PLEASE NO WAR (I tire of saying this only to be attacked to "advance a plot", or for territorial gains)
((OOC: finally I can post on this again... no I'm not going to be borg again if any of you remember that...))
The planet slowly orbited the single yellow main sequence star in the center of the system. It occulted the star from view and slowly moved out of the disk of light. Soon a bright flash of light emerged as the eclipse finished. The resulting light showed that the planet was M-class. One could tell that it was relatively advanced due to the fact that it had several space elevators ascending from the planet into geosynchronous orbit. (the view zooms in on one of the elevators)
The elevator had a station at the top, and beside it lay an unfinished ship. The ship itself was almost completed. One could make out that it was (relatively) slowly being completed by rows of dots. Eventually it was finished. A final pod moved up the elevator. That pod contained the last of several hundred colonists that would take the craft to a nearby M-class planet, the third planet from the sun. It was colder than Firehelper II but it was untouched and had a similar biosphere.
The ship lauched. Its simple rocket engines first pushed it out of the magnetosphere. It than seperated from the rockets. Once could see an immense explosion as its twin nuclear pulse engines roared to life. Soon it rapidly enclosed on the planet.
....One terran month later (I hate making new mesurements)...
The ship arrived in orbit of the planet. A person could see numerous explosions rock the ship as twin banks fired. They were divided into many compartments, each containing a satilite. Soon a entire network was established laying the foundation for communication and exploration. Next the ship launched several pods. They rocketed around the planet's atmosphere seeding the planet with nanobots. Soon in the prime landing spot a city emerged. The ship divided up and set down near the city.
((I have to sleep so i'm in a rush))
...100 years later...
Both planets each had a large infrastructure. They both had many defences (to tiered to et into them) Now the second expansion would occur as a large twenty fleet ship engaged their hyperspace drived and launched towards the nearest habitable star system....
((if someone could RP someone at the starsystem be it a station or a ship it would be nice... Ill get into more detail tomorrow...))

Dreen-Kahluun
The colony world of the Empire sat basking in the radiance of the twin stars while traffic scurried among the various orbital mining facilities. Ore freighters traveled to the Local Gate of the ITH and from there jumped to their customers using the wormhole network that made intergalactic shipping as cheap as moving the loads in-system.
Due to the intense energy output of the twin stars, the inner planets were nothing but burnt out husks incapable of supporting life unless it was based upon molten rock. A couple companies were experimenting in extracting minerals from the dark sides but other than that, there was no activity on those worlds. The green belt of the system contained the sixth, seventh, and eighth planets with the primary settlements being set up on DK VII. The usual Space Tower, more of a mountain if anything, had been completed over a century ago and most of the traffic was docking with the structure that poked itself out of the atmosphere.
In the outer system several refinery stations were waiting to receive the raw materials from the asteroids and to send their end product to the Orbital Factories to turn out many of the products the corporations here was shipping to their clients on the other side of the ITH.
Protecting the whole system was The Home Guard, a civilian run coast guard using military mothballed ships that were old by Empire standards but still able to defend the system from most anyone. All they had to do was last ten minutes and the Military would be there.
Surrounding the entire system was a series of 220 defense station, all uplifted to T-Space. They kept an eye out for intruders from all directions and would provide an ample warning if any approached using the most up to date sensors the Empire possessed.

The ten ships hurtled through hyperspace rapidly heading to the discovered binary system. They flew almost blind as their sensors could bearly keep up with the ammount of infomation provided to them. Soon they arrived at the system. However, the ships computers immediately recodnised the presence of artificial structures and activated the ships weapons and shields in the off chance that they are hostile.
Message to unknown race:
This is the first Firehelper Fleet. We are sorry for the intrustion but we were not aware that this system was claimed by another race. In fact this is the first alien race that we have encountered thus far. We wish to open relations with your nations if premitted.
The ten ships sat at the edge of the systemwaiting for a responce.

The ten ships sat at the edge of the systemwaiting for a responce.
T-Space, Station 112:
“Sir, I am receiving Hyperspace Signatures of ten inbound ships. They are set on a course that will take them to the edge of the system. It appears they are going to Emerge outside the system proper.”
“I see, any idea what kind of ships they are or who they are?”
“Negative Sir. We have no data on their ship types.”
“Inform System Control of the incoming ships and get someone there to meet them.”
“Yes Sir.”
Real Space:
A frigate, The Don, detached itself from its normal patrol and used its Mirage Drive to jump briefly into T-Space and appear near where the incoming fleet was expected.
“Captain, I am reading a Hyperspatial Aperture opening seven light minutes from our current position. Sensors read five vessels of a possible war class and five of civilian class.”
“Hold actions until you detect their weapons status and raise ours to match theirs.”
“Yes Sir.”
Several minutes passed before the ten ships were suddenly thrust into Real Space from Hyperspace. They seemed to pause for a bit before anything happened.
“Sir, I am detecting their Shield and Weapon systems going online. I am matching their status as ordered. I am also picking up a message. Transferring it to the main screen.”
Message to unknown race:
This is the first Firehelper Fleet. We are sorry for the intrustion but we were not aware that this system was claimed by another race. In fact this is the first alien race that we have encountered thus far. We wish to open relations with your nations if premitted.
“Sir, I am reading five war ships, two passenger ships and three freighters in their group. It looks like a colonist convoy. There are minimal weapons systems on the civilian vessels.”
“Open a comm. Channel to the lead vessel.”
“Yes Sir, channel open.”
Greetings Firehelper Fleet. We welcome you to the Dreen-Kahluun System. We hope your trip was not too bad. We would welcome opening negotiations with you. Please let us know where you would like to begin them. Meanwhile, can you please follow me and I will escort you into the system. It is so inhospitable to keep you out here.
The Don turned and began to lead the alien fleet into the system, keeping their sensors on the foreign ships just in case.

T-Space, Station 194:
“Sir, I am detecting a Warp signature opening in vector 128 by 342 by 34. It appears someone is using the Immaterium to travel to the system.”
“Keep an eye on that. There are very few nations we know that use the Immaterium that are on friendly terms with the Empire. Inform System Control of a possible hostile action so they can get someone there.”
Minutes later several of the Homeguard ships jumped into an intercept position, including the Intruder Carrier itself, The Foul Repercussions. Several escort ships accompanied her including a couple frigates, destroyers, cruisers, and a battleship. Aboard The Foul Repercussions, Commander Deg’Rade sat and watched the sensor reports of the incoming ships.
“Sir, I am detecting a breach and the emergence of a dozen vessels. The nation of origin is unknown but they match the configuration of Strike Cruisers. I am picking up a message.”
“Let me hear it.”

“Open a channel to those ships.”
“Right away Sir.”
Attention incoming ships.
Of the two choices you give us, we are left with few to pick from. Since there is not any “Terra System” anywhere near here we cannot be these “Terrans” you spoke of. That leaves us with your other choice. By default I guess that makes us “foul Xenos”.
Your actions thus far are viewed as hostile and we will not stand for it. When you are in someone else’s house you are proper and polite. Now, will you take your poor attitudes and leave us or you will not like our response to being treated in such a manner in our own homes.
The choice is yours, either curb your tongues when here or take off. Make your decision soon because I have other business elsewhere and this is inconveniencing me somewhat.
“Launch the first Wing of fighters to make our point that we will not allow this rudeness. That will either make them act nicely or they will leave.”
“Yes Sir, Proteus Fighters launching Sir.”
The quad fighters hit void as they were catapulted out of The Foul Repercussions. They formed their individual formations of five fighters each. Five formations made a squad and four squads constructed a wing. That meant there were a hundred fighters were filing out in swarms, taking position to keep the aliens polite and under control.

Ok, so where are we?
No idea. The Exploration Overmind just told us we were to fold into this galaxy.
So which galaxy is it?
Previous readings gather that we are in 0277.
Well, isn't that nice. Any life-forms within range then?
We've emerged near a star system. I'll send an arty over to form you a representation of its inhabitants.
How kind of you. I'm getting signals from my Ves'dari Operator.... it's multiple species, and some of them appear hostile to each other.
Will this do for starters?
Uplink to Emperor's Network established.
Within one of the two Gali'randi vessels a creature begins to form. Starting with the circulatory system; bones are constructed from the cellular level, muscles and skin and organs added on, and finally standard uniform. A tele-image of the lang-scan is processed into association with the creature -- a Balroggan -- and Ai'ur Kovolk, or more accurately her avatar, stares at the alien with interest. After a moment Ai'ur re-establishes contact with her sister ship, 'Ashin I'urji.
So this is the new species we've discovered?
Yes. I'm still working on the others. Those new arrivals, in twelve vessels, appear to be 'u-mani.... you know, that particularly belligerent and self-important one from Galaxy 0273.
If I still had my body I'd laugh. What about the third species in the system?
I'm still gathering data on them.
Good, just stay cloaked then, and wait.
The two ships are in a precarious state at the moment, phasing in and out of iS-qV (a parallel universe in which time does not exist) one trillion times a second. This in turn renders them quite invisible to everyone, except those with sensors at a high enough frequency to detect something that's only around for about a trillionth of a second anyway.
And, as Ai'ur instructed them to, they wait.

...Bridge of the FHISTNS (FireHelper Imperial Star Fleet Naval Ship... I have to shoten that) Feng Huang...
"Incoming transmission" said a random comm officer. (oh by the way all my messages are audio only) A person, apparently a captain, appeared on the screen.
"Greetings Firehelper Fleet. We welcome you to the Dreen-Kahluun System. We hope your trip was not too bad. We would welcome opening negotiations with you. Please let us know where you would like to begin them. Meanwhile, can you please follow me and I will escort you into the system. It is so inhospitable to keep you out here. " said the man. The captain looked around the bridge. (I;m so unoriginal among all my nations...) The entire bridge was a holographic arena. The captain saw a mass of small ships approaching what appeared to be warships.
"ensign," said the admiral, "Tell three warships to head to the mass of smaller ships and then open an audio only channel to the frigate.
"This is the FHISTNS Feng Huang, we are not comfortable to enter your space. ((what can you say its a first contact)) However, we have determined a point at which we can set up a station." He typed in a command in the console, and a freighter moved ahead of the ships and began transforming. It rapidly became a seemingly liquid mass of metal before settling into a new shape. Replicators on the now station began to produce a oxygen-nitrogen atmosphere for whoever may come. After this was completed about five minutes later the admiral spoke again. "As you can see we have rapidly constructed a neutral space station. Please feel free to scan it to ensure that we are not lying." an alarm beeped and the captain looked down then and a location on the holographic bridge. He then typed a command to slow the region to one nanosecond (I think that's a billionth) and one could barely see a flickering image. The admiral next gave a command to cut the comms.
"Captain we are being scanned (I assume)"
"Activate plasma shielding." The ships in the fleet took on a blue glow as the plasma shielding activated. There were two layers of shielding separated by a magnetic field. In between was a area of intense radiation. The admiral signaled for the comms to be opened again.
"There is a ship... it is slightly out of range of my sensors and appeared to be phasing in and out of reality. Perhaps you have the ability to see it. In any case, we would like to schedule a meeting in three hr."

The warp was always in a state of termoil. Its many currents washing over each other in random pattens. For the hundreth time Kor'El'Tau'N'Or'Es wished that mankind wasn't such an emotional race, ether that or that they shared the Tau's lack of physic powers. However, mankind was mankind, and it was their Physic powers that created the massive energy wash within the Warp. Kor'El remembered fondly how the warp back home behaved, how it acted in a predictable and all together safer manner, however, that was their and this was here. Shaking these thoughs from his mind Kor'El returned his attention to the Warp sphere, a holographic read out of the entire warp within 100 light years of his ships position. For a last few days, if time existed in the same way in the warp as it did in the material world, he had been watching a group of Imperium strike crusers. It always intrested him to watch Imperium ships travel through the Warp, for they lacked the technology of the Tau and so navigated through this relm of physic energy by using a "Navigator". This always puzzled Kor'El, surely it would be far better to experiment with Warp matter spectrographs( I'm using the principly usd in the Hitch Hikers guide to the Galaxy, which states that all matter is connected to all other matter and so a spectrographic analysis of a piece of cake cna produce a map of the entire universe but instead my system does a scan of warp energy to produce a map of the warp.) but of course he already knew why. If a human tried to go into the warp or bring some of its material on board then they would be open to attack by deamons. He thanked the Tau's lack of Physic powers once again, as they could easily travel through the warp without such threats.
Kor'El watched the Imperium ships suddenly exit the Warp, to far away from one of their planets or those of an enemy. Kor'El concluded that ether their geller field or Warp engines had failed. Signaling to a Kor'La to bring the ship out of the Warp nearby, they would offer assistance to those, who in a diffrent place, were their allies.
With a flash a single Hero class battleship, the Y'Eldi, exited the warp and Hailed the Imperium ship. "Greeting Imperium ship, we noticed that you dropped out of warp quite suddenly and theoris that your Warp drive or geller feild has failed, can we assist? Kor'El of the Y'Eldi out".

“Hmmm, Immaterium? I haven’t heard that word for quite some time. I wonder if it is as fun as it used to be.”
“What Sir?”
“Nothing, send the technicians in the list I am forwarding over to their ships. They will know what to do about their misaligned drives. Let the cruisers know we will be sending help over in a few minutes. Once they agree, retract the Proteus Fighters. I don't think we need them after that.”
“Yes Sir.”
Attention Strike Cruisers.
A shuttle with technicians will be launched from the carrier. It will approach your ships and will land on the first ship. The technicians will then ask to be taken to your engines to diagnose the problem and hopefully get you on your way in time to stop that Ork Wargh

As the shuttle landed on the first ship, the mechanics were greeted by the alien’s honor guard who escorted them to the engine room. After some time poking about the engines, a small problem was found that when readjusted, the engines operated again. Apparently there was some glitch in their engine’s software that caused the engines to become misaligned and then fail, pulling the ship out of their FTL field. After a quick merging of the mind with their system, the technician was able to not only fix the glitch, but after they were done the engines ran better than when they were new due to some extra torque and fine tuning.
After checking the second ship and finding the same problem, the technicians were able to finish with the repairs within a total of two hours and were on their way back to their own ship.

Kor'El watched as te Imerpium ship re-entered the warp before turning his attention to the Warp sphere. They were heading in the direction of a large warp energy concentration, which the computers had flagged as some form of conflict. Kor'El sent the signal to return to warp space and continue their mission, howeve, after entering the warp, but before beginning to leave they sent a message pod to the Imperium ships, which simple said "Good hunting out their".

“Yes Sir, relaying the message to the support vessels.”
One by one the other ships faded away as they engaged their Mirage Drives to uplift and then jump to their normal patrols. The last to leave was the carrier just after the last of the fighters returned from their brief jaunt.
Thank you for not resorting to violence. You can often get more with sugar than with vinegar.
The carrier faded away as it returned to it’s orbit around the seventh planet.

((I leave for a few hours and I miss everything...))
...three hours later....
A FHISTNS Fighter (also cloaked in a plasma shield... the station is too) soo docked with the station located at one of the Lagrangian points in the system. As soon as the shuttle came close enough it powered up. Lights flickered on giving the appearance of a ship at night. Soon the shuttle docked and deposited its passangers.
The five Diplomats walked through the halls. The halls were large and spacious, light seemed to come from everywhere leaving a pleasent appearance. The walls themselves were covered in a OLED emmiting almost pure white light. (If you ever watch SW: II... think Kamino) The walls were also touch sensitive and doubled as a large computer screen. The station itself was quite lage. It was powered by numerous microfusion generators spaced htroughout the station and had the most advanced communications system that could be produced using the materials at hand. (which was a a lot since the frieghters were automated and used as raw material for nanobots)
The dioplomats moved to a rec room and ate waiting for the arriaval of the Balroggan (I think) diplomats.
