The Untitled (Temporarily) Planet - But Join Anyway

Basically, I'm trying to start another "Planet". Or really, I'm kinda, trying to/hoping to/wanting to. Now, the only reason I feel that it might be time for a new one is this: Earth II already has a four digit page number. And I know this probably seems like a pathetic attempt to you seniors, that's why I'm aiming to appeal to the new guys (like me).

Soooo...This is how it's gonna work (if it's gonna work):

Step One: We gather a good starting number of nations
Step Two: We gather a bit more nations, cause we keep asking eachother "Are you sure thats enough?"
Step Three: Someone shouts "OKAY THATS ENOUGH ALREADY!"
Step Four: We start a forum just so we can discuss our development
Step Five: Groups of 3-5 nations will gather together and start their own regions, like "Insert-Name-Here Pennisula" and "Insert-Another-Name-Here Archipelago" and "Insert-A-Final-Name-Here Island". The rest of the nations choose that they're either going to be on the main continents, or they're going to join the regions.
Step Six: If they join a region, they tell the founders that they want to join. The founders say "Okay!" :p
Step Seven: We find a good map maker in our midsts, and he designs our planet - It's NOT going to be Earth.
Step Eight: People who did not join up in the regions, join up in the mainlands. The mapmaker designates with the senior members of the planet where the CONTINENT'S Borders will be. We start out only using a bit of the land as to leave more for potential late-comers.
Step Nine: The Region-Founders help the Map Maker decide where their regions go and what they look like.
Step Ten: The non-region-ers assist the Map Maker in deciding the proportions and location of their nations on the continents. All will be made fair, none too big, etc.
Step Eleven: We all give the Map Maker a big hug
Step Twelve: We let it play out from there.

Other things will be required, like getting a custom flag, posting your nation's inner workings (its system of gov., etc.) and its stats. None too awesome.

Rules of course would be deemed by the group of nations within our planet themselves.

Now please, someone express interest, or I may start doing something like this: :headbang:

P.S. Again, this is for nations that our new and sprouting, as to avoid natiosn with too mmany entanglements that would make things complicated. And uh...Yeah, join. :D

How about it be in the near-future type where the militarization of space has already been done?

And how about we play with fictional countries/nation-states?

I have my nation-state/country ready,its in my signature.

And I suggest we call it Earth 4.

And we have a limitation of say 200 nation-states/countries?

Dobakwie - The only reason I don't really like RPing space battles is because I have no idea what type of technology might develop, nor am I much of a guru when it comes to space knowledge. However, all of the other things you said I completely concur with.

Yeah, it's going to be an entirely different map.

Also, I've created a new nation specifically for Earth X, in order to make it so I can RP with people outside of Earth X using my other nation, Helectica.

I suggest ya'll do the same, as to avoid being chained to Earth X.

Why not PMT? That way, Space is nearly zilch, while planet-restricted stuff is a bit more advanced and interesting/creative.

Hello there Divine Theocracy of Osaju, Im Commonwealth of Pax in Aeternum (I had to cut out "the" to make it fit!) I may make it slightly less long in future, but until then, screw pronouncability! ;)

A word to the wise, from my experience of RPing, which you can feel free to ignore as you please.

Word one would be, get RPing going as soon as possible, cos if making maps etc takes too long, people drift off, and you have to go a-recruiting again.

Word two would be to keep most RPing on-site, as off-site forums tend not to recruit new members...except when you specifically go recruiting...whereas active RPs on NS attract new members all the time.

(Main problem I've ever found is less Godmodding than lack of *active* members. You'll find one or two of your members GM, and they'll either learn better or be ostracised. From time to time, almost all your members will disappear for a bit).

Now, I'm not looking to join, as I'm too busy as is (even posting this is procrastinating I shouldn't be doing:eek: ). But good luck with the project.

Hey, I kinda like the looks of this, but I was curious as to whether or not that whole making a new nation thing is a requirment or just a suggestion? I'm not actually involved in anything in mainstream NS at the moment so I would be willing to dedicate my nation to this entirely.
