"Muahaha," laughs head horseman General Gordon Mane of horsementribes' fourth calvary, "We have somehow slipped into the region of Greater Carpathia without any resistance whatsoever!"

One of the many hundreds of yes-men vassals in service to the general rolled his eyes. "Yes, m'lord. The region wasn't password protected."

"Well, yes. Hmm. I suppose that's why." The general paused. "Well we should do something now that we've made it here. I know! Let us rampage across the lands and rape and pilage, muahaha."

"Is that a wise idea, m'lord?"

"Well, why wouldn't it be? Isn't that what horsementribes' military was supposed to do?"

"Yes, m'lord, but there is no need now. The region wasn't password protected. no defenses."

"Hmm," the general tugged on his sparse beard, then raised and twirlled twirled his finger above his head and grinned ear to ear, "I know what we shall do! We shall announce our arrival to the nationstates forum and see what they all can do about it. Muahahaha. For now, though, we will settle here and build castles and grow crops and drink lots of Palinka. Wo! Bring me my bottle of Palinka, squire! And start a bon fire for tonight we party."

"General Mane! We've just received a reply to our ultimatum," a messanger rode up and handed the scroll, tied and sealed in wax with the emblem of the Royal Family's coat of arms.

"Give it here then, and stop shoutinging, will you?" The general was apparently suffering from a severe hang-over. He tore open the scroll and started reading:

"I shall beat you with a giant canoli until you bleed and my boyfriend can do whatever he wants to you with his big supply of guns and katana's in his room."

"What is a canoli?" asked one of the yes-men vassals to the general.

"Darned if I know."

"And isn't a katana a kind of fish?"

"Who knows."

"Well what does this message mean, m'lord?"

The general crumpled the scroll and tossed it over his shoulder. "It is obviously written in some sort of code meant to distract us while the Queen mobilizes her forces."

"I see."

The general groggily stood and stretched, bellowing a loud yawn.

"Well, have you finished building my castle yet?"

"M'lord. We arrived here only yesterday. We can not possibly -"

"Aren't you supposed to be a yes-man. You're fired, literally. Take him away and fire him. And bring me some more palinka!" he shouted.

What tech level is this? Better yet, are you trying to invade a region, yet you aren't a UN nation anyways? What's the point of this?

(OOC)Hmm - didn't know I had to be a UN delegate to invade a region. Besides, I don't know what I'm doing anyway. How do you do this thing anyway? Is Nationstates only about building a nation and answering the questions? What do you mean by tech level? (I am a rp n00b, so help?)

Jolt Forum NS and NS proper behave in two different ways:

NS Proper: (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi)
Is where you create a nation, and try to get the govenrment you want.

Some people then join the UN and draft more crazy issues for your nation to vote on, or, alternately, invade and raid another region.

Jolt NS:
Is something different, since it was sort of clear that NS proper doesn't really have any way of conducting international disputes and issues (in fact, only limited inter regional and domestic issues, aside from UN resolutions), forum RPing fills that gap.

The two forms of gameplay do not necessarily mix, as some RPers do not use the stat block or economy stats given them by NS, and simply invent their own, making them more so Nation RPers who happen to have or had a nationstates account.
========
Brain fried yet? No, good, cause it gets harder...

Tech level:
Likewise, some RPers would rather fight with sword or plasma weapons rather than assault rifle and tanks.

Thus, for fairness, players are generally catagorized by Tech level
From oldest to Newest
AT - Ancient tech (cavemen) pick a century
PT - Past tech pick a decade of the 18th-20th century
MT- Modern Tech is pretty much todays technology, this divides into hard and soft MT
PMT - (Post-modern Tech) What players consider feasable but not entirely sure how it works, and currently no comparable tech exists.

FT- (Future/fantasy Tech) Pick up a good old fiction book like 'Ender's Game' or 'Lord of The Rings' and you'll get the idea...

That said, read the stickies.

A good/great RP generally reads like a Tom Clancy novel...

(Helping mostly cause your nation name reminds me of Khornate Tribes, which was nuked a few months ago...)
