Democratic Empire to play host to Bilateral Talks (Closed)

Willink

Open letter to Gholgoth Officials

These are turbulent times. Although this may seem unimportant, or rather minuscule, such a state of events is common in a world of offensive realism. Massive wars are raging across this planet daily, thousands die, unnumerable lives are ruined and displaced, and children scared for life. Although this may seem rather grim, such events are common in such a ataxian world.

It is no secret that there is distrust and misunderstanding between the Sovereign League and Gholgoth, both organizations of massive influence, hyperpowers, and widespread military dominance. With such massive force at hand, it is essential that understanding is made between said groups, and the recent events surrounding Sovereign League actions have made the such paramount.

With such, The Democratic Empire would like to extend a hand of friendship of sorts, and cordially
invite members of Gholgoth to a conference of bilateral talks, to take place within the Willinkian Capital of Salisbury. The effort of said talks will promote cultural and economic exchange, improve relations, and clear up the current shroud of misunderstanding surrounding Gholgoth-Sovereign League relations.

The aforementioned talks will be held over a three-day period, with provisions being made for those who choose to attend.

Reply from the Office of Chairwoman Erika Kars
As a nation of Gholgoth, Illior would be happy to send a representative to the conference put forth by the Government of Willink. As such, a representative shall arrive within the next day or two after being Briefed and prepared for these talks.

The Crown Prince himself, along with the Foreign Minister will attend. Their departure will occur with haste.

The Social Democracy would be more than happy to send a representative to these talks. Although I am currently unable to attend myself, I will be sending my best diplomat, and rest assured he will speak for myself and for the entire nation.

Signed,
Prime Minister Jaime Wolfe

~From the desk of Lord Damien the Destroyer, Supreme Warlord of the Excessively Armed Empire of Automagfreek~

Automagfreek will not be sending a representative to this conference, though we will not discourage other Gholgothians from doing so. We see the Sovereign League as a non-issue; an alliance that is on a lower tier from that of Gholgoth, and therefore bilateral talks are unnecessary. The Excessively Armed Empire will not waste its time nor effort on catering to an alliance of nations who do not so much as register on our radar, and I find your description of the Sovereign League to be overly inflated and not worthy of being compared to Gholgoth.

Having said that, I would like to make it clear that though our government will not be present that regional policy will not be made at this meeting without the consent of Gholgoth as a whole. If these talks are an official offering on behalf of the Sovereign League, then state your terms now and we will consider engaging in discussion. However, if this is not sanctioned by your alliance, then I do not see the use in such a meeting.

Official reply from the Imperial Federation of Atlantis:

I am afraid I must decline in attending this meeting, or sending a representative. Severe recent developments back home have forced us to temporarily pull back our operations on our holdings in Gholgoth, as well as our diplomatic standings (such as they were) with any Terran nations.

To be quite blunt; I have no time for you.

My sincere apologies.

From the Office of the Emperor

I find it utterly amazing that the League still has not gotten it through their skulls... there is no 'mistrust' between our alliances. There is nothing between our alliances. What we have always proposed is very, very simple:

Leave us alone and we will leave you alone.

Yet you persist in this mind-boggling insistance that there is tension between us that needs to be resolved. There is no tension. We, as a whole, do not care about you and have not for some time.

As for 'economic' exchanges, the economy of Gholgoth is among the best in the world and the Crimm economy has balked several times at the suggestion of opening itself up to 'unstable' outside forces, such as your misnamed Soverign League that travels about, disrupting the soverignty of nations you do not agree with.

As others have said, you are simply not worth three days of our lives. I would scarcely give you the three minutes it took to compose this reply.

A Panteran representative will not be attending, but by order of the Lord Reaver the capable diplomats of Haraki will be given opportunity to open a select number of Panteran markets and ports, both in Gholgoth and abroad, to non-aligned nations.

'Improved relations' means very little when our current and past relations are all but nonexistant. The Lord Reaver is quite happy with the current state of affairs and sees no reason to enter into the mire or political maneuvering.
