Honako Hostility Conference [Closed]
PEACE CONFERENCE FOR HONAKO HOSTILITIES
OOC: This is a thread for people who are involved in the Honako Conflict (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=519669), and concerns peace talks. Basically I hope we can all post our diplomats arriving (most have, but you know what I mean – in a more interesting way and such) then we can commence the business of trying to stop Oslea from invading my country! Uncle Noel suggested it, and he seems pretty neutral and is the most powerful nation involved, so I’ll think he’ll be enforcing any problems within a treaty if they are signed (he had he’d attack any nations who broke it).
We don’t have to be too indepth, the main purpose of this is to find out how we can get around this attack. Remember this is my first time doing diplomatic Rping, so be kind. Throughout this I’ll try and spice things up with the Smokers Union attack on the building and the possibility of it ending with ongoing war – not that I want millions of Oslea forces to kill me

Commission Headquarters – Grand Ballroom, Jabero
Mrs. Bourla Parkins fidgeted nervously. She looked around the hastily prepared reception for the nations delegates who were invited to the peace talks and was displeased with it, the décor was bland and pale, with nothing but stripped down white walls and a few limp propaganda posters - not representative of the usual flamboyance she liked to greet important persons with. To note also all the staff all looked worried and unwelcoming, a sign of fear plastered across their faces. Flanking her to the left was Niles Gordon, a proud Englishmen and the deputy High Commissioner, who was wearing a rather boring ruffled brown suit and appeared as if he hadn’t washed or slept in days, which was likely true. And on her right was General Claes, head of Honako’s entire military, who looked stern and conniving as usual.
She on the other hand had tried to be smart, but failed. Her fitted grey suit made her look fat and dreary, and the last thing she wanted was all the nations sending delegates thinking that Honako was a Communist state, all grey and filled with iron buildings and ration slips. Although, in there current state of war – it was. She turned to Niles and whispered:
“This is terrible isn’t it? Oh well, impressions don’t matter unless it’s for our allies. These vicious invaders shouldn’t be allowed in the same room as us. Remember to give Oslea and the other attacker’s rooms in the Susian Suite of the Commission. The maids wake everyone up there at 5:30 in the morning and they have a strange smell of toilet in them”
“Of course High Commissioner” Niles Gordon said wearily.
Mrs. Parkins smiled. She felt that by giving these attackers the worst place to stay, she’d at least won something.
The doors opened behind her and the Commission Debating room was open. At least it was well furnished in there. Now they just had to wait for the guests to come down and discuss a peace treaty…
Concerning Border Defenses
Official Telegram to Head of Forces on the Honako Border
You are to cease fire immediately. We may be able to get out of this without having to forcible remove any invaders from our country. I say we may, I don’t count on it though. Withdraw slightly as a sign of peace. We are sending troops though, incase more war erupts for defenses.

Lifer got up and watched his brave men ready for battle. Within the next few days he could be smoking again, legally. That was the plan – if Honako weren’t as stubborn as they had been before. Oslea would not be happy at the prospect of them holding there delegate hostage, but they’d be treated with more care than the other scoundrels, as would his allies. They would see it was all worth it.
He had received news of a possible attack by the Buddha forces, so they were leaving fast. Men piled up guns and explosives on there back, turning from normal people who just wanted the right to smoke to walking living killing machines. Soon they would run like tiny little rats into the open sewers they knew so well, moving around undetected. And then, they would strike the Commission HQ. And then, they would get there freedom.

General Jason Goldsea walked into the room flanked by his guards and sat down next to General Claes, who he knew fairly well from meetings between Aurum Domus' and Honako's Department of Defenses. General Goldsea wanted this peace process to go as smoothly as possible, though he doubted it would. In the back of his mind he wanted these peace talks to be disrupted and for all out war to start so he could win it and become a hero.

General George Javar and Monsignor Mark Ives of Tolvarus walked down the hallway quickly, flanked by two guards in the uniforms of the Tolvarus Military. Both were hopeful that peace could be achieved through this conference, but for different reasons. Ives objected to war on a philosophical level, and while he acknowledged that it was sometimes necessary, it was better for all parties involved if the conflict could be settled by diplomacy. Javar simply wanted peace so he could take his troops back home; he didn’t want any of them to have to throw away their lives, furthermore, Javar’s wife had given birth to a baby girl only a few days before he had been sent to Honako, and he wanted to get back home as soon as possible. Hopefully the Lord Commander would grant him a leave of absence so he could spend some time with his family.
As the four men approached the conference room, Ives nodded at Javar, and whispered, “When we get into the conference, let me do most of the talking. If you have an important point to make, by all means, go right ahead. But I’ve spent most of my life in diplomacy, and this is what I’m trained for.”
Javar smiled, “Yes, sir, Monsignor. War’s my business, but I’m not really cut out for all this political diplomacy stuff. I’ll follow your lead.” It seemed somewhat strange to Javar to be taking orders from a man whose head barely came up to his chest, but Ives was a priest - a high ranking one too - and in Tolvarus, that meant something.
When the representatives from Tolvarus arrived at the conference room, they were quickly ushered inside by the men at the door. Inside they politely greeted General Goldsea and the Honakon officials, and took two seats across from Niles Gordon. The guards took up their position against the wall behind them.
OOC Sorry, but is my delegate still in intensive care?
The Concorde bearing the Ezaltian Forward Air Force roundel touched down gently, followed by its escort of 8 F-119 Banshee interceptors and the C-5 holding the motorcade. Nathan Caldwell, a dark-haired man of 34, boarded the armored Hummer H3 that took him to the conference.
The Hummer stopped in front of the conference building, a bodyguard in a dark designer suit stepping out and holding the door open for Caldwell. The Minister of Foreign Affairs adjusted his pale blue tie against his dark grey shirt, buttoning his black pinstriped jacket and stepping out of the vehicle. The two bodyguards flanked him as he walked into the ballroom, scanning the room carefully for any threats. "All clear," one mumbled, his throat-mike transmitting the message back to the platoon of SAS men waiting at the airport.
Caldwell sat across the table for the Honakan delegate, reserving the seat next to him for the Oslean ambassador. He accepted the offered glass of mineral water and took a small sip, setting it in front of him and shuffling his notes, ready to begin.
OOC: RSU, check your telegrams.
Niles Gordon sat down calmly and looked across the assembled group of people. They were all delegates, well dressed and well informed, smug in themselves most likely. He didn't trust them, but he didn't trust many people for that matter. Two very notable absences at this point were Oslea and the Fiefdom, perhaps Gordon had been stupid to think the two starters of all this, Oslea the war and Fiefdom the peace process, would arrive here early. He sighed and waited for the talks to begin, and hoped they would not drag out for too long.
He wanted this whole process of a peace treaty to be over in a day, but if he was honest with himself he agreed with some of the viewpoints G. Jason Goldsea after some light discussion earlier. Oslea did not deserve to attack Honako brutally and support a terrorist faction and not be punished. He would certainly challenge any silly hidden clauses in there demands for peace, he just wanted to never see an Oslean again.

The Cnian diplomat entered the conference room, flanked by his two veteran guards, both having their new AK-74's slung around their right arm.
The Oslean ambassador, Vincent Malone, was being privately flown to Honako for the peace conference with Honako and other nations involved with the conflict. His jet would be escorted by two OSF-26s, a familiar sight for Honako infantry who had encountered the OSAF in a scouting run made days ago.
--
The jet touched down at an airport in Jabero. As he was escorted out by two soldiers assigned to guard duty carrying M16A4s, a limo with Oslean flags mounted as hood ornaments on the front, provided by the Oslean government, pulled up to the landing zone. The chauffeur opened the door, and let the men in. A sedan at the front of the limo and a sedan at the back, each with escort personnel, were assigned to guard the limo.
--
It was nearly time to solve a bloody conflict with diplomatic abilities, unlike the rest of the war, namely the Anthrax ICBM attack on the southern Honako border which killed many troops. Malone got out of the limo with his two guards at his sides. As he neared the conference room, he signaled to the men to head back to the limo and let him proceed alone. He took his seat beside the Ezaltian ambassador and quickly rehearsed what he was going to demand, and say, in his mind. He, being a man favouring diplomatic solutions, unlike some Oslean Generals, was hoping that the conference would go successfully and would stop the fighting.

High Commissar Yuri Yaroslav slowly entered the Conference Hall. He had swapped the official R.S.U. uniform for a more impressive embroidered military uniform, complete with badges. On his left was one of the senior Party members, still looking like he had just been pulled out of bed.
Nice you could make an effort, Yuri thought bitterly. Flanking them, was the infamous R.S.U. Elite Guard. Fully armoured and armed, wearing a traditional tench coat over their kevlar and carrying two polished Koloshnikovs, complete with silencers. Their faces were hidden behind a black gas mask with red eye sockets, giving an almost ghost-like appearance. As they entered the room, they loaded their weapons loudly as if they expected to use them. Yuri almost laughed at this intimidation tactic.

Diplomatic Establishment, Jabero, Honako

The Cnian diplomat, along with his guard contingent faced the new comers. Weary of their loaded guns, the Cnian guards did the same. Their guns, being new, were less load as the barrels were not completely used, not even minimially, except for the few hours they spent on the firing range, which was nothing compared to riggers of combat, of which both Cnian guard had faced much of. Both guards had been decorated with Silver stars, but no purple hearts as that may have inhibeted their ability in combat. The guards had dawned high black combat boots, which protruded up the leg only several centimeters above the ankle. Though dark blue, line with a straight golden line striking down the sides, entered into the boot. Atop these, their shirts, where tightly fitting blue shirts. The shirts resembled those made by the american company, 'underarmour'. These shirts uniformly lead down to the wrist, but the veterans usually tore them off when they reach the begining of their triceps. Though, the noticeable pumps protruding from their chest was six centimeter thick kevlar padding. Both of the men's faces were marked with skowl looks as they faced the RSU Elite, but above these skowled faces were dark blue helmets, much thicker than that off other armies, the troops in the Yjamos wore pith-like helmets, the difference being that there were two layers. Four centimeters of hardened steel on the out, painted blue, and four millimeters of kevlar padding, mostly for the comfort of the soldier.

The Imperial soldier behind General Javar nervously felt the machine pistol concealed in the black overcoat of his uniform. This earned him a reproachful look from the more experience Tolvarus bodyguard. The younger guard was not the only one effected by the sudden display of hostility from the Cnians and RSU Elites, and although still calm, Javar himself glanced down to where he had a sai hidden in his right boot, and the weight of the inside pocket of his dress uniform was enough to assure him that his gun was indeed there. Remarkably, the calmest of the Tolvarus group was Monsignor Ives, who smiled slightly at the attempted intimidation of the two groups, even though he personally was unarmed.
Niles Gordon stood up proudly to address the people at the conference, though secretly he was in fear. He felt as if he was being watched by the barrels of their guns and not their eyes. He wondered whether he should say something, but decided against it as he looked across the impatient room of delegates. The Fiefdom had still not arrived, but he had sent them a telegram and had thought it best to start without them – as he had said before he did not want this process to drag out.
He darted a look at Mrs. Bourla Parkins, who sat tired and angry looking in her seat, flanked by a small army and a still stern looking General Claes. No wonder there wasn’t much peace in this peace conference.
He coughed loudly and prepared to speak “People of the room, I welcome you to the nation of Honako, and we apologize firstly for any inconvenience caused by this meeting” He smiled at the RSU man. The gesture was not returned. “This peace conference is purely looking at one thing – creating a ceasefire between us and our allies, the nations of Tolvarus, Aurum Domus, the RSU and Buddha C and the attacking forces upon our country comprising of the states of Oslea and Ezaltia.
Firstly, I would like to remind you of the background of these events. The Smokers Union was a organization formed shortly after our banning of all smoking in 1987, and to this day it has been the most feared terror faction, and only, in all of Honako, claiming the lives of 3500 Honakon Government Officials and nearly 800 citizens. We must make it clear, that before the ban our nation was on the brink of destruction due to poor health, and this was just one of the ways to stop that. 58% of all people in Honako smoked – now can you see why we stopped it? Civil rights were breached, but we feel only slightly, as it is not a basic human right to smoke, is it?
Many nations agreed with us and our stance, many disagreed but only one decided to take action. The nation of Oslea was determined to take matters into their own hands and declared there support for the Smokers Union and a vicious war on us – and our sovereignty. They had no right to attack us for policies in our country and no right to say what we can and cannot do and support terror. We had the conflict pretty under control, their attacks were limited and we took it upon ourselves to be rid of there troops from our land, and destroyed their attack base. Then, they considered this to be a sign to unleash anthrax our countrymen, a cowardly act of mass murder if I have ever seen one, and see dead thousands of civilians and men of us and our allies. It was only when the Fiefdom came in and Ezaltia started sending troops towards Liche that we called for these talks. And we shall now say the three things we want:
We do not care if our relations between our two countries remain unwelcoming Oslea, we are not going to forgive you for the attacks on our people, we just want all your troops to be withdrawn out of our country and away from our borders, for you to stop infringing our sovereignty by helping The Smokers Union, and to never see an Oslean again. Now please, say why you brought us to the conflict, tell us of your stance on all of this. But do not think we will stand down to The Smokers Union demands easily, we have kept them off our backs for 20 years”.
The allied nations delegates clapped as Niles finished his speech, and he awaited Osleas talk and what they would like to see for them to move their troops out of Honakon soil.
Malone stood up from his chair, adjusted his tie, and cleared his throat.
"The Federation does not believe in restriction of freedom, and these addicted citizens are not helped in the right way."
Of course, he didn't want to say the real reason why Oslea attacked. The nation was trying to protect its economy and its cigarette companies. Government-owned cigarette companies lost a huge amount of profit when the Honakon smoking market closed, and they asked the government for assistance. As is the nature of heavily capitalist companies, they decided to intervene.

General Goldsea stared deeply at Malone as he lied continously, such filth, killing innocents to protect economic interests, he had half a mind to wip out his custom AMP-1 machine pistol and open fire on him at that very moment.
The Party member muttered something which, judging from the expression on the face of the Commissar, was obviously a swear. Yuri contemplated on challenging the Oslean delegate, but he felt that was best left till later.
Malone stood up from his chair, adjusted his tie, and cleared his throat.
"The Federation does not believe in restriction of freedom, and these addicted citizens are not helped in the right way."

Niles Gordon was in shock. He had made a long speech, and Oslea had dismissed enough to speak just one line which was most likely lies anyway. Niles stood and spoke again:
"Is that all you have to say? Why hide behind the excuse of Honako's supposed infringement of human rights and freedom, you do not try to invade a country for that reason. You may as well speak the truth Oslea as we can all tell that statement was ridden with lies. Anyway, you agreed to come to these peace talks, we have told you what we want to come out of any ceasefire we have, will you just agree with them? Elaborate Mr. Attacker."
"Oh and please, any other delegates voice your feelings on all this, you have all been invited here as you were part of the conflict..."
Gordon sat down again and smiled at his allies. This was going to be easy... he hoped...
Yuri took this as an oppurtunity to pitch in. He stood up swiftly, almost knocking over the glass on his table, and spoke as slowly and as clearly as he could.
"So, delegate of the Oslea, you would have it to us that you invaded and bombed this country because of the freedom for its people?" He paused for a second, to let his words sink in. "So explain to us how supporting an insurgency which targetted an underground system, invading country and the use of the biological weapons was beneficial to freedom of the citizens? Are the 800 civilian casualties free? Are the wasted villages near the Anthrax exposure free? Face it, delegate of the Oslea. You speak the lies, and it is from people like you that my country revolted against. Be sure that we won't hesitate to do it again." He slowly sat down, making use of all the drama he had to built up.

Ives stood and addressed the Oslean Ambassador.
"Mr. Malone, while your devotion to the civil rights of all peoples is very noble, there are several things I would like to point out. Firstly, many countries, including my own, ban various dangerous drugs such as cocaine and marijuana, and it is a fairly widely accepted policy, even if all nations do not enforce it in their own countries. In the case of Honako, tobacco had become as dangerous if not more so than either of these previously mentioned drugs, and it was the government's duty to protect its citizens from the harmful effects of a drug that had taken over their entire country.
"Secondly, since smoking was so widespread and addictive in Honako, banning tobacco was no more an infringement of civil rights than outlawing murder, which is illegal in all civilized countries that I know of. The only difference in this case is that they were murdering themselves, and not other people."
Monsignor Ives nodded slightly towards Mr. Malone, bowed to Mr. Gordon, and then retook his seat next to an impressed General Javar.

Even as the delegates began to discuss the various issues at stake during the Smokers Union affair, a somewhat elderly Mi-17 Hip raced towards the conference in Jabero. Having no time to land at a conventional airport, the helicopter obtained permission to land in a car park as near to the building where the talks were taking place. Ahexotl Michin, the Fiefdom's foreign minister, ran like the wind before bursting into the main hall.
"Sorry I'm late," he wheezed, "But the pilot got lost. Ended up in Sweden, don't ask."
Collapsing in a chair, the Minister quietly asked an attendant for a brief catch-up of events that had been transpiring.
Waiting until Monsignor Ives, before rising to speak himself, though his face was still very red from the run.
"Mr Gordon, fellow delegates, I have two points to make at this time.
The first one is that, as I look around the room, I cannot help but notice the various security teams from the respective nations. I, as you may notice, have come alone.
Gentlemen, this is a peace conference, designed at the behest of the Fiefdom to prevent this conflict from escalating. It is therefore grossly unbefitting that armed men should be in the room. I ask, Mr Gordon, that as the man who is organising this conference that you kindly ask the nations seated in this room to kindly remove their protection forces. If they do not trust the Oppressed People's of Honako to protect them, then they have no place here. And if they are worried about an attack by the Smokers Union then prehaps they would be better placed in the adjoining hallway so that they may repel any such advance. A peace conference that is surrounded by guns never bodes well.
My second point is to reiterate the Fiefdom's position on the entire matter as a beginning point for discussions. We believe, quite frankly, that the Smokers Union are a pile of bastards. No one is very justified in using violence to achieve political goals, no one! That said, we have very grave concerns about the tobacco ban in place in Honako.
We've not hit any part of this land with biological weapons, nor as a country with a state-planned economy do we have much interest in expanding our markets here. But what you must realise, gentlemen, is that people have a right to smoke. Its not a very large right, but it exists nonetheless.
Monsignor Ives asked why tobacco should not be banned when other, equally harmful substances are prohibited? The answer, imperfect though it is, is that tobacco has the advantage of age.
Let us suppose, for the moment, that scientists discover a chemical that can easily been placed into drinks and that, in large quantities, can remove social inhibitions. A marvellous drug, if you will, that if you drink enough of it then you feel good, you feel free from the constraints that everyday society places around you. But you're motor functions and your reaction times suffer greatly, and if you drive then you may seriously injure or kill either an innocent road-user or yourself. Add to that the fact that you may consume enough of this drug to be violently ill, or just plain violent. People fight in the streets, vomit in their gardens and, if they become addicted, they quickly alienate all around them. In short, too much kills. Surely we can all agree that such a drug should be banned, if not for the social damage then for the undue strains it puts on the medical systems that treat all these people.
The drug I have been outlining, gentlemen, is alcohol. Now, I shall ask you again, should alcohol be banned? I doubt that few are brave enough to make such a move, and even fewer could keep it. They would be uproar, and America's experience with Prohibition would seem like a gentle stroll in the park. So why does alcohol escape the long arm of the legislator? Because it is as old as the hills, and has become such a part of society that it cannot be removed. Is that much of an excuse, that age can prevent logical and right-headed thinking? Not really, but it is the truth, and the truth is something that is as murky as an old pond.
Tobacco also falls into this category. Can we ban it? I don't think so, because like alcohol it is as old as the hills and a part of manner societies and cultures. People would not be plotting the violent overthrowal of this government were it not so.
After all, would a nation with a chronic alcohol problem ban beer? No, it must discourage, dissuade, educate and out-price people from their habits, but it could never ban it fully, it would never work. People demand a drink, and people demand a smoke. Though I agree that the Smokers Union should be quashed, I also think that the smoking ban in Honako should be repealed. You wouldn't ban the bottle, so don't ban the cigarette."
Nathan Caldwell stood, clearing his throat. "Of course we do not trust the Honakan protection. Would Churchill walk into Hitler's castle unarmed? Would Lincoln have visited Davis without protection? We are at war, Mr. Michin. You can come unarmed, if you wish; nobody here has any reason to harm you."
He then turned to the rest of the delegates seated around the table. "The reason we are here, gentlemen, is because of certain...incident....off the coast of Naasha. Caldonian vessels were stationed near Naasha, so the United Kingdom and several other nations, such as Ackistan and Buddha C, sent task forces to assist the small Naashan navy. After a Kroandan missile attack, Cnian ships fired upon our task force. We fought valiantly...but our two fleets annhilated each other."
He paused before continuing. "Nearly 7,000 families across Ezaltia recieved telegrams informing them that their sons, brothers, and husbands had been killed. We could not simply ignore this dastardly attack. When we heard that Buddha C was in conflict with Oslea, we knew the time for justice had come."
Niles Gordon glanced at the delegates armed security and was glad that someone agreed with him about the intimidating and unpeaceful nature of the armed forces. He gestured for everyone to only used concealed weapons, and hoped they would follow his orders...
Then he turned to the rather exchausted and late Ahexotl Michin and simply said "The health risk for too huge. Think of what it would of cost us to rehabilitate half the nation? Banning was the easiest option. The Unions actions have only strengthened our resolve to keep smoking banned, and until they are dismantled only then will be consider returning the right to smoke. We don't want them having that right. Oh, and Ezaltia, you are using this conflict against our country as a platform for revenge against another? Oh great."
The plane began it's decent into Hoanko onboard was a diplomat from Kanami, Misuzu Kamiya. She exited the terminal and was placed in an armored car and droven to Head Quarters we was going over the files of what happend, all over outlawing smoking. "Pathetic." Kanami was the same both Tobbacco and Alchol were outlawed in Kanami as well, made sense to defend them. And with all the hypocrites preaching soverignty, this should be intresting.
She walked up and was escorted into the main chambers of the confrence. "Sorry I'm late. My flight was delayed due to weather. All right who want's to bring me up to speed on what we are talking about right now. I'm willing to hear both sides, don't care which comes first."

The Unions actions have only strengthened our resolve to keep smoking banned, and until they are dismantled only then will be consider returning the right to smoke.
"Sir, your view is entirely reasonable. Why should you wish to remove the ban on smoking when a terrorist group holds your lands in their bloody grasp.
No, I agree with you fully. The Smokers Union must be stopped. I propose, therefore, a resolution of some kind. That the nations here-present agree that the Smokers Union should be disbanded, by means in concurrence with those of a modern, liberal democracy, and that, following this, honest discussions are held as to viability of the current tobacco regulations. I, for one, do not mind aiding Honako with the burden of increased healthcare provision if she were to repeal the ban on tobacco and allow people to make a reasoned choice.
And, gentlemen, I really must insist that if you wish to have security forces then they must wait outside. They may, if you wish, conduct a search for concealed weaponry if they desire and thusly content themselves of your personal safety. But, seriously, look at them,"
The minister pointed at the R.S.U. Elite Guards.
"How can we have an honest discussion with men in such intimidatory attire? Prehaps I should have brought a tank to the discussions, for all the brute symbolism that it would possess. No no, peace talk mean no guns."
The minister sat down at this pointed and waited for someone to answer Ms. Kamiya's questions. Despite 'holding forth', he had only just arrived himself and therefore couldn't really say what had occured.

Monsignor Ives motioned for the Tolvarus soldiers to leave the room. The older guard glanced at General Javar for confirmation, and he received a curt nod. Javar himself removed the Scorpion SA 361 from his inside coat pocket, and handed it over to one of the guards as he left the room. He retained his hidden sai, however, but no one knew about that, not even Ives. Javar was all for a peaceful solution to this problem, but he wasn't going to be completely unarmed when so much hostility was around them, and he had the monsignor's life to protect as well. Anyway, he thought, a sai would be just as deadly as a gun in an enclosed room such as this, and although he would only get one chance with the sai, one throw would be all he needed.
As the bodyguards left, Ives glanced around expectantly at the other diplomats, there really was no reason for the extra security with the Honakon security here, at least among the Honakon's allies.

General Golsea did the same, except he kept his AMP-1 in his jacket, he didn't trust these Osleans as far as he could throw them. After doing this he stood up and said,
"I do not see why we are even holding these talks, Oslea invaded a soveirgn (sp?) nation and killed many. In any other war no mercy would have been shown to a nation that would do something as horrific as using chemical weapons, I say we end these talks and give Oslea an ultimatum, if they do not withdraw in 24 hours the allied coalition will invade Oslea with chemical and biological weapons so they too can feel the pain fo many lost loved ones killed horrificly."
"Kanami would stand opposed to an invasion of Oslea. The leaders who did these atrocious acts must be brought to justice, absolutley but we must think of another method. An ultimatium threat does sound like a solid plan, but if war results we many not participate after comming out of our own war. We do wish to support Honako in any way possible though, economically, supplies what ever. "
Overwhelmed by the responses to his one-line statement, Vincent Malone decided to try to answer them all at once.
"We do not endorse senseless killing, but we also do not endorse restriction of freedoms. There are many things that kill you slowly; junk food, alcohol, maybe even using cellphones! Are these outlawed, though? No! Which makes me wonder why you choose to ban something such as cigarettes. You could instead educate citizens of the dangers instead of banning the substance!
You may have a distorted view of Oslea being endorsing smoking; this is not true. We educate our citizens and help rehabilitate them.
Now, for the issue of us supporting the Smokers Union.
The Smokers Union is NOT a terrorist faction in Oslean eyes. They are freedom fighters, fighting for rights. I myself enjoy a good smoke now and then, but do I look dead? Am I dying? Possibly, but the Oslean philosophy of life is to play with it, have fun with it, not stand at the side just staring into space, avoiding all risks.
As for the issue of the citizens killed by the Smoker's Union and our armed forces,
the Union and our army has been only trying to make a point. No one would listen to the Union's side of the story, and they had to do drastic acts like this. We believe that the victims' families should be compensated, however. There is a price for freedom, and unfortunately these Honakon citizens were the price.
And the ambassador of Aurum Domus, this is a PEACE TALK. We are not trying to escalate the conflict."
Malone knew that he couldn't dodge questions much longer. He felt like leaving the conference and sitting by himself and banging his head on a wall, but he knew he couldn't do that. Malone would just have to play this game of political survival as long as he could.

"You can't kill innocent peopel to make a point you monster, how would you like it if I said I wanted to make a point by killing 1000 or so of your citizens? You and the entire Oslean government should be persecuted for war crimes and human rights violations. If this doesn't happen, mark my words, before the end of this I will kill you and any other Oslean scum that dares to set foot on this soil."
"Smoking is hardly a right we think is worth protecting. Religion, Expression, safety, freedom from slavery, thoes are rights worth protecting. The fact about Junk Food it only takes a toll on your own body. But ciggarrets booze, drugs all have an effect on the people around them. Kanami is also a clean state with no Alchol or Tobbaco beverages for sale on the open markets. If you want to call these people so called freedom fighters when they are using violence to get what they want, then I think you seriously need to reconsider your Government, if you belive that killing a 1000 people in order to smoke and kill your self and everyone else around you is worth it, then you need to be brought up to trial."

"You would do well to watch your tongue when addressing those who could annihilate your entire nation in one fell swoop."
"Watch it, don't begin to assume that you are the only strong juggernaught. Defense is only comprised of 26% of your entire budget. We know nations that could elminate you faster."
Diplomat Malone opened his mouth in response to the replies to his statements, but for no reason, since he had no words to say. He sat back down. He knew he was beaten. He, nearly for sure, failed the Federation, at least in the diplomatic sense. Malone knew that there was a slight chance he could come up with a good retaliation reply, but the chances of that were slim. He sat in his seat, staring at the wall across from him.

Javar glanced around quickly. "Why are we even discussing how quickly we could destroy each other, or who is the strongest? This is supposed to be a Peace Conference, not a bragging match. Whoever won if the war continued would face terrible casualties regardless, and is fighting for revenge or for your tobacco industry's profits really worth it?"
Yuri quickly stood up.
"Delegate of the Fiefdom, may I remind you that the leader Administrator was shot after arriving? So, forgive us if we aren't being so 'trusting'." he snapped. Still standing up, he made a sharp inclination to the guards. They slowly walked out the room. He then drew a revolver, loaded it, and placed it on the table. Yuri didn't like concealed weapons. He continued.
"Delegate of the Fiefdom, you claim that cigarettes should not be banned because they are old? You compare it to alcohol, or over eating. But, delegate of the Fiefdom, you forget one thing." he paused, and took out a bottle of what looked like water but on closer inspection was actually pure vodka. He poured an amount into his glass, and sipped it.
"This alcohol. It is satisfying, but I don't feel completely compelled to drink more. You know why? Because alcohol taste naturally so good. Cigarettes no. They contain the Nicotine, a filfthy drug that makes the user addicted. Nicotine is new. When we first discovered cigarettes, no Nicotine. The moment someone tries that Nicotine, their judgement for whats best for them is gone. Some people are alcoholics. Some people are addicted to the junk food. But every person who has tried atleast three cigarettes..." he let his words sink in, before finishing. "Is a smokeaholic." He sat down.
Niles Gordon sat firmly in his seat listening to the discussions. They were getting heated, more on the subject of who could wipe out another persons nation first. Oslea looked batter, but this ally was still intent on throwing his weight around.
"Perhaps, if Oslea have nothing more to say they should focus what we asked them at the beginning. If we are to have a ceasefire, something which in the current state of things looks good not just for me but you also, you surely must have some conditions you would like to see in a peace treaty say?
If not, do you agree to ours - we just want all your troops to be withdrawn out of our country and away from our borders, for you to stop infringing our sovereignty by helping The Smokers Union and recognize them as terrorists, and to never see an Oslean again. Now please, say why you brought us to the conflict, tell us of your stance on all of this. But do not think we will stand down to The Smokers Union demands easily, we have kept them off our backs for 20 years."
He sat down and gave a sheet to an aide standing by him. The aide took it too Kanami - it contained all the background on the issue, from the forming and attacks of The Smokers Union, to the final day of war and the horrific anthrax attacks on the Honako people. Oslea didn't deserve this peace conference he thought after he reminded himself what they had done.

"Right, first off, I have a name , Ahexotl Michin, which I would kindly ask you to use.
Secondly, it is my understanding that you were attacked in the street and not in this building. That's not to excuse it, but it does place it in context. I, therefore, kindly ask Mr Gordon of Honako to remove that handgun. It has no place in this room. When I said there should be no weapons, I meant concealed and otherwise.
Thirdly, alcohol is addictive and if you refute that then I suggest that you pay a visit to your local Alcoholic Anonymous group and see the effects that this 'good tasting' drug possesses.
And, I'm sorry, but if you are honestly suggesting that a cigarette fundamentally takes away your free will then that is a statement so patently absurd that I'm afraid that I can't summon the energy to even challenge it, I'll let common sense do that.
And as for the conduct in this room, this is shameful. I wholeheartedly agree with Ms. Kamiya that any escalation of the conflict into at invasion of Oslea is fundamentally foolish. We are here to talk peace, gentlemen, not to plan for war. If you want to do that then may I suggest that you retire to a different venue.
No no, I (again) propose the Fiefdom's resolution that the Smokers Union should be disbanded by means available to a liberal democracy but that, in order to drain the swamps that have sustained this movement, the tobacco must be removed. Such a repeal of legislation, though, must be seen as a positive sign and not a surrender to terrorism. I certainly admire Kanami's position, but I am afraid that their's is a unique position and not the standard. the rest of us have to weigh the harmful effects of alcohol and tobacco with people's right to use them. I certainly don't believe that "killing a 1000 people in order to smoke and kill your self and everyone else around you is worth it", but only because murder is entirely wrong in this regard. But, whether you like it or not, people have the right to smoke in the same way that they have the right to throw themselves off bridges.
Oh, and Mr Yaroslav, if...you want....to make....dramatic...pauses..then may I suggest that you take up the acting profession."
OOC: I've just realised most of my posts have silly typos in them, sorry about that. We can take a short break now, just for one on one discussion between delegates if you want. When someone wants to start the meeting again just post that it's starting again.
Niles worried that Yuri was about to pick up that loaded gun and empty the bullets into Ahexotl Michin, so he said "We agree with the Michin that the idea of a loaded gun on the table in a peace conference is one that worries us. So, if you please" He pointed to the gun and nodded as a signal to remove it.
"Now, I think we should take a short break to cool down. I mean short, just wait outside in the lobby/ballroom. Perhaps it will give Oslea time to think of an actual excuse for this war and for them to consider my proposal of a ceasefire" He smiled subtly at himself.
The small group of delegates stood up, Mrs. Parkins, The High Comissioner Of Honako, walked over to Oslean delegate, and General Claes headed towards the man from Aurum Domus, probably looking to discuss some far-fetched plan on how to destroy all of Oslea.
The Smokers Union Meanwhile...
A shady security guard strolled around the lobby outside the meeting room. He was shuffling about impatiently but the men didn't seem to notice or care. Suddenly, the big doors of the Commission Debating Room swung open and delegates filtered out. He quickly made a dash for the toilets and closed the door firmly behind him.
He took out his mobile and hastily rang a number. It ringed numerous times before finally being answered.
"Hello? Who is this?"
"Lifer, it's Inside Man. The delegates have left the meeting room for a short break, shouldn't be more than an hour. How are the preparations going on?"
"Brilliantly. These men are no longer the useless bunch they used to be, they are freedom fighters! We outnumber the forces in the building hugely now, taking it should be easy. You've observed, when would be the best time to strike?"
"Today or tomorrow, night. All the delegates will be easy to find and security will be lower..."
"Exactly as I thought! I am a genius"
"Yes Lifer..."
"I'm out"
And the conversation stopped. Just in time, as it happened, as an angry looking Russian man flung the door to the toilet open.

How did you know I was thinking that? LOL.
IC: Claes I agree with your delegate, theres no reason we should be even having talks. I also agree with the terms, the Osleans should leave for good and quit helping the Smokers Union, its the only way were goignt o avoid war, but then again, Is that such a bad thing?
"People have the right to not have to breath in smoke Mr. Michin. If people as you say really have the right to smoke, then they can move. You say free will is not dictated by the cigarett, well if people resorte to terrorism and mass violence to be able to ease their nicoteene cravings than that hardly seems free will. And the way Kanami sees it if Honako decides they want to ban a trvial and very harmful product, they have a right to do so. They have a soverign right. There are far worse things they can do to their people other than uphold their health."
Misuzu stood and exited the room for the break.
Yuri walked briskly into the toilets, glaring at a security guard. He walked over to the sink and splashed water over his face, muttering colourful phrases. That Fiefdom bastard, he thought angrily. These Capitalists are all the same. They dodge the questions with their jokes. I should kill him where he stands. He quickly dispensed of the notion. Yuri knew that as soon as the Administrator had recovered, he would pay. The Administrator would destroy his arguments, ignore his attempts at humour and dispense his riducolous notions. Speaking of which, Yuri realised, he hadn't yet visited the Administrator since the encounter. Wiping his face, he marched quickly out the toilets and went to find his guards. Probably drinking, he thought bitterly.

Monsignor Ives pondered what Ahexotl Michin had said about repealing the ban on smoking in Honako.
"While I fully acknowledge that the decision to ban or allow smoking is up to Honako, I cannot help but feel that your government has an oppurtunity here. Since 20 years have passed, it is unlikely that any of the people are still truly addicted to smoking, except for those who smoke illegally, and in their case the ban doesn't really do much. Perhaps the government could repeal the smoking ban, but accompany it with a new tobacco awareness campaign. Since no one in Honako is really a "smokeholic" these campaigns should keep smoking to an acceptable level, and if there was a tobacco tax in place, the government of Honako could make a nice amount of profit, even taking into account any smoking awareness billboard, TV advertisements, etc.
"Regardless of whether you decide to do this or not, the Smokers' Union must be eradicated so it does not look like you are giving in to terrorists, and to save innocent lives. The conflict with Oslea and Ezaltia must also be resolved, but I think Mr. Michin made a good point, and that giving the people the right to smoke, accompanied by tobacco education programs, would be a good thing for this country, and a step forward progressively. However, I wish to assure you that whatever decision you make about smoking, Tolvarus will stand with you against the Smokers' Union and for the remainder of this conflict."

"Indeed, Monsignor Ives, we should never forget that the Smokers Union are terrorists that must be brought to justice regardless of whatever the outcome is of a possible repeal of this ban."
Michin didn't leave the room following the recess, but instead opened his briefcase and took out some sandwiches.
'Ummm,' he thought, 'Peanut Butter.'
Yuri eventually found the guards outside, making the Honakeon forces uneasy. He motioned for them to follow him. He then returned to the Hall and sought out Gordon Niles, the Honakeon representative.
"I wish to see the Administrator." he said hastily. "Where is he being treated?"
Niles turned to see the angry face of the RSU delegate staring at him and demanding something off him in broken English. It took him a while, but he understood; he wanted to find the administrator.
"Ah, he is being treated at the Commission Clinic. It's in a quiet corner of Jabero, where only government officials and other high up people in Honakon society are treated. It's of the upmost luxury" He was boasting happily about the place but realised that the RSU delegate was not interested, so he continued "It's about 15 minutes from here..I can give you a map and directions..but we're in the middle of a conference.."
Nathan Caldwell exited the bathroom, taking a long drink from a bottle of water. He pulled out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket and inserted one in his mouth. He paused, wondering if it was appropriate to smoke while discussing that very issue.
Yuri pondered.
"I was given explicit instructions by the Director to report any updates in the Conference to the Administrator." he replied, this time more slowly and clearly. "If I cannot speak to him, I wish to have a direct line with him."

Mrs. Bourla Parkins, High Commissioner of Honako, darted Mr. Caldwell, the obviously foolish delegate from Ezaltia, a severe look. She had noticed him hidden in the corner, cigarette in hand, preparing to light. She briskly walked over to him with a furious expression across her face. Behind her two security guards followed, and General Claes looked on at the situation - shocked as well.
Mrs. Parkins stopped in front of Caldwell and just before he lit the cigarette pulled it out of his mouth and threw it casually on the floor. He looked at her in awe and she calmly said "Whilst in our country you follow our laws, which, last time I checked, including an utter ban on smoking" She leaned in and whispered "Are you stupid? This whole conference is about our ban on smoking and yet you choose to rebel against it"

Niles Gordon sighed and gestured to a guard.
"Get me a phone" He whispered gently into the guards ear.
He walked off and emerged seconds later with a black glossy phone on a sliver tray.
"Now thats service" Niles said, and dailed a number on the phone. After a minute of so of talking, he passed the receiver to Yuri "He'll be on in a second. I'll leave you too it" And Mr. Gordon walked off.
Yuri inclined his head to guard, before taking the phone to his ear. What followed was a fast paced conversation in Russian, which made Yuri sound as if he was shouting. Yuri listened intently, before finally hanging up the phone. He pulled a small notepad from his pocket, and hurriedly wrote down various bullet points. He pocketed the notes, made a sharp nod to Niles which slightly resembled a "Thank you" before going back to his seat. The Guards marched out of the room, Koloshnikovs at their hips. He poured a shot of vodka, downed it, then waited for the meeting to commence.

Taking out his pipe, and filling with a ready rubbed blend of his own design, he quickly filled the room with the heavy smoke and smell that only a pipe can ever produce.

"Mr Niles Gordon of Honako, the Federation has instructed me to state the conditions that a ceasefire is allowed to exist under. I have received these instructions from the Prime Minister himself, with the approval of the Grand General of the army and the various Supreme Generals of the Oslean military. I will have you know the Federation will settle for nothing less.
One, the smoking ban must be relaxed to allow citizens to smoke five cigarettes a week maximum, and we also ask that opinions and criticism toward the ban be allowed to be voiced. We also request laws be changed to allow the ban to be uplifted should there be enough support.
Two, the Oslean pilot in Honakon custody will be released to Oslean authorities. This pilot has not reported to us and it is almost certain that he is in your possession.
Three, A public vote on the matter of the smokngi ban will be held, and if there is enough support for it to be removed, the ban will be rendered ineffective.
As long as existing Honakon conditions to a ceasefire do not contradict these statements the Oslean Federation will accept them."
Malone sat down. He knew that if he asked for too much, a ceasefire would not be possible, and there was slim chance that this would be accepted by the Honakon government.

Michin was so engrossed with his crossword that he nearly missed the beginning of the Oslea’s delegate’s statement. After he had finished, the Foreign Ministry rose to his feet.
“With all due respect, Mr Malone, you are not in a position to dictate terms. This is a conference whereby we ALL discuss those terms that would be acceptable to ALL parties. Whatever decision we eventually arrive at will be recognised by your Government, lest you have a burning desire to see your expeditionary force outside Honako’s border converted to a rather attractive shade of burnt metal.
No, I suggest that we all listen to Oslea’s recommendations for an eventual peace, but treat them as such. No here is making ultimatums.
Niles got up and glanced around the room.
"We have no plans to change any of our Smoking laws. Five cigarettes a week? Be serious. Nicotine is addictive - no one will be able to limit themselves to that so easily. It's a foolish suggestion. We have tried to offer and create cigarettes not containing the drug, but they have not gone done well...
The pilot is in our hands, and you may have him. But your terms that your leader 'demands' about the Smoking Ban will not even be considered until there is no Smokers Union. We don't see the need to abolish the ban as we feel that it, apart from the creation of the SU, has done nothing but good for the health of our country
And finally, we will hold the vote, but I can garentee that the people will support us - the Smokers Union is one of the most hated organizations in Honako. And even if it comes out against the ban, as said before, will we not consider lifting it until we know of the complete removal of the SU"
Yuri looked down at his notes and up at Malone, shaking his head. He quickly stood up.
"I find those terms completely unreasonable. Oslea is guilty of supporting a terrorist faction and invading a country, under the guise of 'protecting freedom'. They have no right to impeach on the government of the Honako. The R.S.U. reccomends to the fellow delegates that not only should the calls for a relaxation of the ban be ignored, but also a charge against the Oslea for their crimes which include biological warfare and terrorism." He slowly sat down, and then continued to write more notes.

I agree, these terms are completely unreasonable. We need to come up with our own terms. If Oslea can't agree to what we want then these talks should stop.

"Be reasonable. You have to make concessions to have peace."
Malone knew he hit another nerve with his previous statement. Although he was told that these were the conditions of a ceasefire, and nothing else, he knew that coming back to Oslea at least having done a little bit is better than coming home having done nothing, and having a war still raging on. The Oslean government might still prefer war, he didn't know, but Malone was a man of peace, and wanted a ceasefire. He knew that the Federation at least wanted some progress, even if it was a little, and not exactly as much as the Federation wanted.
Malone instantly changed his attitude into a more cooperative one.
"All right. I will take back the previous statements save for the release of the pilot, but the Federation wants at least some degree of smoking freedom, as that is why we declared war in the first place, to loosen up the ban. Of course, the Federation is willing to provide funding for rehab programs and anti-smoking programs as soon as the ban is loosened.
Now, I would just like to ask you what kind of degree of smoking freedom your country will accept, Mr. Niles Gordon. I agree that we have to work together to solve this out, but each side has to recieve something."

Frankly, I think you don't deserve anything, you invade a sovereign country, kill many and then demand they change their laws. If this had happened in my country your head would be on a pike in the High General's garden.
"Be thankful that the Oslean Generals did not have their way in this matter and decided to allow a chance for this conflict to be solved within this conference.
I'll have you know that the Prime Minister actually cares about lives, and decided to send an ambassador to this conference. Had he declined many more people would have died under the crossfire of these many countries' armies.
Remember that we can request to change Honako's laws in this conference or do it forcefully under the Oslean army. We decided to pick the first choice. For all you know, if this conflict was still going on, you could be staring down the MP5 barrel of a Ranger Splinter Cell agent. The very same agents that took the lives of two Honakon defence commissioners. You're fortunate you're not."
Yuri quickly stood up.
"You'd do well to watch your speak, delegate of the Oslea! You are in no position to threaten us or dictate terms!" he said sharply. "Stop hiding behind your guise of 'freedom for the people'. You Capitalists are all the same. Money is more important to you than any other thing, including the lives of the people! If you invade country, bomb it with the biological weapons, and leave with no changes yourself and the laws changed in the invaded country then you are stupid.
As I have previously said, I demand that the Oslea be charged for it's crimes. I suggest it pays back Honako for all the damage it has done, aswell as compensates all affected Honakeon families. Since it is able to invade country over 'freedom' I think it has enough money." He sat down, downed another shot of vodka, and continued to make notes.
Mr Niles Gordon stood up proudly and said "Mr. Malone, I do not understand your request to 'loosen' the ban. What do you want me too do, allow them to inhale smoke but not actually smoke it? Follow your strange idea of five cigarettes a week when it will get them addicted? Personally, the only thing I can do really that would fully comply to what you want is to make smoking legal again.
And then you say you'll create rehab centres and anti-smoking programs - then what is the point of even allowing them to smoke again if they are forever told it is wrong? Honako's people have got on fine without smoking until your foreign attack"
OOC: I've nearly finished writing up the Smokers Union attack, should be up today.
Niles Gordon glanced at his watch and was shocked. Time had passed quickly, it was 12:30am and the meeting was meant to of ended an hour ago. He stood up and said:
"I think it's time to stop talks for now. Please go back to your suites and enjoy your night. Discussions will resume at 10am tomorrow morning. We hope we can reach a solution by the end of tomorrow - we seem to be getting close"
And with that message, the delegates slowly filed out of the room...
OOC: Basically all the ambassadors are now heading to the upstairs meeting room whilst the security guards fight the SU's forces. You can RP your security fighting and killing some of the Smokers Union men, as I will (they will shoot them as they try to emerge from the now gaping hole created by the bomb in the courtyard; feel free to join my attack) though they will fail in stopping them, and the SU will hold people hostage..enjoy..

Deputy High Commissioners Suite, Commission HQ
Niles Gordon shuffled through his papers and sighed. It had been a long day of talks which he felt had defiantly gone his way, though nothing much had come out of them. He hoped to get a conclusion on all of this tomorrow – as it hated things that dragged on.
He was sitting in his office in the Western side of the massive Commission building, only a few steps from the high level (viewing point) of the Garden Courtyard. He was currently in a messy room, full of diplomatic images and to his left was a pristine bathroom and to his right a well decorated bedroom. Outside stood three guards, heavily armed.
High Commissioners Suite, Commission HQ
Mrs. Bourla Parkins had not taken part in the relations much today, though would be leading the session tomorrow. She was dreading it. She despised all of them, all the smug diplomats these silly democratic nations sent. All smartly dressed and well spoken, they hid the truth with there well trained political tongues. Once they’d won, she’d make sure that she’d never have to be in a room with them again.
She was resting in a large armchair in her beautiful suite in the Eastern part of the Commission HQ. It had seven furnished rooms, despite only being used by her about five times a year, and outside stood seven armed guards. All the allied diplomats were in well furnished rooms close to hers, though their suites comprised of only three rooms. The hostile forces where in the Susian suite to the North, closest to the large meeting room upstairs. One problem with her location though was that it was a fair distance from the Garden Courtyard…
In The Sewers Of Jabero...
Lifer ran quietly through the clean sewers. He didn’t like it here, the Honakon Commission had cleaned it up for their guards – he liked the murkiness of the Liche sewers. All the previous guards now lay limp and dead on the floor and The Smokers Union men were equipped with masks, not to mention an array of weapons. Lifer smiled as he reached the site right under the Garden Courtyard, and saw the piles of C4 growing underneath. 360 men on their 145 (including delegate’s forces). They did not stand a chance.
The Garden Courtyard, Commission HQ, 01:50am
The night watchman, Jerome Places paced around the higher level of the Garden Courtyard. He carried his gun limply in his hand, a heavy AK-86, and walked slowly as if he was wading through water due to his heavy armor. It was around 1:50am, and everyone in the building was asleep to his knowledge, bar the 45 armed guards on Nighttime duty. He paused for a second and looked over the Gardens. They were immensely striking he thought, covered in colorful plants which leeched onto the old statues of famous dignitaries and tall trees, which had blossoming flowers on their branches and peered over the courtyard. This is the life…
In a split second the whole conference changed. The whole building shook and ambassadors where woken, if not thrown out of there beds by the force. A massive explosion erupted upwards from the Gardens, sprouting a huge fireball that went 50 feet in the air. The whole mass of gardens and stunning décor was destroyed instantly, and the five guards on duty on the floor of the Gardens engulfed in the flames. Jerome was flung against the wall and knocked unconscious…
A message wailed across the loudspeaker connected to all the rooms in the huge Commission HQ “We are under attack. All security forces to report to the Garden Courtyard. I repeat all security forces to report to the Garden Courtyard. We must defend. All delegates for the peace conference and government officials please head towards the Commission Hall on the northern part of the upper floor – immediately. I repeat – WE ARE UNDER ATTACK”

"Men, get ready, what I've dreaded has happened, I'm going to neutralize the target you go help the Honkaoans."
The General picked up his AMP-1 and made his way toward the room he knew Malone was staying in. He kicked down the door and came face to face with Malone, he was alone, his guards must have already joined the fighting.
"Traitor!!" He yelled at Malone,"You helped them do this and now your going to pay for it. The General took aim briefly at the stunned Malone and fired a full magazine into him, he crumpled. Satisfied, the General reloaded and extended the stock on the rifle, He ran through the door to join the fighting.

OOC: You realize that this just destroyed any possible chance of Oslea and I backing off, right?
"Smoking is not a human right, therefore it is not a human right law. Honako should have the liberty to continue the smoking ban in their nation, just as we have the right to contiune the ban in our country. Oslea however has comitted far more serious crimes if what you all say is true. The use of weapons of mass distruction in the name of a political privladge that holds no serious weight, then Oslea should be the one to stand for War Crimes."

Very quickly after the beginning of the Smokers' Unions attacks, the 10 Tolvarus security guards had gone to the Garden Courtyard to rendezvous with the other security forces.
Sergeant Farrel lead his nine men down the hallway to the courtyard. "Alright men, all we have to do is hold out a while. Honako has thousands of troops in the city, and we ourselves have over 600 at the embassy. We just need to protect the ambassador for a little bit and everything will be fine"
Unfortunately, everything was not fine, as Smokers' Union thugs ambushed the Tolvarus troops on their way to the courtyard. The men fought bravely, and killed almost a dozen men, with only machine pistols, they didn't really have a chance. Within two minutes, all ten men were dead.
"All men, head to the courtyard!"
"Someone see if the Delegate is OK!" Another escort said.
--
Courtyard
"Mr. Malone, sir? Are you all right?" The escort said into his radio. Since the escorts were separated from Malone, the ambassador and the escorts outside the door had to carry radios along with them to stay in contact.
The escorts in the room had been called off to fight in the Courtyard and didn't carry radios with them.
"Someone go check up on him!"
--
Commission HQ, 2:07 am
Two escorts headed into the Commission HQ, where Malone was staying for the night. They walked in the room, since the door was already open.
"What the hell..."
They were met with the sight of a body penetrated with bullet holes all over. They could only assume one thing: It was Malone.
The two escorts discussed within themselves on who killed Malone.
"What.... They can't already be here! Those.. guys.. whoever they are... they're fighting in the courtyard still! It must be someone within the building!"
"Everyone's unarmed..."
"Probably an ambassador who did it.. though I can't tell which ones had weapons... if any of them had weapons. None of us were inside the conference..."
---
Courtyard
"That's M16 fire!" one Oslean firing at the unknown intruders noticed, since he could tell the distinct sound an M-16 firing made. The 12 escorts were taking up cover behind various plants, and maintained radio contact with each other. The Osleans didn't know that their ally, the Smokers Union, had conducted the attack. If they had knew they would have ceased fire, but it was just too dark to tell.
<This is Robbins. Malone is dead. I can't feel a pulse.>
"WHAT!? The intruders are still here in the courtyard! They can't be in the building already!"
<That's what we thought. Could be one of the delegates.>
"They're all unarmed though!"
"Shut up and keep shooting! Someone get the sattelite phone from inside!"
"Get Robbins to do it, and tell him to call for extraction from Oslea. And tell him to get support while he's at it. Also, get him to check up on the delegates. I don't care what that damn speaker system says."
--
Following orders, Robbins and the other escort ran to the Conference hall, with M-16s slung around their backs. They knew that they might have been perceived as enemies, since they were the only ones with weapons heading to the hall, but he was under orders from his Commanding Officer. Whoever did this, would get a huge retaliation from all three branches of the military.
They had no intention to check the delegates for weapons, they were just going to ask who had weapons at the conference. Since they were political delegates it was unlikely for them to have weapons, but they had to treat everyone as a suspect. Hell, it could have been Bourla Parkins.
OOC: You realize that this just destroyed any possible chance of Oslea and I backing off, right?
OOC: If you think that, it was only to make things a bit more interesting. I allowed Domus to do it, but Honako played no part.
IC:
Honakon and other security forces where firing down at the courtyard. Out of the huge gaping hole the Smokers Union had blown up came hundreds of them, heavily armed (with weapons Oslea provided most likely) and with no fear. 45 armed guards fired down on them, picking them off one by one, but there was no hope. There was hundreds of them rising out of the sewers and upon surfacing they were throwing grenades and firing weapons at the Upper Level, killing a couple of guards each time. All the men could do was kill as many as they could before they killed them...
In The Grand Hall
Mrs. Bourla Parkins stared blankly at the wall whilst everyoine rushed around her. They had over 40 armed guards in the room, and no doubt thousands would be outside in a few hours. But the Smokers Union where penerating the building, and once they did that with the 'hundreds' that were meant to be coming it would be likely they could reach the hall within 5 minutes. They'd put up a stiff resistance - but she felt like it could be a hostage situation.
All the delegates ran around the hall, paled faced, tired and stiff. Some where flanked by a small army, others looked like they'd just killed someone. It was a mess - what would happen of the peace talks now?
Niles Gordon walked up to her and smiled briefly, before leaning in and whispering "We're safe. Though...the Oslean delegate is dead"
Suddenly the door burst open of the room and two armed men burst in and shouted "Who killed him? Who killed Malone?"
And with that piece of news, she fainted.
OOC Sorry i'm late, wasn't able to get on much yesterday.
IC Yuri paced frantically, uniform torn and hair ruffled. Several of the Elite Guards flanked him, the rest where setting up a perimeter. It all happened so quickly. The explosion. The gunfire. With all this chaos, Yuri had atleast one thing to be thankful of. The Administrator was still in hospital.
Better me than him, he thought. He had his revolver in hand, though he had yet to fire a single round. Just as he thought this negotiation couldn't get any worse, it happened. Two soldiers had burst in, declaring that a delegate had died and one of the other delegates killed him. Mr Malone, Yuri remembered, was the Oslean delegate. Stupidly not deciding to holster his revolver, he motioned for his Guards and walked closer to the commotion.
If the terrorists don't get us the Osleans will, he realised.
Lifer cruely smiled as he threw a grenade in air, and watched it land right on the upper level, seriously wounding two guards. He was flanked by over 180 men that had made it and hid behind defensive fire as about 40 Unionists began to destroy the 15 strong guard that defended the Commission Building HQ. The attacks at them from the upper level were weakening, about 25 of the Honakon defence were out of action (wounded or killed) and it would be minutes before they entered the building. He knew what he wanted, and where who he wanted would be. By this time tomorrow he'd be lighting a cigar beside the lakes of Honako he thought...
He heard a deafening explosion and the cheers of men. They'd broken the defences. They were entering the building.
Commission Hall/Meeting Room Upstairs
There was a quiet standstill. Niles Gordon and a few other government officials nursed a weak Mrs. Parkins, and fourty members of the Honakon Guard turned to wait for the Osleans to speak, weapons raised and ready to protect Honako and their allies from any attacks.
Meanwhile, General Claes, Head Commissioner of Honako's Military stood behind all the commotion, and glanced over at the Aurum Domus delegate. He nodded subtly at him as he was near certain it was them that had murder Malone.

The 10 Aurum Doman Special Forces troops breathed heavily as they cowered behind a barrier with their AK-103's. The building had been breached and they had gotten in right before. Each of them has killed several terroists but it seemed like there was an endless wave of them. A beep sounded from the Commanders radio.
"Yes sir?"
"Abandon your positions, come back and defend the entrances to the Conference Room, we're being overrun, we need to regroup."
Nathan Caldwell only sent one guard to join the fighting, while the other stayed by him to call for reinforcements. "This is Specs. We need backup NOW! Get here ASAP!"
The SAS platoon by Caldwell's plane sprang into action, strapping on body armor and readying their weapons. Within a minute, their four T-101 APCs were on the way, speeding towards the hotel.

General Goldsea picked up a satellite phone and called CENTCOM. He ordered 30 Spec. Ops Agents to reinforce the 10 already in the battle. Five minutes after, 30 soldiers in full gear sprinted onto the tarmac at the base and jumped in the 3 waiting helicopters and with a roar they were off.
Meanwhile, 2 snipers took up position on a rooftop overlooking the courtyard and began picking off the terrorists. On a balcony below, a PKM machine gun was setup and began firing upon the terrorists. It was guarded by 2 other agents with AK-103's that had GP-30 grenade launchers
OOC: I'd just like to say that you can't just send troops into the building and 'kill all the terrorists' if any of you have plans to do so. Robbins and Morrison just looked at the RSU delegate, who had a revolver in his hand.
"Sir, hand over your revolver and all your revolver ammunition please. We just want it for examination," Robbins said to the RSU delegate. Robbins was actually pretty surprised that a delegate was carrying a weapon; he always viewed politicians as wimpy non-gun toting people.
Morrison addressed the inhabitants of the room with their intentions.
"We are Oslean escorts of Vincent Malone, as you may know. Since he is dead, and the invading forces had not yet entered the part of the building where Malone was staying when he was killed, the assassin must be within this building, according to basic logic."
"Us two will have to search you for weapons and items of any kind. We won't do anything too intrusive, just a pat down. We know there's only two of us here, so this might take a long time. However, failure to comply will have you arrested and possibly charged. We already know that the guards in here have weapons, and we will simply search their ammo supply, and to see if any bullets had been fired from their gun."
Since Robbins was busy with the RSU delegate, Morrisson decided to search the delegates and others first. The Aurum Doman delegate looked kind of shady, but Morrison just thought that hunch was only his instinct, and ignored it. He decided to check Niles Gordon, followed by Bourla Parkins, the Aurum Doman delegate, the Ezaltian delegate, the Kanami delegate, and the Noelian delegate, in that order. Robbins already had the RSU delegate, and when he was done with him, he'd search all the guards.
The 12 Oslean escorts in the courtyard were actually still there, even as the Smokers Union troops broke the defenses outside. 6 were dead, 4 were injured but were faking death, and the remaining two, which were only privates, were hiding in the plants, trying not to make a sound. They didn't speak a word to each other. They still didn't know that it was the Smokers Union who conducted the attack. The ones still alive knew there was a high chance that they'd be found and killed, or at least taken hostage.

After finishing the calls to CENTCOM and the High General, General Goldsea was about to emerge from the communication room when he thoguht o something. He pulled his weapon out of his jacket and walked over to an air vent. in a few moments he had unscrewed it and then tossed his weapon in, there was a loud clank and the General returned to the meeting room.
"Shoot!" Misuzu was startled by gun fire, the meeting went to hell obviously. She pulled out a hand gun that she kept concealed. All diplomats did. However she was at no authority to use it unless she was in immediate danger, she couldn't hunt people down unless they came to her. She needed to get to a safe place and fast, and hope everyone else would as well. She ran madly down the halls peering around every corner
Niles Gordon watched as the armed man advanced towards him. He knew he was innocent and did not appreciate being a prime suspect when there were 100's of terrorists in the building. He could hear gunfire in the building now, the screams of men and the noise of footsteps clambering up staircases. Within minutes hundreds of terrorists could be standing outside the doorways of where they where, he did not have time for investigation.
"I do not have time for this silly invasion of my privacy, our leader is weak and has fainted on the floor, and soon we could be in a hostage situation. If you want to sort out this so called murder, can it not wait? How am I supposed to know this man even was murdered? He could have killed himself due to his obvious failings in the diplomatic talks earlier. Or maybe he was a traitor?” Niles knew this was an absurd suggestion but he was stressed and angry so he blurted it out “We have a disaster going on here; your searches will have to wait. If the other delegates wish to be searched they can be...but removing weapons at this time would be foolish"
The man still advanced but now was blocked by around ten armed Honakon guards.
"Later. I will not be searched yet..." He was interrupted by a loud explosion. It was loud and clear, the attackers were approaching where they were located fast.
In The Hallways of the Commission HQ…
Bullets bounced off the walls as men ran rapidly around the small and beautiful hallways of the Commission HQ. They were not so attractive now though, the paintings had been smashed with gunfire, the walls that had seen so many historic people walk past them were battered and bruised and stained with blood, and the statues of noblemen lay cracked and broken on the hard cold floors.
Lifer ran down the corridor in the Eastern wing of the building and saw the door to Niles Gordon suite. Flanked by five men who were shooting madly at a couple of Aurum Domus security guards further down the corridor, he bashed in the door to the array of rooms. Expected to be greeted with the sigh of a cowering Mr. Gordon, he was shocked to see that the rooms looked like they had been abandoned in a hurry. He cursed angrily and shouted down his radio:
“He’s not here? Have you got Mrs. Parkins?”
There was a pause and he could hear heavy gunfire in the background “No. She wasn’t there either…” The noise of bullets flowing out of an automatic gun was heard “Sorry…I think she may be in the Meeting Hall, were trying to reach there, there must be 30, 40 guards around it. They must be there…” The radio cut off.
He pushed his way through the five men who had accompanied him and somehow dodged the enemy gunfire. He was on the way to meet Mrs. Parkins.
-------------------
Meanwhile outside men gathered not knowing what was going to happen. Fat and tired looking Generals spat out orders to the 1000+ troops that waited outside the Commission building, and soon around 200 more Tolvarus men would arrive to assist. Covert Teams prepared for attack and plans were drawn up, though no one knew what would happen and would have to wait and see if they could actually enter the building or a hostage situation would arise…
OOC: This RP's a bit rushed cause I couldn't be bothered, so sorry about a lack of detail/general goodness. ;)
An Elite Guard stepped infront of Yuri.
"You will not disarm our delegate during a firefight." he stated. The others now had their guns crooked in their arms, as if expecting to use them. Yuri had serious doubts about this. How can we repel the terroists if we don't even trust each other, he almost muttered. He held the revolver by his head.
"You can conduct your investigation after the safety of us. Now, we must fight." he said, before walking past the Oslean. Yuri knew what would happen if they were taken hostage. The R.S.U. would not pay a randsom. He would die first before being used as a pawn by self-centered fanatics.

Javar and Ives are at the meeting/conference room with the other delegates, Javar has his Scorpion Machine Pistol and sai; Ives is unarmed. Just thought I'd let you know in case Oslea was going to check.
Morrison and Robbins decided that after the various comments, they decided not to search the delegates for weapons. Yet. Robbins decided to contact the guards in the courtyard.
"You there? I repeat, are you there? Please respond!" Robbins became frustrated. "Dang... Call the airport group, tell em to call reinforcements if they didn't get the request yet."
--
<Air Force 10! Please respond!>
"Yo. Air Force 10 here. Wassup?"
<Our escort detachment is down! Can you see how long it takes to get reinforcements from Oslea?>
"Dude.. That takes like, a day!"
<We never know how long we're gonna be here...
"Alright. I'll call for reinforcements. G'luck in there."

"Request recieved, Air Force 10. We will send over 10 Apaches and a unit of Rangers, and a few Bradley IFVs, with a few Abrams tanks. It'll take about 32 hours, or something like that. We hope they'll hold up in there. Now, we just need permission from Honako..."
<Screw that. Go insert them covertly or somethin'. Those Honakons won't let an Oslean military thing land... They hate us. Also, I think those Smokers Union guys have us lumped in with the crowd... They're still our allies, but they mistook us for the other guys.>
"Alright. We'll only send in Splinter Cell Rangers. We can't let the Smokers Union know we killed some of their people on purpose. This should take about... 12 hours."
---
Amber Crown Air Force Base, Military Equipment Room
"Men, Listen up! Before you gear up, I want to address the troop organization!"
"We are going in urban covert formations! That is, a fireteam of 4, with one sniper, 1 HK-MP5 gunner, one M29 gunner, and one HK MP5 gunner with an MBT LAW. There will be 6 fireteams. Now gear up and good luck!"
---
When Robbins got word of the Splinter Cell Rangers coming to assist them, he balked at the 12 hour response time. "We'd be dead by then!" He thought. Then again, it was only reasonable, since Oslea wasn't exactly beside Honako.
Yuri quickly retreated back to the furthest reaches of the hall. He pulled out his communications device, disguised as a tape recorder, and connected to the Air Convoy that had arrived with the Elite Guards. He placed his revolver a chair.
"Yaroslav to Convoy, is comlink established?"
"Affirmative. Comlink is stable. Confirm identity." came the glitchy reply.
"Yaroslav, 1 of 100A, High Commissar of the People's Armed Forces."
"Confirmed. State message."
"Situation is Red, hostiles are invading the Zone. Requesting immediate Evac."
"Understood. PK will assist. Requesting reinfrocements from Directory."
"Affirmative. Terminating link." Yuri pocketed the device and picked up his revolver, checking for any problems. He knew that the Peace Keepers were no match for armed terrorists, and it would take a day for reinforcements to arrive. He didn't plan on waiting. Better to go down fighting then to go down wearing a blindfold while being recorded.
OOC: RSU why are you sending reinforcements without Honako's consent. I can understand Oslea doing so, as we are enemies, and they will be dealt with, but do you not trust my military? ;) IC post later.

The General pulled one of his guards aside and whispered into his ear, "I have an important job for you, go in the com room and open the vent, inside is my AMP-1, you know what it looks like, all hell is gonna break loose soon and I'll need it, I'll go down fighting if need be, now hurry the terrorists get closer every minute."
OOC: RSU why are you sending reinforcements without Honako's consent. I can understand Oslea doing so, as we are enemies, and they will be dealt with, but do you not trust my military? ;) IC post later.
OOC: Mine is a very secular and distrusting country : P Besides, i'm also judging that considering one of the delegates murdered another delegate and terrorists are blowing the Conference to splinters that there wasn't exactly going to be much of a ceasefire left. The reinforcements are both an extraction force for the Administrator and (if he survives) Yuri, aswell as a bolster for your own forces.

OOC: My General only murdered Malone in self defense, he thought that the Osleans had helped The Smoker's Union gain entrance and he never liked Malone, I doubt he will be missed anyway and with the complete overrun imminent I also doubt that anyone will figure out exactly who killed Malone. Also, my delegate would like to inquire if there's another way out of the building, he doesn't intend to die fighting.

OOC: Their only important person inside the building is dead, so it probably has to be someone else.
Ives could die if you want, Honako, but if you do, keep in mind that he is a peaceful man, so they'll have to kill him in cold blood because he's not going to do anything to offend or attack them, so it might not work out so well. Javar might, but I want him to survive.
Amber Crown Airforce Base, Oslea,11 hours till covert drop
"How's the C-130 going? Almost ready?" an officer asked a maintenance crew member.
"Yeah... Looks okay. We just gotta fill it up then it's ready to go. One of the Hydras has a messed up engine... It'll take us two hours to fix it."
--
Amber Crown Pilot Briefing Room, Oslea
A man was standing beside a projector, which was displaying a map of Honako. The Oslean flag was displayed beside the projection screen. Twelve Hydra pilots were in the room, waiting for the briefing to begin.
"Okay, this will just be a simple escort mission. Three wings of 4 jets each, for a total of 12, will escort the C-130 with the Rangers inside it. They will parachute down from the C-130 and then will conduct their mission. We aren't expecting heavy resistance; but since they won't know that we're coming they might attack us. Each plane will carry 3 Air-to-Ground missiles and 3 Air-to-Air missiles. Be prepared for anything. The mission will start at around 11 to 9 hours from now, or whenever the forces become combat-ready. Good luck."
---
The Splinter Cell Rangers were still gearing up, and were going to warm themselves up with a target practice session out in the airfield, when an officer came into the room and flicked the lights on and off to get their attention.
"Command has a change of plans for you. They want one fireteam to head to the site of our delegate's body, and they want a designated forensics and inspection expert to examine the body and retrieve a bullet from the body. Then they will take a picture of it and send it back to command, who will then identify the bullet."
"Once we identify the bullet we will be able to determine the killer of our delegate. All fireteams will attempt to arrest this person or persons and bring him or her outside of the combat zone, and then wait for extraction from our airport team already on the ground."
"This is your first objective. By the time we get there the body's either gonna be gone or will be rotting, though I'm no forensics expert. You'll be told the location of the Oslean delegate's body aboard the C-130."
Misuzu ran through the maze of halls. Every other person she came across was dead. She managed to set off a distress beacon. Kanami forces would be abel to pick her up. It would be unlikely anyone else could be, unfortunatley, but she was sure their own forces would pick them up.
A Black Hawk helicopter roard off from an air fieled. "Okay remember this is a rescue mission! Watch your sides!" It would be a while before they could reach her. Misuzu would have to be their only priority, others would likely pick up their respected diplomats. They we're hoping this wouldn't be a body recovery mission.
----
Misuzu had to find a way to the roof. Several shots fired at her she fell to the floor and started shooting back. She ran she had no clue who was shooting at her, terrorists, or freindly fire? She didn't want to find out.

General Goldsea was on his way tothe frontline when he thought of something, he quickly made his way to the room where Malone's body was and walked up to the guard. "They want everyone in the main room, we need as many men as possible." The guard ran the opposite direction and the General snuck in. He pulled the white sheet off of Malone's body and go to work. He slowly tweezed out each bullet, doing his best to not damage the flesh around it. After awhile, the task was complete and he slipped out the door.
[ooc: You have one smart, procrastinating General, Aurum Domus o_O]
Amber Crown Airforce Base, Oslea
Surprisingly all the Splinter Cell Rangers were already geared up and ready to go. The only thing stopping them was the required maintenance checks before each non-urgent flight and the fueling up of the planes, which took around two hours. The Generals who planned the airdrop had forgotten there were already some Rangers on base ready to take Honako's capital before the Peace Conference (if you could call it that) and were already assembled, and just needed to gear up. It was now only an estimated two hours from takeoff, a drastic decrease from the original 12 that was envisioned. The assembling of the personnel took the longest, and maintenance checks and fueling up didn't take very long.
Orlov Island, New Hope
Commissar Dimitri Orlov sat boredly, sipping from a glass of vodka. Every few minutes a member of staff would come in, ask him some trivilous question, then hurry off. Orlov Island had been a relatively new conquer. It only had a small government, who was so totalitarian that if anyone who was found next to the Orlov Channel was shot on sight. It was a simple task to uproot the government, and spread the word of Marx.
But now came the boring part. Half of the invasion force had returned back to the Fatherland, and all but a few of the rest had left to set up outposts by the Channel. Don't want any warmongerers looking for an easy kill, he guessed. But this meant that Orlov's only duties were governor; establishing the new currency, building an Iron City, setting up the new systems. Not what Orlov wanted at all. So when he got a communication from the Fatherland, he was almost relieved.
"Commissar and Acting-Director Orlov reporting for duty." he said quickly.
"This is the Directory. We have a problem with Honako." a reply came, in a gravelly voice.
"Military?"
"Dilpomatic. A Peace Conference has been invaded by terrorists, with the High Commissar inside of it and the Administrator in the area."
"The Administrator?!" Orlov muttered "Understood. Would you like me send to reinforcements?"
"Negative. Orlov Island is only just established. All units must remain. We will be sending reinforcements to extract the Administrator and, if he survives, the High Commissar."
"Understood."
"Until we have further information on the High Commissar's status, you will be promoted to High Commissar. Your first assignment is to oversee the protection of Honako. If Oslea thinks it can supply terrorists who shot our Administrator and are possibly going to kill our High Commissar, then they will be shown their folly. Terminating link."
Commissar Orlov, now High Commissar Orlov, sat down. He was the new High Commissar! The leader of the entire People's Armed Forces!
No more mediocre invasions like Orlov Island, he thought happily. He would be overseeing the most advanced military missions, leading the most dangerous invasions! But stay focused, he reminded himself. He had a job to do. He picked up the com-line.
"This is High Commissar and Acting-Director Orlov. All personnel, prepare for military conditions. This is not a drill. All civilian personnel will report to the bunkers. All military personnel will reinforce the Channel. All diplomatic personnel, prepare Code Red conditions. This is not a drill."
Honako
Yuri decided to throw away the communications device. He didn't want the terrorists to have such a direct line to the R.S.U. He motioned for his Elite Guards to follow him.
"We are holding the front! Make use of all the vantage points you can find! We must pin down the enemy!" he yelled, over the sound of distant gunfire. The Elite Guards quickly armed their Koloshnikovs, clicking with a menacing echo. They quickly marched down the hallway and into positions. Yuri took cover behind a marble pillar, revolver primed, all diplomacy removed from his head. This was war, his element.
OOC: No more running around the corridors Aurum. It’s a bit unrealistic considering the building is overrun with terrorists. And Kanami, the best place for an escape would be through the under construction Southern area which does have a lead to an helipad, but there will be a few Union Terrorists you will have to deal with. Oh, no one kill Lifer.
IC:
There was a standoff. Over 100 Smokers Union terrorists had stormed the building, many lives had been lost, but the building all for the mysterious under construction Southern area (OOC: A way to RPing any forces in there) was in their control. They faced stiff resistance from 35 highly trained, well armed and brutal members of the Honakon Guard. Lifer also suspected there could be up to 15 guards from allied forces, hiding behind the grand pillars and resting places of the outside foyer, and underneath the all consuming chandelier. They may lose half their remaining men in getting past these drones, but it had to be done for the freedom to Smoke. Though to Lifer it was more than that, he had to be rid of this Oppressive government. They had ignored the Unions many signals to handover control to the Smokers Union, and know they would pay by seeing their allies and themselves in hostage, and if they did not comply, dead.
The eerie silence of the whole building was somewhat strange after the loud explosive fighting that had been taking place for over an hour to take control of the building. It had been harder than predicted, but Lifer knew victory was in sight.
He gestured for to a tall gruff looking man to come to him, amd when he crept next to him he whispered this in his ear:
"We are in a large corridor outside the Entrance to the Upstairs Meeting Room. If you step five metres ahead of this point you will be shot, but there is a medium sized reception room outside the Meeting Room, just ahead, you see..." The whispering turned inaudible.
Minutes Later…
The large cruel faced terrorist stepped forward calmly. From this position no one would see him. He was a strong man with a good arm and that was why Lifer had picked in him. In his right hand he squeezed a deadly grenade, and he slowly lifted it up and pulled the small cord. In one large swift movement he threw it many metres in the air and forward, and watched it impact just above the Chandelier causing a brief but powerful explosion. Honakon men ran around the room out of the falling Chandeliers path, and saw it hit the floor tremendously, and diverted all their attention to this problem.
Perfect. The loud order of ‘Charge!’ echoed around the room before the allied guards could even realise this was all part of a diversion. Hundreds of Union men came from the corridor and shot at all corners and every hiding place in the hope of a kill. Lifer could see the doors, and ran to them under cover and with protective fire. There was a massive gun fight ensuing behind, but he wrestled with the large locked doors. He shot at the locks manically and finally they began to slowly open. He head orders of ‘Retreat, return to the Meeting Room!’ being shouted by Honakon Commanders. But they were too late, once this bloodbath was over they would enter the room and the delegates would be theirs. He ducked under a table to avoid incoming fire.
Outside…
News of unauthorized forces were the rumours of the hour. It seemed not only Oslean forces but allied forces could be entering in without Honakon consent, but at the moment no one was sure whether this was fact or rumour. But he hoped that these reinforcements would see sense and inform Honako before they entered. They still had the Honako Transmitter Rule, meaning no non-commercial aircraft was allowed to fly over Honakon airspace without permission, and would be shot down after warning. He was happy at the thought of that happening to Osleans if they did it, but prayed that any other allies would run it through Honako first (hint hint!).
One of the lifeless Generals at the outside scene of thousands of armed forces was getting inpatient, he barked out this order across the street:
“Get your fifty best men, all covert and well trained, to enter the building through the Southern derelict entrance. We’re going to save them”

OOC: Ok I'll stop, just trying to cover my General's ass
IC: The General could hear the explosions and gunfire happening all around him. He wasn't gonna let them win. He loaded his gun and took up position near the door with the 10 remaining Aurum Domus special agents. He was going to win this or die fighting. He motioned to General Claes to come join
him.
Yuri ran backwards, shooting at anything that didn't resemble an Elite Guard. Around him he saw Elite Guards drop like flies, one who had taken so many bullets to the face that his head had detached. Yuri's clothes were ruined, his face and hair covered in dust, and his shoes blood stained. There was only two Elite Guards left.
Stanislav knows where the Party member is, he thought worriedly. Probably dead. He quickly barged into the Hall, flanked by his guards. Around him was absolute chaos. Delegates clustered together, guards swarmed. He made his way to the back and got into cover. The remaining guards took their place around the door.
"Where the Hell are the reinforcements?" He muttered.
Niles Gordon looked on in shock. They'd lost and he knew it, Mrs. Parkins was wide awake now and listening to the sounds of gunfire too - her face pale and expressionless. Now all Niles could do was try and keep as many people alive as he could. He stood up to speak:
"People, please, you must stay here. If you run out there guns blasting you will be killed, they outnumber us. We will have to deal with this as a hostage situation - they will not kill us, they want us to give into their demands - assuming its the Smokers Union" He was interrupted by a loud voice shouting 'FOR THE SU' and the sound of a grenade explosion, that made the fact it was them very clear.
"If everyone comes back here we can stall them...and then our men will come in and kill them. It's our only hope of survival" He looked at the Oslean men "Don't say anything, or you will be viewed as traitors along with the SU when our men storm in"

Meeting Hall, Jabero
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Cnian veteran guards cocked their AK-74's, and prepared to make a barricade from any wooden furniture they could find in the delegate. On them they each had an FN forty-nine and a K-Bar knife, plus two grenades each. In several moments the barricade covered two thirds of the hallway, leaving only one third in the middle for retreating forces to enter.
One of the Cnian guards lit a cigar, one of his two A-grade that had been supplied for his job. He then passed one to the other guard, standing at the other end of the barricade. "Thank, Camden." The guard yelled over the rush of retreating feet and loud orders. Also litting his cigar, inhaling and exhaling a large gray puff into the room's atmosphere.
Camden replied to the other Cnian guard, keeping his eyes, and sights, down towards the end of the hallway. "Hell, if we die here, we might as well smoke some good shit, Bailey." Bailey replied with a laugh, then the omnisouce call of death returned to him, just as it had done in so many of his other battles.
Several seconds latter the Cnian delegate had arrived to their backs, to the left of Bailey, ordering, "Give me your two pistols and ammo, I am Cnian. No title of delegate will keep me from my true call." With that the men's confidence grew, and handed the Delegate two FN Forty-nines and fourteen clips, which he handled comfortable, all Cnians being trained in war. The Delegate cocked the pistols, one in each arm and lined up the sights with the end of the hallway.
It was far too dangerous for Misuzu to run about now. Terrorists were filling the building and were everywhere. She ducked into a room which unforutnate for her, had windows. She looked up of course the celing! She attempted to remove the celing pannels but they weren't removable. "Shoot!" She heard foot step and quickly jumped down to the floor. Meeting Room, Jabero
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The grenade hadn't done much to the Cnian position, seeing as all three of the Cnians had jumped to the corners to save themselves from the grenade's deadly shrapnel. The true damage was done to the barricades that now covered a little less than half of the hallway. But the Cnian's manned their positions.
Gunnery Sergeant Camden let off his entire magazine into the charging Unionists. He quickly realised the magazine, throwing it at the charging enemy, and replaced it with a fresh magazine, cocked the gun, and let off bursts into the charging wave. He soon realised that they were going to be quickly overrun. He yelled over the heavy fire of Unionist and Foriegn troops, "Bailey, take the Delegate! Find the schematics of this fucking building and save his ass!"
With that Specialist Bailey grabbed the Delegate by the shirt and ordered him to find the schematics. The Delegate pulled them out of his dress pants and laid them on the floor, scanning it quickly as the charging Unionists came running towards them. They found a construction site, South, with a helipad. "Alright, Delegate, we're guna pull back to this contrustion site," He used his extraced middle finger to point out the location, then continued talking. "Well set up a barricade there and try to funnel as many men as we can!" He stuffed the schematics into his blue pants and pulled the Delegate, again by the collar, and raced towards the construction site.
Lieutenant Bruce Armitage's T-101 APC stopped, letting the ten men inside get out. It sat on a hill behind the hotel, letting the snipers set up their positions to cover the building. Armitage peered through his binoculars, watching the Union troops surge into the building. "How many, sir?" Sergeant Arthur Martin asked.
"At least thirty still outside," the officer replied. "No way to tell how many are in the building, though."
"Orders?"
Armitage thought for a moment. "Leave the snipers here. The rest of us will rappel up the building to a higher window, enter there, and meet with the delegates."
"Yes, sir," Martin confirmed. Armitage nodded. All the terrorists were using the front entrance, nobody had encircled the back. A childish mistake. Armitage smiled a bit. That was what the Ezaltian Special Air Service was for.

The four F-26 Hydras were lined up ready for takeoff, and the C-130 was lining up behind them. Compared to the F-26s, the C-130 was a huge, fat target, also considering that it was the only non-stealth aircraft flying along with the F-26s.
The Splinter Cell Rangers entered C-130, and a Ranger asked, "The hell's takin' you guys so long? Let's move!" to a maintenance man outside.
"It takes a while to fuel up the planes and we aren't done checking up yet... and the Hydras still have to be loaded with weapons... It's hard laoding a 500 pound missile you know."
"Yeah, well screw that! We got ourselves some Oslean boys to save!"
"Just hold on..."
----
The two Oslean soldiers inside the room with all the delegates decided not to fight, since Command had briefed to them that the SU were allies of Oslea. They decided to go into a corner, away from the doorway. Morrison lit up a cigarette, not caring about Honakon laws.

Courtyard, Honako
Surprisingly, the men stuck in the courtyard, hiding, were still alive and still haven't been found yet. Pvt. James of the Oslean army, on escort duty, found out that these were SU soldiers, and decided to call out to one of them, even though he could be risking his life. The battle had moved on to within the building, and it was relatively peaceful outside.
"Yo, buddy. I'm an Oslean," he called out to a Smokers Union fighter.

{OOC: What about the corridor Camden is holding?}
The two, soldier and delegate had made there way to the entrance of the south construction hallway, only to open the doors with several guns being raised at them. Specialist Bailey quickly pushed the Delegate to the left of the door, while he himself rolled to the right, lobbing a grenade in the room.
Specialist Bailey raised his sights and gave the Delegate a hand motion signaling for him to raise his pistols. The smoke from the grenade now exaporated into the room where Bailey and the Delegate were both waiting, doors had been blown open, splinters everywhere. Luckily both of the Cnians were un-harmed.
OOC: Ok, thats cool Ezaltia. You RP that.
IC:
The windows were smashing as more allied men poured in. They seemed to be increasing in numbers, and despite still outnumbering them hugely, Lifer was getting worried. He had to make the move to capture the delegates soon, once they were caught all resistance would stop - no one would want to see the smug diplomats dead.
The doors to the Meeting Room had been closed and barricaded. Lifer gathered around 20 strong men around him, it was all he needed to take the room. The other SU men would fight the incoming allied forces. He whispered instructions to the SU faithful, and in a swift move, they all opened fire at one of the doors, smashing the hinges and flinging it open with their bullets. There were only around ten armed men hiding behind the mass of furniture which barricaded the delegates in, and the SU men fired madly at them.
---------------
Niles Gordon watched on cowering in a corner as the last defences dropped dead to the floor. The Smokers Union forces were now chucking pieces of furniture around them to clear an entrance to the room. A couple of Government Officials, his friends and members of the Commission, starting firing at the SU men. They were quickly disposed of by a huge swarm of bullets. Finally the Smokers Union had cracked their defences, and while the fight still was taking place outside, the fight in here was over.
"Nobody move or you will die!" A tall, slim and dirty look man exclaimed "I am Lifer, leader of the Smokers Union, and you are my hostages" The women of the room began to cry, all but the calm Mrs. Parkins.
Super 6-4 roared into the Capital of Honako it was armed but only if fired upon. Unless people of Kanami (Namley embassy personal) were under serious threat they would not be able to interveene in anyway. Chances are they would encounter a lot of others trying to rescue their diplomats. Hopefully Honako would understand the unauthorized entrance. "How much longer to the center?"

The General wasn't one to obey orders from scumbags, he also wasn't someone who would be held hostage. He motioned to his remaining men sprawled on the floor to pick up their guns as he did the same. He grabbed a shelf on the wall and pulled himself up on his wounded leg. Him and his men took aim briefly at the unsuspecting terrorists, fired a few bursts off, then ducked behind a piece of overturned furniture.
Yuri ducked down as the door imploded. The unlucky Elite Guard on the right was crushed instantly, the remaining one taking a bullet to the eye as the terrorists rushed the room. Yuri calmly stepped out and then, in better English you could say than he spoke during the entire conference, he yelled
"Death to the enemy's of the Reformed Soviet Union!"
He took two shots and then fell to the floor as a bullet lodged itself in his leg.
Orlov Island, Orlov Channel
Orlov sat irritated in one of the outposts. He wasn't use to the warm weather, and didn't bother to shout at any guards who disobeyed regulations by removing their uniform. It was so damn boiling!
What idiot chose this place for invasion, he thought bitterly. He was interrupted by the whirring of helicopter blades. As he looked up, the sky was swarmed with military helicopters. At the front, however, there was a much more stealthy, slick helicopter. Orlov knew 'what' was in that. He picked up his radio.
"Orlov Island to Air Convoy, you are given permission to land."
"Affirmative. Be advised, SZ helicopter will continue to big H."
"Understood. Patching message to big H. Orlov out." Orlov quickly resignalled the radio.
"Orlov Island to Honako Air Control. Requesting entry for the single helicopter. Helicopter en route to Jabero, for extraction of the Administrator and the High Commissar. Please respond."
Head of Honako Air Control, Honako Town
Boris Yetz sat wide eyed at the commotion going on downstairs. They were getting so many reports of unauthorized accesses they were unable to cope. Boris's stare was interrupted by a small man who whispered this message into his ear:
"The RSU are requesting to land their helicopter in Jabero sir, to pick up their Administrator and High Commissionar"
Boris though about it for a second and replied "I guess we have caused them enough trouble. Let their helicopter in, but for now they can only pick up the Administrator - I don't want a helicopter landing on the roof of the Commission Building scaring the terrorists into killing someone"
----------------------------
"Your permission to enter Honako airspace is accepted. You may only go to save your Administrator for now; it is not safe for you to enter the overrun Commission HQ yet. Report to the men outside the Commission HQ if you wish to be part of the military operation to take the building"
The Southern Area, Commission HQ
The fifty armed and dangerous Honako Operatives slide through the mass of corridors in the huge modern under construction Southern Area of the HQ. This part of the building was relatively undisturbed, it was declared unsafe for any Government Official to enter it. It looked like a haunted house in the way the shadows crept up the walls and its look of dereliction in the night time.
The men suddenly stopped. Up ahead stood two SU terrorists, they thought anyway. They signalled to each other to slowly move forward, and in two silenced shots the men had collapsed to the ground.
"Move in faster men. We're approaching the entrance to the Eastern Area, and they be defending it heavily"
Lieutenant Armitage rolled through the window, leveling his ERX-23 carbine down the corridor where any potential threats may appear. The rest of the platoon joined him shortly, soo he pumped his fist up and down in the universal 'follow me' signal. They began to skulk down the hall towards the delegates.
"She's still not in place?"
"Sir our diplomat is still not where we need her to be"
"All right, I have an idea, chances are you will need to find her and rescue her, dead or alive. I want two troops to move in and search the area, I want Misuzu out!"
"Roger that."
The Helicopter landed on the South Landing pad, two soldiers hopped out, while the helicopter left for the Kanami embassy.

Meeting Room, Jabero
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Specialist Bailey looked back as he saw the terrorists rush into the room, killing Gunnery Sergeant Camden who was holding the barricade. The Delegate raised his pistols up as several terrorists rushed threw, he fired off both clips from each of his pistols, killing the four terrorists, but one stray bullet found its mark in Bailey's left thigh.
Immediatly Bailey fell to the ground, gripping his leg. This was a motion of wound enlightment for a Cnian soldier, not one of pain. Since childhood they are beaten and broken, so much so the pain of a bullet ripping their flesh apart warrented only a mere twitch in their stature. But the Cnian high command understood ignoring wounds was a fatal mistake and they taught their troops motions to find enemy, or in this case, friendly rounds that had found themselves into Cnian flesh.
Bailey found that the round had gone clean threw his thigh, shanking several centimeters of muscle from his thigh, thus immobilizing him. He gave the Delegate an evil glare and raised his rifle in the view of the charging terrorists, unleashing an entire magazine, then reloading with a new one.
The Delegate had felt no emotional reprocussions from the killing of the terrorists, the damage he caused to a friendly, nor the glare Specialist Bailey shot at him. Pausing to think of these, taking emotional pain... was irrational and all Cnians were taught to be as rational as possible... even to the point to where that very rationality became irrational. He quickly raised his pistol sights to the doorway again, his guns reloaded, and waited for another terrorist charge.
A group of terrorists, five in number, bayonets armed, charged the door, taking an immediate right, towards the Delegate. They sprayed the Delegate with a total of some two hundred bullets. The Delegate on the other hand had let off twenty rounds, killing two and wounding all three, only causing one more to drop.
The terrorists smiled as they killed the Delegate, blood all over their ill coherant uniforms. What they did not anticipate was an angered Bailey, which turned swung his AK-74, spraying the entire way, into the terrorist group, killing and or seriously wounding all of the terrorists.
Bailey dropped his gun and raised his hand, bloodied from the battle. His blue uniform, which at the begining of the day was so pressed and permed, was now red with blood, wrinkled, marked from sharpnel and bullet that had grazed his body. His face was sticky from the dried up blood that had now found a life resting on his face. The rise of his hand showed his surrender.
{OOC: Happy, hostage?}
Amber Crown Airforce Base, Oslea
<Libra 1 through 4, and Hive 9, you are clear to go.>
The four F-26s were finally geared up and fueled, and so was the C-130. All the troops had boarded the plane, and all the aircraft were ready for takeoff.
Two F-26s took off first. The roar of the engines could be heard from the control tower. A few pieces of paper littered on the runway were pushed back, and dust was kicked up. The C-130 followed, along with the rest of the planes.
"Alright men! This is the plan!" Sgt. Hollows shouted over the din of the C-130's engines.
"All six fireteams will insert themselves using HALO, and land approximately half a kilometre from the Conference Building. Get rid of your parachutes, there's no need to hide them. Anyone who opens fire on you, you will engage and neutralize. That includes Smokers Union members. However, do not let yourself be known that you are Oslean to the SU."
"I am lead of Alpha team. Sgt. Juarez is Bravo Team leader, Sgt. Pomornov is Charlie Team leader, Sgt. Brio is Delta Team leader, Sgt. Canis is Echo Team leader, and Sgt. Callaway is Foxtrot Team leader."
"When the outside is secured Alpha will make their way clearing out any opposition. Bravo will examine Malone's body for clues to who killed him, and Charlie will go to the Surveillance Room to check the CCTV footage. The three other Fireteams will neutralize all hostiles in the building."
Hostage Situation
Morrison and Robbins didn't want to fight against allies. Despite all the fighting at the door, they didn't assist the other nation's forces at all. They thought that this would spare them their lives. So they just hid in a corner, and put down their M9s, M16s, and grenades, as a sign of surrender and since Oslea had ties with the SU, it was also a token of good will towards the SU.
OOC: Me thinks your planes will be blown the fuck up
Southern Area
The two soldier stealthly moved through the streets, to get to the center. Both were armed of course, but it wouldn't do much against a swarm of terrorists that outnumberd them 5-1. They were meant to get in and get out with their diplomat, dead or alive. They cautiously peered around corners and moved silently.
OOC: Me thinks your planes will be blown the fuck up
[ooc: Maybe only my big, fat C-130. The F-26s are swift and stealthy, so they can get outta there. Also, the C-130 has flares and chaff countermeasures.]
War Room, Oslea
"Our boys up there might get shot down, you know. They don't know we're coming... Remember last time we sent aircraft?"
"Yeah."
"Well... What if it happens again? We haven't even got back our pilot yet!"
"Hmm... All aircraft are equipped with ejection systems anyway except for the C-130, and the guys in there can just jump out, including the crew. They'll be fine."
"Yeah, but we should send long-range air support just in case, Like an EB-180 Stargazer or something, just in case we gotta take out some AAs or something."
"Fine. Aren't they gonna get there 2 hours late though?"
"That's fine. It'll open up a way for a new squad to enter if our first squad fails."
[ooc: Just in case you don't know, the EB-180 is a bomber equipped with cruise missiles.]
Conference Hall
Yuri lay on the floor, covered in the blood of his allies and the blood from his leg. There was only one bullet left, and the revolver was not a tactical weapon. It was a dazzle gun, not a war gun. Slowly, so as not to attract the Union's attention, he ripped off the left arm of his uniform and tied it around his leg. He then lay face down on the ground. Better to be thought dead then to be a hostage.
Honako, Jabero
The Spetznaz helicopter whistled through the air, blending into the night sky. As the Conference Hall came into view the 5-man team got into position. No time to waste. As soon as it was over the building, the helicopter hovered for a few seconds as the door slid open and four of the team rappeled down onto the top of the hall. They rolled up their rappel hooks, and stealthily crawled forward. One man remained on the helicopter as the door slid shut and it sped off to the hospital where the Administrator was being treated, for a dual purpose. To provide Intel for the team and also to safe guard the Administrator's return. They'd been through enough that day to know it wasn't going to run as smoothly as they thought it would. He quickly uplinked on his laptop, and put on his radio.
"Report in Team." He muttered into it.
"One reporting in." Came the frankly unexcited voice of the leader.
"Two reporting in!" Said the much more enthuisiastic new member.
"Three reporting in." Replied a sullen Sniper.
"Four bored but reporting in."
"Shut the hell up Four! This is an important mission!" Barked One.
"Yeah yeah..." Four replied, completely uninterested. The Coordinator turned down his mike to avoid the brunt of the colourful phrases One spouted at Four.
"Keep the lines clear, unless in an emergency."
"Understood. Where to now?"
"Hold. Accessing building schematics..."
OOC: Honako, can you give me a description/floor plan/map of the Conference Hall?
Honako Hostage Situation
Robbins just stared at Morrison, who was puffing away at his cigarette while everyone else was in pain or fear. He didn't agree with the reason of this whole operation in the first place. His commanding officer had told him that it was for "Freedom for the Honakon people." Bullcrap, he thought. Chemical weapon attacks on a country? Some freedom that is.
"Was this why I joined the Oslean Army?" he thought to himself. He joined because the TV ads said "Fight for freedom. Fight against terror. Fight against tyranny. Fight with the Oslean Army." In retrospect, he considered himself a victim of propaganda. In an act of rebellion towards his Oslean commanding officers, he ripped off the Oslean flag from his uniform, picked up his M16 and fired at the Smokers Union terrorists. He didn't care if he was gonna die.
OOC: Sorry for the short post, I’m too tired to do anything better. Also if people want to RP the fighting with there forces outside, do so. If your RSU delegate is playing dead, leave him like that for a bit till something major starts, and the fight against them begins.
Suddenly bullets blasted towards the mens direction. They swerved to see it was an Oslean man on them, and the return fire saw him wounded on the floor. That move had just made even their delegates unsafe.
Lifer smiled as the last hopes of resistance faded from the faces of his hostages. His gun was slung around his board shoulders and twenty of them were aiming their weapons at the hopeless delegates. A few had bravely fought, and they now lay dead in their red blood. Lifer addressed the frightened people:
“You are all here because of the actions of the Government of Honako. We have tried to reason with them over the past twenty years, and in many cases people had to die, but they ignored us. So, we repeat our demands again; we want Smoking to be free and legal in this country, and we want you to bring in 100 of our most senior members on to your Commission so we have a majority say in the way this country is won.”
He paused and looked around. Fighting was still going on around him, he could hear it. But the doors seemed to shut out the full violence.
“We also demand an election for a new Commission Leader, to replace Mrs. Bourla Parkins. I will run for this. All sounds fair doesn’t it? What do you say, Mrs. Parkins?” Lifer looked cruelly at her lying on the floor, with Niles Gordon kneeling down beside her.
She lifted her head high and sneered back “We do not co-operate with terrorists” She spat out.
Lifers face went pale and angry. She had ruined her chance, and now the real fun would begin.
“Mrs. Parkins” Lifer withdrew a gun from his pocket and waved it threatening about the room, as if he had no control. People gasped and withdrew in fear. “You just made the wrong choice. I’m sure your allies will appreciate it” He swiftly turned and pointed the gun at Ives, a member of the Tolvarus delegation. It one cold blooded shot directly at his heart he fell to the floor, hand outstretched and faced his final painful moments.
“Now” Lifer continued “Give us what we want”
A flurry of bullets met the SAS men as they rounded the corner, forcing them to take cover in the doorways. They poked out the muzzles of their rifles and submachine guns to return fire in accurate two-round bursts, a sharp contrast to the spray-and-pray tactics of the SU.
Lieutenant Armitage peered through the red-dot scope of his ERX-23 carbine, drawing a bead on a terrorist's head and squeezing the trigger. Two 7.62x51mm bullets flew out, both acheiving direct hits. The terrorist's blood and brains splattered on the wall, and Armitage ducked back to avoid a fullisade of return fire. "Ready frags!" he called over his radio, pulling a grenade out of his belt.
One trooper, armed with a EMG-45 light machinegun, poked his head out and coated the hallway with bullets, covering his comrades as a dozen grenades soared towards the enemy.
"Door!" One got against the wall as one cautiously yanked it open. "Clear!" They procceded inside and upthe stairs. "Comand we'll need the status of that beacon."
"Unfortunatley we can't guarantee you privacy if we set off your beacons, you'll have to try to find her on your own."
"Command you can't be serious."
"Negative, we can't keep the lines free from eaves droppers, last we saw her signal was on the top floor before it was shut off."
"Roger."
They ran up the stairs fortunatley the doors were unlocked in the stair wells which saved them the trouble of probably blowing their cover.
"We're going to have to check each and everyone of these rooms."
OOC: Can I just confirm this, Oslea and Ezaltia - you were supporting the SU in the previous war yet killing them now? :p Can't say I'm complaining.
"Ho-ly Crap!" Morrison just stared wide-eyed at the dead body of Robbins. "You retard..." he thought. "No way in hell I'm gonna die here." Morrison was in fear, even though he was supposed to be an ally of the Smokers Union.
"D... Don't mind that guy who shot at you... s-something mustv'e gotten into his head." The young recruit was shivering, since he was now by himself. His support had just defected and killed, and it was hours till more Oslean troops came. All the delegates in this room hated his country, so he thought of something to do.
"Wait." He thought. "Couldn't I become famous if I just shot Bourla Parkins right now?" Morrison was imagining twisted thoughts of a reward ceremony for assassinating the head of a state. Then again, his commanding officers would probably dishonorably discharge him because of disobeying orders.
Morrison slowly went into insanity because of all the combat and blood he had just seen, and because of the fear he was experiencing. "Ha...Ha ha... they'd all love me! THEY'D ALL LOVE ME!" He shouted out loud as everyone just stared at him.
He picked up his M-16, set it on full auto, and fired his whole magazine at Bourla Parkins, although with very bad accuracy.
[ooc: I didn't ask you for permission for that attack on Bourla Parkins, so if you don't want her to die you can say all the bullets missed because of the newfound mental illness of Morrison.]
OOC: Can I just confirm this, Oslea and Ezaltia - you were supporting the SU in the previous war yet killing them now? :p Can't say I'm complaining.
[ooc: Well, they shot my soldiers >_> Although I'm killing them, officially I'm still their allies. I'm trying to do it stealthily so they don't know it's Oslea killing them]
OOC: Can I just confirm this, Oslea and Ezaltia - you were supporting the SU in the previous war yet killing them now? :p Can't say I'm complaining.
OOC: Technically, I'm not supporting the SU. I'm supporting Oslea, who is supporting the SU.
Mrs Bourla Parkins had miraculously not been killed, though had been hit in her thigh and was lying in terrible pain on the floor. Two Commissioners had leaped on her to protect her from anymore incoming fire. There would be hell to pay for this when this was all over.
Lifer turned and walked up to Morrison, and to the shock of everyone in the room, smacked him across the face knocking him to the floor.
"You fool" He shouted at him, and then leaned closer to whisper "Thanks for damaging my star prize. There gonna send troops in and kill us all unless she's alive; she's my ticket out of here if this all fails. Don't get anymore ideas like that without consulting me. It's a miracle I let you live unlike your silly friend over there. I may trust your government, but I sure as hell don't trust you"
OOC: Support them all you want, it will help prevent a war once this is over.
OOC: Think you could reply to my grenade barrage a few floors up?
OOC: Sure, but I'll only be quick.
The SU men where literally scattered around the room as the barrage of grenades exploded right underneath them. They had new Honako forces at them, the fight in the hallway and the endless troops that seemed to be swarming in from other nations - it seemed to be growing into a losing battle. Ten men looked dead on the floor, but another fifteen where quite unhurt, and returned the fire with a few grenades of their own. Hearing the explosion they hoped it had done some damage to the enemy forces.
Before Lifer smacked him in the face Morrison turned and pointed his gun at Lifer in an act of instinct, and managed to pull the trigger before he was hit. Only a click was heard since there were no bullets in the cartridge
Morrison tried to make sense of Lifer's plan as he kneeled down on the floor dropping his gun from his hand. How long would it be till reinforcements would come?...
C-130 en route to Honako, ETA 2-5 hours
"How long till the combat drop Sarge? I'm friggin' bored over here!" An 18-year old Private said.
"2 to 5 hours! Now shut up and go play with your pokemon cards you small prick, while I try to contact our guys inside the building." he replied.
"Damn..no signal.. is everyone dead in there?"
The General and his 2 guards were slumped on the floor behind a barricade watchign the horrific scenes unfold. The General wasn't going to go out like this, wounded and surrounded by maniacs. He did the only thing he could think of, he pulled himself up to his knees, slotted a fresh mag in, pulled back the cocking bolt, and took aim at Lifer's legs, the only part of him he could see from behind the barricade. He fired then collapsed and was covered by his 2 guards.
OOC I take it the terrorists and all the special forces are equipped with personal lights/Nightvision goggles?
"Team, your above the hallway now."
"Understood. Placing charges."
"Yeah! Lets blow this shit hole!"
"Shut your mouth, Two."
As the team retreated to a safe difference, there was a large explosion. Three rapelled down the hole in the roof, rifle at the ready. He looked around briefly.
"Hallway clear." He whispered into his mike.
"Understood. Intel, plug the lights."
"Got it."
"Accessing power..."
Almost instantly the current sector they were in plunged into darkness. If they took out the entire building at once the terrorists might get panicked. The team equipped their goggles, and set the filter to Nightvision.
"Go silent. No point in no lights if they can hear you."
"Yes sir." They replied in unison, placing suppressors on the end of their assault rifles. One by one, the rest of the team rapelled down. Slowly, they crawled down the hallway.
Planes slowly filled the skies around Jabero, swarming in huge groups to protect the city. Most of Honako's airforce was involved. There had been rumours of Governments trying to interfere and although it was too late for some, the Generals on the ground did not want any more present. If they did not carry a Honako Transmitter, and did not give a good reason for there entrance into Honakon airspace, they would be shot down.
OOC: Aurum Domus, your General is on the path to being killed if he starts shooting at Lifer, it's your choice if you want that to happen - but if you really want to wound him it's not like the SU are gonna show any mercy...
“Mrs. Parkins” Lifer withdrew a gun from his pocket and waved it threatening about the room, as if he had no control. People gasped and withdrew in fear. “You just made the wrong choice. I’m sure your allies will appreciate it” He swiftly turned and pointed the gun at Ives, a member of the Tolvarus delegation. It one cold blooded shot directly at his heart he fell to the floor, hand outstretched and faced his final painful moments.
OOC: Haven't been feeling well, so I hadn't checked in awhile.
Javar kneeled down next to Monsignor Ives, but immediately realized that there was nothing he could do. He stared at Lifer blankly, too stunned to say anything. In the time he had known Ives, he had never once seen him angry or cruel to anyone. Now this monster had ended his life with a bullet, when the monsignor had done nothing to provoke him. The Smoker's Union would pay for this, he would make sure of it.
However, he realized that now was not the time for this, and after grasping Ives's hand until he died, Javar retook his seat and awaited the terrorist's next move.
Three took up position on the corner. Being the team sniper, recon duties fell to him too.
"Two Tangos up ahead. Both armed."
"Understood. Moving. Watch for any signs of concealed forces."
Two crouched next to Three, holding up his rifle. Behind the face mask, he was smiling. Being the assault, he liked to get into the action. None of this tactical crap. He slowly edged closer to the corner. Gripping his weapon, he swung round and nailed both of Unionists in the torso in a single sweep.
"Clear."
"Alright Team. Stick together. Intel says we got a long way to go. Once we get near the Zone, stay down. We don't want a bloodbath." One almost cringed at the loudness of the replies. "Keep it down!"
Conference Hall
Yuri looked around. This was a mess. The bullets had flied as he had feared. Many delegates lay dead, the slightly more recent corpse of their guards lying on top. If they didn't get rescued soon, they were doomed. Parkins would never change the ban. He admired her for standing by her principles, even at gunpoint. But this also meant that slowly but surely every one of them would be killed. Except for Parkins. She was that cretinous leader's survival ticket. Yuri only had one bullet left in his revolver, and he certainly wasn't going to waste it on some heroic attempt to shoot their leader.
Lifer strolled around the deadly silent Conference Hall. The faces of the people in the Hall had been drained of all emotions and hope, and they just stared blankly ahead, waiting to see who was next. Lifer also contemplated his decision, but thought he'd try a new tactic out to make Parkins give in.
He gestured and whispered to a close by guard’s ear, giving him instructions. He then addressed the hostages.
"These men will be coming round searching for weapons. Any attempts to hide them, or to use then to resist us, will place the fighter next on our victim list." He glanced at the now stone cold Ives. "Mrs. Parkins, I trust you have a mobile, I wish to speak to the commander of your forces outside" Lifer walked up to her, and saw her wound "It's for your own good not to try and fight me"
After a minute of discussion with Niles Mrs. Parkins reluctantly handed Lifer the phone, which was in call to the Deputy Head of Honako's Military, General McCabe, a close friend of Claes, who was sitting next to Parkins.
Lifer spoke calmly down the phone "Hello Mr. McCabe, I do hope your operations down there are going well. Up here things are not so though, your friend Mrs. Parkins won't give into our demands. I'll give you one minute to reason with her now, or someone else dies - someone that really matters to you"
Lifer passed the phone to traumatized Mrs. Parkins and the muffled discussion between her and McCabe seemed to go on for hours, every second was tense and intriguing. The whole room wondered wether she would give in, save them, but in the back of their minds they suspected most of them would never leave this room alive.
Mrs. Parkins stopped her conversation and looked Lifer right in the eyes as she said "We will not give into your crazy demands. You should be the one surrendering now”
Lifer face grew livid as he withdrew his pistol once again. Without a word he grabbed the phone of Mrs. Parkins and, with the call still running, let everyone down on the ground hear what he was about to do. He released the trigger of the gun seven times. The bullets sped through the air towards their unexpected target.
Niles Gordon. He was hit by the barrage of bullets, one after another, and blood spurted out of his severely wounded body. The force was so strong he was thrown back and hit the hard wall of the room, before slowly sliding down the wall, leaving a snail trial of blood, with his eyes wide open. He was struggling to breathe and turned to Mrs. Parkins, and looked as so he was pleading for her help in his dying eyes. In that moment, it was the first time anyone has ever seen Mrs. Parkins cry. Gordon was not an aggressive man, he did not deserve this terrible fate.
The tension in the room could be cut with a knife, and many Commissioners looked as if they were reaching for weapons as they crowded around Nile's body. Lifer put his mouth to the phone and said “Niles Gordon is as good as dead. Within the next few hours everyone in this room will be lying in a pool of blood if you don’t give into our demands. And don’t think that’ll be all that will happen, thousands more will pay with their lives if I have anything to do with it”
The phone went dead. Lifer knew there would be repercussions to this murder, and he watched everyone closely around the room.
"Grenade!" came the call from several of the SAS troopers, but for some it was too late. Several men fell to the floor, injured or dead. Still, the platoon advanced forward under withering cover fire, determined to reach the delegates before it was too late.
"Did you hear that?"
"Sounds like the other cravans have arrived."
"We have to act fast."
"Misuzu!"
"Shhh you want to give us away?"
"We're the only ones up here because she was the only one smart enough to run!"
"Well which door is she behind?"
"I don't know!"
"Misuzu!"
"Don't talk so freakin loud!"
They contiuned to check each room untill they finally came to the right room.
"Madam diplomat! It's all right were freindlies!"
"Thank Goodness, where's the rescue squad?"
"We're it!"
They moved out into the hall and back down only to find the stares blown out
"We'll have to find another way!"
"The only other way is through the lions den!"
"We'll have to do our best to stay quite."
They turned around and went down the adjacent stair well which would lead them by everyone and anybody
Back at the military base, a rescue team mobilized. There were 30 men, 15 armed with silenced AMP-1's and 15 with silenced AKS103U's. In less than a half hour they would board the Blackhawk helicopters and fly in. They planned to take the same route as the other teams, through the under construction southern entrance. Their mission was simple, get all surviving men out of there and if neccessary, kill all hostiles in their way.
Jabero Airfield, Honako
"I wonder how they're doing in the Conference Hall... I hope they're still alive... They've got pretty good weapons after all..." Pvt. Robert Jensen said as he played around with his Nintendo DS. Pvt. Jensen and a few other people were assigned to guard the plane that the Oslean ambassador had arrived on. The plane was out in the airfield, and wasn't connected to the airport building, so a makeshift guard outpost was quickly set up that had some food, a light, and a few boxes of ammo. Pvt. Jensen and Pvt. Raycroft were manning it this night. They had received the request for assistance from their Oslean homeland some time ago, and Jensen had relayed it to Oslean high command. They both knew support took extremely long to come. They were too lazy and afraid to do anything about it, though... Until now.
Pvt. Jensen and Pvt. Raycroft were connected to the cockpit via radio. The two pilots were just sleeping in the cockpit, because they were too lazy to go to the sleeping quarters, and two guards were sleeping around the entrance door. Pvt. Jensen turned to Raycroft and asked, "You think we should try and go rescue him. I mean, get off our fat asses and do something useful?"
"I dunno... We haven't recieved a signal from those guys at the Conference Hall Yet."
"Come on!"
"Dude, those are SU people in there. Those are our allies, you retard. I'm not gonna shoot an ally."
"Well... I'll let you decide. It's boring back here though.. I've always wanted some front line action."
Hostage Situation, Jabero
Morrison just stared at Niles Gordon. Never in his life had he seen so much violence, not even in the 18+ horror movies he had watched with his girlfriend back in Oslea. Morrison froze in horror, and just stayed there on his knees, not moving a muscle. He admired Bourla Parkins for her courage, but at the same time hated her since she was the reason this whole conflict was started, because of her stupid smoking ban.
The men strapped on NV goggles as the helicopter began its descent. Each of the men strapped on their tac vests and made sure they were filled with plenty of magazines. The rescue team followed the path of the RSU agents and within a few minutes, had reached the door.
"Need a little extra firepower mate?"
OOC: RSU, leave it a bit longer. There are three reasons I say that, 1) I still have just one last demand from Lifer, 2) I want my people to get there with yours for the attack so they can kill Lifer and 3) Most of the people are actually outside the doors, if you look at my posts only around 20 are in the hostage room, so you'll need help anyway. I'll post the final hostage bit later.
IC:
The Honakon armed rescue team, fifty of them in total, rushed around the empty corridors, which bore all the signs of a horrific invasion. They were heading for the area outside where the delegates were, as they had been given orders to go there due to the fact all the other parties had congregated there for the final attack. The men looked around and checked their weapons and equipment - they knew it would be a hard battle ahead.
OOC: This shouldn't going on for the next week - though if there are repercussions it could. Your troops probably won't be needed for the attack on the Conference Hall, but thanks for being involved!
OOC: Buddha, I'm confused? What embassy are you outside of, and if you are supporting the SU how do you plan to get in the building, with brute force?
Spec. Agent Evan Silverstein received a call through his headset as he waited outside the doors.
"Agent, you and 3 men go to the surveillance room, I've sent the coordinates to your GPS, destroy everything in the room, you don't have to worry about being caught on camera, power to the whole place has been cut, and in case the video footage is stored on a central computer we've hacked the system to destroy any saved footage of the General. Godspeed soldier."
Agent Silverstein gathered 3 of his men and quietly slipped out of the main group. He had a job to do and he wasn't going to disappoint.
OOC: Buddha, I have no problem with you giving the SU a helping hand - it would be fun and make the attack a bit less one sided, but you must realize as I have mentioned in previous posts that there are near enough 1000 men outside the Commission Conference Hall. Now, I was confused as to whether you were attacking that or an embassy, so thats why I asked. Thats basically a catch up cause I know you were away from the RPing for a while. The best way in for 280 odd men would be through the tunnel of sewers to the gaping hole the SU blew up to get in there - there will be a few dozen men who will fight you in the sewers but just say you killed them. If you need any more info just TG me to keep this more ICy.
OOC 2: To Oslea about your previous post - I can't remember either, I'll just let them stay there. ;)
OOC: DAMN YOU, JOLT, BANE OF MY LIFE!!! I had this great, detailed post, and then the server goes and crashes. Here we go again...
Lance Corporal Geoffrey Jameson watched through the scope of his ESR-97 sniper rifle as the large convoy parked in front of the embassy, soldiers pouring out and taking positions. His five fellow snipers and the anti-materiel sharpshooter picked out their targets, the four men with scoped rifles. They watched as the enemy snipers took their positions, and then the SAS sharpshooters coordinated themselves to eliminate them all at once.
Jameson rested his scope on the sniper's temple, adjusted his scope to compensate for bullet drop, and exhaled. His finger squeezed the trigger gently, and the bullet made no more than a hiss as it left the silenced barrel. Three of his comrades fired as well, and every enemy sniper had a 7.62x51mm bullet headed towards his skull.
Meanwhile, Private First Class Christian Tulouse had picked out the man in charge after seeing him yell orders to the terrorist reinforcements. His big EAM-99 anti-materiel rifle was not silenced, so a loud crack echoed throughout the night as a massive 20mm bullet drove toward's Theodore Brawl's face.
OOC: Bah, go figure, i had to write that post twice for nothing.. Ah, well, just delete that old post.
OOC: RSU, leave it a bit longer. There are three reasons I say that, 1) I still have just one last demand from Lifer, 2) I want my people to get there with yours for the attack so they can kill Lifer and 3) Most of the people are actually outside the doors, if you look at my posts only around 20 are in the hostage room, so you'll need help anyway. I'll post the final hostage bit later.
OOC Okay. Disregard my previous post.
IC One cautiously peered round the corner and muttered a curse.
"Intel, I thought you said that most of them were in the hall?"
"They must have fanned out afterwards."
"Shit. Theres not enough cover, and i'd rather avoid a full-frontal firefight."
"Napalm?" One reached into his suit and took out an Incendiary grenade. Leaning on the wall, he pulled the pin and threw it down the corridor. It slid silently across the foor, hitting the back of a Unionist's foot. He turned round, looking down.
"Three...two....one...zero." The explosion was silent, but the screams that would follow wouldn't be. To avoid this Two instantly jumped out and wiped the corridor.
"Clear."
"Intel, we need a place where we can plan a route. Got anything for us?"
"Understood. Theres a CCTV control room to the right and upwards. Should have sufficient cover."
"Got it. Alright Team, we're heading for the Control. Go silent." Nodding briefly, the team quickly sprinted towards the stairs. One just hoped the terrorists hadn't found it first.
Lifer looked on as Niles Gordon finally died. Lifer actually had a tiny bit of guilt at that moment - Niles Gordon was the backbone of all things good in the government, he kept things straight and was always against war. But he had to die, Lifer reminded himself - for smoking. In that thought Lifer removed a cigarette from his pocket, one happily supplied by Oslea during the month or so of war, and lit it.
Bourla Parkins stood up in a rage and walked over to Lifer. She did not care what happened to her now anyway, Honako would be in tatters after whatever she did - she just wanted it to end. She pushed passed the SU men guarding Lifer and he let her pass through. Suddenly, to everyone’s shock, she lifted her arm to hit the cigarette out of his mouth but he grabbed it, and threw her to the floor.
She looked up at him and spoke "You are scum. Everyone hates you, the people don't want you to save them - you are there worst nightmare"
Lifer interrupted "That’s all down to government propaganda, when I'm in charge that will soon change."
Parkins smiled and began to laugh "Do you really think I'm ever going to let you be in charge of this country? Even if you and your good forsaken bunch of weezing smokers did manage to start a revolt against us I know many a nations military would lend a helping hand in eradicating you and every one of your useless forces" She paused as the sound of gunfire erupted outside, there had been none for over an hour, and it seemed Honakon and allied forces where coming to save them "Give this up now, before you get everyone killed"
Lifer dragged her up and threw her against the wall, before drawing a gun to her head "Give in to our demands or I will kill you..." A gunshot rang across the room, as everyone turned to see a Commissioner, someone who had been hidden until then, holding a pistol he had grabbed from a nearby SU terrorist. There was a wound in Lifers back as he dropped his weapon and fell to the floor. There was an explosion heard outside and the shouts of men. This would be over soon, but would anyone survive?
OOC: Lifer is wounded, not dead. I'll deal with him once you RP your forces in. People can start the attack in the hall now, don't make it quick, there are 100 men in there so it's not just a case of one post kill ten men and blow up the doors.
OOC: There is a problem as I may not have the internet for the next two days, so no one enter the room till then but you can RP the fight outside. This should be wrapped up soon enough, there just might see a slight delay. Sorry.
Jabero Airport, away from all the carnage
"You know Raycroft, you're a lazy ass."
"Shut up Jensen. At least we're not dying out there."
"Well screw you! I'm going out there and saving whoever's in there!"
"Uh.. you mean people who hate Oslea?"
"No! The Smokers Union, and the rest of the Osleans still in there alive." Jensen sighed. He picked up his M249 and lit up a cigarette, and entered an escort sedan that was still near the plane.
"Hey Jensen, where ya goin'! Don't leave me here alone!" Raycroft picked up his M16 and threw the sedan door open and jumped inside.
"Alright, let's do this!" Jensen radioed the sleeping guards inside the plane, in the entrance hallway of the huge 747. "Hey you fatheads, we're gonna help out those guys inside the Conference Hall. The SU guys and the rest of the Osleans in there. You wanna come?"
"Command never authorized this... But what the hell. Let's roll." The two men inside the 747 ran over to the pilots and told them to open the door, and close it after. Pelletier and Jonas, the two other men, picked up their armaments and headed towards the sedan as well.
With Jensen at the wheel, Raycroft riding shotgun, and Pelletier and Jonas in the back, they sped towards the Conference Hall as fast as they could. Nothing could stop them, even if any Honakon police would try to pull them over for speeding. The armaments for the impromptu fireteam was an odd arrangement; Oslean Sergeants wouldusually not go into battle with this kind of an arrangement, but it would have to do. Jensen has an M249, Raycroft his M16, Jonas with an M24 Sniper Rifle, and Pelletier with his M16 as well. Everyone had a few frags and smoke grenades.
1 Hour from Jabero, Near Honako Airspace
"This is Libra 1. All planes arm your air-to-airs, we're expecting some heavy Honakon resistance up there 1 hour from now. You Rangers in there in the C-130, we'll try to protect you as best we can, and take out any AA guns. Get your flares ready."
"Whoo-ee! Rangers, get ready! Load your MP5's, we're only 1 hour from Honako airspace, and we could even see some combat before that! Let's just pray those boys in the F-26 Hydras do their part!"
There were no trucks, :headbang: it's all pretty much heavy infantry.
And what guns do the Honako forces use?
OOC: So how did they get there?
OOC: I'm back - now is the time to end this though really me thinks, so everyone who wants to be involved in storming the building, my troops will lead the way. Just RP the battle outside the hall. Remember though, don't blow the doors. :p
IC:
There was a huge commotion inside the Conference Hall, outside gunfire could be heard and the troops inside the room prepared to fight for the life of their leader, Lifer, as he lay wounded and shocked on the floor. The SU men knew it was a lost cause, but they certainly were not going to go down without a fight.
Outside The Commission HQ
General McCabe picked up his radio and listened to the info he was being given:
"We're getting reports of a car speeding towards your location. It has come from the airport and we are 99% sure it's Oslean men. They are approaching from the Northern facing road outside the building. Just to inform you sir, you might want to prepare for an attack"
McCabe was furious and he was showing it. He grabbed the nearest Lt. and spat out these words at him:
"How many people are going in to save the hostages?"
"Around 400 sir, plus the 50 that are already in there" The young Lt. nervously replied.
"All through the subways, sewers and southern entrance?"
"Yes sir"
"Then we have those areas covered. Send 30 men to each of the other entrances to guard, and bring 40 men over to the Northern facing road - and five armed vehicles. Tell them that if any car speeds up and does not stop upon command via a loudspeaker, they have permission to shoot and destroy. Also, I want to see the skies swarming with planes, so thick with them you can't see the moon. 100's of them! We need to defend!"
"100's, what is going on General? That's impossible..."
"Make it happen!"
Honako Airspace, over Jabero
The Libra wing pilots could see Jabero's city lights on the horizon. They were close to the city, and it would only be a metter of time until planes and AA guns met the wing of stealth fighter craft and the C-130 with Rangers in it.
<This is Libra 1! We're goin' in hot! About only 10 minutes from Jabero! Can't see any planes or resistance... we're expecting to see some more soon, though. Got it? >
<Roger that, Libra 1. We'll let our troops jump off when we get as close as we can to the Conference Hall.>
Frontline on the Ground
Frenzied troops ran around into their positions. The number had increased to over 60 of them, guns pointing in the direction of the incoming building. Five heavily armed and armoured vehicles had been sent to surround it and replay the same message through their loudspeakers over and over again. Even a tank had joined the defence. The message sent to the car was as follows:
"Stop the vehicle immediately, and exit it with your hands in the air. If you fail to do so we will destroy the car and any people inside it. We repeat, stop the vehicle immediately, and exit it with your hands in the air."
The Airspace around Jabero
An attack from what they supposed was Oslea were coming from air and ground, and a large group of 30 planes were sent to warn, and if they failed to compile, destroy the Oslean planes. As air attack defences on the ground began to fire threateningly into the air, the message was clearly sent to the aircraft entering airspace via Honakon planes:
"Return to your country. If you enter Jabero airspace over the city we will shoot you down."
"C2 this is rescue unit we have our hostage and need immediate air lift!"
"It's still to hot there guys you will need to get to the west landing pannel. We're on our way."
"Roger that!"
They ran through a birrage of smoke and shells and snaps and hisses of gun fire. They had to shoot over their shoulders every so often. High Above them the Black Hawk soard through the sky. "Who the hell are these guys?"
"Looks like we have some traffic!"
"Everyone else is here it seemes to be here now!"
"Watch thoes sides!" Several shots of gun fire followed by the retaliation.
"Steadman you take right, I'll take left!"
"Oh craaaaaaaap." Jensen said inside the car. "Anyone of you wanna die today? They got like, what, dozens of soldiers there! We're only a group of four..."
"Day-um. Guess they won. Well, I quit." Raycroft threw the door open and threw his M16 across the ground, and exited with his hands up.
Pelletier and Jonas did the same with their guns, and exited with their hands in the air.
Jensen sighed again. "Damn Honakons. Hope we can anthrax you again," he muttered under his breath. He threw his M249 out onto the ground, but as it did it accidentally let off a few shots.
"Oh snap!" He shouted as he just stared at his gun, sitting in his seat, just frozen there.
"ALRIGHT! WE'VE BEEN TRAINING FOR THIS! NOW, RANGERS, JUMP!" Sgt. Fitzpatrick shouted over the whooshing air outside the open door of the C-130. All the Rangers jumped out, one by one. When they were done jumping, the pilots would abandon the plane, and jump out as well, leaving the plane to crash somewhere.
<Ok... They only outnumber us about.. I don't know. We each only have 2 AA missiles, so I want you to lock on to two fighters each, then try to handle the rest with your miniguns. Do your best Libra Squa-> Libra one was hit with AA fire, and went down. Libra two could see a chute come out from the flaming wreckage.
The troops amassed near the hall received their orders and began the attack. They silently creeped through the halls to where the SU were guarding the door. The closest agents peered through their red dot sights and aligned them with the heads of the unsuspecting terrorists. The agents breathed in then as they exhaled, fired. It had begun.
Suddenly the SU men were being attacked from all areas. Aurum Domus had begun firing and the Honako Forces had sent a barrage of grenades their way, blasting a dozen soldiers around the large foyer. A line of 50 men lay before the doors hiding behind scattered tables as a last defence to the incoming attack. A further 50 men returned the attacks, whilst 40 Honako Spec. Ops opened fire from the high point, some kind of balcony, that they had entered. They were picking the SU men off one by one, whilst Aurum's men fought the fight downstairs.
Outside.
Well over twenty armed men exited the vehicles that surrounding the intruding Oslean car. The leader of the pack, a Sergeant whose name is unknown, looked down on the sniffling Osleans who had surrendered:
"You are lucky to have been shown mercy. If Honako was not so civilised we would of shot you - or in your case, anthraxed." He ordered for the soldiers to grab the men "You are all under arrest for conspiracy against the Honakon Government by trying, and indeed possibly already doing so, to help the SU forces in their brutal hostage situation"
The fight was going well and every man was fighting their heart out, but there was no man fighting more fiercely than Lieutenant Jake Goldsea. In both of his hands were AMP-1 machine pistols which felt like nothing more than an extension of his arm. He was moving so fast and shooting so accurately that the SU were being pushed back into the Hall very quickly. Seeing the valiantness of their fellow soldier, the others began to charge as well, quickly sending the terrorists running for cover from the bullets spewing out of the AKS74Us. Not all of the men made it though, as the SU fell back they managed to shoot 3 men through the head. This just further encouraged the Aurum Doman's and they were goign to make the terroists pay with their lives.
Airspace over Jabero
All the Rangers jumped out of the aircraft, and the pilots jumped out after. The C-130 fell towards the ground, probably towards a city block, or if the Honakons were lucky, in a park or outside the city limits. It was hard to tell from a high altitude, however.
The Rangers were susceptible to AA fire, however they were hard to see since they had black parachutes that blended in with the night sky. The pilots just floated down to earth with them. They were planning to land on or near a large park about 0.5 km from ther Conference Hall.
--
<Three planes on a few dozen... All pilots, eject and meet up with the Rangers instead. We can't win this battle. Don't worry about the planes, we can get more of those where they came from.>
The other three pilots of the F-26s ejected, and sailed down along with the Rangers and the C-130 pilots in their night-black parachutes. The other pilot was unaccounted for, however. He was nowhere to be seen, and couldn't be contacted.
Just don't make it over my country this time. :p Also Oslea, what is your intention with those men you have landed on the ground? I assume it’s to help get your delegation out.
IC:
The Honako Spec. Ops fell to the floor as a grenade was thrown at them, and witnessed the horrific scene as it killed one of their men. They were winning, sort of, but it was horrendous in there and they were still outnumbered even with Aurum's men. Together they had taken out around 30 of the SU forces, twenty of them dead and the rest injured - and they were ready for the final push against a 100 strong force to blow the doors. Reinforcements were coming to help them, but slowly.
Inside The Hall Itself
The hall had been quiet for the best part of 20 minutes. The fighting had been raging outside and the noise of war savaged the tired senses of the hostages. Lifer lay injured on the floor with two SU men beside him, as his lifeless shooter was lifted on to the pile of dead from the hostage situation. They had retaliated quickly after he shot Lifer, and had impaled him with a mass of bullets.
The eighteen remaining SU men stood at the doors. This was it, within literally a few minutes they would all be fighting for their lives.
Outside
The Oslean men were thrown into the unwelcoming Honako Jeeps and speed off to the local police station. They might be interrogated, or left to rot, the Sergeant didn't care - he had far more pressing issues to worry about what was going on inside.
[ooc: They're there to get the remaining Osleans out, and to investigate Malone's death. Aurum Domus took all the evidence out though -.- but they don't know that.]
Nearby Park, Jabero
The four frieteams surprisingly landed safely on the ground within the park. Citizens had stayed in their homes to stay safe from the neabry firefight at the conference hall; no one was there at the park. A few people looked outside of their windows, but that was it. The pilots of the downed aircraft now safely landed as well, save for the lonf unaccounted F-26 pilot, nearby the Splinter Cell Rangers.
One Sergeant decided his Delta fireteam would go search for the downed missing pilot within the Jabero streets, while Charlie team stayed at the park protecting the pilots. The other two fireteams, Alpha and Bravo, would sneak in from the southern entrance of the Conference Hall.
Alpha and Bravo made their way towards the hall, and Charlie sat down at a park gazebo with the pilots.
Hostage Situation, Jabero
Having just witnessed all the carnage in front of his eyes, Morrison felt his mental illness coming on again. He didn't want to fight, as he knew it would kill him, but he would be captured by the Honakons anyway at the end and would probably be charged with attempted assassination. Morrison couldn't think straight. Soon a bunch of international soldiers would burst in, causing a huge battle. Morrison decided he wouldn't do any harm if he left both his M16 and M9 unloaded, so he took out the magazines from both and pocketed him. He figured he would try to shoot without loading his weapons when his illness kicks in again.
OOC: This thread will end by Sunday Evening, because I'm going somewhere from Mon to Wed and I want it get it done with. Then after it's finished by Sunday whenever (that's just over one day for people who are in other countries from the UK) I'll post up a sort of repercussions thread, it will basically be a big thread where people involved in the conflict (which has been narrowed down to about five, maybe six now) can post stories about the event from their nations media, declarations of war, the political effects, mourning/funerals of the dead. I'll be posting about all of them apart from war, if anyone wants to do that that’s their choice.
OOC 2: I'll allow your men to sneak in Oslea, but I recommend they go on a quiet mission to recover the long gone evidence first as they may not get there in time or be attacked if they try and help the Oslean people whilst the fighting is still going on.
IC:
The reinforcements had arrived in their numbers, with streams of Honakon men pouring into the hall to join the fight. Seventy five Honakon Special Ops. merged with the Aurum Forces downstairs to create a force easily capable of taking care of the remaining men of the SU, whilst the now 40 men on the Upper level provided cover. The only question now was this; were they too late to save anyone inside?
The Honakon Special Ops began the bloodbath. They first shouted 'Surrender or die!' to the valiant, well equipped but poorly trained SU men, and, after no reply, opened fire. It was a war of two clear sides - 100 or so SU men hid behind turned over tables and the bodies of the dead, whilst the Aurum and Honakon men shot at them from behind the grand but wounded pillars of the great foyer. Though the SU didn't have the advantage as they were being shot at from two angles, and falling in numbers fast.
Whilst the huge fire fight commenced thirteen men snuck away from the group of attacking Allied Forces and hid behind some destroyed furniture. Three of them were explosive experts, seven of them Honako Soliders, and three of them Aurum Domus men, including Jake Goldsea (OOC: Will give you Aurum a chance of getting him in for the end of the hostage situation). They would go under cover to the doors when enough SU forces had been killed, and the three explosive experts would rig the doors under the cover of the ten armed men. And then BOOM! - everything would be over as Honakon troops stormed in. When, at least that was the plan.
[6 minutes later, a short jog from the park]
The 8 Rangers were able to get to the Southern Entrance fairly quickly, seeing as it was only 0.5 km away. They used the same weapons as the Ranger Fireteams that killed the two defence commissioners, except one of the team members of each fireteam had an MBT LAW with them. The other three had two MP5's and a sniper rifle.
They quickly snuck into the building. One team would head to Malone's room to see if there is any evidence of who killed him within his body and the surrounding area, and the other team headed toward the security camera recordings room to see if any evidence would be present there.
"No hostiles yet in sight..." Team leader Sgt. Jasper reported to the rest of Alpha team as they headed quietly toward the surveillance room. Team leader Sgt. Weiss reported the same as the headed to Malone's quarters.
--
Delta fireteam had just recieved an emergency beacon signal from the missing downed pilot in the recent air battle over Jabero's skies. Honakon jets still were flying the sky, their roars able to be heard from the ground.
The team leader pulled out his GPS map to center in on the downed pilot's signal. It showed that he was a mere 1.5 km from their current position.
"Should be easy to get to," one Ranger said.
OOC: I'm on a really crappy dialup connection but I'll try to make sure I help you finish this tommorow. Oh and I'm not planning on going to war with Oslea, I just enjoy taunting him. I'll make my next IC post when our guys make it inside, I'm thinking some sort of picture perfect thign where Jake finds his dad.
OOC: Ok then Aurum, I'm gonna basically end my part in this. I'll RP my men and yours killing everyone etc. then me saving my government, and you can do the same later, and Oslea can do his evidence gathering stuff. In the next few hours I'll post up a Repercussions of War thread, but that doesn't mean that Oslea etc. can't still RP in here for a bit about the collection of 'evidence'. Just I won't be on for a few days.
IC:
It was the final push. The SU were being slowly brought back until they were fighting in a small corner. There was little hope of them winning but they did not give in, even though in a dramatic twist they were now vastly outnumbered. One thing they knew though was that it was the end of the Smokers Union as they knew it.
As the fighting still went on a further thirty men broke from the group of allied attacking forces to join the initial assault on the final resistance in the Upper Level Conference Hall. Whilst explosives were rigged to the door they contemplated what this conference had accomplished - if anything no peace had came out of it, but relations had worsened with Oslea. The two explosive experts signalled that the doors were rigged. The SU men had noticed what they were doing and had began firing on them - they had to be quick.
Countdown commenced and the allied men ducked behind various defences "1..2..3..blow the doors!"
Inside the Conference Hall
Lifer, despite his injury, was standing now, staring blanking at the doors. He could hear the men outside, he could smell them. His face screwed up with anger as he joined his eighteen SU friends and lifted his weapon in his weak hands, ready to fight.
"Lifer, don't. It's not safe. Leave now, if you go now you might live." A worried SU member pleaded to him. Lifer showed a creepy smile for the final time and ignored him, and loaded his weapon.
The explosion was sudden and ripped the doors open. The flames engulfed Lifer and his fellow men as they were sent to a fiery hell. The SU survivors were hit with a barrage of bullets, mercy was not shown as the attackers feared they could kill more hostages. Bourla Parkins was covered by the last few remaining men in her security force and watched as a few of her friends, her Commissioners, were also killed in the explosive flames.
"Everybody get down on the floor! Nobody move!" The command ringed across the room. The very last SU man ran at one of the Honakon Special Ops. somewhat heroically, launching himself on to him and firing bullets into his chest. His resistance was little though as he was soon attacked back. As the smoke began to clear the Special Ops. looked across the room. It was a shocking sight - delegates and Commissioners they recognized lay dead on the floor, Niles Gordon had been impaled with a dozen bullets and Mrs. Bourla Parkins was wounded and near dead. It had been a horrifically long night, but now the silence kicked in and at least some had survived.
As soon as the doors blew Jake ran in to find his father. He found him near the back with a bloody rag tied on his bleedign leg. Jake broke into a ran and embraced his father. He had saved him.
The halls were eerily quiet. The Ranger fire teams were oblivious to the other soldiers within the building conducting the rescue operation, and didn't know they were all the way on the other side of it. However, they did notice evidence of a huge battle by the bullet holes in the walls, the ripped furniture, the torn paintings, the blood smeared on the wall, and the bodies spead across on the floor.
Alpha team quietly scuttled to the surveillance room, which, to their expectations, had no one in it. The security personnel were either dead or had escaped from the carnage that is the Honako Hostility Conference disaster.
One of the younger Rangers, weilding an MP5, looked on the multitude of screens, for the one that was recording currently and had Bravo fireteam on its screen. He found a half eaten donut box on the control panel, and helped himself to one.
He looked back up on the screen and saw Bravo Team Leader looking at the camera. The ranger told Alpha Fire Team Leader, who immediately radioed Bravo and told them they could go inside and search for evidence.
Meanwhile, the young Ranger looked back on the screen.
"Rewind it," Alpha TL commanded.
"Yes sir... now, hmm.. let's see.... Malone's door is still open...."
"Stop there."
In the segment of footage was a man going into the room and comnig back out.
"Go back farther, I want to see if anyone else enters the room that doesn't look Oslean."
The Ranger rewinded further. This segment involved the same man kicking the door open and entering. Flashes could be seen in the background, which the TL assumed were gunshots. The man exits out again.
"Huh. Well, looks like we have our man. I'm going to call command."
Alpha TL pulled out his satellite phone, and called Oslean command to report that they had evidence of a man breaking into Malone's room and killing him. They couldn't identify him on the spot though, due partly to video quality issues and just because they couldn't recognise the few features that showed up on the gritty film. Alpha TL figured that command could sort it out.
Alpha team picked up the tape and headed back to the park they landed in, through the halls. It, still, was quiet.
---
Bravo entered the room. Blood was splashed across the walls, and Malone's bullet-ridden boday was on the floor. The team sniper crouched down. After further examination, he could tell someone tampered with his body, since all the bullets were pulled out. Bravo TL would have stayed longer to study the body, but this wasn't a time for forensics. They proceeded back to the park as well.
[ooc: My fireteams didn't exit the building yet. And just for simplicity's sake I'll just say Delta found the pilot and brought him back.. you don't have troops out there in Jabero (i think) that can intercept Delta team anyway, and it doesn't have much to do with the Hostility Conference.]
OOC: Yeah, let the pilot live - I can't be bothered to RP that anyway. The new thread should be up soon, won't really be a big one though.
It's basically a long pointless speech by me about whats happened and what may happen (civil unrest etc.) in Honako. You can post something too, read OCC there.
