OOC: This is going to be sort of funny since my starships use ISS instead of USS. BTW, this is thread is a part of my series of threads pertaining to the Enterprise and her 5 year mission to boldly go where no man has gone before.
IC
"Captain's Log, Stardate 5724.5," began Kirk as he recorded his log while he sat alone in the conference room. "We are in standard orbit of the Halkan Homeworld. We have now spent 3 years away from home on our mission. Our passing scans of the planet revealed Dilithium deposits. Upon reporting this to Starfleet, we were ordered to seek out trade negotiations with the Halkan Council.
"There are ion storms in the area so we will have limited time on the surface before we have to beam back to the Enterprsie. Scotty, Uhura, and Bones have all agreed to accompany me down to the planet. Computer, end log."
Kirk got up from his table and keyed the comm switch. "Have Uhura, Scotty, and Bones meet me in Transporter Room 1," he ordered. Kirk then went down the hall to the turbolift, which took him to his destination.
Chief Kyle stood at the controls in a red shirt and beamed the 4 officers down the surface. Kirk met with the Halkan Council and tried to open negotiations for the Dilithium Crystals.
The Halkans were true pacifist and were fearful that their crystals could one day be used to wage war. Kirk tried to assure them that IDF was a peaceful power that never intended to make wars of aggression. The meeting was being forced to an early close due to the fact the ion storms would make transport impossible soon.
The head of the Halkan Council decided to speak. He continued to state that he feared IDF may mis-use the Dilithium.
Another member rose and stated, "You do have the might to force the crystals from us."
"But we won't," responded Kirk. "Consider that."
Kirk and his party departed. "Enterprise, 4 to beam up." The ion storm had gotten worse. Kirk and his party felt that they were on their own Enterprise. Then something happened while still in transport.
They materialized in what was obviously a Constitution class vessel's transporter room, but something was odd.
"Did you feel that?" asked Uhura after materializing. All others nodded. The transporter chief was Chief Kyle, the same man who was on their Enterprsie, but something was odd. He wore a different uniform with cut off sleeves. The patch he wore was also different. The Starfleet Delta had been replaced by an image of earth with a sword going through it.
Spock was present, but he wasn't the Spock that Kirk knew. For one thing, he had a goatee. "Mr. Kyle, you allowed the transporter beam to wobble!" he remarked.
Kirk was shocked by this display. The Spock he knew would never yell out in anger. There was emotion present within this Spock.
"I didn't mean it Sir," he responded. "It was the ion storms! Show mercy Sir!"
"Hand me your agonizer Kyle," ordered Spock.
Kyle continued to plea as Spock used the agonizer to torture the young transporter chief. Uhura, Scotty, Bones, and Kirk were stunned by the display.
This wasn't their universe. Something had happened to them during transport.

((OOC: lol nice, I take it you are playing out the actual episode from Star Trek. I would love to join you but I do not know how to enter this thread, based on the confines of the particular episode you are talking about. Any ideas on how to join would be greatly appreicated :) ))
OOC: This will go differently. Perhaps you can RP another Terran Empire vessel that comes because Kirk refuses to destroy Halkan.

OOC: With my debatable FTL method, I can come up with an excuse why a Solari ship is in the Mirror Universe. Would that be an acceptable state of affairs to allow me involvement?

Whoo!
IC:
It was an established fact among the Solari that they had no idea how their FTL system actually operated. Just that it got them from point A to point B really F-ing fast. As a result, when the odd ship or two dozen disappeared, no one took much notice. Unless it happened to be an experimental Superdeadnought. Then people took notice. Unfortunately, it was much too late to do anything. Before anyone knew what was wrong, the Solari Superdreadnought Stranger in a Strange Land, had become its namesake. Stranded by a twist of fate, several errors in programming, and an irrepetable series of coincidences, in a universe not its own. Along with a pair of Fleet Carriers, and a pair of Battlecruisers, all experimental advancements on the WRATHCHILD line.
What the hell was that?
Did anybody get the plates on that truck?
You gotta be shittin me!
Is it morning yet? Is it even today anymore? Or tomorrow fr that matter?
All rather pertinent questions, more important though...
More important though, is where the fuck are we? Andy why are we several centuries ago?
Well.. I don't know honestly...
Vast quantities of illegal drugs.
I thought it was because you were gay last week...
Shut it.
For several hours the 5 capitol hips argued amongst themselves, oblivious to their surroundings...

Might I bring in one of my vessels, a Battlestar as well. I could state that the new "jump" drive had some sort of fluk in it. If that is alright with you. It will just be a new class more like a battleship with more cannons, and missle turrets and flak cannons, and a heavier nuclear armament, but fewer Viper and raptor loads, and about two times larger than a Mercury Class. Also my ships do not possess shielding, just very heavy armor.

Above the colony Picis, at the Hercules Shipyard, one of the most magnificent Battlestars ever constructed begins to depart, the BSG Ares. Little did the crew of over 5000 know but the name would be very fitting, and soon.
This ship fired up it's massive 9 sub light engines and came out of the spaceport. The crew onboard the shipyard cheered as this new symbol ofthe Colonial Military left the dock. With the recent report that the colonial fleet found extra terrestial's this new Battlestar would hopefully be enough to prevent any incursion in to their space.
The ship was more heavily armed than any other battlestar with 36 Main cannon batteries, 3 FTL drives, 800 heavy flak auto cannons, 48 Nuclear Strike tubes, and 30 Ship to Ship missle turrets, and had the standard two flight pods, while holding 3 squadrons of vipers and 2 squadrons of Raptors. The main common feature on all battlestars is they do not utilize linked or networked computers unless in dire circumstances. They can be quickly networked if need be but as a standard rule they are "unplugged". This ship also had the more common utility of being able to manufacture ammunition and had a small factory on board to build vipers and raptors, as long as there are materials on board.
The ship began it's historical jump, further than any other battlestar with the new navigational computer to the Armistice line, to scan and make sure the cylons would not cross the line after the intial chaos that followed the discovery of extra terrestial beings. The Ship jumped, and when it reappeared, their computer miscaculated. The ship began to scan the area trying to find their bearings when they came across a small ship orbiting the planet.
Action stations were immediatly called, and the ship began to prepare it's vipers for combat. This has been the standard protocol since meeting the borg.
The Ares begins to send out a communication to the unknown vessel (audio only): This is the Colonial Ship Ares to the unknown vessel. State your purpose for being in the area, and your intentions. end transmission (OOC: again my ships do not have universal translators since no "alien" has ever bothered to talk to them, or aid them with this basic technology. My crew also has no idea they jumped into an alternate universe as they do not have any means of being able to detect that.)
Our universe, ISS Enterprise NCC-22
Chief Kyle summoned security teams as soon as he saw the 4 members from the Mirror Universe appear. He had no idea where they were from, but he knew they weren't the same four people he had beamed down.
Spock went down with the security teams to see for himself what was happening.
The four arrivals were very confused. Spock could see that while this man appeared to be James T. Kirk, he wore a slightly different uniform and was much more violent than the Kirk he knew.
Spock turned to Checkov, who was leading the security teams. "Have your men bring these 4 to the brig."
Checkov passed the order to his men, who then carried it out. "Vat happened to the Keptin and the west of them?"
"I have theorized that these 4 visitors are from a a parallel universe," began Spock. "The ion storm likely caused a transporter mishap. I would assume that Kirk and the others are aboard this ship's counterpart in that universe. Probably trying to asertain what is happening around them."

Mirror Universe, USS Enterprise, NCC-22
Kirk took Uhura, Scotty, and Bones were led into the conference room. He noted that every man who he passed in the corridors would salute him as if he were a Roman Emperor. Kirk caught the gist and would salute back in order to avoid drawing suspician.
Kirk was followed by guards everywhere he went. He noted Spock was also given personal guards. Kirk had his guards posted outside the door. No suspicion was drawn as it was assumed he was discussing what occurred on Halkan with the talks.
There was confusion over what had happened. After debating a while, they did reach the conclusion that the ion storm led to them being transported to a parallel universe. There was no official records of one existing, but Kirk had heard stories of Captain Jonathan Archer being sent to one over a century before him. Starfleet had suppressed this story, but some rumors still remained.
Kirk ordered Uhura to go check the communications records of the ship in order to learn what Kirk's orders were. This would make Kirk's job easier.
Scotty and McCoy were ordered to find a way to modify the transporters in order to get back to their own universe.

The commander of the Ares began to get a little nervous about the new ship. The ship had not responded to any communication attempts. The Areas began to pull along side the unknwon vessel. THe unknown vessel was dwarfed by the size of the ares, but as they recently learned this ship may have a few surprises. The Ares signals the unknown ship: This is the Colonial Battlestar Ares. Please respond.
Out of the port flight pod one raptor which is unarmed flies out of the flight pod, and begins to scan the "Enterprise".
Major Dickson on board the Ares: Sir a fleet of unknown vessels have jsut appeared in the sector. It's configuration is different from the ship orbiting the planet.
Commander Scott: Great just what we needed, maintain condition one, and send a message to the unknown fleet: This is the Battlestar Ares to the unknown fleet. What is your purpose in this area, please respond. Major Dickson prepare a strategy in case these aliens become hostile.
Major Dickson: Yes sir, Lt. give me all the tactical Information we have on the vessels. Launch a Raptor to scan these ships.
Lt. Kalli: Yes sir.
Another unarmed Raptor is heading to the unknown fleet.

TIS Streaker, that workhorse of the Incognitian Fleet, Kimon Station, Exploration Command, was on duty in a new sector...seemed just like any other.
A little smaller than the Enterprise, Streaker was a long cylinder, with flanges around her sides. She was getting old now, but had recently completed a refit.
Her Commander, John Sharples, was in his cabin; his XO Karaina, a 'fin, was on the bridge, when...
"Ma'am, we have an unidentified contact on the forward sensors. Appears to be a spacecraft orbiting the terrestrial planet there."
"Local?"
"Unknown, though we've seen no signs of sufficient industry to build starships."
"Keep me updated."
A few minutes later:
"Definitely a spacecraft. Still operational, and we think crewed, but not going anywhere, and we're almost certain it's not local."
"Very well. Our duty is clear; we must offer assistance."
"Shouldn't we inform the Captain, ma'am?"
"Not in a situation this clear-cut, no. Please send a message to this vessel."
To: Unknown vessel
From: TIS Streaker
Are you in any distress? Can we assist you in any way? Unless we're very much mistaken, this is a long way to be from home...

Aboard the USS Enterprise, Uhura was responding to the various communications coming in. She sent out a generic message to each ship stating that the Enterprise was surveying the Halkan planet and opening up a dialogue with the Halkan Council. It wasn't a lie afterall.
She quickly got back to her work and looked over the coded messages from the Terran Empire's Starfleet Command. The standing orders were to destroy large cities on Halkan in 12 hours if they didn't give in to the demands for Dilithium.
As she got up from her seat to summon Kirk, Sulu got up and grabbed her arm. The Sulu in this universe had a long jagged scar across his face. He made a move on her, but Uhura resisted and slapped Sulu.
--------------------------------------------
Kirk sat quietly in the conference room reading over reports. He would've done it in his quarters, but the Captain's Woman was in there and he didn't want to draw suspicion. Uhura had come down to the room just 10 minutes before and reported what his orders were. Kirk knew he couldn't follow through with them.
He knew that disobeying his orders would draw suspicion. There had to be a way he thought. The Kirk from this universe wasn't anything like himself. He had gained control of the Enterprise by assassinating Captain Pike. He had learned about the genocide he had committed on other worlds. 'No, I can't do this,' Kirk said to himself. Hopefully Scotty and McCoy would find a way,
-------------------------------------------
The fact that the transporters had issues during the Ion Storms was enough justification for Scotty to perform "maintenance" on them. He was actually trying to modify it to get them back to their own universe.
McCoy was trying to help him, but he was doing a miserable job. "Damnit, I'm a Doctor not an engineer," he explained.
"You're an engineer now laddie," responded Scotty.
