The surgery failed to remove the bullets and Pearce eventually suffered a Heart Attack killing him. He fought all the way right to the end. From: United Socialist States of Wagdog Embassy in the Dominion of Vetaka.
To: Vetaka Foreign Affairs.
I Uthiria Tóriel Lathíriel nós Farlond, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Dominion of Vetaka for the United Socialist States of Wagdog, will of course attend the funeral of the late and most honorably lamented President Daniel Pearce. I have been in communication with my government, and if it should please the Dominion our Deputy General Secretary Christine Friedrich wishes to pay her personal respects on our government's behalf, along with our Secretary of State Rilir Alárion nós Carthir as you know them both from the late Anti-Slavery Innocence Conference.
Ordinarily our General Secretary Comrade Horridus would attend himself, but pressing military matters regarding the Zanski Crisis demand his presence in our capital; at a secure and undisclosed location, should the worst happen by the hands of others. Hopefully, even though Comrade Friedrich only knew the late President as an acquaintance, this may be deemed appropriate given her role in the conference that was Daniel Pearce's final endeavor. Both she and I wish to express our deepest sorrows at this horrific act of murder by a demented individual upon so decent a man as your late Lord-Governor, and our desire to continue following the call to fight slavery with kindness outlined in his final words, as we have already in our dealings with Strator now that they have been brought to account for their tyranny.
As you said in your announcement, our two governments may not be kindred, or even agreeable with each other at times due to the vagaries of alliances and crises; but that is beside the point. As civilized nations, we both have done what we can and continue to do so, in mourning for today or in the joys surely to come tomorrow.
That Manwë may send your nation good wind for its sails, and keep you all safely under the One,
Madame Tóriel.

It is with great sadness that the Federation of Fallible learns of this most unjust act by the actions of a mere terrorist. Sadly, Prime Minister Unagr will not be able to attend the funeral proceedings due to the lock-down of our national borders, however we will send a delegate on his behalf; one, Paul Nighl.
Let be in known, in this your time of need, the Federation of Fallible offers any support you may need throughout the coming weeks.
You have our wishes.

Freedom Square, The Marble Senate Building, Theeb, Vetaka:

Altough it had only been a day since the death of President Pearce Vetaka needed a leader as a result the radio stations and TV stations now beemed the view of the Senate's Freedom Hall live to TV sets across Vetaka and the world. The Vice President was about to take the oath. The Vice President was lady whom had like most of the ruling Independance Party had fought alongside Pearce and the Vetakan Military in the Vetakan Civil War. She was Roxanne Victoria Wright. She was 28 had long Brown hair, Green eyes and a scar along her Right Arm that had been caused by a Sword Injury when she had been captured and tortured by the Vetakan Enemy James Swan whom was the enemy of the Civil War. Roxanne stood waiting for the Ceramony to begin. The Chief Justice beckoned her towards him she walked she was nervous she was about to commit herself into a Vetakan Oath of Loyalty an Oath that could only broken by death. She stopped and waited:

"Roxanne Victoria Wright please Confirm that you are Vice President of the Dominion of Vetaka?" asked Chief Justice Adams.

"I am" replied Roxanne

"We are here today to swear you into Office and to assume the Presidency of The Dominion of Vetaka. Do you understand that you will be bound by the Presidential Oath of Vetakan Loyalty. That you are bound by this Oath an Oath that can only be broken by Death an Oath that is guarded and protected by the Tribal Gods of the White Phoenix. An Oath that protects the Freedom, Peace and People of Vetaka. Do you understand?"

"I do" replied Roxanne.

"Excellent please only agree to the following Oath if you are sure" replied the Chief Justice.

"I Roxanne Victoria Wright accept the Presidency and Lord-Govenorship of The Dominion of Vetaka. I Roxanne Victoria Wright pledge to Defend the people and Land of the Dominion of Vetaka. I Roxanne Victoria Wright pledge to defend Vetakan Interests both at home and abroad. I Roxanne Victoria Wright pledge never to abuse the powers of the position. I Roxanne Victoria Wright pledge to defend and uphold the Consitution and Laws of The Dominion of Vetaka. I Roxanne Victoria Wright pledge to defend Freedom, Peace and Democracy. I Roxanne Victoria Wright pledge to fight true evil wherever it florishs in this world. I Roxanne Victoria Wright understand that should I break this Oath then will be haunted in this life and the next by the Tribal Gods of the White Phoenix. I Roxanne Victoria Wright understand that the only thing that releases me from this Oath of Loyalty is my Death". shouted the Vetakan Chief Justice.

"I Do" replied a Stern Roxanne

"Ladies and Gentleman the President and Lord Govenor of The Dominion of Vetaka. For Vetaka!!! For the Dominion!!!" shouted the Chief.

"For Vetaka!!! For the Dominion!!!" shouted Roxanne along with everyother Person within the room.

With that the wheels of Vetakan Democracy and Freedom had been set in motion and the Second Vetakan President now stood before her people. Her first job was to make her First Presidential Address.

From: Rene Shondel, Vice President.

The Animarnia Government; its people, and on a personal level from myself sends its sincere condolences for your loss. President Peace was a good man with good ideals. Not everyone agreed with him; myself included at times, but he certainly earned all of our respect. He conducted himself with dignity, measured restraint and statesmanship. Always trying to avert war but never afraid to fight for what he believed in when he deemed it necessary.

We all will miss him.

To whom it may concern,

We are extremely saddened by the death of your President. Although our nations have only been in contact recently, a bond has been forged that will no doubt never be extinguished. Unfortunately, due to the Zanski crisis and the continuing investigation, I will be unable to attend the funeral. However, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Rt. Hon. William Mason, will be attending the funeral along with the Leader of the Opposition, the Rt. Hon. Oliver Peterson. They will arrive as soon as Mason returns from the funeral of Emperor Reginald.

Shalrirorchian State Department

The Shalrirorchian State Department and President Shanu Aeri extend their deepest condolences regarding the death of Daniel Pearce.

If there is one thing that time has proved a rarity in politics, then that rarity must be finding men and women of vision. Too often are politicians blinded by the events of the moment, without seeing or understanding the meaning of the greater whole. Peace, from our observations, suffered no such lack of vision. We will only be left to wonder at the accomplishments that might have been.

Yet we have hope that the newly-inaugerated Wright will carry on the policies of those who came before her, and deliver justice, mercy, and equality of opportunity to the people of Vetaka. Let us close, then, in stating that every ending is also a new beginning, and that there is always hope that the new may prove to be even better than the old.

History itself can judge the truth of it.

From the Desk of the President

It is with great sadness that I must announce the demise of President Daniel Pearce of Vetaka the to Republic. He was a good man, cut short by the bullets of a mad coward.

Our Republic has grown slightly closer to his lad, and it's people in these last few months. Currently over a thousand of our sons and daughters are serving with duty, along side the sons and daughters of Vetatka to bring peace to a troubled land far away. Every day they serve along us with distinction and pride, virtues which marked the man we mourn today.

I had never had the chance to speak with him personally, and as is often when someone is lost. I regret that lost opportunity. From what I have heard, he would have been an interesting man to see.

It is my intention to travel to Vetatka and offer our Republic's sympathies in person. As well I hope to make their new President, Roxanne Victoria Wright, aware that we will stand behind the people of Vetatka in these trying times.

Theeb Capital Hospital, Theeb, Newman Island, Vetaka:

Pearce's body was now ready to be taken on its last journey from the Hospital to the Presidential Palace. This journey on a normal day would take a person 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. However today the journey for Pearce was due to take 45 minutes. This was because the body was being transported on a prestigous horse drawn carriage. It was also to be given a guard of honour by the Vetakan Defence Force. The streets were lined with thousands of Vetakans all wearing somthing black. Not because they had been orderd to by the Govenment but because the TV show Vetaka Today had called upon the population to do so as a collective democracy.

As the coffin made its way out of the Hospitals courtyard and on to the street the Carriage Driver were shocked to see just how many people had turned out to see their President. Their True leader. As the coffin passed them by they threw flowers into street and bowed their heads. Some people especially the older those whom had seen what Pearce did during the war cried. As the coffin turned into Courage Road famously named because Pearce and the Vetakan National Army during the Civil War had to fight metre by metre to take the road. Thousands died on this road. The road was crowded with people and each side was flanked by VDF troops all of whom respectfull saluted and repeated the Vetakan National Slogan "For Vetaka!!! For the Dominion!!!" Eventually when it reached the gates of the Presidential Palace the crowd had joined in and as the Carriage entered they all shouted as loud as they could:

"For Vetaka!!! For the Dominion!!! For Pearce!!!!!"

Presidential Palace, Theeb, Vetaka, Glorious Sunny Day:

Presidents Pearce had lay in State for 4 days. People had filed past his coffin for 4 days constantly. People had filed past 24 hours a day some even waited for hours on end to walk past the body. He was trully loved by his people it was estimated that some 2 Million people had come past his body in respect. Now however it was time for the funeral. Delegates from all over the world had come to pay their respects for Pearce. Now they all respectfully sat in the wonderful gardens of the Palace. Behind them was the decking in which Pearce was killed. As they sat the double doors of the Palace opened and an entire regiment of Vetakan Guardsmen in black uniform marched out. They marched down the aisle of the seats and stopped and came to a halt on either side of the aisle creating a slightly smaller asile but with troops on both sides. Those that werent need on the aisle went and took up other positions close to the funeral. They then stood down and bent their rifles with bayonnets towards eachother creating a beautiful Iron arch. It was then that the Oak Doors of the Palace opened again and flanked by more Guardsmen the Coffin carried by the Vetakan High Command Staff was brought slowly down the Asile the troops retracted their rifles to their sides and saluted as the Coffin came passed them.

Eventually it reached the front where it was laid to rest on a stone block their the coffin bearers saluted respectfully and sat down then a man dressed in black robes began:

"Ladies and Gentleman I would like to welcome you to the Funeral of Daniel Pearce. For those of you are wondering I am now a Christian Priest. I am a tribal warlock of the White-Phoenix Tribe. As a tribesman Daniel I shall be carrying out his Funeral. For those of you whom have never been to Vetaka but new Daniel I welcome you to these Great Lands. A land that Daniel fought to liberate from the Tyranny and Oppression of the British and from the Evil James Swan."

"He was a good man whom fought for Vetaka's Freedom and the Fought for World Peace. He did his best for his country and he will always be remembered for being the man whom delivered Freedom and Democracy. During his time as President he rebuilt Vetaka and brought a good life for all Vetakans. Those that new him on the International Scene new him as a man whom always tried to avoid conflict but was never scared to fight if it meant defending Peace or Innocent People. He always respected his opposite numbers of all countries. He always listerned and respected their views even if they disagreed with him. Ladies and Gentleman if you would sit quietly and listen to Pearces favourite song "True Colours" by Eva Cassidy."

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, William Mason; along with the Leader of the Opposition, Oliver Peterson had already been in Theeb for several days. For Peterson, it was a relief to know that Theeb was a reasonably nice place; certainly not the scary place it had been when he had been there for the slavery conference. The two of them had paid their respects and were now sitting in the palace as the funeral of President Lord-Governor Pearce took place; for both men, it was always interesting to see what occurred at these foreign funerals.

Prime Minister Mary McAleese had already arrived in Theeb. She watched as the funeral took place;it just wasn't right for a good man like President Pearce to be dead. She had been given the United Kingdom2 medal from the queen to be placed on President Pearce's coffin she also asked that all union jacks the national flag must be at half mast during President Pearce's funeral in UK2.
Wagdog
10-03-2007, 16:41
Deputy General Secretary Christine Friedrich had only barely arrived at the Wagdoggie Embassy in Vetaka's airfield in time, uncertainty over her welcome having delayed things until the last day possible; and was still able to make the funeral only by scaring the elven ambassador, Lady Uthiria Tóriel Lathíriel nós Farlond, and the embassy entourage half to death with her crazy "Human" driving in the armored limo they took. Sorry Tóriel, but this isn't the Third Age, you know... As per both sentiment and protocol, all flags in Wagdog and its embassies abroad were at half-staff for the occasion; and had been since Pearce's death was announced, as part of a full week of national mourning.
When at the funeral, Friedrich thought the choice of music quite appropriate. Pearce had never been afraid to speak his mind, either to her or to her country, in the brief time she'd known him either personally or politically. She might have deemed it foolish or even suicidal at times, such as when his capital had looked to become a war zone at any minute way back when; but she couldn't fault his right to do so all the same. Why is it always the decent capitalists that idiots like the late Michael Shaun Harp get first, insead of real crooks like the Red Mafia or Strator? She thought in silence as the song played on.
Pearce's courage had of course made war between Vetaka and Wagdog a distinct possibility back when Lefanistan's lesser half had been doing its worst, or was suspected of such by credible intelligence on Wagdog's part, both during the collapse of the Anti-Slavery Innocence Conference and the ongoing war in Zanski. And equally, why is it always the worst allies that good men like Pearce end up having to defend, and when they either know or should that it's the others' fault too? Pearce's sense of honor was refreshing, sure, but his taste in allies was hardly equal to it; especially as far as Leafanistan goes. The Red Mafia's just toasting this all I'm sure, since they get off Scott-free as things stand with our limited power right now. And what makes it even worse still is that... is that my husband and I were just like that kid once. Just like him, so long ago... The sobs began to come as Christine remembered this uncomfortable truth from her own college years.
By all rights, we should've gotten about as far as this kid too. Only whereas we improbably-enough won a country with our little suicide-pact-inspired revolution and kept our lives, plus knocking off some truly vile petty despots in the process, this kid had to choose an honest man to kill instead and threw his life away for nothing; to either the Revolution's end or Humanity's. Typical. Christine was only mildly shocked when the tears began, but she steeled herself to hold them in. God, I hope you're laughing very hard right now if you or others like you even exist! A ha-ha funny sight, isn't it; me, crying over a capitalist? Over a man who even called himself 'Lord-Governor' like some old colonial potentate? What sort of comm... But Tóriel put one arm around Christine and hugged her silently, elven strength showing but not overpowering either.
"You are no less for your grief, Comrade." Christine found Tóriel's whispered usage in response to her shudders surprisingly sincere, considering. Elves apparently were very good at reading body language, even if not minds as such. Like most of her kind, Lady Tóriel could care less for Marxism or the various political systems that sprang from it. But in the Elves' minds, at least as much as Wagdog's small and replacement-growth-only community let them be known, the "Old Allegiances" as they called them still had to be honored. Even if one party therein had taken a decidedly unpalatable course of their own in social terms... "Indeed, it shall make you stronger. Those who show honor to us deserve it in return, even if possibly our enemies at any moment; else we are no better than Morgoth." She let that last whisper sink in as the song continued playing.
Indeed. Christine had to hand it to Lady Tóriel, even if she just embraced her back while wiping her tears silently. The popular epithet of the elven-dominated Greenwood Coalition of conservationist and petty-conservative parties, "The Conscience of the General Secretary," sure was living up to itself now. Or Stalin; even if those Vampires we have to make room for too, and the humans who follow them for whatever reason, insist that we have a Stalinist party for them to posture in... One thing was certain, neither Christine nor her husband would let their opposition to the Red Mafia or the Corporate Alliance provoke war with Vetaka; no, with Pearce even if only in spirit, unless the Mafia or the Alliance struck first.
Although still technically a thought, an attentive listener would be able to hear it whispered nonetheless by Deputy General Secretary Christine Friedrich.
Farewell, Lord-Governor Pearce. I swear my husband and I shall carry on your work; we'll show Strator and the Mafia and others still that Freedom cannot be denied. That the Revolution, whichever one is in fashion, continues! For Vetaka! For the Dominion! For us all!

As Eva Cassidys Song played the mourners began to be overwhelemd by their sorrow and grief. Eventually when it finished the Tribal Warlock took the stand again he looked at the crowd and began:

"Ladies and Gentleman before we make the short trip to the burial site of Daniel Pearce which is just behind me in the tress his successor to the Presidency and one of his closest friends has a few words to say Ladies and Gentleman Dominion of Vetaka President Roxanne Wright."

As the warlock sat down a tearful Vetakan President stood and walked to the podium she tried to wipe away the tears more just replaced them so she left it and spoke while crying. She now looked into a TV Camera to the rear of the Funeral all of Vetaka was now watching this Funeral so as to mourn their loss she began:

"Daniel was a great man. A man whom was cut down in his prime and his fight to rid the world of evil through todays modern evils such as oppression and slavery unlike most he understood why some nations use Slvaery to aid their economy although he wanted to rid the world of the vile practice he knew that would only happen if those nation whom practiced it where supported enough to remove it themselves. During his work on the international scene he was always trying to attain peace and mediate nations altough he was always trying for peace and avoid conflict he was never afraid to fight for it. I as his successor vow to you in a Vetakan Oath of Loyalty that I will continue his course and his policy. Vetaka has no grudges with Communism. The man whom gunned down Daniel was failed by the Vetakan State. The murderer was man whom was failed by the Vetakan Mental Health unit whom failed to give him the help he needed and Daniel was failed by the Vetakan Defence Force for not protecting him. I call upon you to not let his death be vein and help me to continue his fight to attain peace and freedom the world over. For Vetaka!!! For the Dominion!!!"

She then left and took her seat. Almost like clock work the guards in the aisle marched to flank the coffin the coffin bearers picked it up and in perfect formation the coffin was carried to its burial place followed by the those the guests of the funeral.

OOC: The thrid and Final Part will be coming later. Anybody even if you haven't previously post will have the chance to place anything within the coffin.

Roberts sat as he watched the new President, a tearful new President, give her speech. Even Roberts, who had seen some of the worst atrocities the human race had to offer and did not cry, was moved by this. Ths was a nation the he had grown to respect and Pearce a man he respected. His early death was a true loss to the world. Roberts had hoped they would be friends. In his hand Roberts held a Londim Lily, which was a rare plant found in the mountains of Londim and had become a symbol to help the deceased spirit enter the afterlife peacefully. This was his final gift to Pearce.

As the procession came to the pre dug grave the Guardsman took up 2 parallel lines and stood down. The guests surrounded the grave and as the coffin was lowered the tribal-warlock chanted a passage from the Tribal Book of the White-Phoenix. As he did so the Vetakan flag was drapped over his grave and his Rifle that all Tribesman made at 14 was loaded and placed on top of his coffin he would need it in the afterlife. As all this was going on the crowd could here the far off bang of 48 guns firing high within the Rogers Mountain that overlooked Theeb and the Palace to mark Pearce's burial. The Warlock then turned to the guests and shouted:

"Anybody whom wishes to give somthing to Daniel for his journey into the afterlife is free to do so. Please just place it into his grave."

The various guests stepped forward silently and some tearfully placing items into his grave.

OOC1: Please feel free to RP placing stuff into his grave.

Paul Nighl began to slowly make his way to the ever-growing mob of people waiting patiently to give the former President their gifts. Nighl, a foreign ambassador of Fallible, was given the Fallible Justice, a medal in the shape of a cross; the medal given to all members of the army who had served in a successful war.
It was by no means the most prestigious of gifts anyone had to offer that day but it symbolised that although the President had died he had accomplished his goal of bringing peace to Veteka, even if it was for a short period of time.
As the mob dissolved Nighl had his opportunity to hand over the medal, taking it out of it's box and laying it to rest with the President. The Federation of Fallible had not dealt with the the nation of Veteka in the past but in it's time of need the Fallible nation would not stand idly by and allow another nation to suffer alone; perhaps this is what it meant to be a free nation.
Animarnia
12-03-2007, 18:42
Rene was dressed in the traditional Animarnia funeral death unlike most countries where passing was mourned as something of great sadness; Animarnian's didn't morn the passing of the person in the traditional way; they instead celebrated the persons life. Sad not because hey were gone but happy because they existed. The traditional Animarnia funeral dressed consisted of several different colours of robes intermixed to create a tye die of colour.

She kneeled slowly by the grave; and placed a single bullet onto the coffin; "A bullet always tells the truth. The gunshot sets us free; we are prisoners until our chains are broken and we are set free" she said quietly to herself

Rene sung the Animarnia Song of death quietly; but despite her best efforts to keep her voice low; undoubtedly some of the other attendees would hear the words.

Closed behind our mighty armour, Beyond which none can fly
This world is safe from pain and strife, We need not fear the sky
We have not fought for countless years, We have no need to cry
War and death are forgotten fears, Here we never die

We close our eyes and shut our ears, We must never, never try
To break the bonds of this holy sphere, Or we will surely die

As a younger man, And I dream of distant lands
I wonder where I could learn more, Go beyond these ancient walls
Go beyond these ghostly halls, Go beyond, And beyond

You do not see what we have seen. The dangers are too many to ignore
Stay behind these ancient walls, Stay within these ghostly halls
Stay behind, Stay behind

This life is not what I expect, All I know is I must explore
Go beyond this life of waste, Go beyond this bitter taste
Go beyond, And beyond, Go beyond, I want more

If you must leave me. Then I guess that you don't care
And should you return, You know I won't be there, Close your eyes,
Stay here with me, You can't save our world, From its destiny
So leave me, Just say goodbye, For I no longer care

If only he could understand, How my heart is true, If only he would care for me, But there's no more I can do, I wish that he, Would choose to stay
To be with me, Not go away, If only he would understand, But there's nothing I can do

We have been living in a dream, We have been living in a dream
It's time to wake up and truly see, Our lives have been so empty until now
But death will come and free us, Death will release us
It all makes senseless sense to us somehow, For too long we've cheated death
The sweet relief of our final breath, Sweet relief, Sweet relief
We want it now

We welcome death with open hearts, We welcome death with open hearts
We feel life now that the dying starts, It all makes senseless sense to us somehow
So let us rejoice in our death, The sweet relief of our final breath
Sweet relief, Sweet relief
Sweet relief, Sweet relief

if this should be our final stand, We will stand together with pride
We will honor the past, and fight to the last, It will be a good way to die

It matters not if the cause is lost, And we cannot stop the tide
We will fight to the end, and then fight again. It will be a good way to die

Our time is short, Our chance is grim, But I will not give in To fear
I can face death With an open heart, If I know that you Are near
And if I must die, I'll be with you, Full of pride At your side
I live now for you my love It's a good way to die

So I say farewell To you, it was a good day to die.

Her voice was very angelic in some ways; taking on a distict Irish tone.

On Illin Sha

Shule, shule, shule aroon,
Shule go succir agus, shule go kewn,

Iss guh day thoo avorneen slawn.

The song finished and she stood and took her place back with the others.

(Tranlation for Gaelic:
Now you’ll never die Cause you live on inside me
This Ireland, My Ireland
Come, come, come, o love,
Quickly come to me, softly move;
Come to the door, and away we’ll flee,
And safe for aye may my darling be)

As she approached the grave, Christine found the White Phoenix tribe's customs in this matter quite appropriate, and even comforting despite her vacillation between agnosticism and atheism on most days. Buried with your rifle and your flag; a medal for your efforts, and lilies for your grave. That's the way to go, Lord-Governor. She withdrew her gift from her black dress blouse's pocket.
She and Lady Tóriel had discussed what would be appropriate for the sort of gift Christine had in mind ever since deciding to come. It had been obvious in a way, with only finding an authentic example being the cause of any delays. The green armband with crossed machete, gear and Kalashnikov, symbol of the original Wagdoggie Green Party as it had existed before the elves appeared and gained political predominance in it under the "Greenwood Coalition" name, struck Christine as more than appropriate for a man both a revolutionary and yet of his land and people in the traditional sense.
Whispering without care whether she was heard, "Always unto Victory, Comrade Pearce...", Deputy General Secretary Christine Friedrich tossed the guerrilla's armband, itself formerly the property of a certain Avalon Davies, an old sorority friend of hers who'd defected with her and Carolinus so long ago on their bizarre little lark that turned into a revolution; and who despite being the original Green in what had at first been intended as a standard one-party Red movement, before the two women convinced Carolinus that perhaps such might best be broadened while that could still happen effortlessly, hadn't lived to see their fight's final victory thanks to a sadistic enemy Captain's last murderous grasp for vengeance before his justly-earned defeat. "This will show the ancestors you come under a friendly banner, I'm sure. You've earned it, many times over even before we met without question; and I know Avalon would be happy that hers is now yours. Tell her when you see her that I'll be a while, but I think I'll be able to come to her someday. Farewell..."
That said and done, she and Lady Tóriel both left for others to go pay their respects. The elven ambassador had been quietly singing an old Sindarin funeral lament, one Christine had been too caught up in reminscence to really catch, before it was over as well. They both made their way back to the circle of mourners and stood dourly, as was called for on such an occasion.

As all of the guests had finished giving their gifts it was amazing for Roxanne now President of Vetaka to see just how many people had respected the previous President. She hadn't bothered to put on make up as their was no point she had cried all of the way. She was now the last person to give her gift it was the gift of the Vetakan People to their lost Leader. It was a Sword a sword that had been crafted by the White-Phoenix tribe itself it was made of platintum and encrusted with diamonds the handle was shaped to that of a Phoenix and along the blade where the words "In Death You Protect Me" meaning that the Sword would Protect Pearce in death she placed it on the coffin stood up and nodded at a couple of men whom immediatly began to shovel the earth into the hole as they did it the Black Guardsman whom had formed two lines began to fire their rifles into the air to mark the Pearce's Path to the Heavens. The Grave Stone of Pearce contained his name his date of birth his rank both politically and military and also "In Death You Will Always Guide Us" meaning that even in death Daniel Pearce the 1st Vetakan President would lead and inspire the nations leaders for generations to come. The guests moved off and dispirsed and made the short stroll back up the path to the beautiful Presidential Palace for a party to celebrate Pearces Life.

OOC: Sorry to be out of sequence a little; I haven't seen this thread for a couple of days

IC: Peterson and Mason placed their things in the coffin, in Peterson's case, a farewell card signed by all the members of the Labour Party in both the lower and upper houses, and in Mason's case, a small image signifing co-operation.

Soon after that, the funeral came to an end, and Peterson and Mason walked quietly toward the Presidental Palace. For the two of them, normally enemies in the House, it was a strange twist of events - they were now no longer enemies - at least while they were in Vetaka
