation and with the approval of the National Senate and President's office, we are willing to offer aid with the deployment of a reinforced Army airborne brigade, plus aviation and an Air Force Expeditionary Air Group. OOC:

Toop, each of the three mais islands are close in size to RL Austraila. I'll get you an exact scale if you need one. Gallway Isle, the south eastern island is completely theirs. All but the huge military base (The Citidel) of Cork Isle is also in enemy hads with loyalists scattered arround. The Capes I mentioned are on my main island, Donegal Isle. They are the northen tips that lead into the Celtic Gulf.

Just an FYI to everyone, this is not some couple thousand man force that is going against me. This is a full fleged army of several million, I estimate it at 10 million in total, 2 million of which are turncoats from the Hillian Military.

This leaves me at about even considering what I have lost I estimate the force scale to be almost even due to heavy casualties on my part from the surprise of the attack.

Operation Payday

This mission was different to the other that Toopoxia had engaged in, orders from high up were to reduce collaterol damage at any cost, this may have explained the blockading of Cork and Gallway Trading Ports, to beat them into submission via underhanded means.

Aside from this move the forces had made landfall with 2 of its regiments and a small portion of the Armour, securing Cork, due to the large military base in the North, was a priority, deploying in the North Western coast of the Southern Island in order to cut any moves made into the military base and attempting to liberate the Northern city.

The Ezaltian fleet approached the Galway coast, the mighty dreadnought Praecursoris like a elephant among sheep. Its guns raised slightly, and then fired in a massive broadside on any coastal weapons emplacements. The smaller battleships joined in, their 16-inch guns pounding the coast as missiles from the cruisers, frigates, and destroyers swooped in with brutal accuracy.

On the assault carriers, troops, tanks, and APCs were being loaded on the LCACs. They would launch in a few minutes, after the barrage had sufficiently pulverized the coastal defenses.

(OOC: Lol took me a while to realize that was Army Alphabet...)

The Hills were now going to take the offensive. Three million men were going to try and push back the evil that stood at the gates of the Citidel. They were the most powerful force the Hills had ever used in their own land.

Heavy bombers flew out over where recon had shown large groups of infantry. Once above them they opened their bay doors, drenching the ground and enemy with napalm. MkII and MKIII Behemoths charged out of the Citidel firing at any thing that they knew wasn't part of the Hillian Army. Hillian soliers dressed in the Dagda Battle Suit followed closely behind the huge tanks. From inside the citidel, large artilery peices fired shell after shell into the enemy.

On Donegal Island, orders went out to retake the capes at all costs. Half of the Hillian Armada swam out to bombard the land. Tanks and infantry blocked the only and exits that the rebels would have from the soon to be crater ridden area in which they dwelled.

The remaining fourth of the Hillian navy split up and went out to meet the incoming aid in order to escort the friendlies to shore. Gallway Islan was the only one that had not been attacked yet. The cape based cities of Belfast to the north and Derry to the west were heavily defended. Satilite recon showed that the fourth of the Armada that had gone missing had indeed fallen into the hands of the Malitia. Most of the vessels were defending the cities on the Gallway Capes. Taking Gallway would be a bloody battle but it was one the Hills felt they could win, provided they cleared Donegal and Cork first.

(OOC: Donegal is basically cleared. I won't need any aid there. Cork will be a pain but with help it'll be Hillian once more. Gallway as I have said is going to be very bloody and probably will be what most of this RP will be focused on...)

OOC: My bad...

IC:

Belfast was hit hard. Many of the civilians who had failed to make it to the bunker beneath the city had been out salvaging in the streets when the first of the shells hit. Many died.

The Malitia forces were hit hard as well though. Tank concentrations just outside of the city were obliterated. Many soldiers were left injured by the blasts.

Howeve, the Malitia did not take this lightly. Most, if not all, of the artillery that the Malitia had stolen in the first hours of the revolt had survived the shelling. They returned fire, as did all of the larger ships in the area near the city. Aircraft took off from military bases under rebel control and flew out to target the vessels of Ezaltia.

"Arjuna flight, hostiles bearing two-seven-zero! Engage!"

A wing of F-119 Banshee interceptors split from the swarm of fighters above the Ezaltian fleet, accelerating and unleashing a swarm of AIM-120D AMRAAMs at the oncoming aircraft. AA defenses onboard the ships were readied against the enemy attack, should the fighting get too close.

The enemy counterbarrage destroyed several Ezaltian ships, but the enemy vessels' loaction was quickly triangulated. The Praecursoris unleashed a withering broadside of 31-inch shells fired from all 32 guns. The battleships joined in on the counter-counterbarrage, opening up on the enemy ships with their own main guns. The position of the land-based artillery was also quickly triangulated, and the cruisers, destroyers, and frigates sent sea-to-surface missiles streaking towards their positions with pinpoint accuracy.

First Lieutenant Timothy Hamilton's LCAC cruised smoothly over the waves towards the Hillian coast. Explosions and muzzle flashes dotted the beach ahead. The young officer turned to his platoon. "All right! When we hit the beach, find cover as fast as you can! Machine gunners, cover us while we advance, and we'll return the favor. Watch out for land mines, also."

His adjutant, Sergeant Major Perry Lepellier, grinned wryly. "What, sir, as opposed the air mines?"

The platoon laughed nervously. Lieutenant Hamilton clicked off the safety on his ERX-22 assault rifle. "Huzzah?"

"Huzzah!" The entire platoon cried as one, ready to face the largest amphibious operation in Ezaltian history since the War of 1940.
