“Today an assembly of radical nobility who wished to establish an oligarchy in the place of the Scandinvan Empire under the rule of Emperor Olaf IV.

There nobles, all of whom were of less important families or of lower importance in the system, planned to use the funeral to which to kill the Emperor in front of many foreign leaders and important heads of noble houses.

Assembling their own few legions they planned to launch a coup and gain the support of a few key Parliament members and Imperial generals in which they would be to establish a force powerful enough to rule over the Empire with an iron hand.

Yet, as they addressed the began to prepare for their attack they revealed the plan to their officers and in turn went before the Imperial soldier who quickly mutinied.

With the mutiny the scheming nobles were quickly surrounded by their own soldiers who ordered them to surrender of face execution on the ground of treason.

Sadly, the arrogant rebellious nobles refused to do the just thing and chose to face death in the hopes of gaining the support needed to usurp Parliament and the Emperor.

Dressalia will always philosophically oppose oligarchy as a method of government on the basis that it cannot serve the good of the many by its very definition. We also believe that a coup d'etat is also against the interests of a country's general civilian populace. In that respect, we offer our support to the Scandinvan Empire for opposing such a system.
However, we believe in non-violent methods of justice, and encourage the Scandinvan Empire to consider using less lethal means of putting down such crimes, in particular for the crime of treason, since it can often be used as a catch-all term to repress the political rights of the people - something Dressalia has consistently voiced its opposition to whenever it has been raised as an international issue.

With the prayer fires still burning from the service of your Emperor's funeral we are shocked and appalled that such an act occurred, and suggest you look into the matter to see if these nobles are responsible for his death. We offer to take care of these criminals for you.

At the announcement of the bullion sent in thanks for the emotional support sent by Centrendom, a hasty parade was arranged in honor of Emperor Olaf IV. Citizens from across the countryside were gleefully clapping along with the festive music. Kids were delighted by the helium ballons that were dotting the sky and the candy being thrown from the vibrantly colored floats. The gift from the Scandinavian Empire brightened the day of every Centrendonian citizen.
