*Camera fades in on Roger Philbrick, lead anchor for RNA Nightly News*

"Good evening, Royal New Atlantis, and here's what's making news.

Our top story this evening: Thousands gathered in attendance of a ceremonius 'seizing of land' as a battalion of troops from the nation of Mer de Ennuis, who had recently agreed to open diplomatic negotiations with RNA and who has now become RNA's newest ally, began a ceremony common to their nation when constructing a new embassy.

Chancellor Zebidar's SAUDAKAR phalanx of the RNA National Defense Forces kept a respectful yet wary eye on the foreign troops as they commenced with their ceremony. No incidents were reported as the ceremony went off without a hitch.

No word yet from Mer de Ennuis as to when the actual construction of their embassy will begin. Chancellor Zebidar has extended an invitation to the de facto leader of Mer de Ennuis, General Adam Wincety, to attend a ceremony marking this alliance and a treaty signing. General Wincety will arrive at the end of the week, escorted by the most impressive Mer de Ennuis fleet, which will perform a ceremonial docking, sure to be an awesome spectacle.

At approximately 3:42 pm the televisions of Royal New Atlantis and Landsalar citizens go to snowy fuzz, only to be replaced by the face of Landsalar Dictator Ekin Volshwa who is sitting behind a desk with a plethora of nude Forest Nymphs surrounding him. Some wave palm branches over his head to cool him off, and others simply vanish beneath the desk, out of sight for the moment.

Volshwa: "Citizens of Royal New Atlantis - I am Ekin Volshwa of Landsalar, your dominant Nation of the Region, and supreme ruler of all that is known by you!"

The camera pans out a bit, to show a shot of the room, a very elaborate, and costly-looking place, well known to be inside a gargantuan Palace where the Dictator resides daily. Men in military uniforms stand at each doorway carrying fully automatic weaponry.

Volshwa: "It has come to my attention - as does EVERYTHING in due time - that your leader has declared an opening of Diplomatic relations with other Nations outside out Region. This both disturbs and appalls me. If this unsanctioned Diplomacy continues, I will be FORCED to take drastic measures by seizing control of Royal New Atlantis personally, and bringing it back to the standards that are set down in our Regional motto; Life is a priviledge, not a Right - if you don't like it, start swimming, vato!"

The feed cuts out, and the screens across both Nations go to fuzz again, before cutting back to regularly scheduled programming.

WE INTERRUPT THIS BROADCAST OF "ROYAL NEW ATLANTIS UNCOVERED" TO BRING YOU AN EMERGENCY MESSAGE FROM THE MOST HIGH CHANCELLOR.

*Camera fades in on Most High Chancellor Franklin Zebidar's plush office, where he is seated behind a rich mahogany desk...*

My fellow New Atlanteans:

Royal New Atlantis has always, since its' inception, enjoyed a friendly, peacable relationship with its' neighbors to the west, Landsalar. The shared ideologies between our two nations has never been in question, never been in doubt.

When I decided to open diplomatic relations in the international community, it was in the best interest of not only our region, but for RNA as well. It is sadly unfortunate that Landsalar has declined to open its' doors to the international community. We are, after all, one race under the same sun. And while RNA's ideologies may differ than the rest of the international community, to maintain an isolationist stance is suicide for all concerned.

So it was with some regret that I was informed of Landsalar's decision to not only isolate themselves form the rest of the world, but to condemn their neighbors, with whom they share ideas AND a region, for doing so.

Dictator Volshwa also saw fit to make a veiled, or rather open, threat to the populace of Royal New Atlantis. While Volshwa may be the terror of his OWN people, let me assure him and the rest of his puppet government that they are NO threat WHATSOEVER to the citizenry of Royal New Atlantis. For Volshwa to think he can simply speak a thing, it does not mean it is automatically called into existence. And his words will not go unpunished.

Royal New Atlantis is a peaceful nation. To that end, I have ordered, and ask the international community to join me, diplomatic sanctions against the Rogue Nation of Landsalar, and as the UN delegate for our region, hereby ask the Security Council of the United Nations to publically condemn Dictator Volshwa's actions.

To quote another famous leader of an island nation, "We shall defend our islands, whatever the cost may be".
