Blood slowly began to pool from the patients brain, "Orpheus, clear that up damnit!" Orpheus slowly pulled himself from a trance and placed the sucked next to the slowly increasing pool, "Okay, I'm implanting node 4 now." Doctor Marcus placed a large plastic object onto the clearly visible brain, it joined its counterparts already on the surface, "Replacing skull top." Orpheus handed the doctor the top part of the skull, it had several clear domes dotted about it so that it fit in place with the existing nodes.

The Patient remained motionless for a while, "Dr Marcus? Isn't the effect supposedly instantaneous?" Marcus gave Orpheus a sharp look of pure idiocy, the cadaver slowly rose into an upright position, he glanced at his frail body for a second before pulling a scalpel from across the room into his hand.

He glanced at the small knife for a second, "You are wicked man Marcus, but I forgive you, you have given me this gift and I shall not stop but to serve the bidding of the Senate!" Marcus smiled beneath his surgeons mask, "I shall inform the Grand Pensionary of your success myself." The cadaver rested for a second.

Marcus grabbed a plumed helmet from the surgical tray, he placed it upon his head, "Sergeant Lucus, you will not be able to contact him, you see this?" Marcus pointed at his helmet, "This keeps you out, you will serve merely to protect the senate, not learn our most prizely held secrets." Lucus returned.

"I... Understand, Nurse Orpheus, inform the Grand Pensionary anyway." The nurse ran from the room in terror clutching his mind.

(OOC: Hope this aint too wanky but I need a defence against stuff like.. Jedi and stuff...)

OOC: You realise Psykers draw Tyranids, Daemons, and Chaos forces like moths to a flame, right? So, you're out of the frying pan...

OOC: Wouldn't say Psykers draw the tyranids. Life draws the tyranid, psykers just suffer under their fel gaze. Only the psychic beacon of genestealers/vanguard entities draw them. Daemons and Chaos though, yup. Won't get possessed if they have a system like the Soul Binding...

(OOC: Wouldn't it only call the Chaos if they were linked to the Warp, I mean the Tau survived for so long cos they don't use the Warp and in so far as I know there havn't been any Black Crusades against the Jedi (I know, wrong universe.) well anywhos, i'ma dig out my old CSM Codex and begin praying to whichever of the 5 Gods will save me.)

OOC: The Tau have no psychic presence. The Jedi probably wouldn't either, but we'd cleanse them for being unclean and not offering obeisances to the True Gods either :D

Tzeentch might take pity on you, and speak not of the Outcast, for he is not that which is of Fluff

Tau DO have a presence within the warp (I think), it's just a tiny little atom sized spark compared to humans though, and there fore near non existent. However, I'd say that Commander Farsight may be influenced by a an artifact connected to the warp. Or the Ctan, either way it fits. I do wonder about the Kroot though, as they are capable of absorbing the DNA of their opponents. They may have a presence within the warp.

(OOC: Damn you Old Ones!!! You have cursed my nation forever!!! I'll throw a load of Krorks at you Chron!!! :P)

The 1st Psyker will fall under Senate Jurisdiction, they are to be loaned out on a priority basis with permission only availiable from Grand Pensionary Icharus, Anti Psyker helmets are advised but not imposed and will be avaliable immediatly for all those wishing to put the Psykers to use.

The Psyker Regiment will be divided into 4 Companies and each will be granted a Lord Marshall to maintain order within the ranks, not that order is required amongst Pyskers, 2 more companies have been put into production but they will not be ready for active service for at least another year.

In response to the possibility of involvement from such psychically tuned empires the Senate has issued the production of 2 more 1st Rate Battlecruisers and a special Anti Psyker Regiment to be formed from the old 32nd Order Regiment who have seen little combat since the times of the great rebellions.

OOC: They could easily pick up a psyker taint from DNA. I know the Tau have some presence, but its so tiny as to not actually matter. My theory? Farsight's being manipulated by the C'tan and the Tau as a whole are an Old One experiment.

And no Krork damn you! They're filthy beasts!

OOC: Doubt the Tau are an Old One experiment, more likely is the Ethereal. They fit the Old One's better than do the Tau. BTW, how powerful are these Psykers?

(OOC: It's all explained by the reactions on DoW "Err, getting some static, switching to another channel." Classic stuff :P

The idea of having a Krork thrown at you is enough to make even the foul gods laugh, thus making me win :P

Anywho's as much as I'd like to discuss WH40K semantics, I must sleep, for it is 5 in the morning and my dad'll be pissed as hell if he finds me still awake this early in the morning, see at 12 GMT :P)

Department of Military, Classified Subjects Subdepartment

Marcus swiped his card through the grey box, the light went from red to green and the door opened, "Pensionary, please after you." Icharus nodded and he walked through the sliding door into the laboratory, he was followed by 5 men from the Senatorial Guardsmen.

Inside the room was a clear cell housing a man bound in a dense hexagon shaped device, around the cell scientists fervantly typed away on consoles, "Grand Pensionary, may I introduce Magus Alpha, the father of our Psyker soldiers." Marcus pointed to the man in the hexagon, he seemed too pathetic to be built up in such a way, "Ummm, well he likes to call himself Alpha." Marcus deperatly tried to retain the attention of the Pensionary.

Alpha shifted a little and stared deep into Icharus' eyes, the Guardsmen twitched, suspecting Alpha could act at any moment, "Oh! Nonono, gentlemen! This cell, it's built in the same fashion as your Psyker helms, behind this wall he is completely cut off from the warp." Alpha smirked slightly as if he knew something that Marcus didn't.

Icharus got closer to the caged one and glanced into his cell, "Errr, Pensionary, I think you might take an interest in our current research?" Icharus walked over to Marcus and stared at him, "Okay, well we've not quite gained enough information to fully utilise this ability but there seems to be an entirely different plain of existence that the Psykers tap into, we tried tapping in before with a supercomputer, i'm sure you were briefed on the Aegyptus disaster?" Icharus gave Marcus a stunning intimidating glance, "Yes well, sufficid to say, something with this much energy could potentially tripple our economy and our empire, however, we need your permission before we continue, this force could also potentially tear our nation apart."
