CONSTANTINOPLE, BALKAN UNION
"It's been several months...no response from them." Prime Minister Crvenkovski was at the Balkan Union's Black Sea Fleet's base, extending out of Thrace. "We will send them one last message." (See: General IC thread for SYAE for previous two)
"But Dragiša..." President Koštunica looked up from various paperwork. "We warned them around six months ago that if they don't respond...and they didn't respond...that we would annex Cyprus. Why don't we do that?"
"Mr. Koštunica, it would seem more official if we were to send them one last notice. If they don't get this one, who knows? We might as well annex all of their nation. It's not like any of them read letters, let alone declarations of war."
IC:
To: The Goverment of Nuevo-Italia
Listen, we have sent you several official notices regarding the province of Greece. Greece has been part of our history for nearly a thousand years, and you come along and take it from us. We have Greece under our claims, and we even administer the Macedonian region. Your leadership is pitiful, and you have not responded to the monthly notices requesting you give Greece back to it's rightful owner.
I am saying this one last time. Hand over Greece now. Your lack of response is really starting to piss me off, a simple messaging stating "No." would make me more elated than not a single notice from your nation. You have not done anything with Greece at all, the Hellenic people would much rather be part of former Byzantium than you Italians.
If you do not respond in one month's time, look at a map. See who's closest to both Greece and Cyprus? See who has a navy capable of shutting off both nations from Italy? Yeah, we know the answer. One month, Nuevo-Italia. One month.

OOC: Sorry, been busy.

Listen, your not about to get any territory. Now go back to your little rathole, try and send your little tiny Soviet-Era military down to Greece. I hope you like to be squished.

OOC: Yeah, real busy. *notices how you post 600,000 things and none of them about SYAE*
SIC:
"RATHOLE NATION?!" President Zoran Koštunica screamed. "HOW THE FUCK DARE HE CALL US A FUCKING RATHOLE NATION?!"
"Calm down, Zora." Crvenkovski was cool about it. "Let them think that we have Soviet Era technology only...they don't know about the F-16s, F-35s that we're most likely getting in several years, F-4s, or those three hundred Leopard2A4s we have. (ooc:info taken from Wikipedia in the Turkish Armed Forces page and rightful subdivisions). We'll send some frigates down to Cyprus. Blockade the island but when asked let certain ships go through, then...I don't know. Have a 'Chilean' submarine sink it. Have it scramble away, clear it from any background to us. No single guiney is getting into Cyprus. And look at it, this stupid guiney has no grammatical skills whatsoever."
"If we're not getting the F-35s for several years, why mention them now?!" Koštunica screamed. "How the bloody hell is that going to help us from those damned Italians?"
"It's not, but we don't have rat hole Soviet technology to mention."
"But a significant amount of our army is 'rathole Soviet' or based on 'rathole Soviet', you know he's right."
~~~~~~~
Five hours after Crvenkovski's message, ten Type 209 submarines and fifteen Kılıç class fast attack missile boats motioned towards the island of Cyprus. Twenty F-16s took off from a Bucharest Military Base and headed to Cyprus as well.
OOC: Hey man you might want to watch out, Cyprus is very heavily defended by a crapload of Socialist and Communist pigs.
IC: I'd be glad to offer assistance, I'm looking for an excuse to reenter the Cypriot conflict.
OOC: Jaredcohenia, you don't have any F-35's that I am aware of, neither the CSA or Exaltia ever sold a single aircraft to you as far as I know. Sorry to rain on your parade seeing as how we are now allied and all.
Lists that Turkey's order for 100 F-35s were approved in mid-December '06, and if we're doing 6 days = 1 year like it said in that topic, I should have them by now.
Actually he'e right; they've put in an order for 100 F-35A's; so per your rules he'd be allowed 100 or less I imagine
ooc: pardon the intrusion but a few notes:
(1) technology does not win the war, so long as the brains behind the war aren't as lackluster.
(2) I thought we were using the 12 days = 1 year convention; but in any case, it has been 4 years since when we started officially {I use the date of ascension of my Emperor as the date this RP starts, although that date in fact predates the restart}. If using the 6 days = 1 year convention, it would be at best 8 years. If you read through the links citing Turkey's purchase of the F-35 aircraft, the first delivery is dated 2014:
http://www.defensenews.com/story.php?F=2509961&C=airwar
Ankara announced in early December its plans to buy 100 F-35s in a program worth some $11 billion over the next 20 years.
Deliveries are planned to begin in 2014 and, as a stop-gap solution to meet its Air Force’s needs until then, Turkey also has decided to buy 30 new F-16 Block 50 fighters worth $1.65 billion. Lockheed Martin leads the JSF effort and manufactures the F-16.
A.) We're not using six days = one year, we're using twelve days = one year.
B.) I already mentioned the issue of the F-35, not even America is allowed to have more than a couple dozen at the start because the aircraft won't enter production for another five years and foreign orders, with the exception of the UK who contributed so much to the design of the aircraft, will be pushed to the back of the line. If you want the Lightning II you are gonna have to talk to Carloginia and arrange a sale.
A: Alright, I thought in the main thread I read somewhere that it was 6days=1 year. My mistake, I'll edit accordingly.
B: I read on wikipedia that Turkey ordered 100, and I wasn't sure on when they were going to be sold/made. I did not read the link cited in the wikipedia article, but I can tell you basically everything else. Turkey's even working on the production (not as much as the USA or UK most likely, but Turkey's trying. The best he can do is try is hardest ;; )
So yeah, I'll edit the post into saying that I have rat hole soviet weaponry. Yay, soviet weaponry.
