*thinks a while* Ottoman spies are like...snakes in mouseholes. They could do it, if they really wanted to. But, for now, the Ottoman Intelligence Services are rather ignorant of the true meaning of the word "clandestine". So I'll sty out of the RP. Don't want bumbling fools around to mess up Bond's concentration!

I suspect I'll have to be a reader on this one... my own preference in espionage entertainment tends towards John le Carré, and I doubt an agent of that genre would fit well amidst more sensationalist peers drawn from Fleming et al.

I don't know about that- my own influences are obviously Ian Fleming and Frederick Forsyth, as you may have guessed, but some of Le Carre's work still fits in there fairly nicely. Take "The Tailor of Panama", for example- great book, and very much in the spirit of Forsyth's work, IMO.
