My fellow New Atlanteans:
For months, we have co-existed in our region with the up-til-now peaceful nation of Landsalar. Indeed, Ekin Volshwa and I have enjoyed frequent peaceable talks, resulting in free trade among our nations and among neighbors.
It has become increasingly apparent, however, that Volshwa himself has gone mad...endangering not only himself but the lives of the people of his nation. And now, it appears that his insanity threatens our way of life as well.
Royal New Atlantis cannot, and will not, allow a madman to endanger the lives of our island nation. Even now, RNA radar has picked missiles from an unknown source streaking towards Landsalar, thus threatening the safety of RNA itself. Repeated attempts and pleas to Volshwa, as well as phone calls, have gone unanswered, as this madman insists that "the Lord God Volshwa does not speak to such puke-filled pathetic weaklings as you!"
Therefore, it is with a measure of regret, but a characteristic resolve, that I have ordered the following actions to be taken:
1) The Saudakar Fleet of Royal New Atlantis, as of 4:25 RNA time, has been dispatched to the coast of Landsalar, where they will take up blockade positions.
2) I have ordered the Royal New Atlantis Air Corps to begin surgical strafing runs over unpopulated areas of Landsalar
3) I have ordered an immediate pullout of all essential and non-essential civilian RNA personnel from Landsalar
4) I am hereby requesting that our great ally, Mer de Ennuis, begin a temporary pullout of their personnel from their embassy, and take shelter in our bunker.
5) I am also requesting immediate military assistance from our ally, Mer de Ennuis.
I appeal to Volshwa one last time: Please, Ekin, stand down. Do not allow your delusions of grandeur to cause bloodshed among our two great nations. However, if you choose to stay this course of action, Royal New Atlantis and her allies will be forced to remove you from the seat of power.
We will not flater. We WILL stay the course, if the need has arisen.
