OCC: I’m new to all this, and I was interested/bored but I didn't really know how to welcome myself. I looked around and apart from war the pledging of alliance seemed to be a done thing in here so basically this is an introduction and a request for allies.

The Oppressed Peoples Of Honako would like to welcome itself to the international community of Nationstates. The newly founded country of a short yet troubled history has now reached a population of 100 million and I now wish to be more involved in these boards. If you would like to know a little more about Honako refer to here:

Honako, a member of the Gatesville region yet UN member, is currently looking for allies to our humble nation. In our third largest city and former capital and current political headquarters, Jabero, Honako has created Embassy Row, which has room currently for six allies of our nation though can expand if necessary. If you sign up we expect you to be our friend and ally, though Honako will try and stay out of conflict unless necessary (or if I am bored ;) ).

There are a few rules Honako would also like to enforce before accepting someone into our country and handing them an Embassy.
1. Honakos people enjoy few civil rights, we are not a liberal country, but we have a firm anti-slavery and anti-racism stance in our country and would expect our allies at least not to be pro these things.
2. Although not a necessary stance to take to have an ambassador to our country, Honako looks down on people who do not try and care for their environment.
3. We don’t want to become allies with a nation who is always picking unnessary fights with other nations.

As I’m new to this and Honako is a nation that despite suppressing it’s people slightly always looks after it’s international neighbours, I will allow any nations interested to pick there own embassy on the row and make there own requests as to what they want in it. All workers in Foreign Embassies will be given diplomatic immunity to all non-serious crimes though will not with crimes such as murder, major theft and terrorism (a crime like this will cause all personal of that embassy to be ejected from the country).

Also may I add we would love stronger and more experienced nations to pledge alliance with Honako, to guide it and also incase of conflict as currently it is a small country, with a large for it's size military, but under trained and under motivated due to conplusive military service.

It has come to our attention that certain private interests within your country have inquired as to commodity pricing and export. The request was made in one of our more agrarian fiefs so we can only assume that your people hope to take advantage of the plentiful bounty that is the Otariet crop harvest.

That said our country is currently going through a period of restructure and as such record keeping has become somewhat contentious. We are petitioning your government for a small embassy so that further transaction and inquiries are less problematic. We will send a diplomatic entourage as soon as space is made available to us.

(OOC: Noticed that some smuggling has taken place. My government is completely unawares as to the problems going on in your nation – it is asking for this embassy in earnest and mildly embarrassed that these internal problems are starting to affect international relations.)

The government knows of the smuggling of tobacco from your country, but is willing to accept that your government did not play a part in it.

The prince was buried amongst casualty reports and other such somber paperwork. In fact it was only because he needed something lighter after reading the expected projections of the health concerns regarding the radioactive fallout in his own country that the brief missive from Honako was even picked up.

He read it once more muttering under his breath “Lord curse it…” Looking up towards his ever present attendants – who by now were use to his taking of the lord’s name in vain and other such profanities – he called ones attention.

“What’s the status of the diplomatic corps?”
“Well you highness they are all prepared to field questions regarding our internal troubles and streamline possible interventions to your attention…”
“What about out going? Do we have anyone left? Someone we can be sure of their loyalty?”

“Hmm,… take this folder and give it to Lord Carn’sk.” The prince was adding a note to the folder as he scribbled away. “Tell him that his immigration visa has been refused and that his family is not allowed to leave the land.” The prince held out the folder to the confused looking attendant.
“Uhh, sir that area is going to be contaminated in two days when the wind changes…”
“I know.” The prince looked back towards his work – picking up another red folder. He hated the red ones lately.

The attendant for his part looked aghast but knew better than to say anything. The prince looked up again – the extra moment that was taken being so out of the ordinary. Rolling his eyes the prince explained.
“There is an offer of an ambassadorship to Honako in that folder, as well as the forms for the requisitioning of resources to move his family and a small contingent into the embassy. He can take care of selecting schools and the sort in Honako.” The prince looked down towards his work again, adding without looking up: “Tell him that he is allowed to have an offsite staff in Penson and I will overlook certain liberties on the food and accommodations budget.”

The attendant nodded and ran off. A few hours after that conversation an official response to Honako was sent.

Greetings comrades;

I have been selected as the ambassador to your fine country by his majesty the crowned prince. Once you have accepted me as the Otariet representative I will be moving my staff of eighteen diplomatic corps and twenty five security officers into 006 Embassy Row. We will of course have our own vehicular accompaniment but I assure you that these will not be in excess.

On a personal note I am a family man and as such will be bringing some of my close family with me. There will be twelve people accompanying me whose housing will be paid for by my government but who will not serve any function to the embassy – other than that of familial obligations to me. These people will not seek employment in your economy but may draw upon the local service sector – if an additional fee needs to be applied to Otares for their needs, such as access to government services, then please by all means submit it to my embassy staff.

In regards to the question of illegal trade between our countries I will of course respond – once we are situated in the embassy and prepared to negotiate. I assure you however that Otares negotiates in good faith and sees no reason to subvert your authority on the matter.

I'm new too. The Great Republic of Adamta wish to establish an embassy in your great nation. Mr. Sam Garner will be Adamta's ambassador. His 15 guards will only be armed with 9mm's but, other weapons will be asked to be stored in the embassy. Nothing above .50 cal. some colt .45's, and M-16's. He will also have a staff of 35. The motorcade includes 2 black AGM (Adamtan General Motors) armored limos, and 3 black AGM titian armored suvs. Also, if any problems occur in your nation that threatens our ambassador we will not wait, we will forcibly (if need be) take him to safety. I know this is great for our two nations. The President of Adamta himself is looking forward to the benefits of this embassy.

Honako has long been famed from having a - well, oppressive government - but from today we are looking at possibly becoming more liberal (at least civil rights wise). Therefore, a small borderland of mostly farmland has been colonized and had some of our willing people move there to test out our new free democracy. If this works and improves the lives of people over there, we will incorporate it in too Honako's society.

Currently it is ruled by Honako but run by a separate commission, that our ruler (High Commissioner) Bourla Parkins still runs though - but she is not involved in debate about this countries decisions and way of life. We look forward to having this thriving new nation expand and eventually become more associated with Honako. Currently its more of a new home and a testing ground for politics.

We are also interested in opening up relations with your country, possibly in the form of a general alliance (trade and military). We are currently involved in a possible conflict though you will not be required to assist in that if you do not wish if this alliances goes ahead.

Due to demand for embassies, we have constructed more in the newly formed Hope Street - our hope for an inner city diplomatic haven. In Jabero our embassies have been located in the older, more historic part of the town which is also closer to the Head of Government. Now we will expand into inner city areas bringing modern, fresher buildings and furnishes plus a closer proximity to the host of amenities Jabero City Centre has to offer.

Currently they are all under construction, and the first taker of one of the buildings is the nation of St. Holden. If St. Samuel wishes to be closer to the embassy of St. Holden, we can move them to a location on Hope Street.
