A Midnight Slaying [attn Honako]
Off the coast of Honako
22:00
An Oslean Seawolf class submarine surfaced about 2 kilometers off the coast of Honako. Six men jumped out of the entry hatch, and pulled out an inflatable motorized boat. Using a simple bike pump they inflated it quickly. Each man was dressed in full black combat fatigues, and each has a night vision scope strapped to their head. An M24 Sniping System was slung around two men's backs, and the other four men held suppressed HK MP5A2s. A man with experience in the Oslean military could tell you that these were Oslean Rangers.
The men quickly jumped in the boat and made their way to the coast as the submarine went back to the depths of the ocean, waiting for the Rangers to come back.
---
23:00
The men got to shore and quickly left their inflatable boat on the shore. "Nobody's gonna think it's from us." One Ranger thought.
"Alright, here's the review of the plan they gave us back at home," One Ranger whispered. "We make our way into these targets here, provided by our friends in the Smokers Union. Fire Team Alpha, you will assassinate Maxime Tora, codenamed "Dog", a Defence Commissioner living on the west side of Honako. Fire Team Bravo, you will assassinate Gauthier Lens, another member of the Defence Commission. He is living at this intersection here."
The Ranger points at a spot in the map.
"You should be able to head to the destinations by vehicles conveniently donated by insiders here in Honako. We will infiltrate, execute, and head to the extraction point at the coast by 2:00. Each Fire Team will have 2 Gunners and 1 Sniper. Any questions?"
"Uh, yeah," he thought for a moment. "What's Lens's codename?"
"Cat." The Ranger leader replied.
The two vehicles that the insiders provided were less than half a kilometer away from where the two Fire Teams were. They each jumped into one, and went their different ways.
---
Residence of Maxime Tora, Honako
23:45
"Alright, everyone out," the driver whispered to his teammates. They were one block away from Tora's house. They traversed the block and their eyes were met with a huge house with a stone fence.
"That thing's huge!" one gunner exclaimed.
"Shh. I don't think it's a good idea to scale the fence. Let's move around the perimeter."
To the Ranger's luck, they found a window on the second floor with a light on. The silhouette of a man was typing away at his computer at the window, his right side facing the Rangers.
"Oh sweet! This one's gonna be easy." The sniper said about the relative easiness of the operation. He took a shot. "BOOM!" The rifle, unfortunately, was very loud. The shot shattered the glass, and Tora's body slumped over and fell on the floor.
"We got the Dog!" Fire Team Alpha reported.
---
Residence of Gauthier Lens, 23:37
"Aight, we're here. Let's move!"
The Rangers stopped a block away, like Fire Team Alpha, from the residence of the target. Fire Team Bravo decided to run through an alleyway to get to the residence, but one Ranger tripped over what happened to be a young couple having a moment to themselves. He didn't notice them in the dark until now.
"You know command's orders. No one knows about this." Fire Team Bravo's leader ordered one of the gunners to shoot and kill. The Fire Team dropped their bodies in a dumpster and moved on with the mission.
"I feel bad about doing that..." The Gunner who killed the couple told his Fire Team Leader.
"Focus on the mission!" He replied.
They got to Lens's residence. It was just a house, albeit a big house, missing the fence Tora's house had. None of the lights were on, so the Rangers decided on a different plan that didn't involve a sniper.
"Alright, let's break and enter. Then we move out. Understand?"
One of the Rangers kicked the door open. Each one split up and sweeped a different part of the house. The sniper took the first floor, one gunner took the basement, and one took the second floor.
The gunner on the second floor walked down the hallway when he saw a decorated baby's room right beside a closed door. Oddly, the baby was still sound asleep. He already had a heavy conscience from killing the couple, but now he was going to orphan a baby. The gunner shook the thoughts from his heads and opened the door, which had a man pointing a pistol at him and a woman cowering behind him. The man, who was Gauthier Lens, wasn't expecting a kick from the Ranger, and fell down after being hit with the Ranger's foot. The Ranger then shot him and his wife, and reported to them team "We got the Cat." Hoping no one traces back to them, Fire Team Bravo got in their car and sped back to the extraction zone, which was the place on the coast they landed on.

High Commissioners Residence, Liche
Mrs Bourla Parkins was startled as the phone began to ring sharply. Removing her face mask she slowly picked up the holder and as the man on the other end delivered the message to her, her face grew paler.
“Mrs. Parkins, two members of the Commission, both on our defence commission, Maxime Tora and Gauthier Lens, have been brutally murdered this morning. Both were avid supporters of our banning of tobacco smoking and it is feared by many that this could not just be The Smokers Union – but that the international community could be involved. We suspect anyone who has condemned our attacks on the Union.”
Mrs. Parkins was silent. She never thought that a country own affairs could be dragged out into the international stage like this. How could these attackers ignore the fact that thousands of innocents had been killed by The Union rebels, the fact that despite the ban infringing on the civil rights over half Honako’s population was addicted to smoking? The health risk was massive.
She sternly replied to the man on the phone, who happened to be Commissioner Robert Niles.
“We shall call a meeting of the commission. Now. This is a national crisis; we don’t want a war on our hands. Who’s the main suspect? “
“It could be anyone of the nations that have voiced against the ban, but…we suspect Oslea.”
To: All Nations Concerned
This evening two members of Honako’s defence Commission were slain murderously by assassins in there homes. This attack has sent our Commission in shockwaves as to who would do it over our internal affairs. Yes, we believe that this act of murder was carried out due to the fact our government saved our nation from a life of ill health by banning Smoking twenty years ago. Recently the Smokers Union, an organization that has killed thousands of innocent in the name of legalised smoking, have returned to terrorize our small nation.
But we do not believe this attack was carried out by them, they do not have the training or equipment to be so deadly stealthy. We fear that the meddling nation of Oslea have decided to enforce there views against us by assisting the Smokers Union in there cause and doing there dirty work for the Union.
We do not have the strength to declare war on this nation, but we are appalled by there actions if they did commit this crime. Although they have yet to admit responsibility, we know that they are the attackers from various sources. We wish for this savage nation to be condemned and it’s government removed for it’s unprovoked attack on our nation, which it can’t justify as it should of stayed out of our affairs.
So to all nations, we do not wish to have war – we have enough terror problems in our nation already. But if this is a declaration of war, we wish you to help us.
Mrs. Bourla Parkins,
High Commissioner Of The Honako Independence Commission

The call to arms for the nation of Honoka was heard. All ready the tracks of varoius tanks had been wheeled and ready to go. The Military Chief of Staff meetings had already been ajourned and the hundred generals had been sent to their combat units, ready for a large scale war.
A draft was not needed as the Neo-Buddhist ways called for all ablied body men and women to serve in the Cnian army for atleast five years, thus making the ranks of the Cnian army at 19.5 million troops, twelve million of which were ready for overseas combat.
The mainland of the Cnian nation had already thousands of SCUD missles in place, but hundreds more were being errected sparratically across the coastline. The Cnian fleet was prepared for war and thousands of troop deployment ships were being created in the twenty-seven major port towns of Buddha C.
The Cnian airforce, strategic bombers to the Su-47's were prepped for war, thousands ready to shoot off their landing pads in the protection of a solemn land, hell and all.
The Cnian Yjamos, or regular army, had their dedicated and well-trained troops drilled over and over again. The highly-mobilized, highly armoured units were war ready withen a week, making it so any assualt or defensive occupation was possible by the Yjamos or any other Cnian military corps.

Official Statement of the Federation of Oslea
We condemn the Oppressed Peoples of Honako for coming to such a quick conclusion over nearly no evidence at all that the Federation was involved in such an atrocity. The government of Honako should be ashamed of falsely accusing the Federation for the deaths of Mr. Tora and Mr. Lens.
[ooc: (to Honako) Are you landlocked or do you have a sea near your nation? Also, is your nation paranoid about non-Honako planes flying overhead? This will determine how I do supply drops for the Smokers Union, and how I deploy my troops. Oh, and this is my last post for the day.
And Buddha C, I guess you can join in since that post there said "All nations".]

Official Communique' to the Federation of Oslea
Your repremendation is sickening. It is clear that you advocated the Smokers Union's actions whiles other would not. What nationel would consider you not to be the criminial at large here. Also the several bullet cases found near a gunned down lead have been proven to come from Oslean origin. Also what member of the Smokers Union would find it neccesary to kill such an innocent couple, surely they would have their spies point out the clearest location as to not come in contact with another. Along with the expertly executed plan, this is deffiently of a trained military origin.
T0: All Nations Concerned
Honako thanks you Buddha for your helpful assistance in this war on terror and all it's supporters. As you have said, numerous evidence has been found linking the attacks back to Oslea. We did not want a war, but Oslea obviously has failed 1) to admit responsiblity and 2) to open diplomatic relations. Therefore you troops will be welcomed as we must defend ourselves from them. We also call on our allies to help us.
We thank you again, The Honako Independence Commission
OOC: Firstly, I do not want a major massacre of a war with Oslea where my whole nation is in tatters. Secondly I do have a map, and we are landlocked - look here (http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/4602/honakomaprj5.png).

17:41, Amber Crown Airforce Base
A C-5 Galaxy filled with many rounds of ammunition, many M16A4s, some attached with grenade launchers, fragmentation and smoke grenades, sniper rifles, and Javelin missile launchers was getting ready to take off from the airstrip. Four OSF-26 fighters were escorting it.
"All right, let's go! We need to get these supplies to the Smokers Union ASAP." the air traffic controller said to the pilot.
"Ok, ok, I'm just making sure we're ready. Damn, it's cloudy. Fly low, I won't see nothin' from up there."
"Don't get shot down, there's a hell of a lot of stuff in there ya know."
"Don't worry, that's why we have Cougar Team with us."
"Aight. Drop em off at the designated spot, the Smokers Union will know where to pick em up." the air traffic controlled told the pilot.
The five aircraft took off and headed for the nearest sparsely populated area near Liche.

Official Communique of the Federation to Buddha C
We remind you that any criminal organization could have stolen Oslean ammunition and used it for their own purposes. Other than that, the Federation has no comment.
Outpost Of The Honako Air Commission, Somewhere near Liche
The faces of the two emotionless guards in the outpost grew grim as they stared blankly into the misty night sky. Since the nation had been placed on high alert all air outposts in Honako had been told that there must be 24 hour surviallance of the skys - Luther and Jerome had not seen there family in days.
The cold air was creeping in and Luther was pondering on whether this job was right for him, maybe a bankers job he could get from his wifes dad would be better, when suddenly there was a signal on the radar. Quickly it disappeared from detection but the two men were confused - no flights had been planned here this night.
In the nights sky he could see a outline of a small cargo plane, and one which upon trying was not connected to the specialized Honako airforce transmittor. It was not of there airforce.
Jerome blasted his message into his radio "We have sighted a plane heading over the small village of Gernate. We request immediate troops to investigated the land area, theres only one so we think it could just be a drop off. We also request urgent military plane assistance to disarm it"
"Are you sure?" Came the voice of a tired man from the radio.
"Yes"
"Assistance is on its way then"
Jerome was intrigued. He knew it would be too late by the time the planes got there, and defiantly by the time the soliders had come to trace who was picking up a possible drop-off - but he had a pretty good idea who the drop off was for, and he was worried.
18:46, Amber Crown Airforce Base
"Wow, that was pretty easy. We got no resistance at all!" The C-5 Galaxy pilot talked with his fellow pilots at the airforce base while eating a plate of fries. He had just dressed into his casual clothing and was just relaxing now.
"Hey, did the Smokers over there get our packages?" the C-5 pilot asked a man at the base.
"Well..."

18:48, Honako, Smokers Union convoy
The men had finished loading up crates of weapons and supplies into their trucks. The pickups weren't military quality, since the Union had to be creative with what they had. However with this shipment of weapons, the Union wouldn't have to be resourceful any longer.
One of the men loading up the crates into the pickups asked if he could open one to see what was inside.
"NO! You know troops are gonna be here soon. We gotta move!"
The convoy moved out and headed back to the nearest sewer entrance connected to Liche. Quickly, they unloaded the crates and slowly moved them inside the sewer system. They left before troops could respond.
---
19:23, Sewer System of Honako
"WHOA! M249s!" A young 20-ish year old man exclaimed as he saw the many guns inside the crates. He grabbed a M249 and loaded an ammo box into it, and fired it into the wall.
"MISSILE LAUNCHERS!" The man dropped his M249 and grabbed a Javelin. The weight was immense, but he was able to hold one and load a missile in it.
"Hey, you're not firing that in here." a smoking 40-ish year old man told him. "You'll kill all of us."
A woman searched through the crates and picked up a block of C4. "Wow. Imagine the stuff we can blow up with this..."
The same man who held the M249 and the Javelin searched through the boxes and threw aside MREs, lanterns, grenade boxes, flashlights, bottles of water, and other random things until he found an M16 with a grenade launcher. He was about to pick it up when someone told him to quit looking for stuff and go do something else.

XIX Augemented Armoured Core, IX Infantry Core, V Armoured Core:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The XIX AA Core, along with the IX and the V Cores had landed fifty kilometers East of the capitol of Honoka, Liche. The five thousand T-90S's along with a mass of BMP-3's road across the the fifty kilometer stretch at fourty k/p/h, making it there quickly.
The total number of SCUD missle platforms they could raise was in the number of two hundred, and the Stinger systems where equipped in each squad, making the number of in ten thousand.
The infantry's first stragetic move was to establish an un-broken linked trenchline threw out, also greating bunkers at spots every twenty meters. The cement and other supplies needed to make the bunkers where air-dropped via a fleet of C-5's, accompinied by the Guardian's of the city, Su-47 fighters.
07:40, War Room, Amber Crown
Oslean Military Command had requested to send Rangers to help train and fight with the Smokers Union, but was unsure on how to insert them within Honako. Generals had decided insertion via land was too risky, so they asked the pilot who made the supply drop to the Smokers Union what resistance they encountered.
"We had NONE," he reported. "There's nothing there. Just clear, open skies."
"Hmm.. probably not anymore. I have a feeling they saw you but they just couldn't scramble fighters fast enough. I want an OSF-26 Hydra wing to scout Honako before we airdrop our Rangers in C-5 Galaxys, along with some vehicles." the General thought out loud.
"Well, contact the Air Force. Get them to scramble 4 jets to Honako."
15 minutes later, Cougar Wing, the same wing that escorted the C-5 Galaxys, took off for Honako.
08:41, Near Honako Airspace
<Hey! Clear skies today. I can see a lot.>
"Are you in Honako airspace yet Cougar wing?" Air Command asked the leader.
<Nope. Nearing it. We can't see Honako ground.>
"Let's see, you're pretty close to Honako. Keep your guard up, and see what you can see on the ground."
<Alright. Cougar Wing, stay tight.>
OOC: I was just about to post this but now it doesn't really make sense..oh well.
The Night Beforehand
Lt. Marcus Redman felt the breeze ruffle through his long messy hair as the small army vehicle sped through the Honako countryside. In the dark the beautiful trees and fields of the hilly marsh area outside of Liche looked threatening and unwelcoming, unlike them in the day. Just ahead he could see another 5 or 6 vehicles of similar nature, and a few dozen troops scouring a hill. He was approaching the site.
As the car pulled up on the muddy trail he saw an array of men walking around aimlessly, trying to find some clue or hope in the rubble all around the drop off site. The symbol on the plane had been unknown to the outpost watchmen, and Redman was confused as to whom would help terrorists who massacred thousands – but he was sure the Commission had an idea.
He looked around him and it was obvious the place had been deserted hours ago, a drop off for the Smokers Union they thought, scattered empty boxes and the odd leftover cigarettes were everywhere. But Marcus feared this drop off contained more than cigarettes, but weapons and explosives, something that the Union lacked now all there accounts had been frozen. He knew that when he reported this back to the Commission they would not be pleased. There enemies had preached the border and had begun helping terrorists, this was a sign of war from whoever had done this.
Official Statement Too All Nations From The Oppressed Peoples Of Honako
In light of recent events it has been decided that currently all non-commercial aircraft from nations other than Honako are banned from flying over our country. This is for our safety. Any military aircraft spotted flying over our country which is not equipped with the special Honako military aircraft transmitter will be given a warning to turn around, and if that warning is ignored, will be shot down. There will be no excuses.
All allies of our nation will be provided with a special transmitter for there aircraft if they wish to fly over Honako.
Thank you,
The Honako Independence Commission
08:45, Honako Airspace
The 4 OSF-26 Aircraft flew on into the borders of Honako. They spotted SCUD launchers and bunkers on the ground.
<Oh snap. They got themselves some defenses.>
"Ok. Cougar Wing, what do you see?"
<Uh.. Some big missile launcher things.. Looks like SCUDS... And.. some tanks... Can't tell what model they are from up here... They can't be M1A1s though. And..uh... bunkers.. of some sort. Heh, their government got scared.>
"Recieved. Cougar Wing, please remain in the area to see what air defenses they have. Since you are using stealth aircraft, turn on your afterburners to high heat so they can see your heat signature, and the bright engine flare from your engines. It is a clear day, after all. You're sure to get noticed."
The pilot didn't think that there would be any sightings of planes that morning. He thought this whole trip he was on was a waste of fuel. But, suddenly as clear as the sky he noticed a plane very similar to the one that had been spotted the night before. This time, he thought, it would not get away with it.
As he had thought it did not have the special Honako transmitter, so he used a normal one and managed to make contact with the plane. Calmly he spoke into his holder:
"This is a pilot of the Honako Airforce. You do not have access to be over this airspace. Turn around now or you will be shot down. I repeat turn around now or you will be shot down."
He waited for a response, but called in backup just in case.
On the ground troops where running around everywhere, readying the SCUD missiles that had been helpfully provided by Honako's newly allied nation. Reports of a plane in the sky had got them alarmed and excited. If it didn't turn around and wasn't shot down in the skies, they'd sure as hell get it.
<Cougar Wing, do not respond. Ready your flare countermeasures, and air-to-air missiles.> Cougar leader told his wingmen.
Cougar wing flew on within Honako, ignoring the threats that were being radioed to them.
[ooc: What model of plane is your Honako Airforce pilot using, just for OOC purposes? Also, it's day, it's 8:45 in the morning, just wanted to point that out.]
<Cougar Wing, do not respond. Ready your flare countermeasures, and air-to-air missiles.> Cougar leader told his wingmen.
Cougar wing flew on within Honako, ignoring the threats that were being radioed to them.
The pilot was shocked that the plane had refused to turn around.
Reinforcements were minutes away and SCUD missiles were ready on the ground, he almost felt a sense of admiration for the people on board the plane and there bravery.
But he dismissed these thoughts and continued to chase the plane, and within minutes in was in its target. He paused ever so slightly before pressing down to fire, thinking maybe he should give it one more chance, but remembered that they were ignoring the law and quickly went on and opened fire. The bullets ripped into the side of the plane, and smoke began to emerge out of its wound. It was damaged, but not down yet.
OOC: Your willing to let your plane be destroyed right, as thats were I was heading and I didn't want someone getting all angry because of it :)
[ooc: Yep. I feel bad for losing a good pilot though.]
<I'm damaged! I can't hold out for much longer!>
<Cougar 3, eject. We'll come back for you.>
Cougar 3 ejected from his OSF-26 Hydra and opened his parachute.
<Cougar 2, intercept that S.O.B. Cougar 4, head back to Amber Crown.>
Cougar 2 quickly turned around and fired an AIM-120 at the Honako aircraft, while Cougars 1 and 4 headed back to Amber Crown Airforce Base. Cougar 2 quickly changed his course after firing the air-to-air missile and went towards home base.
"Cougar wing, we have 3 wings of aircraft circling Amber Crown in case you got someone on your tail, feel free to come back," the aircraft controller told Cougar Wing leader.
<We lost Cougar 3.>
"We know. We'll get him back."
OOC: Are you gonna RP your pilot or something - or do you want my men to catch him and question him?
Up In The Sky
"I've been hit!" The pilot swore under his breathe as he tried to take control of his spinning plane. Due to rushed aim the damage had been minimal, but his plane was in no state to go on. He could see three or four Honako planes in the distance - too late for me he thought, and the other enemy planes seemed to have turned back. But he had destroyed the target and would surely be rewarded for that.
"This is too all reinforcements. The plane is down - as for the pilot...I'm not sure, I think he ejected. My plane is damaged - I'm going to make a landing in the nearest airfield. We disarmed the supply plane. I hope I make it back..."
Down On The Ground
Within minutes a search team of 24 armed military personal had been sent out to the areas where the Cougar had gone down, all coming from a nearby Liche city airbase. It would be around 15 minutes before they got to the scene. Their mission - to find the pilot and bring him back for questioning. Alive.
[ooc: You can capture my pilot and question him; it's a good incentive to step things up.]
9:37, War Room, Oslea
A General slumped in his chair, unsure of what to do. He wanted to retrieve that pilot back, but Honako was heavily fortified and he needed some way to get him back. A full-scale battle on the border would be too costly; another Special Forces operation from the Rangers could do it.
"Where is the pilot?" A General asked.
"Well, his GPS signal shows him to be somewhere near Liche...I bet his captors will take his GPS transmitter off though."
"Hmm... I want the border bombarded by artillery. Fortify the artillery's location with M1A1 Abrams tanks and some troops, and get some Avengers with Stingers in there. Set up a command post at the artillery site. We'll work from there."
---
19:51, 100 miles from the Honako Border
"Are the M109A6 Paladins set up?"
"Yes sir!"
"Alright. load em, and FIRE!"
The cracks of the artillery firing were extremely loud. Forward observers with night vision goggles, in helicopters, were making sure they weren't hitting any civilian buildings.
The Oslean Army had set up a base in a village far away from Honako, and paid the villagers money (A sum of $50,000 to each of the 1,000 villagers) to let them stay there and set up a base. The ones who refused to let them stay, were arrested and imprisoned, for now. Supplies and vehicles, and soldiers were airdropped into the village. Soldiers were busy setting up the base since 13:00.
20 artillery pieces were pounding Honako's southern border. As they were far away from the border, Honako forces did not know they were here yet. Oslean soldiers had quickly constructed a base with tent to live in, and places to maintain helicopters and machinery. AH-64s were patrolling the perimeter of the base, and M1A1 Tanks were stationed to take out any ground targets. Avengers were sitting at the perimeter too, ready to take out air targets. About 500 soldiers were stationed there.
The pilot was running as fast as he could. He had obviously entered some kind of marsh land, thick with murky water and sticky mud, and covered by trees. Branches flew in his face and he was soaking head to toe, but was still alive. He looked around whilst running and couldn't see the army car anymore. They had found him resting on a tree and he had to fling himself into the dense forest to escape from them. He felt safe, for now, but had no idea how he was going to return to Oslea.
Out of the blue he heard a noise coming from a nearby large bush, and voices. He froze to the spot. The pilot edged himself behind a thick tree trunk, trying to hide from whoever was there. He looked closely and could see two armed military personal. How had they got there!? They emerged from the bush and looked confused, there weapons pointing left right and center. The pilot breathed a sigh of relief and turned around to briskly walk away, only to be greeted by the barrel of a gun...
"Welcome to Honako" A voice whispered to him.
To: All Nations
This evening Honako has been battered by artillery forces, which we can not locate. Again we believe this war crime to have been committed by the restless nation of Oslea. We ask for any military assistance against these attacks which we were unprepared for, and again call on our allies to honor there alliance. Honako is under attack because these madman support a terrorist organization, and we need assistance!
The Honako Independence Commission
Mrs. Parkins looked saddened. She did not want a war, she could not afford a war. Her nation was in turmoil and her people were once blissfully unaware. Now they knew of the danger Oslea faced them. They knew of the attacks as they had been boardcast all over TV, The Commission was too tired of it to prevent them.
"General Isha" Bourla Parkins, High Commissioner of Honako, said.
"Yes High Commissioner" A tall greying man stepped up.
"Prepare our forces to return the artillery, and call our allies. Keep our border troops on alert too."
The shells from the enemy, Oslean, artillery sights had blown several holes in the defence perimeter, along with an estimate of two hundred eight men, forty of which confirmed dead. It was now General Owens, the commander and chief of the campaign in Honoka, decision on how to deal with this threat. His thought and plan was clear, send a team of snipers to find the enemy artillery site.
Sergeant Jerry Arnoldz was the spotter on this mission, along with sniper, Corporal Leon Omali. Omali was armed with a Fabrique Nationale 30-11, armed with twenty 8mm Mauser rounds, his FNX4 scope was stock-fresh and was completely clean by all army standards. Omali himself was a skinny man, as most Yjamos snipers were, smaller targets.
Sergeant Arnoldz was armed with a battery-powered B-17 Kelugg radio system with a range of over five hundred kilometers, his body, un-like Corporal Omali's was thick so he could carry the equipment needed for the mission, which would be un-benoucably long.
Their supplies in total would be in the estimate to last them two weeks for the journey, the first fifty or so kilometers would be taken withen minutes by a troop vehicle. The rest would be a long walk to wherever... they just marched in a direction and hoped they would make it.
They had already gone out-of-country about seventeen miles, the heat getting to them. The sun was already begining to slowly head towards the other side of the globe, brining heat and sunshine to them. It was time to bunker down for the night, and then move out in the morning.
Sergeant Arnoldz would take first shift of, four hours long and then Corporal Omali would be woken for his shift, which would be until the sun had risen, then Arnoldz would wake and they would find themselves on the move again.
The only surrounding brush in the open field was another hundred meters up a hill, in which it was only a square perimeter of fifty meters, though this area did offer some cover. The two dropped their gear and set up camp.
Our largest military base, somewhere near the mountains and the city of Fred, will open it's arms to receive the troops - which can be used for border defenses for the east side, where the attacks are coming from.
At exactly 12:00 in the afternoon, Aurum Terra Time, the huge fleet of airplanes departed. They flew in formation, fighters guarding the cargo and personnel planes of the Imperial Marines and the Special Operations Agents. The forecast was for clear and sunny skys so the flight would be easy. At exactly 4:00 the first fighter touched down. Soon after the entire fleet was landed and the men began to unload the planes. The soldiers were very excited and in high spirits. The Commander made his way to the administrative building to receive orders.
*SECRET SMOKERS UNION* Underground Bunker, Somewhere In Honako
"So, whats the plan of action?" A man with a wheezing voice shouted out from the large group of people.
Lifer looked at the plans laid out before him. Surrounding him was all 106 remaining members of The Smokers Union - plus 254 others who had signed up! He smiled to himself, they had finally gained strength, they had over 20 new faces joining them everyday. In front of him and a simple plan had been devised and plotted -
With the newly supplied C4 and Weapons provided by Olsea they would arm all 302 men who were to be part of the attack. They would break into the Commission Headquarters, in Jabero, at the dead of night via the sewer systems they now knew well. Due to heightened security men now patrolled the sewers, though no more than 25 who could be quietly disposed of my a leakage of fatal gas into the sewers beforehand. All the Unions men would be equipped with a supply of gas masks. Then they would enter into the Center of the Commission HQ, in the Garden Courtyard - and the fight would begin. An estimated 115 well trained guards protected the building, plus numerous booby traps and other defenses. It would not be easy, and many men would die, but Lifer believed it would work.
He looked around as the people surrounding him eagerly awaited a response as to what the plan was. After they had taken the building they would have around three quarters of the Commission held hostage in there, including the High Commissioner, due to them staying over from the night before. The whole building would be rigged with explosive and heavily guarded. This would make them cave into there demands, this would make them legalize smoking.
Lifer, or Adam without the use of his codename, the Head Of The Smokers Union, turned around to face his fellow unionists to announce the coming plans...
Tolvarus requests that our embassy and the other embassies be well defended, and also offers to send 1,000 Imperial Troops to guard Jabero for that purpose and to help keep the peace. We understand your concern about the safety of your ambassador, but assure you that Jabero is well defended - thousands of troops line the streets of our major cities and our Embassies in our political capital are of high priority and heavily defended. "Get down." Ordered Sergeant Arnoldz, calmly. They were rushing threw a pocket of thick foilage. As Omali quickly followed the order he went into a sniper prone position, taking the safety off of his FN 30-11 rifle, and taking off the covering plates from the FNX4 scope. Omali looked down field, approxiamtly six hundred meters he saw a large group of men and several artillery emplacements. "Damn, it's the fucking Paladin artillery site command was bitchin' about!" Arnoldz quickly scrambled for his radio. "Command Dog Omega, this is ST Hidden. S-Day +2 we have located the enemy artillery position, relaying co-ordinates now." Omali scrambled to his map. "-30,1 Omega East 8,6. Further orders, over?"
It took several moments to get the commitioned orders over the radio. "Take out the damned artillery commander! We'll have that place zeroed in withen thirty minutes."
Arnoldz quickly responded, "Aye, over." He then quickly turned to Omali. "Alright Omali, I spotted the highest ranking officer of the unit, he's near the fifth Paladin, he must be talking to one of his men. I estimate 600 meters, wind calm, heat workable." Omali responded by bumping an 8mm Mauser round into the chamber of his modified FN 30-11. He then placed his eye by the scope, closing one eye. He fired the round, the team both waiting for it to hit it's target....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The incoming shells had been monitored, the death rate lowering to some five a day. Bunkers had been re-inforced. The school buildings and other public insituitions that the Cnian soldiers occupied had been re-inforced with more cement and concrete, adding onto the already cement buildings. Howitzers moved into place. A massive tunnel system was being created under a massive mall where the T-90S tanks and other armoured vehicles would be sheltered.
The Paladins had been placed in the mental insitituitions and given the nicknames 'Crazy Shooters' for their placed assignments. The Paladins had their orders and zeroed in on the enemy, they loaded AP rounds, their theory being, 'No crew, no effective tool of war.' They fired two hundred rounds that night, from the total of five hundred Paladins, the rest having HE rounds zeroed in at all the obvoius assault-able passages in the cities.

Sergeant Graus looked at the message that had just been passed to him. They had the bastards! Thank god for those Buddha Snipers, otherwise they could of been under attack for days without realizing the location of the attackers, thanks to the incompetence of Honako's military nowadays!
The Sgt. picked up this telephone and called The Head Of Borderline Defenses at the Commission building, Mr. Goossens :
"How many troops do we have on the East Borders?" The Sgt. blasted down the phone.
"Thousands, even hundreds of thousands. So, you've actually located who firing in too our country?
"Yes, and we were right. Its Oslea." There was a brief silence at the other end.
"What are the co-ordinates?" The Sgt. told him quietly.
"Ah! The closest defenses we have to that area is 3,000 troops stationed to a mere 35km away. Do you think that would be enough? I'll order arterially to fire at the location right away - hopefully they have evacuated by the time we get there."
"There's under a 1000 so far apparently. But we need to act fast."
"We will" And Sebastien put the phone down.
Sgt. Graus smiled. He was sure they'd won this battle, and he was ready to prepare the troops.

General George Javar monitored the completion of the preparations for the upcoming flight to Honako from inside his office at the Vigilis Military Airport. 10 IL-96M passenger jets were already with 2,000 Imperial Soldiers armed with AK-47 assault rifles with modified GP25 grenade launchers as well as Scorpion SA 361's machine pistols with rubber bullets for any potential riots. The jets also contained extra supplies of food, water, and ammunition, additional supplies could be sent at a later time, but such a small force wouldn't need too many supplies and hopefully wouldn't need to use up much ammo. In addition to the IL-96M's MiG-21 fighter jets would accompany the group to protect against any hostile aircraft that attacked the transports.
A younger man entered the office and approached Javar. "Sir, all preparations are complete, we can takeoff whenever you are ready."
The general nodded, "Very good, Lieutenant. Get onboard, I'll join you in a few minutes."
The young officer placed his fist over his heart and bowed, Javar returned the salute with a nod. As the lieutenant left to board the officer's plane, Javar switched on the intercom system. "Now that all preparations are complete, takeoff will occur in 12 minutes, at precisely 09:00 hours. Remember, we carry the honor of the Holy Empire with us. You will receive further instruction when we reach Honako. Until then, General Javar out."
Javar turned off the intercom and boarded the officers' plane. 11 minutes later, at exactly 09:00 hours, the first plane took off.

By approximately 13:30 all of the Tolvarus planes had made it safely to Liche, the capital of Honako. After unloading the planes and setting up a headquarters in eastern Liche, Javar sent a group of 150 troops under Colonel David Wilson to Jabero with one of the IL-96M's and two of the MiG-21's. After they had left, Javar split the remaining troops into shifts, and began several patrols of the eastern part of Liche.
18:15
General George Javar sat at a table at the Tolvarus HQ with Lieutenant Frank Douglas, his assistant and the man who had informed him of the completion of preparations before the takeoff that morning.
"Sir, none of the patrols have reported anything out of the ordinary." The young man sounded almost disappointed.
Javar grinned, "That's a good thing, Lieutenant. I know that this is your first change at actual combat, but you don't need to worry, fighting is going to find us eventually. Besides, when you're trying to keep the peace, you don't want to get into a conflict, you won't be firing on enemy soldiers, but scared civilians, and that's not good for anyone."
Frank turned red, "I didn't mean to sound disappointed, Sir. But like you said, this is my first actual campaign and I'm just excited to be serving the Empire."
Javar nodded, "That's a good attitude to have, but don't be too eager for a fight." Glancing at his watch, the general continued, "Now, why don't you go get some coffee, if I'm not mistaken, you're leading the next patrol and you'll want to be wide awake."
Frank saluted and left the tent.
"All the young ones are like that," Javar said to himself. "They all want to get into the action, because they don't know any better. Unfortunately, I think he's going to get his wish pretty soon; I've got a bad feeling about this."
(ooc: sorry i didn't post, had some RL things to deal with)
The soldiers at the makeshift base were all scrambling from the artillery fire that was being showered upon them from the sky. In the midst of the chaos. no one noticed the artillery commander was shot in the chest, holding and gasping for dear life. Had it been less chaotic a medic would have come and saved him but all the soldiers were ordered to fall back to a safer location, away from Honako and the artillery barrage. The commander eventually bled to death as soldiers around him were blown apart by artillery fire, or retreating. Humvees and Avengers that were not destroyed by artillery drove away, and men inside Abrams tanks abandoned them and just ran.
"Damn! They found out where we were!" a private was screaming to the soldier he was running beside while retreating.
"Yeah... dammit, we have to get revenge for this!"
The 3 soldiers running about 30 meters in front of the soldiers were killed by incoming artillery fire. The two troops kept running as fast as they could, away from the artillery.

"We just lost the base, Sir. Around 250 casualties... we're not sure, Sir. Too chaotic." and aide reported.

Unknown Time, ICBM Launch Base, Oslea
"Do we have the passcodes from Amber Crown to authorize this outfit and launch?"
"Yes, Sir."
"Ok, then. Remove the nuclear warheads from 4 LGM-118A Peacekeeper ICBMs and replace them with the anthrax we just obtained. They're in the barrels labeled 'PUDITE MILITARY ARMS ANTHRAX'."
The crews operating the launch station worked for 5 hours to change the warheads, finally finishing the job sometime in the night. Each missile had 6 seperate warheads in seperate re-entry vehiclaes on the same missile, meaning that they had to fill in 6 warheads for each missile with anthrax.
---
"Input the co-ordinates to the ICBM navigational systems."
One Peacekeeper targeted at the leftmost side of the southern border of Honako, 2 had the center-left and center-right, and one had the right-most side.
"Making final checks to the missile."
The crews made their final checks, making sure everything was in order.
"Check. It's good to go."
"Alright. Initiating countdown... All crews evacuate the launch area."
"T-30 minutes and 0 seconds until launch..."
...
...
"T-5...T-4....T-3... T-2... T-1... Liftoff."
The four Peacekeepers flew through the open doors of the missile silo towards their targets in Honako. Honako's joy over their victory over the Army wouldn't last for long.

According to preliminary reports from Intel the anthrax had been bought from Pudite Military Arms, a supplier of weaposn to Aurum Domus, and according to a UN Resolution, chemical and biological warfare was illegal. There was no turning back now, the Osleans has slaughtered many and they were about to get it right back in their faces, in a less cruel way, the Republic would never use chemical weapons.

21:10, War Room, Oslea
Tacticians had given the order to mobilize some Ranger Hazmat teams to be ready to be inserted within Honako, and set up home base within the Smoker's Union sewer base, with the high possibility of a nighttime insertion. Since the Generals needed their rest, they told the officers that relay commands to the military that the Rangers are to be inserted via UH-60 Blackhawks at a time they can decide on themselves, and that they should only stop the insertion if the operation hits a major snag. The Rangers and pilots should be able to pass by the Anthrax sites without getting infected, since wearing a simple Hazmat suit and a protective mask was adequate protection from the disease.
---
21:31, Amber Crown Airforce Base
About 100 Rangers were gearing up for a possible operation within Honako. To prevent possible spies from finding out the operation and its objective, the Rangers wouldn't be told what the mission was yet, but instead Command would tell them on the helicopter ride there.
Pvt. Shimenski grabbed an M29 assault rifle and frontal body armor on top of his Hazmat suit. To his side, he noticed a few teammates grabbing M29s as well, and some grabbing M249s and Javelins. As teammates were grabbing supplies, an officer immediately began assigning teams.
"OK! Listen up! Look at this sheet to find out what squad you are in! Each squad will consist of 10 soldiers!"
10 soldiers... That must mean they're going with the 6-2-1-1 arrangement... 7 people with M29s, 2 people with M249s, 1 person with an M24 Sniper rifle, and 1 person with a Javelin rocket launcher.
Shimenski glanced at the list.
"Aw crap! I'm with Robson!? You're kidding me! That guy can't shoot for..."
"Shut up Shimenski! Rangers are supposed to support each other! Now gear up, we may be deployed soon..."

From: General Corona, Oslean Army
We appreciate the help that your nation has offered us in this time of liberation for the citizens of Honako. For the deployment of your soldiers, we suggest that you jointly work with our Rangers and army soldiers in an upcoming operation to seize their capital city, Liche. We know it will be heavily fortified and will need all the help we can get in the city's liberation, and for rooting out the Cnian and other nations' presences in Honako. A battle of a relatively large scale could help cover the operations of our Rangers, who are to seize major government buildings and bring important occupants to Oslea. We also have the added benefit of controlling their city if the battle is successful. However, we would advise forces operating in the vicinity to avoid collateral damage; we do not want to kill innocent people or destroy innocent businesses' infrastructure.
General Herman Corona,
Oslean Army
---
Upon receiving the aid offer from Ezaltia, tacticians decided to mobilize a further 500 parachute-qualified troops from the Oslean Army and mobilize some armored units for the Army soldiers to use. The units would be deployed via air to speed up the process, but may have to be deployed outside of the Honakoen border. Unfortunately due to the lingering anthrax from the border bombings, not many troops and vehicle operators could be deployed due to the limited number of Hazmat suits.

The Serene Democratic People's Fiefdom
To: All Nations involved in the recent Smokers Union affair.
Sirs,
It has come to the attention of the government of the Serene Democratic People's Fiefdom that tensions continue to escalate in and around the region of Honako due to the actions of the terrorist organisation known as 'the Smokers' Union.'
War, gentlemen, is an awful thing. It destroys men, families and nations. The escalation in Honako, therefore, is completely and utterly disproportionate to the causes. The Fiefdom believes that all nations should withdraw from the brink.
To that end, therefore, the Fiefdom is generously provided its resources to faciliate peace and invite any/all member states involved to a peace conference in our capital, Port Sunlight.
Turning down this offer would be disasterous for all involved.
Kind Regards,
Prime Minister Macmillan
On Behalf of the Supreme National Soviet.

Official Response to the Serene Democratic People's Fiefdom
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We agree with you that war, in its very damned core, is hell for all being invovled. The enviroment, the animals, humans being by definition human are also endangered by the event, war. Yes, we would oh so happy to comply with you, but what assurance do we have that our allie Honako will be stabilized and that the Smoker's Union will be completely whiped out? Until we have insurance that such events will happen and that Honako wishes us to depart we will not pull out of Honako no matter what threat you lay out.
Sir,
We remain curious as to the nature of the 'threat' that we have apparantly laid before the respective nation states involved during this crisis. If that 'threat' is an admission that the lack of peace talks may result in a bitter and bloody war, then we are most curious as to how this is our fault? Surely we are attempting to prevent war, not to promote it. If you turn down this offer, then let the blood-shedding be upon your heads only.
We shall therefore answer your points in an orderly fashion:
a) The stabilisation of Honako. It is abundantly clear to all concerned that Honako does not desire war. Or, if she ultimately desires it, she is in no fit state so to do. The process of normalising the internal situation in Honako is therefore of key concern to the wider international community. If all parties agree to peace talks, then such efforts will be made to bolster the regime and ensure that the basic matieral needs of the people are met.
b) Linked to the above point, the issue of the Smokers Union is also one that should be dealt with. The Official position of the Fiefdom is that this organisation is a terrorist one, that uses violence and murder to enact political motives. That said, we also believe that conditions in Honako are fermenting this tension and these should be addressed. If the Oppressed People's of Honako are willing to talk, the Fiefdom is sure that a reasonable solution can be found.
c) How long you stay in Honako is the sole business of yourself and the government of Honako. The Fiefdom is not telling you to do anything.
As you assurances, you may take comfort from the fact that the population of Honako is 151 million, the Fiefdom's 3.5 billion. We are not interested in annexation, oppression or any other such things. The Fiefdom has a number of interests across the globe that do not concern the events here at all. You can be assured, therefore, that the Fiefdom is here purely out of the kindness of our hearts. If we were imperially-motivated, then there are much more tempting morsels out there.
Regards,
The Government of The Serene Democratic Fiefdom
News of this anthrax attack on Honako has caused some debate in my advisorial council, however, our troops are now at your disposal. Whether you wish for them to remain as peacekeeping troops, or to help defend against future attacks is up to you. We recognize that 2,000 troops is not a very large number, even when they are well trained, but we hope they are of some use to you in the defense and stabilization of your nation.
The United KIngdom of Ezaltia would be happy to attend a conference to resolve this conflict peacefully, however, we will still be deploying troops in case talks fail.
To: The United Kingdom of Ezaltia
Sir,
The success of peace talks are dependent upon intent as much as they are dependent upon action.
To that end, therefore, we question your dedication to peace talks if you are content to continue mobilizing your forces. A much more positive move would be to halt this military build-up in order to demonstrate that the United Kingdom is dedicated to peace and not, as it might appear, to war.
Though no formal declarations of war have been issued, we are proposing that all sides sign a ceasefire prior to any peace talks commencing. Those who break this ceasefire will provoke the wrath of the National People's Army of the Fiefdom which possesses, I can assure the respective nations involved, more tanks than God.
OOC: Wow! I never thought people would care so much about smokers...
To: All Nations Concerned
These attacks are absurd. Honako has enough internal problems to deal with than having nations boost there ego by sending troops into our much smaller nation. We will not back down and give the Smokers Union there way yet, they are terrorists and by supporting this attack you are supporting these actions.
From the outset Honako did not want war - it was Oslea that attacked us and thankfully a few right minded nations leaped to our defense. We will be open to peace talks, but first demand that all troops of attacking nations remove there forces from our borders. All our allies we ask you to provide urgent defense, as a don't know how effective a ceasefire could be between these two invaders who obviously want war...
We also condemn any anthrax attacks - and this has not helped our situation by the massacre of hundreds of our men. If peace talks do not start now, it is unlikely this war will end happily...
The Honako Independence Commission
Mrs. Bourla Parkins face turned pale. The nation was in shock after the events of the last few days. These attackers wanted to attack Honako just because of a Smoking Ban, the Fiefdom was right - it was crazy. But, what could the Commission do but pray that the peace talks would come.
FROM: Comrade Trevor Macmillan, Prime Minister of the Fiefdom
Madam,
Considering that your reply to our offer could be interpreted as a sign of your acquiescence to the notion of Peace Talks, we are writing to you today in order to better understand those conditions that will bring you to proposed talks in Port Sunlight.
In short, we understand that you wish the removal of foreign troops prior to any talks of peace. Those self-same nations that make-up those troops, however, are the ones that believe that the continuing mobilization of their forces is desirable.
The Fiefdom proposes a number of alternatives:
a) Fiefdom military observers patrol those areas with foreign forces to ensure their compliance with any ceasefire they may sign.
b) The Fiefdom forceably removes those forces
c) The Fiefdom places soldiers in those areas recently attacked, acting as a deterant should an attack take place.
These options are backed-up by the full military might of the Fiefdom which, needless to say, outweighs the combined forces of many smaller nations.
Regards,
Trevor Macmillan
Central Adminstration, The People's City
Administrator Dimitri Kierskenov had only just finished admitting the new distribution plan when the messenger had arrived. He bore the crest of the Directry, newly placed on his uniform. They quickly saluted, before the messenger spoke:
"Administrator, the Director has called for military aid for the nation of Honako*."
"What?!" the Administrator exclaimed, taking his attention off the distribution plan. "We can't raise the army just like that! We'd need more preperation."
"The Director knows this, Administrator." the messenger responded blankly. "That is why he has implemented the Emergency Conflict Protocol. All those who have served the compulsory military service are being called upon, and the Consortium has began prioritising Arms Manufacturers. He has requested that you go first to Honako, to plan with the Commission.
The Adminstrator contemplated slowly. Eventually, he stood up.
"Send news to the Director that I shall comply." he replied glumly. "I will advocate Marik as my replacement until I return. Goodbye, Comrade."
The messenger gave a short salute, before exiting quickly. It was war. Over cigarettes.
THE FOLLOWING IS AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT OF THE PARTY OF THE R.S.U. TO THE ENEMIES OF HONAKO:
Acknowledging, the recent use of biological warfare. Agreeing, that peace should be prioritised over war. However, we will no longer stand aside from a conflict over a filthy drug. By supporting the use of these single-minded terrorists, you too are now part of the poison that clogs the veins of society. And you will be cleansed.
We thank you for your support in this crazy attack on us. These people obviously fail to see they are attacking our nation over cigarettes, the fifth in the veins of our people!
We thank you for the offer of troops, and we gladly take any assistance a nation of your power can offer. Please fly in too meet us at Jabero, our third largest city (the other two have been evacuated of political personal) - to discuss war plans, or hopefully, peace plans. Though, if these people fail to comply to our proposal of peace - then any assistance in trying to defend us will be welcome.
To: Fiefdom of Uncle Noel
We also invite you to join us in Jabero where we hope these peace talks will take place. Hopefully there will be no need to forcefully remove the troops, though if they refuse to withdraw them before talks of peace and comprimise begin we ask in your assistance to do so forceable. For now we request you do the first option and third option so to observe and deter forces.
To: All Allied/Helpful Nations
We also invite all other allies to have talks on hopefully joining us to help stop this war with peace, or if that is dismissed by the attackers, by forming a colliation agaisnt our invadors.
By the time the response was received, Administrator Kierskenov was already on flying. The orders had been quick. A handful of Party members, including a rather pasty-looking Commissar, had accompanied him. Along with an entire squad of Peace Keepers, of course. But Kierseknov didn't have time to think about that. He was too busy coordinating the army. The Conscription had gone well, with millions already joining up. Thank Stanislav for national pride. Arms Manufacturing, however, was not going as well. Though the Consortium had unanimously agreed, the best date on heavy weapons would be in atleast two days. That left only the Conscripts, the People's Army and the Air Force. The Navy was still slow to react and weapons caches were still in the process of being distributed. Lets hope these peace talks don't prove to be a failure, he thought glumly. Within a few hours, the convoy finally arrived. The Pilot sent an audio message to Air Control, in his own broken English.
"Attention Air Control Honako. This is the Convoy of the People's Republic of the Reformed Soviet Union. In possession is an official ambassador. We request permission to enter Honakeon Air Space, and furthermore to land in your Capitol of the Jabero. Standing by, over.
We are sending Gen. George Javar and part of his command to Jabero. We humbly request that my representatives, Monsignor Ives and General Javar, participate in the impending peace talks. The troops Javar brings with him and the Tolvarus troops already in Jabero can help to defend the city if the talks fail. Meanwhile, the remainder of the Tolvarus troops in Liche will continue to patrol the city to hopefully prevent any riots caused by the fighting and/or anthrax attack.
OOC: Later I'll interrogate the pilot Oslea, and also have some more talks of my defenses - but currently my eastern border and major city defenses are in the millions as we have focused our armies to protection of Honako and nothing else.
Also, if anyone is interested in having a member of the Smokers Union take a non-fatal shot at the person they have sent to the talks, that would make these talks a bit more interesting. Though if not, I'll just have one of my Commissioners take it, though the political affects will be less great. But currently I just want to avoid and invasion of my country.
OOC: I'd be happy to 'bite the bullet', just aslong as it isn't too critical. The Administrator is a pretty important part of my government.
IC:"Acknowledged. Preparing to land."
Kierskenov braced himself for the sudden jolt, as the aircraft began to lower. Looking around him, he saw he wasn't the only one. Most of the Party members were clutching to their seats with their eyes shut, and the Commissar's face had somehow managed to become paler.
Eventually, the juddering came to a stop. The aircraft lowered down onto the private airstrip, eventually slowing to a halt. Kierskenov stepped up and straightened his uniform. The Peace Keepers were already up, opening the side door and slowly shepherding out the occupants. The Party members, and then Kierskenov and the Commissar. He stared angrily at the Peace Keepers. "This isn't going to look good for diplomacy", he muttered.
OOC: Ok, I'll RPing it today - then by the time any talks begin your leader should be fit again to be involved. It will probably also add resolve to your bad stance on the Smokers Union, though probably won't see you too please at us either.
The Jabero National Airbase
General Cottems looked on as more officials emerged from the RSU plane. These were the first people to arrive for peace talks, and the General had suspicion as too why they had suddenly become involved in the conflict - but he dismissed these feelings and looked on the good side of things, any help the struggling nation of Honako could get against these savage invaders was welcome.
The leader of the growing pact of officials was named Dimitri Kierskenov - and he was easily recognizable against the other same looking men as the leader of this rather paled group. As he stepped onto the tarmac he had an angry looked etched on his aging face, and the General felt as if it was armed towards the armed forces. It was for there bloody protection he thought, but convinced himself not be remain angry at him. He strolled up proudly to greet the disgruntled Administrator.
"Good day Sir, welcome to Honako. We have transportation prepared for you and an ornate guest quarters for you and your men to stay in at our Commission HQ." The Administrator replied in what sounded to Cottems like a grunt, but he soon realized was Russian. "Erm, yes...please, follow me, your armored escorted vehicles are ready for you".
Outside The Commission HQ, Jabero
The huge tail of vehicles pulled up to the grand gates of the Commission HQ. From here they would have too walk, but the General feared nothing, there was a heavy security presence and no-one was allowed near the building, not even reporters.
He got out of his pitch black Jeep and saw Mr. Kierskenov leisurely remove himself from the luxury Limo. The General could tell he was not happy to be here, but none of them wanted to be in this situation. He walked on to join the mass of officials and soldiers surrounding the Administrator and watched as the gates slowly opened...
"Mr. Kierskenov " A young voice shouted to the left. Everyone looked around, including Kierskenov. It was a small member of the armed police, standing out in his group of colleges as he was bending down. An alarmed look came across the Generals face. He was aiming a gun.
"For the Smokers Union!" A gunshot rattled out of the handgun and created an echo in the small square outside the gates. A cry was heard from the crowd of RSU officials and suddenly all the guards jumped onto there leader to cover him up and defend him. But they were too late. Bullets were fired at the shooter as he tried to escape, and he collapsed limply on the floor.
Never had the General been so afraid as when he saw the weak body of Administrator Kierskenov falling helplessly to the floor, outstretching a bloody hand.
The Smokers Union...in the sewers
News had spread all the way to Lifer of the upcoming peace talks in the HQ. The men were excited. The arrival of international leaders there made the possible attack on the building all that more interesting...there would be no peaceful end to this war, he would make sure of it. (OOC: don't worry, no international leader/representative will die at this meeting, unless you request for them too :p)
The General of my forces will attend the peace talks along with 20 heavily armed guards, he will be helicoptered in if you can guarantee him a safe landing spot.
It was chaos. The Party members had been ushered away, each of them now alert. The young Commissar's face was as white as snow. The remaining Peace Keepers were crowded around the following Administrator, using their basic field training to treat the wound. The Commissar shaked off his fear. Apart from the pilot, he was the only one who could actually speak English. As part of the plan to raise national patrioticism, Russian was the only language anyone learned. Only the Armed Forces and Diplomats were briefed in other languages. He briskly ran over to the Honakeon General who had greeted them.
"He needs the treatment at hospital." he blurted out quickly in broken English. The Peace Keepers had lied down the Administrator and patched the wound, and now had their attention on the would-be assassin. Quickly, while everyone else was distracted by the chaos, two Peace Keepers dragged him off quickly to the vehicle that had been accompanying the limousine, with two objectives.
1) Contact the Director and tell him that his right hand man could be dying.
2) Find out as much about the gunman and the Smoker's Union as possible.
Cut the head and the body will die.
"The Smokers Union, we believe, have tried to kill Mr. Dimitri Kierskenov - probably in an attempt to halt peace talks before they've even begun. The RSU will take care of him from now on security wise, and we have ordered him to be sent to our finest hospital and be worked on by our most highly trained doctors. It is a grave situation" Announced Deputy High Commissioner Niles Gordon.
All the colour drained from Mrs. Parkins face. "This is not good for diplomatic relations not good at all..."
"Other nations have not been deterred, yet" Niles cut in "Aurum Domus are sending people over here, we need all the help we can get to stop these invaders".
Mrs. Parkins looked outside into the blissful gardens of the Central Garden Courtyard in the Palace "Tell Aurum Domus they can drop off there people directly to our helipad here, it will be safer. The Smokers Union will pay for this. They can not get away with it every time."
Rain squad had acquired two large SUVs which they used to transport five men each. Making no modifications so that the plan could be done without raising suspicion. But the basis of the plan was to convert as many Yjamos troops as possible, which would not been such an easy task. But this was onli one part of the larger plan. The actually important part of the plan was to hook up and launch a joint operation with the Smoker's Union headquarters, which was rumored to be located in the sewers.
Rain Squad Leader had found a monkey ranch and used it to open a man-hole leading down to the sewers. Pre-man-hole opening the lights had been shot out by their silenced pistols, this not attracting any attention, which was un-expected. The ten men entered the sewer and closed the man-hole quickly, leaving no trace of them ever being there.
We will return the shooter - he has been treated in hospital for his wounds. Please extract information from him, we need things like the exact location of The Smokers Union HQ (believed to be somewhere in the Liche sewer network). After that, he is yours.
OOC: Ok, shall I start the thread soon? By the way, it'll basically pan out like this - first part just RPing about the arrivals of diplomats - then about what exactly Oslea and me and my allies want for peace - then the Smokers Union attacks and we go on freely from there on...
OOC: That works for me, Honako I promise I won't kill too many, as soon as we learn the location of The Smokers Union HQ my agents will begin the offensive.
