Invitation to United Kingdom2

British Londinium

Sandringham Palace
1318 hrs

With the spectre of a summer storm creeping over Victoria, Sir Phillip Sinclair (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Sir_Phillip_Sinclair), the Eurasian prime minister, coldly strode through the halls of Sandringham Palace, each step performed with military precision. His frigid face, hard as granite, betrayed no emotion at all - as usual.

Her Majesty Queen Hemali IX (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Queen_Hemali_IX) swept down the marble staircase, her ermine robes flowing behind her.

"My good Phillip!" she called warmly. "Why, it's a pleasure to see you again."

Sir Phillip sighed. It wasn't that he minded his weekly visit to the Sovereign, but he detested her infectious warmth and kindness.

"Your Majesty, need I remind you that I am not here on any social occasion? I am here only to brief you on affairs of state and provide you with new military authorization codes," stated Sir Phillip brusquely. "Your warmth in this situation is illogical."

"I say, Phillip, that ever since you underwent that mental training thing - what was that called again? - you've been quite the...'Debby Downer.'" replied the Queen, exacerbated at the Prime Minister's emotionlessness.

"The Kohlinar, Your Majesty," replied Sir Phillip. "A ceremony created by the Roman generals of old to purge all emotions from the body, to repress them in the most severe manner, making them almost unaccessable. And it is necessary to preserve the security of Eurasia. It allows me to have clearer judgements."

"Whatever you say," laughed the Queen. "Now, I had the most grand idea. I was thinking that we invite that Queen Elizabeth III - you know, from the United Kingdom2 - to tour our country."

Blue and red lights illuminated the runway as Queen Elizabeth's aircraft taxied towards the terminal.

"Agent Seven to Agent Six," radioed one of the numerous SIS agents assigned to protect the foreign Sovereign and the Prime Minister. "Snipers in position. Area secure, over."

Sir Phillip strode purposefully towards the gate as Security Service personnel cordoned off the area, restraining civilians and any possible threat to the queen. After all, it would be most unfortunate for her to die in Eurasia - bad publicity.

He noticed a woman searching the crowds for somebody, but upon second examination, it was Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth III. He turned his almost-martial stride to her, and politely guided her to an armoured, black Land Rover awaiting outside.

"Your Majesty," Sir Phillip stated placidly. "If you would kindly follow me. I assume you had a pleasant journey, correct?"

Sir Phillip first sat himself comfortably in the Land Rover - it was a fortress against the almost unbearable heat of the outdoors. Taking a deep breath, he replied to Queen Elizabeth III.

"Excellent question, Your Majesty," replied Sir Phillip. "Our first stop will be Kensington Palace, the residence of the Prime Minister, and a focal point for many historical incidents in Eurasian history. Along the way, we will be passing through the downtown area, which includes Maddox Stadium, EBG Headquarters, along with a number of museums, shops, and cultural experiences. If you'd like to stop anywhere along they way, just ask."

"Ok Sir Phillip".Elizabeth took out a piece of gum and drank some of her bottled water."So Sir Phillip does Queen Hemali have any children or is she married, because i have looked in biography and it hasn't stated if she was."

Sir Phillip reclined in his seat, musing over the proper way to respond to her query.

"Interesting you ask that. You see, she's only twenty-seven; the throne was thrust upon her rather unexpectedly," Sir Phillip pointed out. "Her father, King Iago III, died as a volcano exploded as his aircraft flew over it. She has though, expressed a desire to become betrothed to...myself. Which presents some problems."

Changing the subject, Sir Phillip added, "Anyways, if you'd look out the right window, you'll see Maddox Stadium, home of Kensington United, the best football team in Eurasia."

"Queen Elizabeth II of the ancient United Kingdom?" replied Sir Phillip. "Interesting. She was a great leader, if I remember my history correctly. And, since you mention it, I'm glad you've heard of them; we're trying to expand our soft power base, and a key instrument of that is sport - we've recently created a Eurasian national football team to play in the next World Cup. Would you care to visit the grounds?"

"yes she was a great leader", "I would love to see the grounds". elizabeth zipped up her coat and got ready to get out the car to see the football fields.Elizabeth took out a piece of gum and asked if Sir Phillip he wanted one.

"Thank you, Your Majesty," stated Sir Phillip. "But I must decline - I am still early in my completion of the Kohlinar, and another distraction, however pleasurable, must be declined."

The Land Rover pulled into the stadium, where the Eurasian football team was practicising for the next World Cup, the loudspeakers resonating throughout the stands.

And another brilliant save by Babikian! And now its gone to Wilson, and a brilliant pass to Yossarian...and score! 1-0, with the Eurasian national team in the lead over the Victorians. And the Victorian goalkeeper kicks the ball...

"I'm told they're quite skilled," commented Sir Phillip, emotionlessly.
