OOC: This is the last tournament thread I'm putting up and I'm tired of writing the same old thing. Just obey the rules and TG me if there are problems. Other than that, good luck.

Shizra and Jeishka had both been scanning the contestants. There seemed to be a great multitude of species and variation in the amount of armor they were equipped with. "Alright, it's your turn young one. Remember what you've learned thus far at the Institute. Find your opponent's weakness and exploit it."

Jeishka pulled her brown hair back and tied it to prevent any problems during battle. Without the cover of her hair, her ears looked even larger now. The steal frame in her left hand filled with an energy barrier as her shield activated. Her long elvish blade remained in its sheath until her opponent took his position across from her.

The ground shook with each step he took....Rajaxx entered the arena his figure casting a shadow on his opponent. His eyes set on Jeishka he let out a bellowing laugh. "This is to be the one i fight? This is the best you can offer Rajaxx?!!" The great Qiraji General opened his left claw then shut it fast makeing the sound of it boom.

" Weak little thing you should be playing with dolls and learning to cook not fighting a warrior of my skill."

Shizra sighed in the background. Already they've pissed her off.

The lithe little elf in the arena smiled as she brandished her sword. "Dolls and cooking? Well I have used dolls for target practice but as far as cooking; I wonder how you'll taste after you've roasted on a spit and bonfire."

Enough talk in her mind. She slowly stalked in with legs crossing over to circle around. She kept her shield up in one hand while her sword tip was pointed out, dragging across the ground. What was the lesson on fighting giants again?

Rajaxx followed the elfs movements with his eyes he had no need to keep his guard up too much. He knew she lacked the strength to do too much damage in one attack. He figured in his mind she would not risk a outright attack on him as she lacked his power but that she would tease him. Rajaxx would not allow himself to burn threw his energy fast he knew his limits.

The elfs of earth i hear can be a pain to pin down and land a direct hit on if you are slower....i can only assune this elf will be the same. I must knock her off balance as much as possible.

Rajaax opens his claws takeing a seemingly offensive stance.

Jeishka decided to make her move. She twirled the blade around once in her hand and charged at the creature's side with her energy shield leading the way. Her steps were measured and determined keeping her knees bent and weight evenly balanced. Ready to roll in whatever direction a blow would take her.

Rajaax lifted both of his massive claws into the air and slammed them down into the arena floor attempting to cuase a shockwave powerful enough to knock his foe off balance.

The shockwave was more than enough to knock light Jeishka off her feet but she had been preparing for an attack. Her balance was lost but she was able to tuck into a roll and come out lunging with her blade at Rajaax's leg.

Rajaax with his hands already at the ground was able to move then just in time to hit Jeishka's blade to try and deflect her towrds his open left claw.

(I think I understand what you did...)

Jeishka felt the blow from Rajaax's hand but forced her lungs to fill up with air so that she the blow wouldn't stun her. She wrapped her arms around the claw and held on with all her might while keeping an eye on the open left claw. The elf didn't want to become any shorter than she already was.

It was a spur of the moment decision but this creature seemed to be about as tall as the some of the smaller trolls back on Mythrandir. She had an idea and hoped it would work. If not, then she would seriously have to rethink her current strategy.

Rajaax brought his right claw up so that Jeishka was at eye level. " And what do you think you are doing? Are you so scared you hold onto me like a little child would her stuffed animal? How sad indeed." Rajaax shook his claw attempting to make the elf lose her hold and fall. Once she did he would throw his foot down to pin her down so he could put his full weight on her.

Jeishka ignored the remark and simply continued holding on. Now that she was this close to her opponent, she was not about to let go. Her legs wrapped around the massive claw for added strength and stability.

She watched her opponent's stance every time the claw flailed about in the air. Her timining had to be right. As the claw raised one more time, Jeishka let go and flung herself high in the air. She flipped so as to come down facing the back of Rajaax with her blade drawn and slicing straight down his back.

The blade cut into the armor like skin of Rajaax even makeing sparks cutting threw his skin. He turned looking back in shock " Y-you were able to cut threw my skin?!" Green blood came from the wound in his back. Enraged by this elf who had done what no one in 300 years had done in wounding him turned putting his full weight and power into swinging one of his claws at the elf it also used alot of energy.

Jeishka grinned as her stroke hit the mark though she wasn't exactly prepared for the quick counter-attack. She barely got her energy shield up in time to keep from being turned into a bloody pulp. Still, that did not prevent her from being tossed clear across the arena as she came to skidding hault near the wall.

The elf rubbed her butt. "That's gonna be sore for some time."

The giant qiraji took a deep breath trying to calm himself. His pride had been hurt more then anything he had to stay calm. He could go bereserk and blow all of his energy in a short time to kill her but that was a 50/50 chance if he failed he would be out of energy with in a few moments. He couldnt let her get the best of him not somthing so tiny.

Jeishka had finally regained some amount of stability in her legs. The blow had jarred a few bones in her body and knocked a few teeth loose, but other than that she was still breathing. It was strange to her that the big creature had not taken advantage of the situation while she was down.

No matter. She couldn't afford to take too many more blows like that or else she would hit the wall and not wake up. Time to take up a new strategy. Use the its weight against him.

"Oh come on you big bug. You can't be afraid of me already. I give you one little scratch and you're all ready to start crying? Geeze, I expected more out of someone that made light of playing with dolls."

Rajaax's eyes nerrowed at the comments for a moment it seemed he would lose his temper agian. I will not allow myself to lose myself i must stay clam and wait for a opening Rajaax slowly advanced his guard up this time and his claws open ready to crab and crush the elf if she got careless and within reach.

To the elf, it seemed that her comments were hitting the mark but not having the desired effect. She decided to move into the next phase of her plan.

"You're not a momma's bug are you? Don't tell me that you are?! I travel all this way to fight against the supposed best that other nations have to offer and I get put against a whimp!"

She finished her taunt with a quick, measured, dash at Rajaax to judge his response.

Rajaax's eyes narrowed once agian he opened up in a full out charge towrd the elf. The elf got what she wanted but the effect and outcome might not be what she had hoped. As he neared the elf rajaax jumped high into the air he was burning 100% of his energy allowing him to move in ways the usely somthing with his size couldnt even dream of. He could keep it up for a max of three to 5 mintues. The mighty qiraji lannded right in front of the elf cuaseing the ground to shake and crack. Rajaax's claws were also moveing about randomly swinging at the young elf.

With such a high leap, Jeishka had some time to hault her own charge. She hadn't exactly expected the monster to be capable of leaping so high, a mistake of underestimating the giant that she would not make again. Jeishka threw her body in the air flipped. She had expected the claw attacks but the jolt from the landing made her landing a little sloppy. Still, she managed to stay on her feet.

Now it was time for a bit of tag. The elf dashed off towards Rajaax's side though she kept her shield up incase there was an attack from one of the claws. She wanted to get behind him if she could, but tiring this big thing out so she would be free to attack was more important.

Rajaax watched as the elf moved he would wait untell she was in a ideal range befor unleashing more high energy attacks agian...assumeing he could wait long enough.

Seeing that Rajaax was not countering her advancement, Jeishka proceeded to keep circling until she was inline with the giant bug's backside. Then she would pounce, hoping that he would be to slow to move the hulking body around in time to block another attack.

Rajaax waited as the elf neared for her attack. He planned to use a attack that he hoped she could not avoid. Tho the price would be high as her attack would score a direct peiceing hit. Once in ranged rajaax fell backward useing his legs to push back his body aiming right for the elf.

Jeishka's eyes went wide with shock. She was surprised yet again that this giant bug could move in such a fashion. The elf had misjudged again and she knew it would cost her. Shock did not freeze her reflexes, instinctively she knew that she couldn't dodge and that she was in danger of being smashed against the arena wall. The only option she could think of was to leap up high enough to miss the arena wall and stab her blade in hard through Rajaax. She could only hope that her jump was high enough and that her blade would actually pierce.

Rajaax slammed into the wall his gaze turned up as Jeishka's blade periced his chest the blade going fairly deep rajaax brought his arms in trying to prevent the elf from jumping away. He was running out of energy fast and needed to score a major blow soon.

A slight miscalculation had her in a situation where Jeishka couldn't dismount as she had planned. The jolt from slamming into the wall should have sent her sailing into the stands. She would have been bruised and badly hurt, but she would have been safe and away from Rajaax. Now she was slammed against his enclosing arms and then back against his chest, prevented from getting away.

She had little options open to her. She slung her shield on her back to try and prevent any injuries to her back. Jeishka gripped the handle and wiggled the blade free. Her only other option was to try and hack at the monster's arms and that is what she persicely did hoping to get free.

Rajaax looked down this elf had cuase him more trouble then he had thought, He had underesitmated her for far to long. As the elf slashed at his arms he put more and more pressure at this point two things would happen. He would lose so much blood he would pass out or she would have the air crushed out of her one or the other it was only a matter of time.

An interesting perdictament the two warriors had found themselves in. It was almost a stalemate. Jeishka's only hope now was that her shield would not snap and allow Rajaax to completely close the gap and cut off her air. At the moment, it was allowing her to breathe albeit a little at a time. Her only option was to keep hacking at an arm and hope that he would fall before she did. Only time would tell who would last.

Rajaax was loseing blood but he could feel the elfs shield starting to buckel. With the force he was useing when that happened he would snap the elfs spine but at this point his blood lose would kill him. As he readyed himself to do this his masters spoke to him.

Rajaax give up the fight we will be needing you to help lead th armys soon. The Emperors said togather in rajaaxs mind

But i can not let this elf think she has beat me!

If that is what you are worried about then let us put your mind at ease. The place we are going to destroy is her homeworld. Elfs have always been one of the top targets for destruction by the master. And this elf has shown they and the other races of that nation are strong and must be destroyed in order for us to go on with our plans. Once the invasion starts you can fight her with out haveing to obey the rules

With that rajaax knew his masters needed him and dying or becomeing to badly injured was not a opinion. He let the elf go and sighed " I give up i can not waste my life were i have more dutys i must attend to." He looked down at the elf and smiled tho " I'll be seeing you agian real soon tho so dont think this is over."

Jeishka fell to the ground in a heap once Rajaax had released his mighty grasp. She was dazed and could not possibly understand what he was talking. The elf maiden could only assume that he referred to a fatch match. Perhaps there was a sub-bracket were those defeated could fight there way back to the top and compete against the victors.

Her curved blade struck the arena floor as she used it to brace herself up. Breathing was somewhat labored as it was possible that a few of her ribs had snapped under the pressure. "The next time we meet, my blade will not miss its mark."
