Peter waited impatiently in line at the corner Starbucks. When he first trodded over to the store, the tantalising aromas allured him, but now it was unbearable to wait in line anymore, especially when the line was so long that it extended out onto the busy street.
"Can y'all hurry the fuck up!?" he shouted angrily. His complaints went unheard. Desperate for mental stimulation, he grabbed a one eura note, and purchased a copy of the Eurasian Financial Times from a street vendor. On the distinctive cerulean-tinted paper, headlines trumpeted "Social Security Privatised in Parliamentary Vote" and "Privatisation Sweeps Over Eurasian Airport Authority".
"Ridiculous," Peter spat, chucking the paper in the nearest rubbish bin.

The room was pitch-black, with only a few strands of light seeping through the cracks in the ceiling.
"Are all members present?" boomed Peter. A chorus of "ayes" resonated in response. "Good. Lights!"
An acolyte scurried towards the door, pressed a switch, and the lights flickered on.
"I hereby call the sixteenth meeting of the People's Revolution Army to order," commanded Peter, lightly tapping a gavel on his decrepit desk. "Ladies and gentlemen, we have a problem. The filthy bourgeoisie are trying to destroy the socialist way. Prime Minister Sinclair and his hordes of squalid libertarians have finally privatised all but three things; they have turned the economy into this system of capitalismo - we can't stand for that!"
"Wh...wha...what do wwwe do ab..bout it?" stammered a woman in the audience.
"I'll tell you what we're going to do. You all know Vladimir and Estragon," intoned Peter, as the audience nodded. "Our favourite duo of revolutionaries. Now, it seems that they just got jobs for Royal Dutch Shell - they work on a supply vessel for an oil rig. Y'all get the picture?"
"Yes, sir!" they bellowed in response.

An unearthly mist enveloped the supply vessel, obscuring the ocean surrounding the Shell Valencia. All that could be heard was the pounding of the waves on the steel hull of the craft.
"Creepy, isn't it?" asked Vladimir, one of the crewmen.
"But of course," replied Estragon, another crewman.
"So...suited to tonight's events, wouldn't you agree?"
"I would indeed. Shall we?"
"We shall."
The pair cautiously drew two submachine guns from holsters concealed in their jackets. Adrenaline rushed through their veins, their heartbeats echoing in their ears.
Kicking down the doors to the bridge, Vladimir and Estragon sprayed the command crew with bullets, leaving only the captain standing.
"Oh my god, what have you bitches done?" he cried.
"Started a revolution," was the reply. The triggers were depressed once more.

Metal shards and corpses flew up in the air, splashing down into the tropical waters of the Black Gold Sea.

Peter sat calmly in his flat, looking out upon the city. He started to laugh.
Les idotes asinini, Peter thought. Illos genuflecté prime io! His mental discourse was interrupted by a knock at the door.
"Come in," Peter called. "It's unlocked."
A man in a dark suit with rose-tinted sunglasses strode through the door. "Peter," the man said. "I'm impressed with your work."
"Ivan!" Peter said. "Is that you? It's been so long, comrade!" Peter extended his arm for a handshake. Ivan clasped it coldly, then dropped it.
"Peter, I'm not here for your pleasantries. It is time," Ivan snapped frigidly. His white teeth unnerved Peter - too white for him.
"You mean...the revolution?" Peter inquired nervously as he paced.
"Of course," replied Ivan. "The time is ripe. The south is the only Labour stronghold, the capitalists are frightened after the terror attack in the sea - nice work, by the way - and true revolutionaries are emboldened. I've organised a force of fifty thousand men and women, all armed. I want them all to march on the provincial capital tonight."
***
A woman with a red armband crouched in a flat complex, a sniper rifle slung over her shoulder. On the other side of town, the PRA would be marching on 19 Market Street, the residence of the governor. But her mission - to distract the capitalists - was just as important.
She focused the sniper rifle, aiming it at the blue uniform of a police constable. Pressing the trigger, a small bullet hurtled towards the constable, hitting him in the stomach. He fell to the ground, groaning, as he picked up his radio and started signalling to other officers. In a matter of minutes, dozens of squad cars swarmed to the location, klaxons blaring as blue and red lights illuminated the street.
"Take this, bitches," she muttered as she sent three more bullets flying towards the police - three more constables fell to the ground, dying. Police gunfire riddled the woman's body with bullets; she fell from her ninth story perch and smashed into the cold, unforgiving concrete sidewalk.

"Shit," cried a police lieutenant, one of the few manning the hastily erected barricades around the premier's residence. "Where the hell did everyone fucking go!?"
"Some crazy sniper bitch on the west-side," shouted another officer. "Damn poor timing! All units, open fire!" A barrage of bullets was let loose into the mob, but the dead rebels were mere trampled by tens of thousands more.
"Down with the capitalists, down with the capitalists!" they chanted as they slaughtered the meagre, Lilliputian police force.

The wind howled down the streets of Kensington, rain battering the marble structure of the Palace. The night was humid, permeating all of the northern island, and tendrils of mugginess wrapped themselves around Eurasians all across the city. Sir Phillip Sinclair, Prime Minister of Eurasia, sat at his desk, meditating. The white papers marshalled themselves into order, regiments of pens lined up along the edges, flanked by computer interfaces, covered by squadrons of data reports. Rotating in his chair, he looked from his office window unto Kensington Bay and the other side of the city. A timid chime rang from his office door.
"Enter," Sir Phillip commanded. His entire Cabinet solemnly filed into his office, one by one.
"Have you heard?" asked Chancellor Schwab.
"Yes," whispered Sir Phillip. "I have. We lost the entire province of Viridis Forestis - to a band of poorly organised rebels. Waltham Forest, Hillingdon, Stirling, Worchester - all under their direct control. Westminster's good as lost - that'll be attacked next. Bexley's our last stand." He withdrew a silk, ivory handkerchief, dabbed his welling eyes, and replaced the cloth in his pocket.
"This presents a difficult situation for me," Sir Phillip resumed. "We must regain the south. But I cannot bring myself to kill my fellow Eurasians." Silence permeated the room, the spectre of sorrow, of mourning, sweeping over all those present.
"Move our troops to the border of the rogue province. Let nobody in or out without authorisation," Sir Phillip dictated, his former aura of authority reasserting itself. "I want constant satellite surveillance of the area."

"Mister President, we have something that might interest you."
The officer presented him with a number of satellite photographs and a written report concerning the destruction of the Eurasian oil platform, "We spoke with the experts in the Industry and Resources Ministries, they both agree that this is a fire aboard an oil platform with refining capabilties. Although we feel this is not a normal, industrial accident. Few reports were coming out of Eurasia until the last few weeks from our meagre number of field operatives from ARIA, although we are led to believe this is a terrorist attack," Explained the general, "There have also been reports, mostly from news outlets, concerning an entire province being overrun by socialist rebels."
"Enemy of my enemy is my friend," Spoke the President under his breath as he looked over the reports before turning to the aide, "Stacey, get me General Paxton with Joint Special Operations Command, I'd like to have a word with him in private at some point today."
The young brunette nodded, "Yes, Sir, I'll clear your afternoon meeting with the Ministry of Agriculture and reschedule it."
"Thank you," He replied as he returned to the papers, "Could you bring me a cup of coffee as well, it's going to be a long day."

Army Base Delta-Alpha, Skyian Eurasian Command, Outside Westminster
The Skyian Republican Army and Air Force jointly hosted five bases throughout the southern main island of Eurasia, each base housing five divisions, a grand total of 474,500 combat ready troops were based there. They had been rumblings from the intelligence forces posted there about a terrorist attack or rebellion in the future, but since the Skyians had no power to do anything, they kept an eye out of it, lucky too, cause the time had come, however, the Eurasians had had no clue about it, something that shocked Skyian Intelligence Operatives.
Base Delta-Alpha was the command and control for the entire Skyian Military based in Eurasia, and as such was the largest, it also contained the largest amount of aircraft, a total of half the air forces positioned in Eurasia, 576 F/A-84s, newly shipped from the mainland, made up the best arm of the force, the heavy bombers were useless until the enemy forces left the urban centers, civilian casualties were a no-no.
The news of the uprising spread quickly through the Skyian Ranks, information feeding in from We Buy It Inc. owned buildings, whose occupants and security troops had come under fire from Eurasian rebels, and the fifteen divisions closest to the fighting were mobilized, luckily the enemy had not taken the large Skyian threat into account. Soon the 284,700 troops stationed in the rebellious provinces were suited up and exiting the base to establish a defensive perimeter, they would stay out of the urban areas for now.
The other two bases in the area were Bravo-Alpha southeast of Stirling and Alpha-Alpha to the southwest of Worchester. The other remaining Skyian Bases were Charlie-Alpha north of New Zurich and Omega-Alpha west of Argyll.
However, this was not the case with the troops stationed at Delta-Alpha, they were merely minutes away from the last remaining government held city, Westminster, to set up a defensive perimeter and fight off and crush the communist rebels. A total of 3 divisions were committed to Westminster.
Throughout the Cities
Throughout the many cities We Buy It Inc. security troops erected barricades and laid down claymores around key buildings, generally those that housed communication equipment and where workers were staying. A total of 2,250 troops were deployed to each of the five cities in the south, they prepared to make their stand while F/A-84 'Shadows' soared overhead in an attempt to keep the skies clear for reinforcements, staying above MANPAD ceiling.
Generally they were organized around the key campuses which housed vehicles and armories, as well as the heavy weapons, the M260A1 'Valkyrie' Infantry Fighting Vehicles; other buildings to be protected were the shipyards and docks that We Buy It Inc. owned in the coastal city.
Airborne capable forces stationed in the non-rebelling cities in the north were put on alert, and prepared to mobilize. While the We Buy It Inc. Fleet in the area moved towards coastal cities, ready to land, or evacuate troops, and corvettes patrolled the WBI held oil derricks in the area. Meanwhile messages were dispatched to Craven and Whyatican troops throughout the country.
It was looking that a face down like the one between Eurasian protestors and Praetonian troops during the invasion of Eurasia.
How ironic was it that the forces the Eurasians fought so hard to, and failed to, expel would quite possibly be their saving grace. How the 'mighty' have fallen.

President Maddox was not surprised about the news of the rebellion, she had been on a visit to the state governmental offices of the Skyian Province, and a tour of the bases was in order for the next day.
She read the message with angry indifference, the Eurasian Prime Minister didn't even have the balls to send in troops, not only that but he potentially cut off her military from reinforcements.
"Sir Phillip Sinclair couldn't govern his way out of a wet paper bag even when given a knife, he has little control over his military, as illustrated by the Iragian Incident, and be obviously has no idea on how to keep his people happy." She said to a group of state officials and military generals, earning laughs, which earned the listeners glares of death.
"I'm going to send a message to Mr. Sinclair, see if I can't get him to let our military defend go in and reinforce it's self, you," She said pointing to the base commander, "Contact the Whyatican and Cravan Government to see if they can help pressure Mr. Sinclair into action.

It has come to my attention through messages from my military intelligence that the province of Viridis Forestis has experience a 'rebellion' and been lost to an angry mob of communist dissidents. However, instead of sending in forces to quell the insurrection, you simply position your forces at the border, letting your people fend for themselves.
What kind of idiotic leader are you? The coalition powers have long ago become sick of your antics that will undoubtedly lead your country to suicide. I'm surprised your people have yet to remove such an incompetent leader. Although you see to be part of the problem, you are not the main objective now.
The main objective is to keep the residents of the cities safe, while crushing the rebellion, if you don't remember, we still have a Field Army and an Air Division worth of forces in the southern island, 3 corps of which are stationed in the area undergoing rebellion. They can help protect Westminster and confront and crush the rebels while our air forces can hold the skies.
I'd also appreciate it if you would let my forces pass through the provincial border to help the other forces. I've also been informed that We Buy It Inc. security forces are clashing, or preparing to clash with rebels in the city, in the defense of their lives and property. We Buy It Inc. has a fleet in the area and would be very happy if you let them into your waters to assist the ground forces.
I've also informed the Cravaian Forces in the area, as well as the Whyaticans, so why don't you sit back and let the big boys handle it, as you and your military aren't, well, up to snuff.

"Comrade Chairman Yakovlev!" announced a young soldier in uniform. "A Comrade Peter Smirnov for you. Shall I let him in?"
"Yeah, yeah - send the chap in," Ivan said dismissively, waving his hand. The soldier exited momentarily, and returned with Peter, clad in a crisp, fresh military uniform.
"Good news, Comrade Chairman!" declared Peter exuberantly. "Our troops are marching on Westminster now...but there is...heavy resistance. The capitalist Eurasians have sent their fighters (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=12367081&postcount=1) in, and they're heavily attacking our forces - over one hundred thousand dead in the last bout alone. You have just played into my hands Mr. Sinclair. I critize you on your handling of the situation, and you send your forces out. Any hogwash about killing your fellow Eurasians is pacifist speak, they have killed your citizens and troops, and obviously have no regard for others lives, should you act or speak like that on the international scene, which I know you don't, then you would die.
See how painless that was to actually take actions for the betterment of your people and government? You may become a competent leader yet Mr. Sinclair. I will order my forces to only defend themselves against the rebels and not get in the way of your forces.

The rebels refused to yield, taking cover in elementary schools, in stores, in residences, in the ruins of the city. Machine gun fire and RPGs peppered the Eurasian force, killing hundreds.
"Pull back," ordered Field Marshal Dreedle. "Surround the city, siege it. Keep bombing it, but no troops."
The Empire had kept a small garrison of a Marine Division at Terrence Air Force Base, located outside Kensington, since the invasion some time ago. With the added security relations had grown closer, and Eurasia had even been admitted to GASN.

Those members of the Cravanian Armed Forces in Kensington on this night were all being called back to duty, and were being prepared to deploy for the southern areas of Eurasia immediately. The sooner the rebellion was crushed, the longer the Sinclair administration stayed in power, the easier it was to get someone competent in place.

"I really hope this blows over quickly... A prolonged campaign will only lead to further dissent from the populace. And Senate elections are around the corner."
"Well... Two more Army divisions, namely the 104th Airborne, are ready to deploy at a moment's notice. We can also have a larger naval group, including supercapitals, deployed relatively quickly."
"Nothing yet.", the Emperor said, rising from his chair. "But leave the option open if necessary."

"Nothing your majesty, atleast nothing yet. This could have serious repercussions if the rebellion fails. Even though the French hated the British, they did not rush to help the Americans in the American Revolution. They waited until the Americans proved they were competent enough to defeat the British in a major battle. So, we must be like the French, and wait." Judgehammer replied.
"And what if the rebellion fails? The Dream of Socialism will be lost to the Eurasians!" Staarrus questioned.

Viridis Forestis Declares Independence Despite Eurasian Victory
http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/42598000/jpg/_42598039_jet203ap.jpg
The province of Viridis Forestis, taken over by the People's Revolutionary Army, has declared its independence from Eurasia regardless of the Eurasian recapture of Stirling.
The city of Stirling capitulated due to a Eurasian siege; after six days lacking running water or electricity, Stirling denizens revolted against their PRA overlord - at the same time, Viridis Forestis declared its independence from the United Kingdom of Eurasia.
An interview with the ruler of Viridis Forestis, Chairman Ivan Yakovlev, is impossible, though thousands of DVDs were released to press organizations around the world, in which Mr Yakovlev stated that "the capitalist machine would grind to a halt...Eurasia and all those who supported it would live in an unending cacophony of screams when Viridis Forestis rules the world...glorious, pure, unabated communism will reign supreme..."
"Meaningless blustering," scoffed Sir Phillip Sinclair in a brief press statement. "Viridis Forestis will be brought to heel easily. The PRA doesn't even possess popular support in that province - they've merely forced the people of Viridis Forestis to obey them, utilising the ideologies of fear and hatred to cower them. The United Kingdom will crush the PRA shortly, let me assure the press that much."
Eurasian troops currently are evacuating and fortifying the city of Stirling, which is expected to be a launching point for further assaults. The Ministry for Defence has refused to state their next target, though knowledge of Bexley-based bombing runs on Hillingdon has been declassified.

From: General Chris Markham, Illiorian Ministry of Defense
Dear Sirs/Misses,
At this point in time, Illiorian intelligence Assets have confirmed the loss of control in the southern Eurasian area, as I am sure you all are aware. At this point, Illiorian Intelligence assets have also noted that there are no naval Assets in the southern area at this point. As such, the Illiorian Navy has deployed several small fleets to the area to ensure that no support may reach the insurgents on the mainland. Also, these fleets have been instructed at this time to stay in International Waters until they are cleared for entry by one of the Several occupying forces.
On another note, I'd also like to offer our support in any military action taken, and to also allow your forces to use our aircraft carriers and deployment assets as a base to strike from. As Illior has had generally good relations with your nations, I doubt that any problems would arise. I would also like to ask for a suitable area to use as a command post, specifically an AFB would be best, as it would allow Illiorian Intelligence Assets to deploy from there to keep an everpresent eye over the situation, and if necessary, to base strike forces from there.
Thank you for your time,
General Chris Markham

Uxbridge, Viridis Forestis
2000 hours
A Jeep with a mounted machine gun teared down the meandering, dirt road that lead to Uxbridge. Peter Smirnov, sitting in the passenger seat, looked at the roadway uneasily; he preferred the motorway system, even if it was constructed by the bourgeois Eurasians.
"How much longer?" he shouted over the din of the engine, which was in vital need of a muffler.
"We just need to round this bloody hill!" cried the driver in response.
The Jeep rounded the hill, screeching the whole time, and Peter stood up in his seat. Before him laid the town of Uxbridge...or what used to be Uxbridge. Following the road, the vehicle drove through the main throughfare, which was littered with stone and burning wooden beams. As the car slowed to a halt, Peter jumped out of the vehicle. He noticed a young woman hiding in one of the ruins. Curious, he thought, and Peter decided to trudge over there. He had to bend over to fit through the collapsed doorway, and in the darkness of the room, he saw the girl scurry into a corner. Smirnov grabbed a flashlight from his pocket, and flicked it on. Whoever she was, she was filthy - probably hadn't bathed in a day or two. And she was dressed like a whore. Seemed like a ripe opportunity. He casually walked up to her and pinned her to the wooden wall.
"Shh," he said gently. "Nothing to fear."
He pulled out four knives from his pocket, and thrust them through her wrists and ankles, relishing in her screams of agony. He started to unzip his military-grade pants, sneering in the prostitute's face.
"Comrade Field Marshal, are you quite finished?" asked Comrade General Grueber testily. "I have yet to deliver my report to you."
"Fine," Peter sighed dejectedly. He pulled a knife from her wrist and stabbed her in the forehead. "Deliver your report."
"Well, Comrade, I think you'll be most pleased with this facility," said Grueber exuberantly, pride in each of his words. "We've managed to turn this entire town into a massive prison camp. Since yesterday, we've managed to torture, sexually abuse, and execute seven thousand capitalist Eurasians, and sixteen thousand more await processing in our holding pins!"
"I'm proud of your work," Peter declared offhandedly. "You've done the PRA and Viridis Forestis a great favour. I'm sure that the Chairman will award you some sort of award. Carry on, then."

Rear Admiral Mark Jenkins was looking over his Deployment orders and his Manifest. Jackson, Ghallager, Karsten, Mincor, Keller... Boy this could be fun, he thought as he looked over his duties: Close all ports and stop all incoming shipping to prevent any supplying of rebel factions. Nevermind... He thought, as he went back and created his own personal deployment orders for his ships.

"Hey Jack!" Colonel Mark Hawthorn yelled as he looked at their orders.
"What?"
"We're off to visit our old buddies!"
"Who? the Markies?"
"Naw you dumb shit, the Cravanians!"
"Aw yeah! Those boys! Where are they now?"
"Some shithole called Your-asia or something like that."
"Fun, fun and more fun for the family!"
"Yeah, but let the group know where we're headed, we got a full deployment following us."
"Fine," He said and turned away muttering, "Bossy piece of shit, could do that himself..."
"I HEARD THAT YOU SHIT EATER!"
All Jack did in reply was give a nice shit eating grin to his commander and went on the radio, "All aircraft, all aircraft Group thirteen-ninetyfour, turn 30 degrees west, we're meeting up with some buddies and having some fun."

Sir Philip Sinclair,
these troops will be strictly under Eurasian command and will removed immediatly upon your request. The commander of 18th SS-Panzergrenadier is Storm-Colonel Svetlanka Beckenbauer and will be reporting directly to a Eurasian commander of your choice.

"Sir, we've got Skgorrian aircraft inbound for Eurasia, bearing thirty two point three degrees," reported an air traffic controller.
"Direct them here while I notify Field Marshal Dalton of their arrival," barked his director.
"Yes, sir," replied the ATC crisply. As the director walked out of earshot, the ATC added, "you fucking douchebag." He picked up a radio and clicked the activation button.
"This is RAF Islington, RAF Islington to Skgorrian aircraft," he signalled. "Please land here, on Runway Six. Field Marshal Dalton will meet you at the strip, over."

"Roger that RAF Islington, coming in" responded the pilot as he brought the massive IL-76 into land. With a thump and a thud and a screech, the plane had come to a halt. As the rear doors swung open, a large number of Skgorrian soldiers scrambled out of the back, more eager to get out of the confines of the transport than anything.
"Looks different to last time I was here," remarked a grizzled sargeant as he checked his pack and his gear, his Eurasia campaign badge prominent on his shoulder.
"Shut it," snapped Storm-Colonel Svetlanka Beckenbauer (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Svetlanka_Beckenbauer). She realised that the prescence of Skgorrian troops was going to cause some problems for the Eurasians, especially as many veterans of 'Landstorm Skgorria' had been involved since the first drop and the battle for the capital. Now she awaited the arrival of Field Marshal Dalton as more and more transports began to land...

The spinning of the jet turbines on the transports partially deafened the Field Marshal, who was only accustomed to tank motors and helicopter blades. Dalton glanced up at the sky to see twenty-four Eurafighter Nemeses flying in formation overhead. He picked out the Storm-Colonel by her commanding demeanor and rigid posture. Striding up to her, he shook her hand.
"Storm-Colonel," he said over the din. "It's a pleasure. We're going to be deploying your division into Worchester by next week."

Cracking a wide smile, Svetlanka shook the Field Marshal's hand firmly.
"A pleasure as well. What did you have in mind for my troops?" she asked, yelling so that she could be heard clearly. Looking up at the sky, she was impressed by the formation flying of the Eurasian fighters.
"Nice 'planes, they yours?" she asked whilst the division continued to land and unload. Some soldiers were standing guard, but they didn't expect anything to happen in the middle of a Eurasian facility.

The massive C-181A Starlifter II transport aircraft lifted off the tarmac of the base as they hauled the soldiers of the 201st Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 1st Airborne Division. The brigade-level equipment and personnel, including combat support and combat service support units, waited on-call on the base to load into the Airlift Command's massive C-5G Galaxy II transports. Among the paratroopers aboard the transports was Technical Sergeant Rachel Fletcher, an Aequatian Republic Air Force Tactical Air Control Operator, attached to one of the rifle companies to direct all Aequatian and allied aircraft. She sat with her comrades of the Headquarters Platoon aboard a C-181A as it travelled over the ocean, within sixteen hours, they would be on the ground alongside their Cravanian allies.

The first of several Aequatian aircraft began to arrive as the newly-developed F-28A Black Eagle air superiority fighters began their final approaches towards the airbase. "Of course!" he cried, leading her to a small tunnel positioned on the edge of the tarmac.
A small keypad lay at the entrance way, along with a speaker.
"Computer, open the secure doors - authorisation Dalton Whiskey-Foxtrot-Hotel," Dalton stated in clipped Eurasian.
Authorisation confirmed, replied a feminine, computerised voice. Voiceprint recognised as belonging to: Dalton, James, Field Marshal.
The door swung open to reveal a moderately-sized monorail. After the two boarded, it shot off towards a secure, military bunker deeper within RAF Islington.
General Richard Weatherby heard the roar of the oncoming aircraft, and stood from his desk, moving towards the windows in his fairly plain office. Peeking through the blinds, he could see as the Aequatian aircraft made their landings.
"Illiorians should be arriving within a few hours. Then the party really begins.", he said to himself with a smirk.
The airbase was a flurry of activity as ground crews moved to greet the Aequatians. Weatherby grabbed his pea coat, its navy blue fabric slightly worn from years of use. While walking out to the tarmac, a light drizzle came down upon the old Imperial Air Force officer. He covered himself up, drawing the pea coat tighter to his body as he approached a young enlisted man who was looking over the manifest for the incoming flights.
"Evenin', Airman. Whereabouts do you think I can find the ranking Aequatian officer in this mess?", he asked, motioning at the seemingly endless crowd of personnel moving to assist the Aequatians in unpacking. The young man, instantly nervous at having met the commander of this base for the first time, snapped to attention.
"I don't know, sir.", he said fairly rigidly, holding the manifest under his left arm as he saluted with his right. "I believe they would be someplace over on that plane.", he stated while pointing to one of the C-5G transports.
"Thanks, son.", Weatherby replied while placing both hands in his pockets and walking into the storm of men and women. The young Airman continued going over his manifest, trying to cover the clipboard and paper and protect it from the rain. He jumped out of fright as a pair of F-2 Abaddons screamed overhead, dropping papers on the tarmac. With a heavy sigh, he continued about his work.

Your intelligence assets may need a working over, I have 2 corps in the area that declared independence, both controling a large amount of land, and my 1st Corp is currently holding the rebels back from Westminster. They were tied down because the Eurasians insisted they be the 'liberators'. However, the Eurasians have show that they cannot be counted on to help their allies, they have even cut my forces off from in country and out of country reinforcements.
Now, as far as I'm concerned, the Eurasians no longer have any control over the southern part of the island, leaving countless citizens to their deaths, not only that, but We Buy It Inc. has security forces within the cities that are trying their best to protect theirs and others lives. I believe my troops and any allied assests are the last hope for these people. I do not care if the Eurasians get their panties in a bunch because my troops get inforced. Consider our military port facilitites near the cost near Westminster open to any friendly forces.
The Eurasians and my pilots rule the sky, so any airborne troops are basically scot free to land at our bases.
God Speed.
------------------
Base Bravo-Alpha, Southeast of Stirling, West of Waltham Forest
The 2nd Marine Corp had been placed in charge of this area, within their base they had 2,500 Eurasian citizens who were eager to leave the area. However, the amount of communist rebels around them prevented any massive helicopter lift. The only option was to open up a corridor between the base and the area surrounding Stirling. A message was fired off to the Eurasian Government informing them of the plan, or the back up, an airlift via transport out of the base. A second message was fired to the Cravanians, as the Skyians had little faith in the Eurasians.
Meanwhile, the 6th Marine Division geared up for the breakout. Hundreds of tanks and armored vehicles were poised to smash through the resistance and allow the people to escape, all they needed was the ok. The 7th and 8th Divisions had been assigned to protect their rear and the base, while the 9th and 10th geared up for an offensive on Waltham Forest itself.
Base Alpha-Alpha, Southwest of Worchester, North of Hillingdon
The 3rd Corp had been placed in charge of this area, an offensive was to begin between the 1st and 3rd Corps to open a passage for supplies and civilians between the 3rd Corps bases and Westminster, while also liberating Hillingdon.
Now, We Buy It Inc. forces had been holed up in Hillingdon and were trying to supply the military with updates from their command bunker just inside the city, the 2,250 troops and countless civilians holed up there fighting for their lives.
Hillingdon/Westminster
The message from the Typhoon Class Submarines had been intercepted by the ELINT in the area. The information had been forwarded to the Skyian 3rd and 1st Corps, however, the 3rd Corps was two far away to strike, but the 1st Corp had a company of artillery within range.
Within minutes of the information reaching the ears of their commander, the Skyian Rocket Artillery began firing procedures. One of the vehicles had been equipped with the longer ranged 355x4750mm Rockets. They were equipped with penetrating explosive warheads.
Soon the rockets began to streak towards the harbor, their warheads would either penetrate and destroyer the Typhoon, or the near missiles would create enough pressure in the water to crush the Mikes or possibly the Typhoon. As soon as the first eight missiles were down range, another salvo was being prepared.
Mean while at the Base Delta-Alpha a strike force of 4 F/A-84s were prepared to take out the submarine and port facilities, they were equipped with sixteen GBU-39 Small Diameter Bombs to increase their hitting power.

The monorail hurtled forth, the concrete walls surrounding it a blur.
"The Coalition has barely communicated with us - they deem us incompetent. Of course, we're the only ones to have actually gained ground against the PRA. Naturally, since they deem us small, we are deemed 'invaluable', even though this war takes place on our land," Dalton spat bitterly. "However, The Silver Sky has mentioned that they are intending to break through rebel lines at Stirling, a city liberated by Eurasia, and evacuate personnel to the United Kingdom. Eurasia has decided to utilise shock and awe tactics rather than employing ground troops. We've had bombers and fighters circling over the entire province of Viridis Forestis, taking out rebel convoys and supply trains. The city of Worchester will be the next focus of our assault. We're going to bomb the city and the area around it back to the stone age. If we manage to deprive the city of water, food, power, aid, etc., then the rebels will face massive unrest, loosening their control. When the First Army, and your troops, march into Worchester, restoring power, water, aid, and food, their will be absolutely no rebel influence. Are your troops capable of handling this?"

We understand that your nation is undergoing a civil war, and that We Buy It Inc. (henceforth referred to as WBI) has a heavy presence in your fine nation. As you are probably not aware, we currently control 10% of WBI. Both Global Tetrahedron Inc. (GTI) and WBI are more than capable of supplying your governments forces with any arms they may need; including, but not limited to, fighters, land vehicles, small arms, logistics, etc. In addition, we request permission to resupply any and all WBI outposts within rebel controlled areas until they can be liberated.
Furthermore, since many of these areas will be depressed in value, lacking a major influx of capital, we are looking into investing heavily in businesses that would otherwise fail given current conditions.

With that done, it occured to Bernard: why only play one side of the fence? The rebels had access to a good amount of hard currency that their commie asses had no right to owning. Jack stood rigidly before the dozen Eurasian prisoners of war that laid before him.
They writhe like worms on the floor, he thought. Filthy capitalist brutes. And those two women - especially disgusting; think they own the world - well, not if the Chairman has something to say about it.
He withdrew a small, green book from his pocket, with the words "Quotations from Chairman Yakovlev" emblazoned on it. He flipped to the page entitled Women, which read:
Our fundamental task regarding women is to reorganise labour so that they are encouraged to stay at home, to be modest - as all loyal Party members ought to be - and to be obedient - as all loyal Party members ought to be...
Well, they certainly aren't modest, he laughed to himself as he looked at their torn uniforms, which were already revealing, in Jack's opinion, beforehand.
"Guards, bring me...that one for interrogation," Jack barked, pointing to one of the female pilots. Two burly Party soldiers grabbed her by the wrists and threw her body into another holding room as if she was a rag doll. "Thank you," Jack stated curtly, a smile growing on his face.
"State your name!" he shouted.
"Commander Sophie Richardson," she whispered weakly. "Eurasian Royal Air Force."
"A Commander, eh? Interesting," intoned Jack as he reached for his taser. "And what was your objective?"
Sophie sat silently, shaking her head. Jack simply shot her with the taser, laughing maniacally as she screamed in agony, as her body coursed with electricity.
"You know the funny thing? I'm not really a socialist!" Jack chuckled. "I just do it because they would let me torture people. Now, tell me your objective."
"The coal-based power-plant in Grid 9C," she groaned.
"Better," Jack stated as he drew closer to her. He ripped her uniform off violently. He replaced the taser in his pocket and left the room momentarily, coming back with a small, metallic headband, which he placed on her head.
"Now, this dial lets me control two things: pain, and pleasure," Jack declared, as if he was lecturing to an invisible audience. "If I turn it one way, you'll feel pleasure rivalling your greatest orgasm...but if I turn it the other way...it'll feel as if a thousand metal spikes have been rammed into your stomach. Now, tell me everything you know."

The cost for this shipment would be $68,250,000 for the rifles and $1,102,500 for the ammunition. Additional shipments of nearly any manufacturable item will take 48 hours from point of manufacture to delivery.
We must further stress that, while you have experienced lackluster results with WBI, GTI is not a military contractor in the same sense as WBI. We are geared towards the service and manufacturing sectors. You will probably find that the GDP growth we can bring more than passes the worth of the insult that WBI may have caused to your nation.

Our first shipment of 10,000 AK-108s, along with 300,000 5.56 NATO rounds in 30-round box magazines will be shipped as "reinforcement supplies" to WBI bases. We expect payment on site in the form of non-londinium currency or cash equivlents (i.e. bonds/stock in WBI, gold, diamonds, etc.) Perferred payment is a wire transfer from a numbered account to Whyatican bank #45789234.
Understand this: by supplying you, we are risking war with any countries willing to stomp you down. Thus, there is a premium charge of 25% of the total shipment. Realize that these rifles are a vast improvement on the WW2 surplus you are currently using, and "greasing the wheels" will give us more confidence in shipping you more advanced weapon systems, including advanced rockets. Total payment required is 9,250,000; an ammount that should be a pittance for your organization.

A squadron of F/A-84 had been liotering in the area, they're stealthy nature keeping them from being detected. They watched as the SAMs radars went active and the missiles streaked skyward.
Eager for some action the squadron leader turned his nose groundward, his AN/APG-525 radar eagerly aquiring the targets him and his squadron let loose a volley of eight AGM-801IR 'Fire Strike' Intermediate Range Multi-Function Missiles, their 60kg High-Explosive Blast Fragmentation warheads eager to explode and destroy the enemy vehicles and radar. However, they quickly picked up a sizeable rebel convoy on their IRSTs. Streaking down they launched off a few SDBs before flying back up.
The F/A-84s then turned to regain altitude and stay away from the action. Praying for the bomber crew that was shot down.

The operation was to begin. The thousands of troops and vehicles assembled at the 'start' eagerly waited for their orders. Soldiers crouched in their IFVs while tank commanders listened for the signal. Sixteen F/A-84s soared above in the skies, their SDBs awaiting the chance to blow up some rebels.
Artillery crews scanned the skies, waiting for a signal. Seconds, minutes passed as the dark began to take over the sky. Then, just as the sun dipped below the horizion three huge signal flares were fired skywards, they exploded in blueish glow above the enemy positions, then faded down slightly as their parachutes held them above the enemies.
Then the signal went out, the artillery fired towards the enemies, intent on blowing them into little pieces as the F/A-84s dropped their SDBs equipped with bomblets to saturate the area, a total of ninety-six SDBs glided towards the enemies. The signal was sent to the Eurasians for them to begin their bombardment. Skyian forces would wait until the thump-thump of artillery stopped before advancing, the 'airborne' elements of the diviions being tasked with escorting he civilians towards their extraction.

"That's the signal," stated Field Marshal Roderiguez triumphantly. Picking up his radio, he signalled his forces. "Fighters, begin your attack. Artillery, initiate shelling of the rebel forces. Ground troops, stand by."
One hundred and forty four Eurafighters swept over the scene, pummeling the rebel troops. Enemy SAMs attempted to shoot down the fighters, but the skilled RAF pilots gracefully evaded them, watching with glee as artillery forced the rebels to take cover. The artillery fell silent after thirty minutes, but aircraft still prowled the sky.

I have been instructed to inform your government, Sir Sinclair, that my forces are at your disposal. At this point in time, a division of airborne troops are en route to Terrence AFB, to assist Eurasian and Skyian forces in the southern combat zones. An air campaign is set to begin momentarily, and we will move to support your forces in the south assuming you give us legitimate targets to strike and cover. With cooperation between Eurasian and Coalition forces, the rebels will not survive for long.

"Thank you, Captain, and welcome to Eurasia.", Weatherby said with a smile. "Now that you people are here, we can get to business.", he said as his government issue cell phone chirped an alert. He flipped it open quickly, reading the message that Illiorian planes were vectored in on their approach and had been cleared for landing by the tower. "Looks like we'll also have our Illiorian friends coming in about now, as well.", he said, looking up. "As if we aren't crowded enough in here."
He motioned towards the central command building, a large, almost featureless concrete building with many bullet-proof windows dotting the exterior.
"Let's get you and your pilots inside for the briefing while we wait for the Illiorians and your troops' equipment to get offloaded. There's no time to spare, Skyian forces down south require assistance ASAP."

Sergeant Emily Falkens of the 104th Airborne division sat in her seat on the IAL-4, approaching the sixth hour of continuous travel to Terrence AFB. Her division had been ordered out, with a request from Skyian forces for support in the south. Since Marine forces are not nearly as mobile as the airborne, the 104th was taken off the waiting list.
"How long until we get to Terrence?", she asked her neighbor while adjusting herself in her seat.
"About an hour.", he replied. "We should be approaching the coverage zone of the task force in the area about now.", he replied.
The armada of aircraft, both large and small, continued the trek to Kensington. Soon enough Skyian forces would have their assistance in full force.

Outside of Kensington
The air train was flowing into the airbase quite perfectly, thanks to the skills of the Cravanian Tower operators and the Staff got on the ground and began to set up operations immediately. Comms began flinging messages back and forth with the fleet, and something was definitely brewing. The AWACs craft got back into the air, going to a high altitude to stay out of range of Man held SAMs. Refueling Aircraft began to do the same, with several of each in the sky, it was unlikely that any aircraft would get lost or run out of fuel.
The Commanding officer of the force, Colonel Marcus B. Confuddled (Yes, I'm absolutely serious) walked over to the hangar where all the Cravanians and Aequatians seemed to be. "Ello Ladies and Gents," he said as he walked over towards those who seemed to be the ranking Officers. "Let's get this show on the road! I've got word from the Fleet that an assault's to take place north of Worchester sometime in the next several Hours, you want in?"
The Fleet
Some tempest was definitely brewing over the Fleet. The Carriers and LHDs began to gather together, moving to the north of Worchester, and ISF-24s began to take off, moving up to 22,000 feet, keeping their signatures as stealthy as possible for the time being. Other ISF-24's began making Mid level passes over Worchester, staying as stealthy as possible, and began to take IR and Night vision pictures, and streamed RT video to the Command center on the Cernunnos Class CBGN
On Board the LHDs, the Helljumpers began Suiting up, each man checking his and his partner's gear. They were ready, they were some of the best, and few had ever been bested. It was time to show what the Illiorian forces were made out of, and also time to show that it was individualism that made the world go, not collectivisim.

Ministry for Defence White Paper Regarding Viridis Forestis
Made 2 March 2009
http://img157.imageshack.us/img157/9180/0807sa1nx1.jpg
Executive Summary
Mr Prime Minister, the situation in Viridis Forestis grows more grievous with each passing day. Despite GASN and international support, the fact remains that it will tax our armed forces to fully root out the People's Revolutionary Army (PLA). This civil war has been one of the greatest tests of the Eurasian Armed Forces of the Crown, and so far, Eurasian troops have proven remarkably competent in driving back PLA forces.
Notwithstanding that, it is crucial to bear in mind the extent of PLA power wihin Viridis Forestis. Though actual, ideological supporters of the PLA remain limited in proportion to the sixty million residents of the province, the PLA leadership has succesfully utilised soft power assets in creating both a cult of personality along with an aura of invincibility within Viridis Forestis; this, coupled with their utilisation of concentration camps to ensure loyalty to the Party, has forged a solid base of blind followers to PLA edicts and doctrines. As we can see in Stirling, the only city liberated from the rebels, thousands of individuals required rehabilitation due to extreme mental conditioning imposed upon them by the PLA rebels. It is predicted that the liberation of Waltham Forest will be met with thousands of insurgent attacks, causing scores of deaths and depleting valuable resources.
Therefore, the Ministry for Defence proposes two solutions for circumventing the aformentioned problems. First, we utilise "rapid dominance" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shock_and_awe) tactics before utilising ground forces - this utilisation of hard power resources has been proven to supplement soft power resources, which could possibly undermine any vestiges of PLA loyalty in Viridis Forestis. Secondly, Eurasia allows Viridis Forestis to gain its independence, and surround it with a de-militarised zone similar to the one found in the Korean Peninsula. This state will either crumble due to mismanagement problems, or it will evolve into a capitalist society, making it more pliable to later reunification talks...

“Comrade Chairman Ivan Yakovlev, the shipment is expected to arrive in an hour at the abandoned base.”
“Yes, very good. Payment is over there.” Yakovlev was in the hot tub, naked, another expensive bottle of Champagne nearly empty.
“Comrade Yakovlev, there has been some discontent among the masses. We’re being cut off from supplies and the population as a whole is discontent.”
“The masses, comrade Yaromir, are expendable for the people’s will.”
“You also appear, Comrade Chairman, to have alienated nigh all foreign support for our glorious cause.” said Nikifor Yaromir, third in command of the revolt. “Without allies, we are doomed, and some corporate swine with a helicopter and some guns won’t win this.”
“Do you dare doubt the power of the proletariat?” Yakovlev looked positively steely, bordering on murderous.
“No, comrade chairman, but the proletariat doubt you.” he said, snapping his fingers. Five men entered, wearing ski-masks and black suits entered, AK-74’s in hand. One of them pulled the bolt back, chambering a round.
“You son of a bitch!” cried Yakovlev, reaching for a gold-plated Hardballer. Yaromir dropped his hand, and the men fired, riddling him with bullets, bloodying the bubbling tub.
Yaromir took the pistol and holstered it.
“Leave the scum there. Do we have the records?”
“Yes sir.” Dutifully replied one of the hitman. “We have all account information, few hundred million worth.”
“He was a traitor to socialism. We need to meet the choppers.”
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Four semi-trucks, liberated from the Eurasian capitalists, were parked in the loading docks of the abandoned We Buy It! Inc. installation. Nikifor Yaromir took a drag from his cigarette, watching the white CH-54 Tarhe and its attack escorts approach. They took 10 minutes, before a black BDU-clad man emerged from the landing bay.
“Payment?” he asked Yaromir simply. A black-suited, gloved man approached the two, and opened an attaché case, revealing orderly rows of $100 and $1,000 bills.
“Exact amount. Here is our shopping list. Send us payment details as soon as you’re ready to deliver it. Time is of the essence. Let We Buy It! know that they should consider themselves safe for now.”
“Right. Lock combinations are 1-9-7-4.” The pallets were dropped near ground level, kicking up some dust, and the helicopters lifted off. Yaromir opened one of the large containers, revealing neat, orderly jam-packed AK-108s and box magazines. He pulled one out, loaded it, pulled the bolt, and fired at a wall. The rifle barely jumped as he unleashed a 7-round burst against a wall.
“Men, arm yourselves. The Eurasian pigs will be attacking by dawn, and we have some rifles to distribute. If we can hold the line, we’ll have some shit better than those RPG-7’s we seem to have a bunch of. How did we not detect that fuck Yakovlev’s embezzlement earlier?”
“I don’t know sir.” Replied one of the convoy guards, slapping a box magazine into the weapon.
“Either way, let the city commander’s know: there are to be no more killings in the street. We fight for the people, we die for the people. If any of our commanders continue with these… atrocities, kill them yourselves out of mercy; a much crueler fate would await them if we merely threw them onto the street. Release the capitalists, let them flee. It will create a logistical nightmare for the Allied forces when they get swamped by our prisoners. Let them know, of course, that their tormentors have been freed of this world. There will be no more mass executions as long as I am still alive.”
The trucks left, each carrying their deadly cargo to distribution centers of the rebellion. Hopefully the sudden flood of refugees would stall an offensive for at least a few days for a few thousand heavy arms to reach the already heavily fortified Worchester ahead of the offensive. If not, the rebels would need to further barricade Hillington, or else retreat into the Waltham Forest.

Comrades, I come to you in a time of need. Our noble struggle for a socialist utopia has been corrupted by our leaders. But just as the chaff is burned and the wheat treasured, so too did we destroy the evil in our midst. I have seized control of our movement. The executions have been ended, and we are purging those responsible for these atrocities. As a sign of goodwill, we have opened the camps, and refugees are reportedly fleeing. While I would normally care for them myself, as we serve the people, the Eurasian government has destroyed our power and food distribution centers.
As should be painfully obvious, no revolution, no matter great, can succeed without help. Right now, comrades, we are in dire straights. I implore you all: break the blockade around the Eurasian Isles so that we may be replenished. We are being bled dry, and without help, we will surely fail.

Briefing Room
Weatherby smirked as the Illiorian officer poked his head in, offering a position in the coming assault.
"We were just about to begin discussing combat operations over the southern province. Please, take a seat and we'll get started with the briefing."
The lights dimmed, and an overhead projector flickered to life, a map of Eurasia outlined on the large screen at the front of the room. Weatherby clicked a switch on his remote, and the rebel-controlled area was outlined in red.
"As you can see here, PLA forces hold these areas of the southern island. It's a hot zone down there, and our pilots currently performing patrols over the area are doing so with great caution."
He clicked the remote again, this time outlining a few areas in blue.
"These are current Skyian positions, particularly located just southeast of Stirling. They're currently attempting a breakout, and it is our duty to assist the Eurasians and Soviets in opening up an air corridor to evacuate civvies and the like. Once we accomplish this, we are to commence combined operations against the rebels. Particularly around...." He clicked his remote again, outlining an area in green. "... Worchester. I have Banshees scouting the area as we speak, but as our Illiorian friend mentioned, there is to be an assault on Worchester in a few hours."
The lights brightened up, and General Weatherby stepped towards the table a bit. The briefing room was set up in an old conference room, and was set up around a long table. Aequatian and Cravanian personnel lined the table, and those who were not able to find seats stood along the back wall. It was the best that could be done for the moment, since the base was still being renovated to be a more permanent Cravanian-style installation. Colonel Confuddled was located at the front of the table, near General Weatherby.
"Colonel, would you like to inform us of your current plans for the assault on Worchester? I currently have a shitload of birds here on the base that can be used, a division of airborne troops inbound within the hour, and I have a contingent of Imperial Guardsmen dying to get out into the battle and work with Aequatian and Illiorian groups. All of 'em can be deployed, and I just need to know when and where. Our intelligence assets in this area are fairly limited until the next satellite passover, so any insight is appreciated."

David spent three weeks straight calculating the precise measurements for the tail, and everytime he saw that aircraft, he smiled to himself.
"Air Marshal," intoned Air Commodore Juan Garcia. "We can't keep on like this any longer. We haven't been able to get a decent amount of fresh victuals in days. The pilots can't fly on what they've got to eat anymore. Trout ice cream and hardtack does not a dinner make."
"I know, I know," replied Richards exasperatedly. "But what choice do we have? Before this, we were on the least-readiness condition, and our stores have had to be distributed with the entire island of Bexley."
"Sir, if I may be so bold," commented Garcia, "I would like to make a recommendation. I propose a direct cruise missile strike on Viridis Forestis - especially on, say, Worchester."
"But there's hundreds of thousands of civilians there!" countered Richards. "We can't sacrifice innocent Eurasians!"
"Sir!" spat Garcia. "We have no choice! If Worchester goes down, they lose their primary port, and their naval forces will be shot - we'll finally have access to fresh food again."
"Very well," said Richards in clipped English. "Computer, initiate cruise-missile strike sequence Papa-Three. Authorisation: Richards Uniform-Yankee-Xray."
Preliminary launch orders confirmed. Awaiting confirmation from second-in-command, replied a computerised voice.
"Computer, initiate cruise missile strike sequence Papa-Three. Authorisation: Garcia Zulu-Hotel-November," Garcia enunciated clearly.
Launch orders approved and authorised. Initiating firing sequence.
In the distance, twenty AGM cruise missiles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AGM-86) gracefully departed from their silos, soaring towards the port facilities at Worchester.

"Everything seems to be in order," the soldier stated. "Please, enter. Go down the hall, take the elevator to the floor marked 'Command Centre', and Minister Crompton will meet you there."
Major General Lukas Alexander nodded and entered the facility, followed closely by his aides and the other Commanders, the followed the instructions and soon found themselves in the Command Centre, a sentry placed there was eyeing them.

This roused Sir Phillip from his deep meditation. He spun around, perused the Soviets, and approached them, shaking their hands.
"Welcome, esteemed Soviets," declared Sir Phillip. "Sir Phillip Sinclair, Prime Minster of Eurasia, Order of the Eurasian Empire, at your service. You couldn't have picked a more convienent time to come - our assault on Worchester is due to begin shortly. Any clarifications before we begin?"

"Evacuation of insurgents is acceptable," replied the Prime Minister. "But it would be appreciated if they could be detained in Eurasian facilities - with your supervision, of course. Now, for the attack plan for Worchester. Your artillery barrage will start the assault - and that barrage must happen now. What little radar that was still unscathed from artillery barrages and random soirees was inadequate to detect the incoming missiles. They exploded, destroying several crane facilities and warehouses. Little major damage was done, however, to the largely underground fuel tanks and the massive concrete docks themselves. Some of the missiles, however, overshot their targets, exploding over an insulated and diesel-generator equipped warehouse, one of several, being used to store food. All it did was give the rebels easy propaganda: The government was attempting to starve them into submission, and doing a pretty incompetent job at that. If anything, the populace of the city of was more firmly behind the rebel command of Worchester.
The influx of AK-108’s wouldn’t make a shit worth of a difference, it was a drop in the bucket, most of which would be distributed among the rebels controlling the Waltham Forest and the outlying hamlets. A mere 2,500 were interspersed among the ranks, though the city bore guns more than a factor of 10 above that.

"Well... let's see..." Confuddled went on, "From my knowledge, 4 Illiorian Brigades are going to be inserted within the next 6 hours. Preceeding them will be CAS strikes around the Worchester area. As of right now, I've had word that a team is going in right now for recon and other strike missions. At this point, there is an option to allow the insertion of Aequatian and Cravanian forces preceeding the Helicopters and following the Air Strikes.
"The primary objective will be to clear a path for armored forces to the north to drive straight into Worchester without delay or problems. After they're able to take care of themselves, whatever forces are down there will load up onto Assault helos and move south around the city and position themselves outside a Skyian base which is surrounded at this point. The objective from there is to break open the gates and allow Skyian forces to flood out and take care of themselves. After that, I haven't word. "Probably a recon force... but we can't take any chances. If they want to assault this city, then we will spill the first blood. Alert the local commanders, send technicals and men out. We can't risk any of our best fighters on this one." commanded Yaromir.
"Yes comrad yaromir." replied the morse code operator, tapping out the basic information across the closed lines between command hubs. Techincals, some sporting recoilless rifles, others heavy machine guns, were taken out from under nets and tarps, and headed out to interdict the helicopter, while footmen scrambled aboard any transportation they could find. Hundreds of armed rebels began pouring into the forest.

I hope your war is going well against the communist traitors in the southern isle of Eurasia. Our contractors in Eurasia have reported that all of the Steyr Aug A3s and their various accessories, have been properly disseminated to your armories, where I am more than assured that they will be put to good use.
I have been informed that you and your allies are beginning an offensive of some form against the city of Worchester, and that your initial attack will be heavy on artillery. To alleviate potential shortages of these critical muntions, we are going to begin shipping large numbers of 155mm and 105mm howitzer rounds, as well as several pallets of 7.62 NATO, 5.56 NATO, and 0.50 BMG ammunition, which our contractors report will be in heavy use by you and your allies.
Please let us know what other contracting solutions you might need to properly put down this rebellion.
Please get back to me, and I look forward to continuing business with you.

Soon after the first Illiorian flight departed the Marquess, a Cravanian MH-20 Shadowcat (not to be confused with the IH-20) lifted off, its cargo being eight Imperial Guard Pathfinders. The Shadowcat kept low to the waves, and soon enough treetops, finally finding a suitable clearing for a landing zone. She dropped her cargo carefully, about one click north of where the Illiorians had been dropped off. The eight pathfinders fanned out through the clearing, beginning the long trudge to rendezvous with their Illiorian counterparts when the Shadowcat began its departure.
Captain Richard Delkins held his M2 carbine close as he kept low in the brush, his counterparts following in formation close behind. Silence and stealth were the keys to their success, and the group was trained well in that regard.
"Alright, ladies and gents.", he whispered. "The enemy probably saw us dropping in, so stay sharp. Mendez, Jackson, keep an eye out."
"Ten-four, chief.", came the quiet response.
Delkins could feel the sweat come trickling down his forehead in drops, his camo face paint smudging slightly however resistant to his perspiration. He kept himself from wiping the beads of sweat, though, knowing it would only spread his face paint across his gloved hands.

Lieutenant-Colonel Nicholas "Falcon" Jones walked along the tarmac as his unit, the 2nd Pioneer Battalion, prepared to board the ARAF C-130Q Hercules transports which would be bringing his personnel to their drop zones and clear the way for the other GASN troops. The rest of the regiment was being dropped as well, although not together in the same landing zone, however, each battalion was trained to fight as an independent unit until relieved by a larger force. He secured his MP45 submachinegun onto his leg holster as he prepared his main and reserve parachutes. Slung underneath the reserve parachute was the officer's rucksack, which contained personal equipment and supplies for the standard thirty-six hours of combat they were trained to endure normally before being resupplied. The Air Force loadmaster, in his OD green jumpsuit and helmet stepped down from the aircraft as the other members of the battalion headquarters company loaded the heavier equipment onto the aircraft, including the HQ platoon's pair of Kitsune armoured cars on palettes for the airdrop.
Elsewhere, the battalion's rifle companies prepared their men for the drops, most of the heavier vehicles such as the 2.5-ton trucks and Cougar HMMWVs would not be dropped until they were cleared for a landing zone, leaving the separate battalions to fight as light infantry for most of their time on the ground. They would have to rely on their weapons and training to see them through until relieved by the larger allied forces. Lieutenant-Colonel Jones climbed aboard the aircraft through the side jump door along with his platoon as the aircraft prepared to take its place on the flight line, he looked over his digital images of maps for the drop zones and where they would be fighting. Worchester. Within thirty minutes, the first C-130Qs were in the air and en route to their drop zones.

As soon as the last of the Eurasian artillery and bombs stopped falling the assault was a go. The Skyian Artillery increased it's range to 500m from the Eurasian lines and spread out in a cylinder shape, moving away from the line of assault.
There was no resistance as the Skyian Armored Brigades began to advance, heavy M160A2 'Phoenix' Main Battle Tanks scanning the area with their IR and MMW RADAR sensors, looking for a poor hapless technical or rebel to blow apart with their co-axial 35mm cannon, or perhaps a fortification to implode with their 120mm thermobaric rounds.
Soon after the tanks began to advance so did the IFVs and CMPL Light Trucks. Some of them carried refugees, but the bulk were carried in medical vehicles or on cargo trucks modified for persons to sit in.
The Eurasians, and safety for the refugees were only 8km away, a short distance, but a very bumpy and long ride over the shell cratered landscape.
Artillery facing Waltham Forest began to bombard rebel positions outside the city with their guided shells, scattering sensor-fuzed weapons and bomblets over their positions while a Skyian armored brigade prepared to move towards the city.
Base Alpha-Alpha, Southwest of Worchester, North of Hillingdon
Several teams of scouts had been dispatched around the area, waiting for the Illiorian and Cravanian helicopters to reach the area, while waiting for rebel movement. They had been moving on foot, their marine sniper training helping them greatly, as did their advanced equippment.
As soon as the helicopters were spotted over the horizion, visually that is, their rotors making them un-stealthy enough for the F/A-84As to pinpoint them from takeoff, the call went out for the Skyians to join them. The scouts held their positions, waiting for enemy activity.
Back at the mobilization area several SAH-33 Attack Helicopters and UH-90 Rabbit transport helicopters. A force of four SAH-33s and two UH-90s were to be sent out to near, but not at, the positions that the other allies had landed. The rest of the division was refueling and rearming for the main push on Worchester, while the other divisions were preparing to push towards the 1st Corp and Hillingdon.
Several LV-09 CMPLs had been dispatched towards Worchester, a total of six, two carrying 15.5mm HMGs, one with a twin ATGM launcher, another with a twin SA-33 Launcher, and the last two with 35x175mm Semi-Automatic Gas Revolver Sniper Cannon. Their job, and that of their thirty-six troops, was to scout the defenses of Worchester and try to take out targets of opprotunity, the 35mm cannons giving them an accurate range of nearly 2km against a single ground target, or 2.5km against groups or buildings.

Field Marshal Dalton stood in the large briefing room, surrounded by heavily detailed diagrams of the attack plan. The room was illuminated only by a scarlet light. How fitting, he thought. Red lighting for the sanguine of the blood that will be spilt for Eurasia.
"Esteemed allies in the war. Soldiers of the Royal Army. Pilots of the RAF," he began. "Today, we shall strike a terrible blow against the traitors in Viridis Forestis. Today, Eurasia will liberate the oppressed people of Worchester. Today, Eurasia will stem the tide of a dangerous rebellion lead by a sociopathic Chairman. Today, we will be victorious, as Eurasia always has been!"
Cheering resonated throughout the room, enthusiasm diffusing throughout each individual. Dalton could smell the sweet scent of victory already.
"Ladies and gentlemen, your orders lie in front of you. But, a brief summary," Dalton narrated, as if to a scholarly audience at the Royal University. He always did have predilection for abundant flair. "Bombers will pummel the rebel defences, along with artillery. Fighters and ground troops will then sweep them up. Understood?"
"Yes, sir!" was the loud, choral response.

One of the rebel "archers" crouched behind one of the few generators that were still working in Worchester. Made in the 1980s, the 9K38 Igla was the only model of MANPAD the late Comrad Chairman had bothered to procure. Luckily, there were a few thousand of them floating around the rebel strongholds of Worchester and Waltham forces.
The bombing had begun to start. The Archer used the weapon's gunsights to aim at a general swarth of aircraft.
"All teams fire in 3...2...1... fire!" came the order over the walkie-talkies. He depressed the gun trigger, sending off the rocket, a beautiful contrail lead directly back to him. Around the city and from the forests, dozens upon dozens of SA-18's streaked towards their targets, be they at Eurasian fighters or the encroaching Aequatian C-130s.

The Skyian bombardments took a devestating toll on the outskirts of the city, leveling smaller buildings being used to house civilians and rebels alike. With most of the city behind the rebellion, the barrages could only do so much. The fighting would be from building to building.

Operation: COBALT HAMMER had begun. Alongside the aircraft were a number of F-29A Black Eagle fighter escorts, their contrails left behind as they covered the higher altitude, searching the sky for enemy aircraft with their radar systems. Lieutenant-Colonel Jones braced himself against the inner wall of the transport as it corrected itself in level flight as it maintained its course towards the drop zone, he looked at his watch and looked up as the headquarters platoon's jumpmaster, Sergeant-Major Jason Rottman, directed the platoon members to the door, its lamp still red, "Twenty minutes!" Was heard over the roar of the engines from the veteran NCO as Jones took his step at the door and greeted his old comrade, who had been a mere staff sergeant when he led his first rifle platoon as a green lieutenant, "See you on the ground, Nick!" He shouted as the lamp turned yellow.
"You too, Rottweiler!" The officer shouted as the lamp turned green and the officer jumped forward into the open air. He was jerked back as his parachute opened and he watched the aircraft fly off as he drifted towards the ground, other parachutes following. The rear ramp opened as the large M1270 Kitsune armoured cars were dropped out, their mass of parachutes opening, allowing them to drift down to the landing zone. Weapons containers followed, holding many of the heavier weapons and ammunition crates for the troopers once they reached the ground. Soon the entire battalion would be ready for combat.

The field which had been chosen for the operation was ideal for the battalion's landing zone, Lieutenant-Colonel Jones returned his attention to his rigging and detached his parachute and began to wrap it up and store it with its gear. He drew his MP45 and set the trigger grouping to burst as he assembled his platoon, meeting up with Sergeant-Major Rottman as he loaded his G28 rifle with a fresh magazine and started off towards the nearest landing rifle platoon, "Hey, don't bunch up like that, get into your formations!" He shouted as the soldiers hurried to take up their positions on the perimeter.
Jones looked to his left as the mortar platoon of Echo Company began to set up their 60mm weapons after collecting them and ammunition from their designated weapons container. Many of them were sitting or kneeling, waiting for the call from their sergeant with coordinates for a fire mission. He checked his map again as he moved forward and assembled with his headquarters, "We're to hold a position for the rest of the airborne forces, I want Echo company and its fire support sections from Hotel to move South while Foxtrot and Golf hold the landing zone and mark it off with positional beacons for the allied aircraft. Major Ford, I want you to stay here with the landing zone while I go with Echo, got it?"

During this civil war, a number of nations have entered the fray in assistance of Eurasia, something that we greatly appreciate. However, too many of those nations have yet to even contact the Eurasian government regarding their plans for the rebels. This is distressing at best. The fact that nations such as Illior, Aequatio, and now Sovereign California have failed to consult us in this matter is a blatant violation of our sovereignty. Therefore, we have little choice but to demand that these three nations either withdraw from our territory forthwith, or that all military actions, if they choose to remain, are cleared and approved by the Ministry for Defence. We could get up and leave, but that would mean abandoning our Cravanian, Skyian, and Aequatian allies, who we were originally intending to help, and it was assumed by my superiors that you'd welcome the assistance of those who wished to see Eurasia continue as a Democratic state. "Open Fire!"
For a minute, there was silence, then, the thunderous roar of the hundreds of artillery pieces firing filled the skies, they fired and fired and fired, not letting whoever was on the recieving end a moment of rest.
The soviets wanted to cause as much destruction they could on the city's structures, that way, it'd be easier for the infantry and armoured forces to advance.
"KEEP FIRING DAMMIT!" Yelled a sergeant, his voice was not heard by his men, covered by the deafening sounds of war, they needed no spur though, they were intent on leveling Worchester, and damned be them if they didnt suceed.

Colonel Jones dropped to a knee along with the scores of troopers as the sounds of the massive artillery barrage to the South, "What the fuck is that?" Asked Sergeant-Major Rottman as he looked at the colonel.
"They aren't Illiorian or Cravanian guns," Said the colonel as he waved his communications operator over. The staff sergeant kneeled beside the officer as Jones took the handset off the Comm-link, "Allied Command, this is Cherry-Two-Six, I have artillery coming down on Worchester, any ideas who's firing those guns, over?"

OOC: How many people live in Worchester, presuming that 70% + or - are in favor of socialism. Never mind that there are still "pockets" of Skyian nationals in the city, chiefly around WBI bases, but hey, level the city why don't you.
From deep within the city, the artillery pounding could be heard as artillery shells pounded the pavement and buildings. The majority of the armed resistance in the area was killed, along with their civilian compatriots. Dozens of thousands of them in the opening minutes. The barrage crept slowly up the city, pounding out all life, scattering bricks and bodies alike. Before it would finish, the blood of almost 3 million, mostly civilians, would be on the hands of TWSP and their murderous compatriots. Most of the hardcore rebels, realzing that it was better to live and fight another day, retreated into the forests that they knew best. The few that were left alive and unbroken in the remnants of Worchester would fight to the last man.

OOC: My IC and OOC thoughts exactly Mer.
IC:
Skyian Counter-Battery Radar watched the shells flew from Eurasian and TWSPian positions descended onto the poor helpless citizens of Worchester, thousands of innocent civilians were blasted to pieces as TWSP artillery pummeled the city, moving across and leaving nothing untouched.
Skyian Commanders hurriedly started to send encrypted messages to the We Buy It Inc. Security troops, warning them to get to cover as the curtain of soviet artillery advanced towards their positions.
A message was sent back, although it was too garbled by the sound of artillery to make sense of it, then communications ceased, only static could be heard, not even the pummeling of artillery could be heard. Skyian scouts watched in horror as gas mains exploded, taking over civilians, and as the ruins of the We Buy It Inc campus stood flaming, still being hit with artillery. Then, all of a sudden a gigantic explosion resonated through the surrounds.
It was the main building, the gas main had been damaged by a previous attack, allowing the building to be flooded with vapors. And then, a stray artillery shell had ignited it, sending the gas main and the main building to a fiery end.
Inside the bunker complex the civilian refugees and troops were relatively safe, they had their own underground gas, water, and generators to last another day or two, but their above ground food stores were decimated, every last ration and Cute Bunny Burger was in flames or littered with shrapnel.
A Skyian Scout shut off his video feed and sent it digitally to the chain of command, along with that assumption that it was TWSPian troops, since no major artillery engagement had come from the Eurasians so far, everything from them was done by air or missile, although the order most likely came from the Eurasians, knowing that TWSP would not do this without permission. He quickly grabbed his rifle and moved with his group of five men towards the Skyian 'controlled' sector of the city.
The message rapidly ascended, all the way to the commander-in-chief herself. President Maddox was furious, the idiocy so often displayed by Eurasian Commanders and Communist people was rearing it's ugly head again, apparently they had no tactical common sense, and infact were very hypocritical in their statements. President Maddox quickly drafted a message, sending it and the video off to the Senate and Congress who happened to be in session.

The Armed Capitalist Republic of The Silver Sky
The Silver Sky is shocked and appalled by the recent actions of troops from The Communist States of The World Soviet Party. We have recently been informed that the city of Worchester in Eurasian has been completely leveled by Soviet Artillery.
Intelligence estimates millions of innocent civilians dead or wounded throughout the city, while the city lays in shambles. However, the artillery doesn't look like it had the effect that the Eurasian strikes had against the rebels, this blatant human rights violation has done next to nothing against the rebels, only serving to possibly increase their cause. Also, any urban combat that would have been expected has been made much much worse, as rubble provides the perfect ambush positions for the rebels, compounding the problem of liberating the city. The Eurasian Commanders and TWSPian commanders that issued the orders obviously have no military common sense.
We call on the world to condemn the actions of The World Soviet Party troops, and demand that TWSP troops hand over themselves to Illiorian, Cravanian, and Aequatian Troops for possible human rights abuse trials. We also would like to show the world the TRUE face of communism, indiscrimate human rights abuses, the killing of innocent civilians, and the uncaringness for a human life. And following orders is NEVER an excuse for something like this, infact, the commanders that issued that order should be locked behind bars forever.
The Silver Sky also had Skyian Nationals, namely We Buy It Inc. security troops and buildings within the city of Worchester that were to be defended and liberated from the surrounding rebels. Any nation that would have done their research would have known that fact. The Silver Sky and We Buy It Inc. demand reparations for the damage done to facilities throughout the city NOT occupied by communist rebels and for the families of the innocent Skyian Nationals TWSP troops killed. Such damage assesments and reparations will take place after the rebellions end.
I personally would like to see the Soviet and Eurasian commanders responsible for this slaughter of innocents but behind bars for a very, very, long time.

Soviet ground troops assembling near Worchester provided coordinates for better strikes, however, not all of them were comfortable with this. It was not normal to strike entire cities just to make some terrorists come out. Among them, several high-ranking officers dissented with general command, and thus decided to take matters into their own hands.
"HQ, this Ground Command 1, over.
"Artillery Command here, what do you guys need?"
"Stop the barrage, now!"
"I'll need your name and rank, sir"
"Colonel Manuel Garcia, now stop!"
"Aye sir"
Slowly, the rumbling sounds in the background stopped, to be replaced by a ghostly silence.
"Now, we wait"

Skyian Ground troops watched from the moving and bouncing vehicles as the artillery stopped firing. They were under orders to not allow the Soviets to reach the city first, possibly saving millions more civilians from a horrible fate.
Two divisions of Skyian Troops, eight hundred tanks, thousand IFVs and nearly 40,000 troops marched towards the city, under the cover of F/A-84As and SAH-33 helicopters, which fluttered high in the sky.
M160A2 'Phoenix' MBTs moved through, and over trees and fences as they moved towards the city, their MMW Radars and IRSTs scanning the area for enemies. Several Tank Commanders gawked at the huge amount of smoke being expelled from the leveled city.
Should any TWSP troops be in their way or stop them, they had orders to move past by ANY means nessecary, starting with words.

OOC: TSS; if I actually had a single GTI in the city, i'd demand the head of TWSP's chief commander on a silver platter in my office by the end of the week.
The few rebels deemed expendible enough to stay in the city, mostly at the company level and below, emerged from their shelters, chiefly basements and subway tunnels. Not a single tall building remained, nor much of anything above three stories remained. One benefit, of course, was that the pyres from gas mains would obscure most attemted IR scans of the now flaming city. There would be no liberation of Worchester. There was no Worchester left. Every substantial structure, regardless of purpose, was bombed out. Dresden's destruction in the Great Patriotic War was child's play. Without homes, the majority of the able-bodied survivors, totaling no more than a hundred thousand or so, had no homes to fight for, be they from rebels or from the government, they had piles of rock, and their blood would stain those piles before they gave into those who raped their land.
"Remember Worchester!" would be the battle cry in the coming days.
Nikifor Yaromir, safely out of the city, received crude pictures of burned women and children screaming in pain, indiscriminate artillery attacks, and bodies. What few scouts had made it to the lines of the enemy reported back: The World Soviet Party; their supposed "communist" brothers, had betrayed them. He crafted a message to a bogus email account; they didn't have the bandwith for video; that triggered forwarding to others, that in turn, after a few dozen forwards, would reach most every news outlet and government.
"My name is Nikifor Yaromir, the leader of the Eurasian rebellion. Today was a great loss. Indiscriminate shelling by TWSP, the pawns of the Eurasian government, cowardly destroyed the city of Worchester. We believe that many hundreds of thousands, if not a million or two of our brothers and sisters, be they armed or innocent, old or young, man or child, were cut down. TWSP is a mockery of the movement of Socialism and Communism; they seek not to liberate the oppressed, but to destroy them for a rich and corrupt government who would rather a million perished than be cared for. The blood of our brothers will not go in vain, and we will perservere. And if we perish in this hour, we do so alone, but it will not be by heroic liberators in white armor, but by the grinding, faceless treads of tyranny."

Official Statement of the Government of the United Kingdom of Eurasia
The artillery attack on Worchester is part of the overall Eurasian military doctrine, approved by Parliament in the Ministry for Defence Overarching Strategies Act on 2 May 2008 regarding the policy of rapid dominance. Paragraph I, Section I states that the Ministry for Defence is to utilise the policy of rapid dominance, or "shock-and-awe" tactics, whenever applicable. The attack on Worchester was ordered as part of such a strategy to demolish enemy morale and to bring about a swift end to this horrific civil war. However, I certainly never intended for such a brutal attack on my fellow Eurasians, I mourn for the hundreds of thousands that are dead. I will personally compensate any nation for destruction to their property or personnel located within Worchester.

"Johnson, get on the horn and find out what the fuck is going on," Lieutenant Mark Hamel said.
Johnson nodded in affirmation and then pulled out his radio set, and got on their designated Frequency to call the AWACs

Word from the top says that your forces, along with the other battalions are to place any and all soldiers in Soviet uniforms and insignia under arrest and hold them until they can be removed to a prepared holding area here, over."
Jones, Rottman and the other soldiers around the radio looked at each other with confused expressions before the colonel keyed the handset again, "Say again, command?"
"You heard correctly, Two-Six, proceed as instructed by the orders coming in on your command console along with directions to the nearest Soviet positions, SCAR HQ, out."
The colonel switched channels, "Cherry-Two-Five, this is Two-Six, come in."

OOC: Just for the record, if Worchester had 1 Million people, at its peak (probable less as of the moment of the communist insurgency due to people escaping and such), there's no way my barrage could have left only 100,000 peeps (meaning I killed well over 800,000), since I didnt have that many guns. "Meanwhile, back at Islington, one could say the city looked like some sort of spiky animal. Truth was, hundreds of howitzers were aiming at the forest, city of Worchester and its sorrounding area, pieces ranging from 122mm to 203mm were ready to fire a devastating volley on the enemy, all that was needed was one command, and one city would be leveled in just a few minutes."
Without giving a direct number of howitzers at any point (in my recent memory), I presumed alot closer to a thousand. Seeing as your intent was to level the city by artillery fire, the city would indeed be leveled. For a city of 4,000,000; 100,000 isn't that unbelievable, seeing as there would be areas that would not be destroyed. That's only 2.5% of the original population, while most likely, another 400,000 or so are near death. If that is really that unreasonable, please let me know. And i'll have to adjust a previous post saying "4 million died" to "over 3 million died"

I do think that killing 3 Million over 4 Million is kinda' exaggerated. Even though, BL said the city didnt have that much people in it.
All in all, my guess is, that if the city had one million inside, the artillery strike, would have killed, at the most, a few thousands.
As for the number of howitzers present, I have, currently in BL, one Mech. Inf. Division, one armoured regiment and one combat engineer regiment, do you think they can muster well over one thousands artillery pieces?
450km North of Weatherby
The massive formation of IAL-4's sent shockwaves through the air as they cruised above the clouds, their target destination just about a half an hour away at this point. Their objective was to drop the 104th Airborne troops around Worchester, in support of the Aequatian and Skyian thrusts into the surrounding area.
Their escorts, two squadrons of F-2 Abaddons, gently cruised alongside the transports, their contrails forming white lines in the skies over Eurasia.
"All wings, we're approximately 450 klicks north of the combat zone. ETA thirty minutes."
"Copy that, lead."
Lieutenant Paco Dinez's radio blared for a moment as a local AWACS patched through, the tone of voice which the radio operator spoke in having a sense of urgency.
"Attention all wings, we're recieving reports from the Aequatians that Soviet arty has seriously damaged the city, possibly leveled it. At this point, we're not sure. Just be aware that the place might be a little more dangerous or a little less dangerous depending on the damage done."
"Copy that. We'll tell our boys to stay sharp when they jump."
The armada of transports and fighters continued on, with nothing in their way at this point. All was going according to plan so far.
Or so they thought. Once the Soviets' actions fully came to light, plans would possibly have to change...

OOC: Yes, I know it’s a shitload, however, with non-stop resupply runs all over the country, chiefly by air, it is highly unlikely that anyone would notice; especially since all crates are going to a restricted area. Ratio of legitimate supplies to rebel supplies is at least 15:1.

Bernard Thibodeau kept the list on his desk. It was, strangely enough, written on a napkin, with a PostIt note acting as a memo. This napkin, however, was a legally binding contract worth a few hundred million. He’d be more than happy to fulfill the order, along with munitions requests from Eurasia. The fact that there was apparently a massive wholesale slaughter of civiies made no difference, cash was cash, and with many, many tons of medical supplies, heavy earth movers (GTI did, after all, win rights to rebuild some of the areas, and that was a job they were all to happy to take) a few tons of broad-spectrum antibiotics, pallets of clean water, MREs, Flares, Fire Extinguishers, Eurasian munitions, and basic utilitarian work uniforms would go RPGs, ATGMs, rifles, MANPADs, and a plethora of small arms of all varities. The blockade made things complicated, but that wasn’t something a few Stratolifters couldn’t take care of. Helicopters would drop the munitions, as well as genuine relief aid for Skyian forces, in the City of Hillington. He didn’t care where the weapons were actually going to go; they’d all be produced without identifying marks. The Russian Revolution needed 3,000,000 citizens under arms, and that wouldn’t happen, even with this massive shipment, still yet miniscule in comparison to the raw explosive power of munitions being shipped to Eurasia to fight their cause.
As the rebels requested, the following would be distributed over the coming days and weeks to Hillington, at a cost of $15,823,350,000.00. The profit margin? $ 10,820,250,000.00.

137,000,000 Ammunition
300,000 KP-SAM

Mixed with actual supply runs for WBI forces, as well as emergency munitions and frontline supplies to the Eurasian forces, the hundreds of shipping crates among thousands would not be missed. Hillington, and the surrounding areas, however, would offer much heavier resistance than Worchester could have hoped.j

OOC: Just for the record, before anyone attempts to "arrest" or do something to my men, I need the following questions answered by BL:
Exactly how many people were in Worchester, and how many got killed. Because there's a huge difference between 3 million outta' 4 and a few thousands out of 1 million.
Specially seeing as the later would render any attempt to "arrest" my guys injustificable.

Lieutenant-Colonel Jones peered out the open window of the car as the convoy approached the first position of what was believed to be a Soviet field artillery battery, one of those responsible for the recent barrage on Worchester. He called the vehicles to halt and the troopers dismounted from the Rhinos and marched forward as Sergeant-Major Rottman retrieved a handheld loudspeaker as he walked up beside the officer, he turned to his comrade, "Do you think they'll give us any trouble?"
"Let's hope not, I'd hate to treat allied soldiers as POWs," Said Jones as he released the safety of his MP45 and set it on his leg holster and walked forward towarsd the position.
The sergeant switched on the loudspeaker and spoke into it as Echo company slowly approached the artillery position, "Attention, Soviet soldiers, this is Echo Company, second Battalion, second Aequatian Special Combat Applications Regiment. You are hereby ordered to stand down and are to be placed under arrest by order of allied command."

With a wry smile, Rottman ordered forward the paras of first platoon as they approached the Soviet gunners under the cover of the other two platoons, who kept their weapons trained on the artillerymen too far to be immediately arrested. The first platoon soldiers swung their weapons over their backs and walked over to a group of gunners with their hands raised, "Come on, now, Red," Said one of soldiers as he produced a pair of flexcuffs.
Lieutenant-Colonel Jones motioned his head to the sergeant as his communication's operator walked over and forced the Soviet to the ground and forcefully applied the flexcuffs to his wrists as the officer approached the newly-arrived Eurasian Field Marshal, "We are placing these gunners under arrest for the war crimes they have committed."

The gunners had no choice left but to comply, and resigned to the Paras, putting their hands behind their heads and kneeling on the ground.
The sergeant however, tried to kick his way off his assailants, while yelling about the stupidity of the Aequatians, rights, military operations, some comments about the army.
Just then, a group of Soviet soldiers armed with assault rifles and light machine guns appeared down the road, they were closely followed by an M1 Tank. What they saw froze them in their spots, several seconds passed before they could react and level their weapons at the Paras. Their leader, a young liutenant, stepped forward.

"SMAW, sir?" Asked one of the anti-tank gunners to Rottman as he loaded his launcher with the tandem-HEAT round.
"No!" The Sergeant-Major shouted back as he walked over to Jones, "Nick, what do you want to do?"

The Lt. looked up at his men, they had retreated to the tank and taken cover behind it, ready to open fire if the Aequatians made any sudden moves, the tank itself had readied its secondary weapons, which were trained at the Paras.
"Field Marshall, I suggest you leave before someone ends up wounded"
Sergeant Peter Hawkins had gathered his squad together in the forest when his earpiece chirped.
"Charlie Three-Two, what is your status?"
"Charlie Three-Two here, command. We're all accounted for."
"Good. Charlie Three-Two, GPS reports you're nearby an Aequatian patrol which has encountered resistance from a Soviet gunner unit refusing arrest. Coordinates are being transmitted to your GPS now. Proceed with caution."
Hawkins turned to his men, a somber look on his face.
"You heard them. With me, guys. We have a couple minute walk ahead of us. And stay sharp, you dunno what might pop out at you."
The squad of twelve began the short trek towards the standoff, brandishing their weapons as they walked along the roads outside Worchester. Smoke could be seen over the treetops, rising from the ruins of the city off in the distance. The area was surprisingly calm, the only thing breaking the silence being the occasional flyover of an air patrol. One would not expect to be walking through a warzone when the chirping of birds was the only sound you could hear.
The peace did not last, however, as the squad approached their destination. A Soviet M1 tank was visible on the road with numerous Soviet soldiers standing behind it, and the Aequatian paratroopers and convoy appeared to be in a tense standoff with the Soviets. Hawkins went down low, and motioned for his squad to do the same. He clicked the safety off of his M2 carbine, raising it to his shoulder as he slowly approached the scene. Upon seeing that there was still a tense peace, he straightened up, keeping his weapon at waist height as he walked up to stand next to his Aequatian counterpart.
"Sergeant Peter Hawkins, 104th Imperial Airborne Division, Company C, Third Platoon, Second Squad!", he shouted while approaching Lieutenant-Colonel Jones, identifying himself for the Aequatian officer. "What seems to be the situation, sir?"
Hawkins silently waved to his second in command, who immediately began calling into command for additional support. It would probably be needed if things turned ugly, especially with a Phalanx sitting not more than forty yards to Hawkins's right.

[3rd Corp, 15th Division, 18th Armored Company, Moving on Worchster]
Brigader General Vincent Fox watched from his specially outfitted M160A2 as his personal company moved over the local road towards the city. Moving in staggered formation the company had split from it's mother Battallion as the local roads didn't allow for 50 tanks and IFVs to use one road.
There had been reports from the flyboys that there were friendly forces in the area, well, as friendly as the Aequatians could be, after the Iragia fiasco. And the Soviets were never friendly, or never considered friendly. They were on his route to the city, he would have to move past them.
Now, they could hear him far before he could see them, it was hard to miss a column of twenty heavily armored vehicles coming down a quiant country lane.
Round the corner he came, ordering his column to halt when coming into sight behind the Soviet patrol, he quickly he slid back into the tank, grabbing the radio, his short wave secure company radio, and pressed down on the button.
"Seems like we have a situation, Omega Platoon, there was a small road a while back that cut around this area, it's hidden on the otherside of the trees, circle around and take positions that let you target two groups, we haven't had any contact with the Aequatian, Cravanians, or Illiorians, let alone the Soviets, for all we know this could be a rouge group of soldiers. Fire only on my command."
Omega Platoon responded at two IFVs and two tanks reversed, following orders, they were out of sight, so no one could see them, hearing was another story.
Brig. Gen. Fox then popped back up through hs hatch to address the group of soldiers. "Hello there, Skyian Brig. Gen. Vincent Fox speaking, what seems to be the situation here?" He ask upon looking over the raised weapons and the Soviet Lt. on his knees and bound, as well as the other bound Soviets, "We're just passing through on the way to the 'city', all of you are on the road," He motioned to the narrow road that both the Aequatians, and Soviets were occuping, you could scarcely fit two tanks on the road. "That we're taking, you're probably gonna have to move." He finished in a nice tone, he really didn't want to take out that many infantry, the tank was a non-factor, facing the wrong way, and not nearly as armored as his M160A2.

The 104th Imperial Airborne Division dropped into the area this morning, following an Aequatian drop earlier today. Thusfar Imperial troops in the area have encountered little resistance, however they have not yet entered the city according to our sources embedded with the troops. At this point in time we have little more information for you.

We do, however, have reports coming from Worchester that the city has been devastated by Soviet artillery. The purpose of the mass bombardment is believed to have been used to root out rebel cells, however it also resulted in steep civilian casualties. Allied command has issued orders for the detainment of the crews of the Soviet guns, however we do not have any information as to if any Soviet forces have been taken into custody. We will be sure to keep you updated with the latest reports from Eurasia.

Fox, "Besides, that group of arrest soldiers and the Illiorians LZ, not to mention both of your guys troops are in our way, and the road is too narrow to back up and turn around." He was telling the truth, he would have to back track 12km to the next break in the road.

Rottman paused at the gun shots and dropped the lieutenant's body onto the ground roughly as he turned to the colonel. Jones, understandably and overtly angry at the current situation, drew his MP45 from his holster and charged the firing bolt on the weapon. He announced with a loud voice to the Soviets, "Now look here, your comrades have committed war crimes and are under arrest for what they have done. If any nation should understand this, it's yours, I'll be more than happy to take this up with headquarters, once things are dealt with."
Echo company's executive officer, a first lieutenant, walked over to the Skyians and apologized for their share of blocking the road and ordered the Rhino IMVs and Kitsune armoured cars off to the side of the road to let the armour pass by.
The colonel continued speaking to the Soviets, "Now, while my orders are to arrest all Soviet personnel, I feel that it's not necessary to detain any of you as you were not firing on the city like your gunners here. However, we will be leaving with them in custody along with all of the others responsible, if you try to stop us with any force, we will respond in kind... and I can assure you, you won't be going home after that," He said as he pointed to the lieutenant and Rottman picked him back up by the collar and dragged him towards the landing helicopters as first platoon directed the detained gunners to the Illiorian IH-75s.

The captain remained silent for a while, thinking.
"I'll have to check that with HQ"
He got back in the IFV, and double checked the information with high command, then he came back outside.
"Alright, you may take the gunners, but the gunners only, should you try to arrest anyone else then we'll have to take measures to prevent it"

Rottman and one of the troopers secured the unconscious lieutenant into an IH-75 while first platoon rounded up the other gunners into the helicopters. Jones looked back at the Soviet, "That's fine, inform them that we will be detaining all those who are responsible and who obstruct our orders. Now I suggest you leave, the Skyian armour needs to pass through here and I need to continue with my proper orders, not rounding up criminals."
Within a few minutes, the Illiorian helicopters lifted off from the ground and set a course back to the carrier waiting off shore where the detainees would be directed back to Terrence airbase. Echo company's commander ordered his soldiers to return to the Rhinos as Jones and Rottman walked over to their Kitsune armoured car as he waved his hand to the Skyian and Cravanians.

The soviet officer looked up at the Skyian and signaled his transports and the tank to move aside, he watched as the column resumed its movement, and then left the are with his soldiers, leaving a few to take care of the Howitzer and the M4A3 left by the gunners.
((Fuckers. I had an entire post typed. :p ))
Hawkins clicked his headset, opening a direct line to the local company headquarters, set up in an old farmhouse somewhere down the road back in the woods.
"Sir, this situation seems to have been cleared up. Requesting further orders."
His earpiece chirped as the response came through, crackling somewhat.
"Mkay, boys.", he heard Colonel Richard Samson's voice say. "I have a group of HMMWVs down here with enough seats for your boys. You guys care to come pick them up? The command post has been highlighted on your GPS."
Within a few minutes, they had arrived at Command Post Charlie, set up for C Company of the 104th Airborne. The place was like a fortress, with two machine gun nests set up in two upper story windows, and an additional one up in an old stone silo located near the house. The barn nearby had two Humvees parked inside, as well as a group of paratroopers in the upper story on watch, a marksman posted in the front opening.
"What have we here?", a combat engineer asked with a smile, turning away from his work of laying sandbags for a forward checkpoint. His partner was busy laying out fencing by the spool. "Sergeant Hawkins and his merry band of troopers."
"Hello, Ruggy.", Hawkins said with a smirk. "Where's the Colonel at?"
"Someplace up in the second story. I think the master bedroom. Hey, you gotta check that place out. For an old house it's not in bad shape. I might even buy it after this war's over."
Hawkins chuckled to himself as he directed his squad to rest outside while he ascended the steps to the wrap around porch, walking in through the open front door. The paratroopers had settled in quite nicely.
Ascending the rickety old stairway, Hawkins arrived in the makeshift office of Colonel Samson. He saluted crisply, and approached the officer.
"So I heard you have some Humvees for my men, sir?"
"Yep. Your platoon is just down the road, waiting for you. You're to link up, and move in a convoy to join up with some Aequatian SCAR troops and get on the patrol route. Once an airfield is set up down here for the Illiorian heavy lifters and the Marines start getting flown in, you'll begin patrols into the city. Until then, though, stick with the Aequatians."
"Yes, sir. Where's our Hummers?"
"Should be around back. Take three, four men per vehicle, one gunner for each."
"Yes, sir. We'll get right on that."
"Good." Samson said without looking up. "Stay safe, sergeant."
With another crisp salute and a quick turn on his heel, Hawkins was bounding back down the stairway, dodging the Colonel's staff along the way. He met up with his squad outside, and threw a set of keys to each of the drivers who he had assigned beforehand while motioning to the other side of the building. Within a few minutes, the three HMMWVs were on the road.

Chairman Nikifor Yaromir crouched in the dank room, cringing each time he heard the drip of water through the cracks in the ceiling.
"Comrade Field Marshal Ivan Smirnov," he barked. "You were in control of pillaging Eurasian military bases in our territory. What did you find?"
"Comrade Chairman, you will be most pleased with our discovery," declared Ivan proudly. "We have found something very important. At RAF High Wycombe, at the far west of our territory near the Ganapatian Sea, we found a set of cruise missiles, along with five B2 bombers that the Eurasians weren't able to destroy or evacuate in time. They also had, in their underground storage facilities, ten nuclear warheads."
They both grinned. "Excellent," laughed Yaromir. "This ought to frighten them."
"And even better news," continued Ivan as he reached into the jacket of his uniform. "Your bid for early retirement was approved!"
"What the fuck?" shouted Yaromir as a bullet from a Walther PP99 flew through his cranium.

Landing Zone: CHERRY, 45 kilometres North of Worchester
Lieutenant-Colonel Jones stepped down from the Kitsune vehicle and walked over to the makeshift command post where his executive officer greeted him with a salute as he entered the tent, "Welcome back, colonel."
"What have we received from command?" He asked as he placed his MP45 on the map table.
"The Cravanian 104th Division has arrived and we're to start pushing into the city, we'll be covering most of the pushing inside with the Cravs running patrols around the perimeter, making sure no one escapes from our operations within," Explained the major.
At that point, the intelligence officer spoke, "Sir, we should be ready to start treating the wounded civilians and rebel fighters, we should be more prepared to make friends and deal with the people than combat them."
Jones nodded, "Agreed," He said, "I want Echo back out on the Rhinos ahead with Golf company moving on the M38 trucks, I'll be moving out with them into Worchester. Have the medical platoon ready its vehicles, I want a section of ambulances out there with us to bring the civies some medical supplies, we can get what we need from local hospitals or pharmacies. All right?"
"Yes Sir," Replied the major as he passed on the orders on notes for the clerk to run it out to the commanding officer of Golf company to prepare his soldiers to move out on the battalion's trucks. Jones head out the entrance of the tent with Rottman in tow as they walked back to their M1270 as it was being refueled by one of the M39 tanker trucks. After thirty minutes of a quick resupply and change out of equipment, the two rifle companies headed out of Landing Zone: CHERRY and towards the road leading into the outskrirts North of Worchester.

"Delta Flight, this is Citadel One-two, there's already a Tango waiting for them, and the MP compliment will be ready to go, over and out."
Several minutes later, Delta Flight touched down, and the Soviet Prisoners were lead to an IAL-6 Cargo aircraft and were seated. A compliment of Illiorian Military police were present with non-lethal weapons easily visible. What wasn't so visible was that further in the aircraft, in a compartment the Soviet Prisoners couldn't see, was an arms locker full of UDWs with subsonic cartridges loaded in case things got really hairy.
The Flight took off for Terrance AFB without a hitch, and hopefully there would be none in flight, for if there was, the problematic soldiers wouldn't be handed over to the Cravanian and GASN authorities there. They would be brought back to the Illiorian Carrier and be Courtmarshalled for Assaulting an officer, which carries a punishment of upto 40 years in a military Prison. This was made explicitly clear by the Head MP, a Master Sergeant who hated bullshit with all his heart.

We will be landing 5 helicopters, so you will need 10 trucks. We need you to be there in person to authorize a funds transfer to pay for the supplies. We must reiterate that continued supply of your cause is dependant on fast, efficient, and peaceful payment, as well as a total lack of hostilities against WBI assets. "Marcus, why the hell do we do this job?" asked one of them.
"Er..." mused Marcus. "Well, Dan, because the new Chairman demands that we do it...and if we don't, we're sent to the concentration camp in Uxbridge."
"But the rebellion's going to lose," argued Dan. "We ought to just take these anti-air guns and open fire on the supply aircraft."
"That's retarded," shot Marcus, eating some more candy. "We'll be executed!"
"Dude, dude," laughed Dan. "We won't be. Think about it - we're the only ranking officers here - all the soldiers obey us."
"No," spat Marcus coldly. Dan rose from his seat, back towards Marcus, and gazed out the windows. He slowly reached into his jacket, pulling out a snub-nosed revolver. Whirling around speedily, he promptly shot Marcus in the head. Marcus slumped down, fell out of his chair, and laid in a pool of oozing blood.
"I'm sorry," Dan whispered. He grabbed the 1MC and started talking into the loudspeaker input.
"Attention all soldiers," they trumpeted. "I, Comrade Colonel Daniel Sloane, have learnt that the planes we are waiting for are actually Coalition bombers! All anti-air batteries, open fire!"
Dozens of missiles streaked into the air.

The Skycranes, already flying low to the ground to avoid radar sweeps, descended 600 feet in a second almost instantly after they detected they were being targeted, nearly slamming into the ground, firing off counter measures. It didn't really matter; they were well below the floor of almost every non-MANPAD known to man.
"What kind of idiots are these?" the head of the flight asked him self. "All units, we have been fired upon. Orders say the deal is off. Jettison all cargo, keep low, and we'll get back in one piece."
Within a few seconds, the supply helos, no longer carrying tons of ammunition and weapons; in this case rounds of 5.56mm ammunition and RPG-29 rockets; beat a quick retreat away from rebel territory, and filed the report.
The boxes themselves were of interested, and appeared to be secured by a mere swipe-card system. The card itself, which the flight leader was in possession of, would only be activated once payment had been complete. Without the card, the boxes were armed, and the massive jolt of crashing into the pavement assured they would go off. With such a large shipment, GTI did not want to take a chance, and all boxes were laced with pounds of C-4. Tampering with the locking mechanism assured it would go off, as would drilling into the sides. In 45 minutes, they would explode, cooking off a few thousand rounds of ammunition and rockets.

[15th Division, 198th Armored Company, Worchester, Eurasia]
After the situation the Soviets Brig. Gen. Fox and his company floored it to Worchester, moving south from where Aequatians were located. They were to join up their their 'sister' Mechanized Company, the 198th Mech Company to move south from their brigades new base in the eastern part of the city, which happened to be positioned in what looked like a major square and roadway, while the other half of the division was based on a large school campus in a western suburb.
There was now one Skyian Division inside Worchester, 18,980 men, about 11,500 of which were assigned to the four armored and mechanized brigades. The 30th Armored and Mech Brigades were assigned the eastern part of the city, to secure the WBI Inc. Docks and the WBI Inc. headquarterson that side of the city.
Brig. Gen. Fox watched from his viewer from inside the tank as his ten M160A2 MBTs, ten M260A1 IFVs, ten M260A2 CFVs, and seven LV-09 CMPL (Simple) Light Armored Trucks, whose armament varied from 15.5mm HMGs, to MANPADs, to ATGMs, and lastly, a 35x175mm L100 Gas Revolver Sniper Cannon.
They moved through the rubble and shell cratered streets, on the lookout of civilians and rebels alike, getting live feeds from stealth UAVs launched from the airbase to the west. IRSTs made it easier to find people under the rubble, but fires from the shells made it harder to use then usual.
Brig. Gen. Fox rounded a corner to come face to face with this (http://www.thewe.cc/thewei/&/&/images5/2006_war_photos_july_1/destroyed_buildings.jpe).
"God damn it, we're 2km from the base and we have to find another route," Complained Fox, he grabbed his radio, "Hey, one of you comm guys in the CPMLs, get me an alternate route to the base, this one's blocked."
[We Buy It Inc. Headquarters, Worchester]
Tweleve security troops clammered out of the rubble that nearly blocked the main exit to the bunker system, they were to go around the back and removea pile of debris that was blocking the rear garage doors from opening.
"I assume it's safe, we've been getting alot of radio clammer from Skyian Troops in the city, but nothing about fighting." Said Sergeant Gerald Simpsion as he tried to assauge his troops' fears. They moved towards the Garage area, a good 500m walk, not knowing how close they actually are to being liberated.

The Paras had done well in collecting a number of survivors from the rubble, Lieutenant-Colonel Jones looked over the small digital screen on his command terminal as it displayed a map provided by the most recent Space Command low-orbit reconnaissance satellite flyover of the city blocks his forces were looking over. The infrared image showed several widespread fires which had broken out over the city, mostly left unattended by the civilian authorities for fear of leaving their fire stations.
The medics worked the best they could with the materials available to them as they treated the nearly three dozen survivors which had been pulled from the surrounding area by the troopers. The past few hours had been almost uneventful, with ten of the soldiers wounded from separate small arms incidents and four others from a hand grenade, they were all treatable as for the most part, the rebels were either quickly dispatched or surrendered to the Paras once they had simply run out of ammunition. One rebel led a platoon staff sergeant on a sprint through a crater-marked children's park before being tackled and flexcuffed.
Echo company provided security for the area as Golf searched the area for survivors and rebel gunmen, while some of the troopers from Echo rested, they spoke with the civilian "walking wounded" and chatted about the conflict, local weather, shared cigarettes or food and drink as they all sat in the square surrounded by their armoured vehicles.

[Skies Above Waltham Forest, SB-22 Bomber Squadron]
Like the Eurasians, the Skyians, being the closest to Waltham Forest and having nearly constant patrols over the area, had identified the probable location of the launch.
A SB-22 Sariel Stealth Bomber Squadron had been launched from Bravo-Alpha to the supposed location of the launcher, satellites and F/A-84As with recon pods were constantly scanning to get a positive ID on the launch, anything that could launch a missile with a 10 Megaton warhead would have to be big, probably SCUD sized or bigger.
F/A-84As constantly patroled the over the city, nothing would get in, or out of the area. Any convoy moving would be raped by GBU-39 SDB or artillery with Sensor Fuzed Weapons.
Lieutenant General Omar MacArthur was hurriedly gathering information from AWACs and Ground ELINT Stations, paticurally about why this missile wasn't detected or shot down. He would present this information to President Maddox, who was likely to give him approval to use tactical nuclear weapons.

Bernard Thibodeau was rather pissed off. Not only had a multibillion dollar arms deal fallen completely through the floor (pending, of course, a counter offer), but a nuclear missile had gone off, endangering the lives of his contractors. He had to inform the Arch Arsonist of the relief efforts that were in operation in the area.

“He did what?!?” exclaimed General Adam Wincenty, Arch Arsonist of Mer des Ennuis, holding the hastily written note updating him on the situation in Eurasia, including attempted arms shipments. GTI had gotten themselves into one hell of a mess, and the military, more or less Gen. Wincenty’s personal plaything, would have to clean it up. Eurasia wasn’t a large nation, and it’s location made it convenient for Mer des Ennuis to run bombing runs, establish a naval presence, and ultimately land a force to secure a city. The Silver Sky was, after all, quite possibly the largest supplier of naval equipment, and they had a strong lobbying base in Mer des Ennuis. He drafted a telegram to the President of Eurasia.

Re: Situation in Eurasia
I have been informed that, due to the recent nuclear exchange on Eurasian soil, Global Tetrahedron Inc. is unable to assure the security of its operations in Eurasia. Furthermore, the idea of rebel terrorists gaining control of megaton-range, quite frankly scares the shit out of us. As any god-fearing capitalist will tell you, the only good communist is either totally dependant on you or dead, and these rebels are neither. As such, to aid our friends in The Silver Sky, our nation’s business interests, and, ultimately, your interests, we would like to begin limited military operations against these rebel forces. We can start with high-altitude surveillance and bombings. Due to the UCAV nature of our airforce, we would be required to link with your forces to designate targets. We strongly urge you to allow operations to commence.

The tremors from the detonation could be felt at the Para battalion's position within Worchester, the radios within the vehicles and those carried by the communications operators were well hardened, so any overlasting electromagnetic interference would not harm their most precious of lifelines. Jones listened as the channels willed with the sound of panicked voices and chatter, he listened as two Aequatian F-28A pilots exchanged a dialogue, "Roger that, Sixth Air Command, we can confirm the cloud and EM readings."
"Fucking hell, we're twenty five thousand metres up and we can see it better than anyone else," Said another, "My avionics and HUD are all screwy, request RTD, Command."
"You're clear, all aircraft are to return to Terrence airbase immediately."
What about the boots on the ground? Thought Jones as he stepped out of the vehicle and walked over to Rottman, "We've got a situation, there's been a large scale detonation, likely to be nuclear, but no one has any intel on it."
"Shit, what are they doing about the regiment?" Asked the sergeant-major.
"Nothing yet, but they'll probably ship us NBC suits at the least," Said the colonel, "Even though it might be best for us, extraction wouldn't help the situation now."
"True, let's keep our ears to the ground then, Nick."
Jones nodded as he turned back to the car and listened to the radio chatter.
