Zaïre Actualites
"Good evening, fellow citizens, and welcome to today's edition of Zaïre Actualites. Today, our Founding President and Messiah, Citizen Mobutu Sese Seko, announced that Zairian military scientists have successfully tested an atomic bomb, making Zaire the only nation in Africa to have in its possession nuclear weapons since South Africa disbanded its own nuclear program over 15 years ago. "Never again will the seditious agents of Zaire's would-be usurpers threaten the liberty of our people," he said. "Today, we are stronger than ever. Today, we have both the will, the fortitude, and above all, the means to ensure the endurance and survival of our Fatherland!" When asked by correspondents if any foreign nations were participants in the nuclear program, President Mobutu declined to reply."

Leocardia is willing to offer thousands of nuclear scientists from the Hugo Power Plant in Leocardia, which is currently powering two cities with a population of 44 million. With these scientists, they will teach your scientists how to control nuclear atoms, preventing meltdowns or other environmental hazards. Our cause in this is to spread the likeness and influential parts of Communism.
The ideology is not to ruin and make everyone poor, but to create a classless society, everyone is equal and therefore no one should be stealing from each other, preventing robbery crimes.
The government of the PDSRA expresses its measured concern at this announcement. We are not, at this time, certain why the Republic of Zaire believes it has any need for nuclear weaponry.
We are also concerned that the money invested into this technology may have been put to better use addressing the humanitarian situation in Zaire.

Official comment from the Government of The Socialist Kingdom of Kopparbergs
We are glad that Africa, and Zaire in particular, is far away from The Socialist Kingdom of Kopparbergs (OOC: located in the northern Europe). Our policy is to only use nuclear technology as a power source, never as a weapon to kill thousand of people, hence we're condemning every possession of nuclear weapons.
We hope you keep the nukes inside your borders. For ever.

We are slightly worried about this. While we realise that it is a nation's choice whether or not the country has nuclear weapons, not some international organisation's such as the UN, we would ask the they are not used as a first-strike. We would recommend that you only use these weapons to defend your country from countries that attack your country, and the evils of communism.

Z Division, Atopian Intelligence Agency:
Colonel Yevgeny groaned, and buried his head in his arms. The report on the desk in front of him was so boring. He sighed, sat back, and picked up the papers again. Carefully, and with great ceremony, he dumped them in the 'out' tray, which he'd renamed the 'I Don't Give A Shit' tray.
Stretching, he stood up, strode to his door, and yanked it open.
"Clara," he bellowed, "get in here!"
"Yes sir," his secretary replied, "should I bring the latest reports?"
"Fuck no! I've all the reports I could ask for. Just get in here, OK?"
"Sir."
Official Atopian Foreign Ministry Response to Zairean Announcement:
Congratulations. Try not to use them in a coup, they're much deadlier than AK-47s.

Honoré Ngbanda, an enigmatic, sinister, ingenious mind who headed Zaire's own gestapo, the National Service for Intelligence and Protection, scowled when he read the comment by an anonymous Silver Skyian official. "I want this person's family members located, taken, killed, and delivered to him or her, piece by piece," he rasped, his eyes glowering behind his spectacles.
"Sir, there is one problem. We do not know who this person is."
"Damn it! So much for that idea..."

To President Mobutu Sese Seko:
Eurasia welcomes the presence of another nuclear power. In the opinion of this government, a nuclear world can contribute to global security. I am prepared to transfer two hundred Peacekeeper ICBMs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGM-118A_Peacekeeper) along with five hundred Minuteman III nuclear missiles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGM-30_Minuteman). All we ask in return is the ability for Eurasian inspectors to perform biannual checks to ensure safety and compliance with international law.

Sir Phillip J. Sinclair
