Hiding in a small office in a wing of the capitol not being used by the invasion troops, a member of a small, embattled region sends out a desperate telegram, hoping, praying that someone will receive it and send help.
On the other end of a teletype, Tropical sits, reading the newspaper, head nodding occasionally as the boredom of the day acts as a stealty sandman.
Suddenly, the teletype kicks into action. The sound startles Trop, who sits up with refreshed attention. 'What's this?'
Five invaders STOP genocide of natives STOP need freedom fighters and decoys STOP situation dire STOP Holy Land democracy needs help against fascists STOP
After checking the available intelligence, Tropical determined that the current Delegate of Holy Land is a nation formerly ousted and exiled from that region, returned to wreak vengeance against the peace loving natives of the region.
Thus far, a strategy of sending in a steady stream of freedom fighters has been working to keep the tyrant spending his Influence, trying to keep him from gaining enough to eject the last bastion of native holdouts.
We are sending what reinforcements we can, but this battle will be long and bloody if more help does not come in strong waves.
