With the alarming rise of militant, socialist powers in the world, the United States of Shalrirorchia has opted to convene a symposium of the world's leading capitalist democracies in order to discuss economic and defense policies as well as the containment of the socialist threat. The symposium shall be held in the U.S.S. capital city of Shalcoria, and is an open meeting.

Greetings!

While we find it noble and admirable that the free, democratic states of the world are more than willing to make a stand against the forces of militance, dictatorship, and socialism, we are slightly confused at the Shalrirorchian declaration that there has been an "alarming rise" in the number of militant, socialist powers lately.

In fact, most of the world's major powers -- all of the Alliance for the Preservation of Civilisation and the Sovereign League, the vast majority of Gholgoth, the diplomatic 'Big Three', as well as unaligned powers such as Sarzonia and the Golden Throne -- are capitalist states, with relative degrees of political and social freedom. Even the last socialist holdouts in such nations as Chellis are yielding to reform.

Thus, we do not understand the cause for alarm. The only militarist socialist nations appear to be extremists, radicals, and other fringe groups that have little bearing on how international politics actually work.

With all due respect, these radical fringe nations are well-armed and militant in their ideology. Perhaps we should seriously consider the level of threat that they can pose to the free world. Then there are nations such as Hataria who seem bent on pure chaos and destruction. They too are to be reckoned with.
