"the Armed Republic of Indepenants,
Here by wishes to inform the soon to be subjects that they may now
begin the surrender prossess by hanging our flag out side of the front
doors if each house hold. Any house who does this will be given higher
status than those who force our hand.
To any other would be invaders, we aren't looking for the whole thing,
infact we're pretty open as to where and how much we take. If you
want take most of it, and leave a smallish peice for us to rampage acrossed.
That'd be fine by us!"

I'm working on the belief that this is a open thread.
But if' I'm wrong, than the guy running it can tell me to sodd off, and
I won't be offended.

Pudite Prefecture One, Administration Compound 0001, The Doom of a Nation, the Scratch of a Pen
The small room was crowded already by its five inhabitants, a fact that was not helped by the overly large size of more than one of them. Standing at the center of the flat white concrete walls was a small, sturdy, wooden table clothed with maps of all design. All, however, depicted the same location... The People's Freedom, alternatively, Foreign District 11.

Standing at the head of the room was a familiar face, one of the Emperor's right-hand men, Mr. White. He wore a perfectly fitting suit bearing the color of his name, and his long silver hair only adds to the image.

Surrounding the table before him were four more men, all wearing the respective military uniform of their service, the Army, Imperial Air Force, Imperial Navy, and Imperial Guard. Each man was generally tall, trim, and bore an angular, emotionless face. The largest man was that who wore the uniform of the Imperial Guard, known more likely to a foreigner as the Grazskar. The Emperor's warrior-fanatics.

For the Imperial Navy, there stood a Fleet Admiral by the name of Panas Korenets, experienced in modern warfare, although never having been placed in command of an operation to this scale before.

Beside him stood the Army's representative, a Field Marshal known as Bezson Ivanov. Further to the left the great two and a half meter high form of Imperial Guard Field Marshal Nechai Sekirin loomed, the commanding silhouette known to have fought half a dozen of such wars. His experience would be useful here.

Finally, there was Air Marshall Obotur Vakhromeev, to be placed in command of all airborne assets, and, unknown to him, will launch the first blow of any in this campaign.

Mr. White spoke, "Alright, I have assembled you officers here today to perform a single task. You have at your disposal all the assets of your command and the support of your branch. Your objective; The People's Freedom." White snapped his hand down on the table, drawing attention to the various renderings of that nation, he continued, "We were once only miles away from an invasion before, but outside influences and business forced us off. Now we're back, to stay."

"Now, the People's Freedom is not, right now, a popular nation on the international stage, and our campaign is based on that fact. We may not be alone in this venture, and so our strikes must be swift and precise."

The assembled officers nodded, understanding the drastic shift this war would require from the usually methodical, destructive advance the Dominion was used to.

White continued, "That is why, Marshall Vakhromeev, you will be the first of us to fight..." Vakhromeev nodded, and White continued, "We're not sure where yet, but the first strike will be comprised of fully five airborne divisions, to be reinforced should need be by a second wave of equal proportions."

"These first five or ten divisions will not be alone, however, and in the same period following the landing, our comrade here, Field Marshal Nechai Sekirin, will attempt an insertion accompanied by eight of his Ocean Patrol fleets."

Marshal Nechai nodded in turn, and White moved on, "These two forces will converge, hopefully, and support each other for the next five days. Only then will we have the final component of our occupation, the first and second Marine Strelkovy Armies, as well as an entire Imperial Guards Army,"

The entirety of the assembled officers nodded their final understanding, snapped off a quick, palm-to-the-temple salute, and Mr. White, technically a civilian, marched out of the room, leaving the soldiers to work out their details.

Like clockwork, six hours later the first orders were relayed. The war had begun, although it would be a number of hours before the People's Freedom would have any idea. Aircraft, followed by refueler planes, roared off airstrips all over the Dominion, bound along a multi-thousand mile trajectory, taking them overhead a number of refueler fleets and oilers.

In a few hours, their presence would be known, and the battle would begin...

Global Tetrahedron Inc. is the definition of a multinational conglomerate, with holdings in major companies all over. The corporation is closely tied together with the government of the Armed Republic of Mer des Ennuis. Three years ago, the newly instated Arch Arsonist Adam Wincenty, realizing the necessity of an effective, home-grown biological agent, commissioned the creation of a nearly-incurable biological agent, code-named Aurora. For two and a half years, scientists struggled to meet the specifications. Ultimatly a caterpillar virus was chosen, and spliced at the Mer des Ennuis Center of Unconventional Warfare (MECUW). 6 months ago, a shipment of seven samples was lost to what was believed to be a communist front group attacked the shipment, and all vials were lost. Recent intelligence pointed out that the virus might have been shipped to “The People’sFreedom.” Wanting to cover it up, Global Tetrahedron Inc. and the government of Mer des Ennuis sent five members of the army’s elite Death’s Head, 1st battalion. The intelligence, taken from the bloody mess of a lieutenant of the organization, fingered international terrorist Sean Oritz as planning an attack on the subway system of TPF city. The team, headed by Col Xurxo Xosé was dispatched.

This morning, the team was staking out what was believed to be the targeted subway station from a non-descript van bogged down with electronics. Major Dragos Mikhailo was monitoring the numerous wireless cameras set up in the station, while the EW platform’s AI rapidly matched faces.
“Think he’ll strike here?” asked 1st. Lieutenant Viktoriya Anastasiya.
“Affirmative. Ortiz will strike. The most trains go through this station; they’ll act like a damned plunger if Aurora goes off here, and half the city could be infected.” Replied Captain Zora Miroslava
“Stay sharp. Get ready to move as soon as he appears.” Xurxo Xosé
The computer gave off a shrill beeping sound.
“We have him on the screen, heading to platform 12.” Shouted Maj. Mikhailo.
“Lets move!” shouted Col. Xosé, flinging the door. The teams broke out into a full sprint. They were clad in the black full-NBC protect-capable body armor with a mesh overlay matching the local police force. To further the effect, they had plastic wrist cuffs. The team ran in a tight formation down the platforms, following directions fed through their helmets from the van.
“Police! Down on the fucking ground!” Shouted 1st Lieutenant Zuzana Markéta, seeing Ortiz. Ortiz and another man looked over in surprise and ran. Xosé brought his DR-83.IIB to bear and let off a stream of shots, narrowly missing the terrorist. People screamed in terror, some dropped, some ran.
“Move!” Ordered Xosé as the team gave chase. The two targets ran down the platform stairs. Ortiz jumped down the platform clutching a silver cylinder. Lt. Anastasiya took a shot with her rifle, splattering Ortiz’s partner, who was struggling to level his handgun, against the concrete. The team cautiously descended into the tunnel after Ortiz. Cpt. Miroslava fired at a glint with her shotgun, elicting a scream and a thud.
Kicking Ortiz’s gun out of his hand, Xosé clubbed him with his buttstock.
“Where’s the fucking cylinder!” he demanded.
“Here sir!” called Lt. Markéta, holding the cylinder inside of a containment unit. “Lets get this piece of shit out of here.” Mikhailo threw a black bag over his head, and cuffed him.
The team lead their bloodied prisoner to the platform. Xosé spoke a voice command into his helmet’s headset, connecting him to TPF’s secret service hotline.
“Hello?”
“Listen carefully. My name is Colonel Xurxo Xosé of the Mer des Ennuis Special Forces. Me and my team successfully intercepted a known terrorist named Sean Ortiz, preventing the release of a biological agent code-named Aurora in Central Station. We are taking him into our custody.”
With that, he heard a light hissing sound. He snapped his neck over. From the dead man, a small, open cylinder was rolling across the platform, spewing a tiny aerosol. It fell onto the tracks ahead of an oncoming train.
“Mother of God… Correction. I have a confirmed release of a Class 4 biological release. Ground zero is Central Station, and a fucking subway just rolled by. Consider your entire subway system a hot zone.”

All around the subway station, Police Officers where screaming at the top of their lungs, trying despreatly to evacuate anyone from the station. Miles away numerous HAZMAT teams rolled out, trying to quarantine the area. Ambulances were on there way. Meanwhile, at the Federal Army's Headquarters, men, clad in body armor and NBC suits boarded helicopters. IF the virus, whatever it was spread, many people would die. Their job was to quite frankly, kill anyone who escaped the Quarantine zone, and burn their body.

OOC: All the stuff I say in the Emperor's speech is "speculative", which is enough to provoke him to attack. Nothing is final, nor even confirmed on the reports-and seeing how the report of the gas attack (Mer's post) was a bit ago, some Media of less reputable sources would already be on this by now, instilling some sort of panic potentially (as the TPF gov't hasn't done anything yet)

EDIT: Ah snap. Now TPF posts.

IC:
Rain slashed down through the Amazonian skies over the capital as an armed transport helicopter-bristling two sideracks of anti-air missiles-shot through the torrent, two AAF-13 fighters jetting behnd as escorts. The weater was miserable, but the planes and copter could take it for short periods. The capital was a dreary grey through the drench, skyscrapers towering with yellow sprinklings of light. The actual capital building, on the other hand, was a starch opposite.
In the Capital Atrium, the Sovereign Guards-elite protectors of the Emperor himself-stood at attention, four lines of the soldiers, perfect statues. The helicopter skillfully navigated to the ground before the lines of soldiers, the interceptors screaming away. The helicpoter stopped its blades, coming to a dead halt-the rain dripping down both its metal plate and the metal full-surround helmets of the Sovereign Guards. Now, though, the Emperor himself descended from the copter.
Clad in a black and violet trimmed robe, he was not a particularly imposing sight-part of the image he liked to portray. The Emperor Droma was getting old, yet he was a fierce combatant still-able to handle many of the Sovereign Guards himself in the occassional fight Droma liked to stage. He preferred strategy, however, to tactics-he was much better at it. Though no longer did he ever go to the front lines-he was the emperor, after all, not another commander. He let his subordinates handle the process of front-line duty.
Stepping up the massive set of stairs that led to the entrance to the Imperial Palace, Droma was silent today. He had nothing to discuss-though he would when he got inside, out of the rain. He preferred the normality of synthetic atmospheres-such as those produced by buildings. He was business, not idle talk. Standing in the rain and conversing would be a pointless waste of time that the Emperor preferred to save for later. He reached the door, his aide quickly hitting a small button on a wall console next to the wide steel doors. The entrance gave wide, a giant crater forming in the wall as the doors swung open, revealing the entrance vista of the Imperial Palace.
Droma quickly bypassed the Vista, heading for another destination. The Imperial Palace was not simply a home for the Emperor: It was also a major installation for military and domestic issues across Amazonian spheres, relating all info immediately upon contact to the head of state. The room was the Terminal Rotunda-a massive complex that was less a "room" than a fully staffed security, intelligence, and command installation, a full seperate wing off the massive Imperial Palace.
The Emperor quickly moved into one of the most secure debriefing centers, a map already assembled on a wall-displayed screen and some of the most prominent military commanders in the nation at attention. The Emperor ignored them, quickly heading to the front of the room and dropping the hood to his robe. Droma's head-what fragments of white, frayed hair drifting down, piercing blue-gray-almost white-eyes shooting daggers at any it came in contact with.

"I have a rather important reason for this," the Emperor spoke at last, his voice a raspy, yet at the same time, booming croak, "the importance is significant. Our orbital satellite network has intercepted a recent movement of a massive air move by the nation of Pudu. This in itself is not significant at all. However, preliminary reports are that some sort of gas-" here the Emperor paused for effect, "-has found its way into at least one subway station in the nation of the People's Freedom. This information has come from personal eyewitnesses during what was claimed as a 'police action' on two men, one who apparently dropped some sort of canister that fell into the track of a subway. This is all unconfirmed, but eyewitnesses have this thing about telling the 'truth' at times-truths that can be convenient. Some less reputiated press have gotten onto this, but so far, the government of the nation has released no information."

"In the past," the Emperor continued, "Pudu we believe once attempted an attack of sorts on the People's Freedom homeland. The nation of the People's Freedom at the same time is not a popular one in the world scope, and likely would have few friends. Whether Pudu has picked up on the free press's reports about whatever gas this is on the subway-which could be totally harmless, at the same time, but enough to cause panics, which such circumstances do when there is little information-is unknown. However, some of our own intelligence agents have speculated that this could be a good time for the Pudu government to launch a second attack on the People's Freedom. It would be a perfect time."

Droma paused again to let things sink in, and for anticipation about what he was about to say.

"Our military is overloaded here at home for the time-I do not like that fact. Little action has even ventured across the ways of the Dominion, and this would seem a perfect opportunity to give the military a push to cause some action."

Droma shot his glance through the ranks of assembled high officers, who all knew what he would likely say.

"I hate defense," Droma uttered, "it is frequently weak and overrated-too easily to be subverted, beside what all say about the advantages. The Federation claimed to have had an impregnable defense, and yet our attackers punctured it with ease. Therefore, I have come to a final, and irreversable decision based on what we know-or at least, believe to know-at this moment. The nation, the government, the people-of the People's Freedom shall know our fire, shall meet our muzzle flashes, shall find the recieving end of our bombs and our devices. They shall know no relent, no stop, no give in our resolve. The nation shall be put down like an animal!"

With this, the Emperor slammed his fist down on a metal table adjacent to where he stood, denting the metal, yet somewhat pliable, surface.

He notified his superior, who notified his superior, who notified his superior, who notified his superior that was having sex with the President's wife, and he called the President who called Emperor Pudu on their hotline. He then ordered TPF on high alert.

Lt. Zuzana Markéta twisted the knife, she wanted him to feel it. Ortiz was standing on his toes, his wrist lock slung on a nail just high enough to make him uncomfortable. This particular safe house was slippery with blood, and would need to be burned before the day was over.
“I’m going to ask you again. Where will the next attack be?” asked Col. Xosé calmly.
“I… don’t… know…”
“Twist it a little more.” Xosé ordered, his voice barely rising. The scream that came was inhuman. She must have ruptured an intestine.
“One more time. Where is the attack going to be?”
“Fuck you!” came the reply. Ortiz must have recently seen Scarface.
“I’m in the mood to dick around. Take him down. Steven, you are going to feel the worst pain in your life.” Xosé said. Amazingly, his voice wasn’t the slightest bit angry. Mikhailo cut Ortiz down in one swift motion. It took three of the Death’s head to restrain him until he could be fully pinned down. Xosé went into his “toolbox” and pulled an evil little black box out. The box, 3x1 inches, had two white buttons on it.
“See this?” Xosé said, holding it an inch above Ortiz’s head. Tapping on the side of Ortiz’s head, he continued “this is what will break you. This will puncture your skull right here and press directly on your trigeminal nerve. I hear that the pain is akin to a hot icepick. If you don’t tell me where the attack is, I will be forced to use this on you, and then you will wish for a death you won’t get.”
Ortiz drew a blank stare, though his pupils contracted with the fear of one of the world’s most intense pains.
“Sherwood regional airport. We picked it because it does not have any international connections, so we don’t think it will easily spread abroad. We also picked a shopping center in Liberty City, The Sunshine Mall, and the natural gas pipeline feed will be hit in New Atlanta. ”
The pipeline he was referring to was where an odor was added to natural gas so that leaks could be detected. It most likely went to millions of homes in the region.
“How long?”
Ortiz gave the smirk of a man seeing death. “Three hours ago.”
After the device was inserted and turned on, the chained down Ortiz was attempting to break his cast-iron bonds, Xose phoned the same security agency he had before, while his team prepared to move out to their main base of operations, a miniature fortress loaded to the brim with smuggled in weapons, and contained three years of rations. The operator would hear the screaming.
“Hello. Be quiet and listen carefully. I have information extracted from a terrorist. The Sunshine Mall in Liberty City and the Sherwood Regional Airport have been hit by the Aurora virus three hours ago. Symptoms will not appear in victims for at least two days. I have worse news: a natural gas pipeline feed has been contaminated in New Atlanta with the virus.

You will find a man named Steven Ortiz chained down in the basement of 178 Shoemaker Blvd. He is responsible for the attack on the Central station subway. The “off button” is the top one. I suggest you hurry before he enters cardiac arrest.”

The team left. Xosé and his team were too late to prevent the attacks. Luckily for him, the communist militia would be entirely to blame for the attacks.

There was little TPF could do about the attack. The subway they had been able to contain.. for the most part. The Natural pipeline was the worst, it had already infected an estimated 5 million people. There was mass panic and chaos. The Stock Market collapsed. Everywhere people were dying. Martial Law was declared. Massive Pyres everywhere were burning thousands of bodies. Citizens were given plastic to cover up their homes, with gas masks. The National Guard, Federal Police, Local Police, and the elite Federal Army units patrolled everywhere. Hospitals were overflowed, but there was little they could do. The country watched, in complete and utter shock, as millions of lives were lost in front of their lives. It was the worst disaster in all of TPF history, not even the nuclear bombing of New Peter came close to this.

Imperial War Office, Shakal City

Francis Weldheimer stood up in front of the respective ministers of war. To his left stood his old friend Orik Yelosh. He held no great military rank, but he had almost 40 years of experience to call on.

"Admiral, you leave immediatly." Francis ordered calmly. This would be the first war since last years conflict with the Hatarian Conglomerate. Only this time the war would be a war.

''Yes sir." Said Admiral Bresslov. He was to lead the entire fleet to attack the now very unpopular Peoples Freedom. The navy would secure a route to send in the troops and establish a beachead.

"Sky Marshall, you know what to do." Weldheimer watched the marshall leave. He was worried about this war. The airforce was small and not that well prepared for a set of strikes directed at a target thousands of kilometers away.

"The rest of you. Good Luck." Weldheimer left the bland white room and headed for his office. "What have I done old friend?"

"You have sent us to new victories." Orik replied.

"Still have a brain do you?" Weldheimer laughed at his old companion. The man's aged exterior hid a wise and calculating attitude.

"It has been many years since I needed it." Orik turned a corner and split away from the High Chancellor. The massive Shakal navy now going to leave port would be the largest gathered fleet ever to set sail. Just over 400 ships would be leaving full of men and supplies bound for their objectives. Most of the airforce was being sent to support them. Ten million men were involved in the invasion. 'Just enough to beat Pudu to the capital'

Skies outside of The People's Freedom, Imperial Air Force Task Force 01, The War Begins
Although Air Marshal Obotur Vakhromeev was thousands of miles away, his leadership was not lost on his subordinates, and the Pudite air fleet continued forward in perfect precision. Well over one-hundred and fifty large transports, as well as seventy lighter, VTOL transports cut through the upper atmosphere above the waters outside the nation of the People's Freedom.

Flying out before them were six-hundred of some of the most advanced fighter designs in history, the F-78K Strakhen Sokol air superiority fighters. The whole fleet was moving at roughly mach 0.5, well below supersonic speed, and it was obvious that the shore defenses of the target nation would pick up the great mass soon. For this reason, it was decided that now was the time. The war would begin...

Wing clamps on either side of six-hundred planes covering an area of more than two miles released, all at the same moment, and twelve-hundred identical missiles tumbled towards the sea. Seconds later their engines kicked to life, they righted themselves, and each missile screamed off over the horizon, carrying an eighty-pound high-explosive warhead.

Six-hundred kilometers away, on the shorelines of The People's Freedom, there were dozens of likely well-defended shore radar instillations. Each of these sites would, obviously, emit a detectable radar signature as they searched the skies for the Pudite, or any other, attack. It was these radar emissions that were now the target of these missiles. For miles up and down the coast, and for hundreds of miles inland, there were radars. These were to be destroyed if the invasion was to progress as it was supposed to.

With the target largely blinded, the landing would be much easier, that is, easier than it would have been anyway...

Meanwhile, roughly two-thousand kilometers behind this force, was the naval assets that were required to base the refueling fleet that was, in turn, required to keep the air fleet in the air. Here there were two-hundred surface ships, escorting a force of five massive supercarriers, as well as five of their smaller brethren. These ten carriers and one-hundred and ninety escorts, commanded by an Imperial Air Force Rear Admiral Savka Ondreev, had recently received some rather... annoying... reports.

It appeared that the small nation of Shakal had launched their own task force, bound, to the ire of Admiral Ondreev, towards the shores of The Peoples Freedom. Although it was not seen as a threat, due to the size of the nation, the mere presence of the fleet was a detracting presence on the face of the Pudite invasion. Savka Ondreev had received new orders; to intercept the foreign fleet, and destroy it.

However, they would need to remain in position to support the fighters and receive or refuel the transports and fighters engaged in the operation. For this reason, the fleet would have to remain close to the shore, and that they would do. Still technically outside the national waters of the People's Freedom, the fleet hovered at around one-thousand kilometers off the coast, awaiting the return of their fighters. For the next few days that would be the routine, but only until the foreign fleet arrived…

As soon as the Shakalian fleet came within two-thousand kilometers of the Pudite Task Force, it would be engaged, and then subsequently, inexorably, destroyed. This was the Emperor's domain now...

The missiles were picked up on the radars, instantly the THEL Laser sites opendend fire as the missiles came barreling in. 75% of the incoming missiles were destroyed, but many radar sites were destroyed, leaving open a small, twenty mile gap in the defenses. Quickly, AWACS aircraft would cover that area, but they would take up to an hour to take position. By now TPF knew they were under attack, and despite the virus that was ravaging their country, they had to fight. Fighter Command Deployed their fighters. Elite F-34's followed by Q-21's, and Q-52's. The Navy prepared themselves as well.

Nickograd, Greater Nicksyllvania: Imperial Palace
21 Men were gathered around large semicircular table, each sporting a Dark Blue uniform with crimson red trimmings, covered in medals and ornaments. They are Supreme Council, the Oligarchial ruler's of Nicksyllvania, the best of the best minds of the Empire handpicked by the Emperor to assist in his rule. The Emperor himself sat in the center, flanked by the Supreme Administrators, as they were called. He himself also wore the traditional Dark blue officer attire, although with an overwhelming amount of medals that obscured the breast of his coat.

An Administrator, taking a paper from a prominant stack in front of him stood up and said "The Parliament wishes for the creation of a written constitution to serve as a guideline..."

"Denied" The Emperor spoke, the Administrators soon followed.

"By Unaminous Decision, the proposal has been rejected"

Stamping REJECTED onto the paper, before crumbling it and throwing it behind him, the same administrator took another paper forward.

"Duke of the Imperial Colony of Callasia, Wolfbet von Aschwurst is calling to our Attention that the southern neighbour, a reletively large nation called The Peoples Freedom is currently experiencing a largescale infection of an unknown virus. People's Freedom is also viewed negatively to the international community at this time, we have reports that Multiple nations are currently underway in launching attacks. He urges us to jump into the fray and seize territory, and if possible install a friendly Puppet government."

After a bit of silence an Administrator asked "What is the estimated Military Strength of The Peoples Freedom?"

"Our latest information estimates that at least 100 million are in the Armed forces. However, multiple nations with large militaries are also participating, they will likely be overwhelmed and not be able coordinate their counter offences."

"Even then, it may require the usage of our complete army and reserves. I find it absurd that we should wage a total war against some pissant country"

"I find it acceptable. Launch a border assault, if they prove to be resiliant we will stop, if they launch an assault on our land, we will have reason to declare a complete military mobilization. If we can make significant gains on the border, then we'll start a general war."

"Accepted" Many administrators declared, those whom were sceptical, seeing that opposition was futile also gave in.

"By Unaminous Decision, the proposal has been accepted"

"Inform Stratarch Ingerfunkur of Imperial Army Group Callasia to skirmish along the Callasian-TPF border, we will be sending in more men in the following weeks for him to utilize." The Emperor told the secretary, whom after completing the nessecery Bureacratic documents faxed them to the Callasian Army Group HQ.

-----------------------------------

Caledonium, Callasia: Callasia Army Group HQ
The Fax machine rumbled to life, and started printing the document. Then stopped halfway through the message, a nearby Army clerk got up from his seat, smacked the fax machine, it came back to life and completed the message. The Clerk skimmed through the message and immediately went to the Stratarch's office.

Saluting as he came in, the Clerk put placed the paper on the General's wooden desk. "Message from the Supreme Council Sir"

Adjusting his monocle, Ingerfunkur read the papers. "Gruppoffizier, notify our men immediately, we're going to war."

Skies outside of The People's Freedom, Imperial Air Force Task Force 01, First Wave
At the forefront of the Pudite spear, F-78K Strakhen Sokol fighters equipped with advanced sensor pods under their wings in place of a set of missiles, were able to detect and record a rather large gap in the enemies sensors arrays.

As the Pudite air fleet fell into line and jumped their engines up to the transport's maximum of mach 0.7 a picket of advance fighters formed up and leapt to the lead.

They knew they only had, at best, an hour, before the sensors were replaced or more were brought in, based on continuous satellite images, and so time was of the essence. Air-to-air missiles were readied and electronics warfare planes fell back into a supportive position, ready to continue to baffle and confuse the enemy’s defense force.

As the fighters neared the northern coastline, the fighter pilots waited patiently, for this was to be, for many of them, a baptism of fire. Experienced wing commanders reviewed strategies with their comrades, planes maneuvered for the best position in the five-man wings the fighters were deployed here in.

" Man, what the Fuck do they think they are doing?"
" I don't know, but they dumb motherfuckers is what they is."
" Seriously, like we don't monitor their border, I'm sure, we can see their buildup clear as day."
" They think that they can take us?"
" It would seems so, General."
" Bull."
" Orders?"
" Activate the Fourth Field Army, order them to the border. Begin Air Raids."
" Yes Sir."

Four million men were ready to head for the border, with them was nearly 20,000 Artillery, 8,000 Tanks, and numerous APC's, IFV's, Attack Helicopters and the like.

Meanwhile, Q-52's launched into the air, targeted the buildup and launched over 4,000 2,000 pound cruise missiles.

The ocean is the true cradle of life. Many have tracked the savannas of Africa as the cradle of humanity, the explosion of life-but that is not looking far back enough. Have not the oceans given Earth the Cambrian period, the true explosion of life? Have not the advances in life through evolution come first in the water, such as the electric sensors of sharks? Did not life swim before walking? Is not the largest creature not a land animal, but an aquatic mammal? Truly, the water is the nest of giving, the nurture of cells. It is the birth of sentience, of civilization-yet humans regard it merely as water.
Perhaps that is because how often it is traversed-and the Dominion is no exception. Naval forces have never been the true strong point of the Dominion military, but that fact is compensated by sheer firepower. Even water can't turn back massive explosions-or even a bullet. Nor can it halt the progress of massive navies, enormous ships, thousands of men that put their lives on hold to serve their country.
Hence, the ocean is man's friend-particularly the Navy's friend. A frigate floated on water, after all-and frigates lined the formation of ships that had proceeded into international waters. A total of 180 ships, centered around the four supercarriers and four LHDs that made up the aerial and primary grounding assets of the fleet, in addition to LSTs, LDIs, and various other transport ships. It was a dominant part of the Dominion navy, but as Droma had explianed, the military hadn't exactly been Captain Planet as of recent.
A flotilla of support ships were scattered in and around the carriers and various ground support ships, in several tankers, medical ships, supply vessels, armament carriers, and one command vessel: the ADV Recalcitrant Brethern. The command vessel, unlike many command ships, was not a weak craft-it was a modified Amazonian Dreadnought-except suped up quite a bit. Boasting a landing pad for a total of three copters, vertical missiles launchers, and several 16" single gun turrets, it was a ship meant to blow things up-whether they floated on the cradle of life or not as long as they were in range. It's commander was Grand Admiral Lushos Tyree, a veteran of the Dominion Wars and still with plenty of years in front of him: he was only fifty-two. His ship fit just in front of the carrier group, forming the lead of the armada's inner circle, along with the support ships, carriers, landing vessels, and frigates. The outer circle was comprised of the primary fighting vessels: the destroyers, cruisers, dreadnoughts, and several PCFGs loaded with missile boxes. Several minesweepers also fit in just inside the outer circle, just in case.
The armada was already on its destiny to deliver the People's Freedom's destiny-and there was no immovable object to counter this unstoppable force.

It was a mighty fleet to most, but when compared to the smaller but more powerful fleet the Pudu sent it was not enough. At Saint Peter's Mountain Complex, the Imperial War Staff was assembled. They had detected yet another fleet. They had already given the order to deal with them.

Deep in the mountains, Silo's opendend their doors, and more than 100 Shipwreck missiles roared towards space. Each one would realse ten warheads, with thousands of pounds of high explosive towards the fleet. Each one that hit a smaller ship would instantly wreck it, and any one that missed their mark would slam into the sea, creating a tidal wave that could also crush any smaller ship.

As the shipman sat motitoring the radar for activity he began to space out. It was a long monotonus job, but a very important one. If any Pudu forces were seen it was time to run. They were still thousands or kilometers away, but one never knew. He noticed a small blib on the screen and watched very carefully for a second. He saw it again.

"Sir. We have enemy contact!"

"How many?"

"I cant tell sir. I count over twenty."

"Missles, aircraft, ships? OUT WITH IT MAN!" Bresslov ordered.

"They are missles sir."

"Classification?"

"None. We have never encountered this type of warhead before."

"How long till they reach us?" Bresslov asked the seaman. "Never mind. Ready the Genesis missles to shoot them down. Warn the other ships. Tell them to increase formation size." Bresslov ordered in a flurry. It had truly begun. The planes were ordered off also to take the hits for the ships if he commanded it. Losing a fighter or two was alot better than losing a Cruiser or and entire Carrier. Roughly a minute later 162 Genesis Missles were launched to intercept TPF missles coming towards them.

Several Minutes Later...

"Tell F-208 to move its ass NOW!" Bresslov commanded. The missles were alot more deadly than he had expected. Around 60 had been taken down but the rest caused havoc. At least three dozen smaller vessels and Destroyers had been taken out along with four Frigates. Only two planes had been used to intercept the missles. They were to close to hitting the Carriers for comfort. Despite all his Bresslov couldnt help but think that he now wanted some of those missles for himself.

"Done sir.''

"Tell the Cruisers to send their payload of at TPF coastal defences. Focus on radar sites and airfeilds." Bresslov knew that his enemy would be prepared. "And order the lauch of 15 Rsj-88 Missles." They were to valuable to waste. They flew very low, only fifeteen feet above thr ground and carried a payload that was strong enough to take out a mountain. "Send them to hit the airfields closes to the shore."

It is a simple frontal assault, starting with a snap artillery barrage, followed by an assault by tanks and dismounted infantry with artillery firing upon any designated targets. If the advance is successful, they are to stop at 5km into enemy territory to prevent a prominant salient, if casualties become high, they are to pullback immediately.

They all were experts at explosives but those which showed more promise were placed in the Demolition squad. All of them could make a bomb only using a match, a tire and a glass of water and anything in between. Each of them could get within two centimeters of a target one centimeter in diameter, from 10 meters with a pistol. 8:00 PM

AIDS would go in by sea, two submarines with 25 AIDS men each, the submarines would stop 1 Km from the shore and the men would use hand held propulsion kits to get them to the beach without triggering the defences, they would then take off the wet suits and prepare to move in. They would make a point to spread themselves out across the beach

8:45 PM

After all the men had prepared, they would run towards the forest, they would then from the trees infiltrate the beach defenses along a 500 meter area. They would enter each bunker and trench and silently take out the troops.

9:15 PM

Another group of submarines carrying 150 more AIDS troops would arrive, and the troops would go up the beach to the meeting point. 100 of them would split and take out the beach defences for another 500 meters to either side, leaving a coastline of 1.5 Km without defense. In the meantime the 100 who were left move further into the forest, their job was to clear all the area ahead for the soldiers.

9:45 PM

The AIDS who had cleared the beach move back to their hand held propulsion kits and then go out to destroy any ships close enough to cause any damge to the Strator forces. the AIDS who had cleared the forest move towards the military base nearby and then proceed in assasinating the gaurds and bombing the buildings.

10:15 PM

The AIDS who bombed the ships go to meet up with the AIDS who bombed the base. From here they move inland and attempt to bomb the airforce base, expected to be on high alert due to the nearby bombs in military base. If to many troops have been put on guard, AIDS shall not proceed.

11:00 PM

Troops move back and go to pick up site 1 Km from shore

If the mission is succesful, the attack on TPF shall commence with a quick bombing on either side of the undefended territory to broaden the breach and then a surge of Strator troops onto the land

Moving 10,000 shock troops into position, The first 500 troops will arrive and take control of a major road between Cities. The road once secured, will become a staging point for more heavy transports who are in the air and on the Way…

Four Antonov (USSR) AN-70, VSTOL transports took off from an Indepenant Air field.
They knew that it was for real this time. Hours in the Air, mid air refueling and the constant drone of engines wore on the men inside the planes. The pilots could hear the radio buzz, as they approached the border the F-35 Joint Strike fighter escort took forwards positions. The Ten jet fighters checked their sensors, and then their missiles.

Two E-2C Hawkeye’s watched the air battle over the skies of the country before them.
In the Air were fifty more F-35 Joint Strike fighters waiting for the call.

Only a couple of hours out was the Expeditionary force, thousands of men who were counting on these five hundred to clear the way for the landing. They needed to silence all the Anti-Air units within twenty miles, while the ground troops needed to clear a road for at least five miles. Only then could they land deploy and take off to get new troops.
The second group of B-52’s was rearming, refueling and putting fresh crews in the planes. Taking off for another bombing run. The next loads would be more Stand off cruise missiles; 2,000 lb; and 5,000 lb smart bombs. Next would be Daisy cutters, to destroy any large local ground forces opposing the invasion.

Claudius smiled as he read of the destruction facing ThePeoplesFreedom, his old enemy. This was too good of an opportunity to pass up by the way he saw it. He did not hesitate to call up the best of his Admirals, Lucius Ironclaw, and plan out his course of action.

The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Griffincrest Fleets were soon being rallied, as were their corresponding ground forces. Thousands of mercenaries, eager to be finally out of isolation, crowded onto their transport ships. The new, powerful Chariot MBT's, manufactured by the Kriegzimmer Corporation, drove up onto their ships, along with the smaller Mars Light Tanks and Mercury APC's. This would be the first time that an all Griffincrest armored division would ever be used, and the commanders were all eager to see the way things panned out.

On the decks of the Corporate carriers, a half dozen Forrestal class carriers supported by a number of smaller light carriers, all sorts of aircraft waited for their turn to prove themselves. F-4 Phantom II's, F-14's, and even a number of Su-15's were all on standby aboard the decks of the Forrestals, while navalized Gnats and AV-18's sat patiently on the smaller ships.

As the three massive fleets set sail, the Admiral radioed back a promise to Mr. Griffincrest. Either he takes TPF, or he would die trying.

After a little while the QF-21's detected the enemy planes, but not all of them and turned to engage. Their were twenty of them, and 40 of the enemy. They let loose, firing one advanced missile at each guided by a combination of LADAR/RADAR/ Infared/ and limited GPS.

IC:

The missiles were quickly analyzed as they exited TPF area-and their course triangulated. It was clear where they were headed-but the fleet still had time to prepare.
Prepare they would.

"Full stop across the boards," came the order across the fleet, "Change course vector to mark 350. Bring interception systems online, launch what interceptors we have on Alert-10 immediately!"

From the supercarriers, twelve of the typical naval interceptors (per carrier) of the Dominion-the FI-20 Vigilance-moved towards launch positions on the carriers. Deck crews gave the go-ahead, and the forty-eight interceptors-plenty left still on the carriers in case something adverse happened-took off with a flare, their afterburners singing hot blue on the metal deck and through the air. Loaded with various AAMs, they would take some shots of their own against the missiles as they tried to closed-including one of the Dominion's nastier weapons, the AIM-3 oxygen-fueled explosive-containing Spreader. The Spreader wasn't designed as a normal AAM in the common sense-it was a thermobaric interception missile. It would make a large, pretty, incredibly damaging explosion that would encompass a nice volume of space.

A dozen ECM aircraft also were in the air immediately after the interceptors-the supercarriers had good-sized decks, and it took but three runs to get everything up and flying. They were FAE-44 Rangers, electronic warfare and electronic attack aircraft. They were loaded with jamming equipment and hardpoints with various ECM means-and would take a crack at the guidance computers of the missiles. They were not large aircraft-only the size of normal attack fighters of the Dominion-but they were meaent for busting anything with a computer or electronic signals, which the jammers hoped to do by overloading the missile systems with static and data "white noise".

Across the fleet, meanwhile, the shisp began getting prepared. SAM batteries and VLS systems came online, interception gun turrets beginning to focus in towards the general direction of the missiles. The inbound warheads would have hell to cross.

ICBMs don't reach space. They stay small enough because they stay in the atmosphere-they don't reach escape velocity. Modern ICBMs reach sub-orbital ranges (even look at wiki if you don't believe me) if an ICBM reached space nowadays, it would be huge. You know how much fuel it takes to propel a space shuttle into orbit? Well, this wouldn't be that much, but you intend to throw ten warheads into space on one carriage body, breaking escape velocity, then somehow getting those warheads, after seperation, through the Earth's atmosphere-which has burned up many other falling things (meteors fall into the sky every day and are burned to crisps, and they can get pretty big before they actually make it past and into the atmosphere), then somehow have enough propellant still in each warhead to allow it to make course changes while falling back to Earth-all while falling at incredible velocities? That would be a very large, and very costly, missile. For just one.
Keep in mind, a course change while falling at such velocity would take a good amount of force-which would take a good amount of propellant.
A more practical missile would stay inside the atmosphere. This would solve every problem that I've outlined-though staying inside this range, which wouldn't excede the stratosphere, would place such missiles in long range SAM range (we already have medium-range SAMs that can go a good distance, and are compact. A long-range SAM would go considerably farther while packing on some mass and size).

The last of the warheads were destroyed, which was surprising since they were going so fast... but no matter... the bombers were fast closing in.
Amazonian Beasts
23-02-2007, 03:48
The bombers weren't picked up just yet by the fleet-they were still a good distance away, and the Dominion group had more pressing issues at the time.

"Have the fighters fire the second volley. We'll begin interception now," came the order down the fleet.

The fighters fired their second volley of AAMs at the warheads, the Shreader AAMs breaking loose from hardpoints, their engine racks blasting forward at 2000 knots/hour towards the inboun warheads.
The ECM jets had done all they could-if the jammers hadn't worked the first time, likely they wouldn't punch through these warheads. They switched to their only means of self-defense to take their own physical shot at the contacts-the AIM-1 Spray AAMs, intended to take down interceptor fighters-though they would do well enough against a missile. The Sprays were designed like a mobile explosive shotgun: they closed close to their target before spraying their nose cone into fragments as the body of the missile continued to plow on intended course. The fragments were capable of easily puncturing most fighter armor-though they likely could do little (the upgraded version of the AIM-1, the AIM-2 Slit AAM, used heavier payload in exchange for speed reduction) to a bomber's frontal cowl. However, it was a warhead-if the AIM-1s were true, they'd make nice little fields of doom.
The fleet now began their own firing. Shreader AAMs had a variant-the SM5 medium-range Shreader SAM, essentially the same thing but built from surface launchers instead. This was the first volley of SAMs opened up from the fleet, followed by standard SMMR Medium Range homing SAMs, standard contact-explosion SAMs. The fleet rippled with multiple launches, clouds of vapor and smoke dispersing in the air. The combat ships piled on an excess of missiles to combat the danger-three-hunderd sixty missiles shooting forth from sixty vessels, an average of six per ship. They carried many more-but they were expecting more action to arrive when they reached TPF shore.

"Deploy more fighters. We'll make sure we get these gnats."

Two more squads of Vigilances roared off the supercarriers, armed to the teeth on thirteen hardpoints of AAMs.

Skies outside of The People's Freedom, Imperial Air Force Task Force 01, First Contact
The F-78Ks, still a distance off shore, had been aware of the enemy's aircraft since their launch, and were prepared to deal with them. The first blood would be drawn from over the horizon, as it was with modern war.

The foreigners had already launched their missiles, although the LADAR would be of little use beyond visual range, as it was, and the GPS and RADAR signals were dealt with handily by the electronic countermeasures planes, for the most part. As the attacks entered the spectrum of the Pudite aircraft, the last defense was raised; a skirmish line of fighters advanced, and engaged the missiles themselves.

The thermal dispersion systems on the aircraft had reduced their signature to such that it would be difficult to engage from the front, and as the missiles streaked towards them, the final defense was raised. Small pods located on the front of the planes each hummed quietly, their noise drowned out by the roar of the aircraft, but their effect pronounced, they each emitted a concentrated burst of microwaves, and, upon hitting each missile, proceeded to fry the electronics inside.

Certainly not all missiles could be destroyed, but casualties were of the absolute minimum. Maybe a dozen aircraft were impacted, their bodies shattered and torn as they tumbled, flaming, out of formation and into the sea. However, all others continued on.

The remaining five-hundred and eighty-nine Strakhen Sokol fighters released their own volley, each loosing a pair of Beyond Visual Range attack missiles from internal bays, without even, as is wont, dropping out of mach-two plus speeds. The missiles were ejected, tumbling head over fins, before they were righted by their guidance systems. Each them exploded off at speeds exceeding mach six, their sixty-pound warheads guided by thermal sensors, supplemented lightly by Global Positioning Satellites, should they become confused.

Behind these missiles the pilots began their preparations... The wing leader and his wingman would fly side-by-side, supported by three of their brethren flying a few hundred feet above them, ready to sweep down and take the kills presented. The real bait, however, was the final of the five pilots, located a short way off to the left of the rest, would screech across the front of their wing mates, drawing the fire of the enemy while the three above pounced down for the kill...

This is where the Pudite pilots would excel, their timing improved by a direct neural interface with the plane itself, supplemented again by the rigorous training and physical enhancement of the pilots.

Their enemies were doomed; they just didn't know it yet...

The Drones exploded in a Brilliant light. That was of little worry to the commanders on the ground. The AWACS planes were almost up, and once they were, the drones would become insanely deadly, with their Viper missiles. In the meantime, more than 2,000 QF-21's were amassed, followed by the much more expensive and elite QF-31's (200 of these)and more than 40 Q-52A's.

The Shakal fleet was reformed and had saved the survivors of the attack. The military wasnt ready for an invasion of this caliber. The news that turmoil in their own regoin was also going to claim the resources.

"Those damn Mt. Baker people. Cant let us wage a war without interference." Bresslov had made contact with Weldheimer and the news was humiliating at best. He was being ordered to pull back to crush the Mt. Baker naval forces moving towards Shakal city. "Damnit!" He slammed his fist on the table. Retreat meant disgrace, but remaining meant the loss of another war much closer to home, and the loss of the entire fleet.

"What are we doing sir?"

"We are heading back. Disgrace is a small price to pay for the defence of our own people unless you want your mother put into slavery Mr. Johanson?" The man left the room and the fleet began to turn about and head home. "Damnit!" Bresslov repeated. This was a kick in the ass. "And they even have the help of those damn Arbiters..."

The plan to attack was finalized. The Soldiers were drilled, and had memorized the surrounding geography and nearby TPF units. The 427th Corps were to attack along a small section of the border and will achieve a 4:1 local advantage in numbers.

Howitzers and MLRS uploaded co-ordinates to their computer to quickly fire upon all hardpoints found by sattelite imagery and reconnaissance reports.

The Tanks were revved up and ready, local froilage covered them to provide some camoflauge over the Drab greengrey stock colour.

The Soldiers fixed their bayonets, officer's passed out a shot of rum to all soldiers as is a Nicksyllvanian tradition before an assault.

Artillery fired their programmed volley's in rapid bursts, firing at 3 targets before the crew moved the Self Propelled guns to a new location to prevent enemy counter battery fire.

With a blow of whistles along the Nicksyllvanian lines, the Infantry charged forth, as did the Tanks. It wasn't long until the TPF soldiers, recovering from the bombardment started firing back, the concentrated Nicksyllvanian Forces made easy targets whenever they had the opportunity to fire, the Nicksyllvanian forces put on suppressive automatic fire from their Machineguns. Cruisemissiles rained in from the sky onto the Nicksyllvanian Forces, while Imperial soldiers did their best to camoflauge the essential supply depots, 2 of them were hit one of them containing vast amounts of artillery shells and explosives, creating a massive explosion, the other destroyed several hundred tonss of food, Thousands of copies of Weekly Soldier Magazine, and the half the corps stockpile of toilet paper.
The shoddily camoflauged airports were easily detected and were devestated by the cruisemissiles, although most of the planes in underground hangars were saved, control towers were leveled, and the runway was pocked with numerous holes. Bulldozers and engineers were quickly sent to the scene to make quick repairs to allow aircraft to launch.
The Rest of the Missiles did reletively minor damage, hitting some SAM sites, Artillery Batteries, and the occasional group of luckless soldiers.

The Griffincrest 3rd Fleet began to break off from the rest of the Corporate Armada. Its destination was to be the nation of Indepenants. It was rather obvious that this nation would do nothing but destroy valuable oil deposits in TPF, and so they would be conquered as well. Literally hundreds of C-802 were being prepared aboard each of the twelve Volcano class arsenal ships within the fleet, and planes aboard the third fleets two carriers began leaving the flight decks.

Three groups of five F-14's each left the carriers, and began heading for the major port city of the new target. Each prepared their payload of CBU-100 Cluster Bombs and called out their targets. The majority of the bombs were to damage the harbor, while the rest would focus on the city defenses.

Behind the F-14's would be a wing of F-4 Phantom II's. These planes would all be equipped to drop napalm upon the city. They had a special plan in mind for the napalm drop too. When they were done, the center of the city would have a massive cross burned into it.

Skies outside of The People's Freedom, Imperial Air Force Task Force 01, Closing In
The Pudite air forces were closing rapidly, the advance guard of the F-78Ks blasting across the horizon at speeds exceeding mach three, approaching their target, hoping for a confrontation overland, where the rest of the fleet's cargo could be unloaded.

Behind them a few hundred of the two-man F-41A fighters kept their speeds moderate, keeping in formation with the dozens of transports they were escorting. These aircraft were now preparing to launch their own opening volley, to follow that of their comrades. Similarly to those before them, these one-hundred and twenty-five planes each would open up their internal bay doors and jettison a similar pair of long-range, thermal/GPS guided missiles.

A large mass of foreign fighters had been detected further inland, the Pudites would have to even out the odds, somewhat, to give their comrades to the front a fighting chance.

Everyone involved in this mission knew; their only objective was the delivery of the ground forces. Everyone else was expendable, it was only the manner in which they saw best to further the cause that limited their means of death, for it was certain.

The Armada of aircraft soon finally had their AWACS up, and with it, there powerful, and lethal, Viper missiles. Each one had a range of 200 miles, depending on the speed, at fastest it was at 50. They had one thousand pound warheads as well. They got the range from the AWACS, and they were able to bypass most Radar Jamming due to the AWACS's supercomputers that counter the effect. 1,000 fighters broke off to attack and destroy the F-78K's, launching their missiles, two each, at maximum speed. They then went to fly in closer, to realse their short-ranged missiles, before they would become missiles themselves. Meanwhile, the other 1,000 and the elite QF-31's accompanied by the Q-52A's turned towards the transports. There were only a couple hundred miles to shore, where the enemy was going, but also where the SAM's would be able to help.

The Agressive Iteraction Division of Strator (AIDS)

Total of 300 Operatives. All operatives were trained since age six to be the ultimate assasins and commandos. They were trained to black belt level in Judo, Karate, Thai kickboxing and Kung Fu. They all were experts at explosives but those which showed more promise were placed in the Demolition squad. All of them could make a bomb only using a match, a tire and a glass of water and anything in between. Each of them could get within two centimeters of a target one centimeter in diameter, from 10 meters with a pistol. They knew where most pressure points were and could kill with one jab to any part of the body. They all could pilot a plane, drive a tank and steer a boat. As part of their training, they learnt to become almost invisible within their surroundings, and yet they could spot some of the best trained spies.

Equipment:

Armour: Kevlar, Rubber coating, reinforced steel plates, bullet proof vest underneath, All in black, Hands with climbing gear (spikes, suction cups)
HUD visions: Infra red, Night vision, GPS maps, Armour damage, Electricity sensor, Communicators, Heart beat sensors
Miscellanious: Grappling hook gun, Flashbangs
Armament (squad based): GL69A Grenade launcher, P90TR Sub machine gun, WA2000 Sniper riffle, 92FS Pistol (supressed), Super 90 Shotgun, SR-4CQB with M870 under barrel, Cutsom Strator Rocket launchers, Tyr hands-free (Double barrel Auto machine gun on both arms elbow-wrist)
Explosives: Frag grenades, Plastic explosives, C-4, Claymore, Breach charges

Operation: Shackle (basic over view, No squad designations)

If the mission is succesful, the attack on TPF shall commence with a quick bombing on either side of the undefended territory to broaden the breach and then a surge of Strator troops onto the land. There would be only a small force but they would strike while TPF was weak and unprepared

IC:

With the missiles destroyed, circling AWACS crafts above finally picked up the bombers.

"Get the newly launched fighters on them, I want full spread of anti-air!"

VLS launchers loaded in new homing SAMs as the new Vigilances banked to engage the oncoming bombers, their hardpoints clicking in to activation. The other fighter wing, coming back from the first sortie against the warheads, began preparing to engage as well-their remaining AAMs readying on wingtips.

"Fire! Full spread!"

The aerial forces alone let loose with heavy fire, launching 200 AAMs at the enemy-roughly 2 per fighter, targeting the bomber armada. The missiles streaked off fast, blasting past Mach 5 towards the contacts. The ships began their own fire, guns training-but holding for the time being. Instead, another missile barrage shot forward, over 300 SAMs shooting forth to engage the enemy air armada. With five missiles towards each bomber plane, from three different vectors, chances were being taken cared for.

Meanwhile, down at the fleet, evasive manuevers were underway. The ships began moving apart, giving space, making course changes to draw the bombers to choose between taking the missiles-and leading to death-or pursuing the prey in the slight chance of impact. Flak cannons began training on the inbound vectors of the bombers, to try and shoot at them.

Both fighter groups, meanwhile, were closing in on the bomber armada-locking and loading more missiles.

The bombers, now took aim at any ship, and each bomber launched seven missiles, then they aimed themselves towards the ships, and dived, hoping to hit something. The Majority however were destroyed by enemy fighters and SAMS.

OOC: Any ship? All right...

IC:

The bombers had targeted the outside vessels, apparently-one of the dreadnoughts being targeted, the rest of cruisers, destroyers, PCFGs, and frigates, and one LST.

"Increase fire! Full spread on cannon, gun, and missiles!"

The flak cannons of the fleet now opened up with a monstrous ripple, flak ripping the air open like a chainsaw as over a hundred ships blast armament into the skies. The fighters came in low now, close enough to engage in cannon support. The fighters began ripping from their main guns, 30mm cannon ammo tearing at the missiles and hostile bombers. The main guns also began firing, explosive shells causing giant black explosions across the previously cloudless skies. Short-range SAM launches shot clouds of vapor and smoke into the sky, missiles slamming through towards the enemy missiles at close range. The fire was as thick as a barbed wire fence, missiles, gun, and cannon all trying to pick off the contacts bearing down on the fleet as the fighters weaved in and out on the slower hostiles, using their speed and agility to close, fire, and move off, expending their AAM ammo loads.
The carriers, out of the targeted fire line, began throwing up SAM counts to try and defend their targeted escorts. SAMs from the carriers raked through the fire to close and contact.

Unfortunately, it wasn't all enough.

While the majority had been intercepted with the second wave, and this third close in wave taking even more, some picked the way through the hail of hell. Two of the suicidal bombers and fifteen missiles dove through the raucous overkill of defenses, slamming true to their targets. The two bombers hit a frigate each, one slamming the forecastle as the other nailed the front expanse. Giant explosions followed from the collision of the speeding bombers and the surface of the ships, metal and bodies thrown dozens of meters into the air as fire spewed forth.
Four of the missiles hit the second dreadnought. The ship was built tough-but not tough enough to stand four direct hits, three on the forecastle and the last slamming through the VLS launcher system into the ammunition dump. This was the biggest explosion-the giant warship erupted in a cataclysmic explosion, bursts gyrating through the ship as metal shattered into vibrant pieces, crew incinerated by the sheer heat of the explosion. The ship emerged as a crumblign mess, fire shooting high into the sky.
The rest of the missiles that made it through, 11, took their toll on five more ships of the fleet-two PCFGs, two cruisers, and a destroyer. Both PCFGs were wiped out-almost literally-by hits, their missile boxes pierced and ships cracked down their midsections by direct hits. Three missiles smashed the destroyer, blowing through the forecastle and helo pad-the destroyer was finished, and quiclkly listed to its starboard side. Four of the remaining struck the lead cruiser, blowing it to veritable pieces as metal, missile, gun, and human blew through the water. The last cruiser was only minorly hit, a smash down into its helo pad. The pad was ruined for now, but the cruiser was still afloat, though it was limping wounded-its hanger was also pierced, both helos inside smashed by flying debris.

OOC: Total casulties:

1 dreadnought
2 destroyers (1 by missile hit, 1 by collision during the chaos)
1 cruiser (1 cruiser also wounded)
3 PCFGs (2 by missile hit, 1 by too far of a list during subsequent tidal motion by the exploding dreadnought)
2 frigates
11 Vigilance Naval Interceptors
12 Seafire Attack Helicopters (1 each on the frigates and destroyes, 2 on each cruiser, 4 on the dreadnought)

“ Prepare Spiders, I want to stick it to them. Give me fifteen at least. You’ve got half an hour. Maybe less.,”

“Prepare all city and county defense systems. Launcher the UWS. All units are to report
to their systems. Deploy all Emergency services,”

“We are Being attacked by a religious zealot, who’s only purpose is to disgrace our people, and ruin this monument to the Indepenant People. We will fight them in the sky’s. We will fight them under the seas. We will crush their bones as they fall on our soil. And only stop once the Papal menace has been driven back. We may yet withdraw our noble men who fight now to secure new lands for your children. We may withdraw to our original borders. But we will never loose. Ever has your Elected dictator protected you, and saved you. Now Arise, people of the Indepenants. Now for wrath…Now for Ruin and a well met death!, Defend you children, your parents. And send a message to those who would force you to bow to an old man in a funny hat. That we fight today, and we all are free. In life and in death. Indepenants prevail!.,” The message broadcast over every communication system in the country.

At a range of 75 miles the city will open fire with ( # 54 ) standard SM-2 Block IV missiles. Each carries a 300lb warhead as far as 150 miles. They are equipped with semi-active radar and infra-red homing. They are targeting the F-4’s and the F-14’s.
At a range 20 miles, mobile AA batteries will fire off ( # 10 ) SM-1MR
Missiles each carrying a 55lb warhead. They have a range of 23 miles.
At 10 miles, SA-N-11 Gadfly’s will open fire at any remaining incoming fighter bombers.

From an air field two Hawk eye planes took off, with them were ( 36 ) Stealth Black widow II Fighters. Each is armed with ( 6) AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles, and
( 4 ) AIM-9 Sidewinders.

From inside the city on highways and Mall’s small groups of vehicles and air craft assemble. Through out the city and surrounding area Heavy AAA move into position.
SAM launchers position themselves in preset attack and ambush sites.
( 20 ) Tunguska AAA set up and are supported by ( 20 ) three man stinger groups.
Around the city, ( 45 ) sites on hill tops and in clearings / Parking lots where fuel reserve trucks, rearming teams and Ground based Air cover. Each site has a Avenger Anti-Air system { vehicle mounted } as well as ( 2) ZSU-23-4M Quad 23mm Auto cannon tanks.
And ( 2) Tunguska Dual 23mm Auto cannon tanks w/ ( 2) quad SA-19 Grison SAM missile launchers on the turret. Both Tunguska and ZSU-23-4M have built in Detection systems w/ the ability to hook up to large arrays. They guard a refueling truck, and two rearming trucks. There is a back up pilot on hand to take over for long haul fighting. There is enough fuel for 6 hours of air combat, and 6 reloads for the missiles and the on board auto cannons. In the event that we should loose all large scale radar systems. There are enough self sustaining mobile platforms that we are not blind

Skies outside of The People's Freedom, Imperial Air Force Task Force 01, The Battle Begins
The advanced F-78Ks would accept the challenge of these foreign competitors, and launched into the combat eagerly. The incoming missiles were the first challenge, which could be countered effectively enough by the plentiful Pudite countermeasures. The AWACs planes, however powerful, were distant, and their transmissions could be disrupted. Some missiles would stay connected through, as the fighters did not remotely have the electronics of the dedicated sensors plane. Besides the radar jamming, the Pudite planes confidently employed a mass of chaff, as the longer-ranged missiles, not guided by LADAR, could be confused. Flares accompanied these countermeasures, and that, combined with the Pudite aircraft's thermal distribution systems, would throw off any thermal guidance systems. Finally, the microwave emitters buzzed to life for the second time that morning, and downed a large number of the missiles.

Not all missiles could be stopped, however, and roughly twenty further planes fell into the ocean immediately, and some were also disturbed by the large explosions of the missiles, and were forced to fly out of position.

For the most part, however, the Pudite pilots stayed in formation, and as the foreign jets neared, they launched their own short-ranged missiles. These were both thermal and LADAR-guided missiles, whose eighty-pound warhead could reach speeds of mach seven before tearing through the targets.

Five-hundred and sixty-nine fighters launched their missiles, two each, at the oncoming planes. As the over one-thousand, one hundred missiles left the internal bays, the Pudite pilots steadied themselves for the oncoming short-range missiles of the enemy.

And they came. The second wave smashed into the jets, downing another eight aircraft, and forcing almost a hundred others out of their formations. For those that remained in the first wave, they would impact the enemy’s aircraft head-on, their superior tactics hopefully tipping the balance in their favor.

Meanwhile, a few hundred miles behind the advanced fighters, were the supporters. The few hundred F-41A fighters remaining steadied themselves for the assault, and arranged themselves in the standard, Pudite five-plane formation, ready to spring the trap on the machines coming to fight them.

The lighter, Coba transports, too prepared for combat. They were highly maneuverable, and carried their own air-to-air missiles. The only priority was getting these transports to the shore...

this is out of charactor :
Hay all with the NASA FIRST robotics compitition
coming to my home town, and being in it. I am dropping
out of the war thread. Cause I cannot keep both going.
I'll just admit now that Mr. Pudu ( how is that pronounced? )
Has beaten my forces back, if he didn't destroy them entirely.
thanks all for letting me in, this was my first war thread.
that's about all.
