Culture:

The United Velker Empire is a nation made up of over 15 planets with numerous other "colonies". The UVE is aggressive and extremely xenophobic. All non-Velkryie citizens are required to have an A-chip implanted that allows the government to monitor them, and if necessary release a toxin that kills them instantly. Velkryie are powerful psychics and extremely fierce. Velkryie culture is all about taking slaves, more slaves, war and prisoners.

Black Guard

Not much is know about the secretive Black Guard. They arrive in the dark of night, find whom they seek and leave. To question one is death. Equipped with disruptor pistols, disruptor rifles, and disruptor grenades, an assault by the elite guards can break any resistance. It is due to their efforts that no rebellion has marred the UVE. They are considered "Holy" by the general population. Their Black D.E.A.T.H. Armor distinguishes them. Any sane Velkryrie would move for a Black Guard, except a Knight of the Holy Order, which consider the Black Guard rivals, and guilty of crimes of heresy for tampering with genetics.

***TOP SECRET***

The Black Guard have a history of genetic tampering and bionic implants. They average soldier in the Black Guard has a bone density four times that of a normal human. His dominant arm is intact, but the other has been replaced by a bionic arm. One eye has been replaced, allowing infrared, night vision, and a targeting/id/weapons scanner. Their reflexes are several time that of a man and can withstand blows that would kill a normal human.


Knights of the Holy Order

Incorporated over thirty-thousand years ago, the Knights of the Holy Order, have evolved into an elite force that answers only to the Church of Alan. In fact, though the general population is unaware of it, the Kings are the secret arm of the Church of Freyr. These warrior-priests of Freyr, are trained in the use of psychically powered energy swords, and wrist-mounted burst cannons. Drawn from the ranks of the elite Velkryie special forces, they deploy via mass teleporters from their Dragonfire Battlecrusier Class Ships. Wearing armor styled from the ancient armor that they wore, their tactics are brutal and cruel, but they are kind to non-combantants. Few non-citizens and non-Velkryie are inducted into the Knights.


Heretic Guard
Incorperated after the rise of the Church of Alan, the Heretic Guard are responible for the elimination of all other religons. Feared for their cruelty and war-crimes, the Heretic Guard are recruited from the Velkrie Guards and are stationed on Slave Worlds throughout the Empire. They are distintive due to their red & gold uniforms and Heretic Guards are trained with all Velkryie Weapons.


Slave Guard

Incorperated due to the need to abtain slaves on slave worlds, the Slave Guard are trained to capture and obtain obedience from slaves. Deploying from Slaveraiders and Dreadnaughts, the Slave Guards are trained in all Velkryie Weapons and are sent in after the first wave of an attack. Their black and green uniforms strike fear into all who see them.


Velki Guard
Drawn from the ranks of the Velki Guard, the Yellow and white uniforms of the Velki Guard symbolize the elite soldiers of the UVE. Trained for ship to ship combat, the Velki Guard strike quickly and silently. Using burst pistols and ion guns, the Guards are feared on several sectors for their prowess.


Velkryie Guards
The bulk of the Velkryie armies are made up of the Velkryie Guard. Poorly trained and equipped, the blue and white clad Guards are the 1st wave to hit in any attack.
