For Freedom! (Colony Suceeding, ATTN Amazonian Beasts)

The sky burned red with fire and blood, and it was only midday. While millions were out on the streets, their cry was the same:

"Complete Independence! Liberty Now!"

The small Three-Island colony of Nova Atlantica (belonging to Amazonian Beasts), population of about 40 million, grew tired of the oppression of the terrible Empire they belonged to. Their Governor, Adamo De Mancini, declared the small island territory of about 110,000 Square Miles independant earlier that day.

Millions had surrounded the bases there. The people were still waiting to hear an Atlantian response...

The Emperor smiled as the sun set over the hills outside of the capital city, the river delta expanding into the nation's dividing strait rushing ever vibrantly. Red and yellow hues exploded across the skyline, painting a vivd masterpiece of natural dye across the blue canvas of sky. The sun, like a hot ember, burnt fiery red, slowly descending in the temperate air.

"They can deal with their own problems."

The emperor spoke with a calm, collected voice-one level, yet with an undertone of evil and darkness.

"But my Lord," his junior aide pleaded, "the colony declared independence from your rightful rule! Surely we should reign them back in...with force?"

Emperor Droma smiled. "We will let the commander of the colony's military front see if he can handle the issue. He shall recieve no Dominion reinforcements. If he can utilize what he has, then he will recieve living as his reward. If he fails, then he meets justifiable death-and the colony can prove it deserves independence."
"My Lord..."
"My word is law...surely you don't question that?" came the following inquiry from the Emperor, a cruel tone underlininges the threatening motion.
"Of course not My Lord...I just suggest that we hold our positions so no other colonies of ours get uppity ideas..."
"We can ensure they do not. But General Fellworth is younger and less experienced. Let's see if he deserved that promotion, shall we? If he can handle this, than so. If not, he will die a deserving death, as shall all the other failiures of the colonial installation there."
"Yes my Lord...I shall convey your message."
"Very good."

The aide walked from the room, trembling, shutting the door behind him. The Emperor smiled, gazing back outside on the illuminated sky...confident that he had made the correct call. He always did. Fellworth probaly couldn't hold the colony under Amazonian rule-but he had fallen short several times of Droma's expectations, and the Emperor felt that the general deserved nothing less than death at the hands of an unruly crowd of revolutionaries. His understaffed forces would meet similar grisly fates-a golden token to serve for all his other underperforming commanders throughout the Dominion's vast military for years.
Who knows, the Emperor himself may support these revolutionaries...

Nova Atlantia
Installation 43

Installation 43 was central command for Nova Atlantia's military hub, a vibrant community of intelligence, command, and force all at once. The decision of the Emperor had not, obviously, been conveyed to the Amazonian forces of Nova Atlantia, and the colony's military commander, General Ricardo Fellworth, decided to do exactly what the Emperor thought he would do-attempt to put down the independence call with the underprepared military force he had.

As civilians by the millions gathered around the perimeter of the Installation, Fellworth went to the base's directed intercomm channel. Having already ensured the naval port, Installation N61, was not being surrounded by civilians-for now, he had ordered the naval port, only a small naval installation, to lock down and go to Alert status-he ordered similar features on his own base, ordered for hanger systems to come online and ground forces to be prepared, then began on the intercomm, to broadcast to the millions around.

"This independence call is hereby pronounced a rebellion. Those who shall not immediately return to their homes shall be pronounced traitors to the Dominion and will be killed. Those who comply with orders will not be executed."

With this, the base's defense systems came online. Machine gun nests-position outwards from the base at inlets, bunkered through barbed wire and concrete-spat warning shots above the heads of the crowd. Several APCs had sunk behind camoflauge areas, ready to pounce should the crowd not be swayed by this show of force.

Fort Triuox
Amazonian Dominion, Mainland

Fort Triuox was an old military base for the Amazonian army, established back in the days of the failing democratic Federation. It was now home to the elite of the military-the Shock Troopers. These warriors were not the best the Dominion had to offer-the Sovereign Guards were-they were the best standard unit of the military, unparrelled in skills, training, and aptitude.
The day was calm for the elites-Sunday was their day off, usually-but they had been called now, 6PM, to assemble, casual, in the debriefing room.
The leader of the Shock Troopers, Colonel Thomas Kaine, was on of the elite unit himself. The only difference was he gave orders, along with carrying them out, and was just as strong, smart, and fast as all the others. He now stood before them, on a projected map of Nova Atlantia-a place that none of the assembled, besides himself, knew of. The Shock Troopers were bred for war, trained since age 4, and kept to the secrets of the Dominion. They interacted with others, but did not know of all the world's issues.
And they were also sworn to secrecy, through pain, death, torture-whatever-through extreme loyalty-near fanatacism.
So when Kaine spoke now, the only one aware of the true meaning, he was confident not only that the troop wouldn't know of the situation, but that the decision called, from the Emperor himself, was in the complete right.

"Listen up," he growled, his low, dark, vibrating voice cutting through the moist, humid air of the country, "we have an unconfirmed assignment, pending additional information. This comes from the Emperor himself-no questions. Should the call to go come about, we are to drop in three different sections of this area, one segment o each island,"-three bulges of light appeared on the map, one on each island, as the Colonel spoke-"and support some sort of insurgent movement. This is all temporary, and assuming the order comes in to go-this is not a definite yet. If it becomes so, I'll have a more detailed report."

The troop saluted before leaving. Kaine had the complete details already on the operation, should it be required. The Emperor had already decided one thing, should a revolution break out on Nova Atlantia-General Fellworth would serve as an example for his failiure. It would be up to the Shock Troopers-undefeated in combat-to "help out" the insurgents a bit in their mission.

The Emperor and Prime Minister looked over the file together. "I think it's obvious what we need to do." the Emperor told the Prime Minister.

"Yes. I'll get someone to get permission from Amazonian Beasts. Until then we'll get the submarines there, begin stealth bombing, and tell Unspecified Services to start infiltration. You tell the rest of the military to prepare for invasion." Prime Minister Bellcrest responded.

*Mobilization*

People from the Imperial Colonies, the Empire Prime, and Imperial Dominions were going on tourist trips to Nova Atlantica. Nothing new, as the members of the Empire loved to visit foreign nations. However, these were not your average tourists. The had supplies, hidden secretly to avoid all but the most advanced detection systems, to help destroy the rebellion from the inside out. They came by plane and boat.

Submarines slowly started trickling in towards the island, from small uninhabited islands, the Empire Prime, and the Imperial Dominions.

Also, stealth bombers were being secretly trasported to secret bases in the Atlantic, not formally owned by anyone at all.

Having noted the rebellion of your colony, Nova Atlantica, we wish to offer you a deal. We will smash this rebellion and make the foolish Nova Atlanticans never rebel again, and provide you with helpful supplies. In return, we get a quarter of the island. Do we have a deal?

The Emperor smiled when he recieved world from the Vontanans. They were offering to try to quash the insurgency, would they? Well...it was time to flex a little bit of military muscle...and engage in Droma's favorite pasttime: Political Betrayl.

"Send them back a courteous message," ordered the Emperor. "Tell them we will accept their aid."
"It will be done, my Lord," his aide responded, finally feeling that the Emperor was feeling normal again.

In truth, he had much darker, more sinister thoughts...weaving a web of deciept that all concentrated in Nova Atlantia.

OOC: Let's not make this to big. You can invade the Imperial Colony of Novatica (once I get it), but I don't want a large scale war.

IC:

Unspecified Service "tourists" continued on their way to Nova Atlantica, the planes mere minutes from arriving at the airports, the ships a good half an hour a way. The submarines had started sinking vessels leaving Nova Atlantica (fishing boats and trading boats for now). The main navy (battle ships, frigates, and carriers) were making a big show of making their way towards Nova Atlantica.

However, most importantly was the huge air raid coming towards Nova Atlantica. Stealth bombers coming in from the south, unescorted, and non-stealth bombers and their escorts coming from the north. Both waves were only aiming at rebel locations and not the colonial garrison.

The rebellion will fall. Your government has authorized our entry into this conflict to kill the rebels. In return, we get the western half of the island. We request you pull your troops out of there, and prepare your soldiers to get bombed. We have ordered a massive air raid that will crush rebel moral, but it is possible your soldiers might get hit. With your cooperation, this war will be over soon.

Need to know a few things before we continue...

First and foremost... how lenient will you be with equipment? Basic molotov cocktails, state-of-the-art army weapons, airforce, etc.

Also, flying into the islands wouldn't be pleasant- I assume they'd shoot down or kill/extensively search/hold hostage any passengers on any foreign plane.

OOC: I wouln't be very lenient with technology. The military will have all of the major stuff. You'll have what the civilians can get. Definitly not anti aircraft tech. The air raid is likely to smash the official rebellion, followed by an official surrender, followed by combat in an unofficial rebellion.

OOC: Smash the official rebellion? Don't get too assured of your plans...;)
It won't be too full-fledged combat...that is, assuming you don't make it so. I have no plans on going any farther than the islands (your territory is totally safe from me). This is just called shock and awe to kick off a bang and startle your chain of command.
It'll make a great ground storyline once the ground fighting begins too.
You can call my next action likely the worst of it ;) Also, you'll get the full support of the Nova Atlantia-stationed Amazonians as well-who also have fighters (hint, hint, Laquasa).
Also, about what the civilians would have-they could potentially have anti-air, but it'd be VERY limited-basic shoulder SAM launchers (similar to the Afghani weaponry).

Open Ocean
Waters Between Amazonia and Nova Atlantia

It was dark as the night soared in. Non-stealth bombers; granted, with escorts, had been picked up from the North of the island group. What fleets that had been deployed were ready-the Emperor had proved as much so when he had deployed the order to move as soon as the Vetakan message had come in.
The decks of three aircraft carriers were vibrant with activity as Rafael Ks lined the black decks of the ACB Fire and Fury, ACB Wrath of Heart, and ACB Yearn of War. The advanced fighters were decked of all new avionics systems, medium, long, and short-range air-to-air missiles equipped on their wing and underslung weapon hardpoints. Each also carried one external fuel tank and an ECM jammer pod for additional security-but the AAM weaponry should be enough for the mission.
The Rafael-Ks themselves had a small radar profile. Based from the older F-22 models, the slanted body design, reflecting radar off odd angles, was popular, and the Rafaels used a similar technique. However, the utilized external hardpoints and pylons-a use that somewhat made them visable, but would still show up as a smaller group that would actually be the case-a squadron, rather than a wing, for an example.
Fuel lines disconnected from fighters as the cruisers and frigates of the fleet continued to lead the naval group along the dark, sloshing waters. The dark night would be the Amazonians's friend this hour. Planes began moving to flight launch lines, final preparations being made.

"Clear for takeoff, all wings," reported flight command across the three carriers-seventy-two fighters preparing to launch from the carriers.

Each carried thirty-six of the Rafael-Ks; however, only twenty-four (two squadrons) from each would go tonight, to make a full wing deploying total. Their mission: intercept the bombers from the North. The high-altitude Rafael K fighters were great versatile superiority fighters-fast, agile, and armed to the teeth. As the fighters would move towards the islands to pick off the bombers, the naval flotilla would continue moving to a position outside of the island chain. They would pick up any stragglers that drifted too far south of the islands-and their SAMs had a nice range. It would be seen if the bombers could outrun the missiles.
Submarines cruised below the triple CVBG, patrolling for undersea threats below the supply ship, tanker, and carriers at the center of the fleet. The frigates and cruisers on the outside were tough, and the destroyers guarding the carriers closer in were tough as well. The thing that set the Amazonians apart were they had no dreadnoughts with this fleet-for good measure. While the smaller ships presented a smaller profile, Amazonian dreadnoughts were abrupt-you saw them coming from a long way away. Therefore, the issue had gone not to bring any of the massive gun ships.
From the carrier decks, the wing began moving out in a blast, as the afterburners of fighters blared violet, shooting the Rafael Ks off the docks with a bang. The wing was out within ten minutes, fuel looking good, as they quickly shot high into the sky, using their engines to blast into high altitudes, something the Rafael Ks had been designed to do. They had a strategy-and should the escorts somehow pick them up before they got to the attack zone, they were ready. They were pilots.

"Well, the rebels couldn't get this kind of tech with out foreign aid. I suspect Eurasia, but no point pointing fingers. We were in this for an easy win and great rewards. Parliament say we need to pull out. Do we have your approval?" questioned the Prime Minister.

"Yes. However, offer the rebels protectorate status." the Emperor responded.

In Nova Atlantica, all of the military left. No attacks were made, and damage to the northern bombers was minimal.

Official Announcment:

To Amazonian Beasts: We are afraid we must pull out of the Nova Atlantican conflict.

To Rebel Government: We offer you Imperial Protectorate status. You will have the protection of the Democratic Empire, and in return you will have to pay five percent of your total government tax money. Seeing as how you most likely don't spend all of this money, this will not be cumbersome.
