This rp is set during the Napoleonic Wars. It's like Master and Commander and such.

Napoleon, the Emperor of France and the scourge of Europe stands unchallenged on land. His armies march across Europe, crushing all who oppose him. For years, the continent has been at war, thousands dead, thousands suffering. He is posed to invade the British Isles themselves. If Britain is lost, then the war is lost and Napoleon will become the Emperor of Europe. His navies gather in strength, the Allie do their best to keep them at bay. But powerful enemy warships prowl the oceans, wreaking havoc on merchant ships. Now, relive the age of sail as you command a ship and sail the oceans of the world in search of adventure ang glory. Engage in epic one on one duels, travel to distant ports, fight enemy fleets and decide the outcome of the war at sea. World events and history could change with the blast of a cannonade. The choice is yours. Will you conquer the ocean and wreak havoc? Or will you try and defend your homeland?

Basiacally, you are a ship's captain and sail around the world. It's very open, search for enemy vessels, travel to ports, anything's possible. You can also be anything you choose to be in this rp.

History: Harlan was born March 10, 1770 in York to a descent family of nobility. His father, Sir Arthur Harlan was a general in the British army stationed abroad. His mother, Abigail was a devout Catholic. From a young age he was an adventurer and explorer. In school, he recieved good marks and was athletic. He fell in love with a common woman named Elizabeth Talbot, a seamstress in London. He was never allowed to marry her due to her social status but he married her none the less and his father scorned him for doing such. He was seperated from the family, thus denied any money or support. He left his rich and privelaged life to live with Elizabeth. He enlisted into the Royal Navy and served on HMS Valiant, which saw some action across the globe. He was wounded while in Port Royal by a fellow shipmate who was drunk. He rose through the ranks, due to his tough but fair demeanor. Finally, he recieved a captain's commission after years of hard worker and feverous dedication. He is now the captain of the HMS Athena, a frigate.
