The room was large and circular. It was illuminated by powerful lights hung behind a long sheet of thin cloth. An uncomfortable, even terrified silence pervaded the cold, thin air. Some men sat defeated along the circular table. Others gathered in groups at the center of the room, kneeling over to pray. Others whimpered and sobbed, but quickly muffled their pitiful noises.

The silence was punctuated by explosions coming from some place far outside the room, but so muffled and distorted were they through the metal walls that they seemed to bring even more silence than that which was already present.

From one part of the wall of the room melted away a door, out of which came a plainly dressed man, who stood out in stark contrast to the others in the room, who all wore red silk robes. This newcomer, too, carried the depressed air about him. He walked over to one of the robed men who had thrust himself to the floor in prayer. The man sprang up as if he had been awaken violently from a deep sleep.

The plainly clothed man mumbled something and left. The other got up and began making his way around the circular table. Although he was upright, his movements would not be called a walk. So pathetic were they that it would be more accurate to say that he crawled.

He bypassed many people and eventually came to another man, who was dressed like everyone else but was seated upon a larger chair. The message was passed on to him, after which he stood.

This movement was immediately noticed by everyone in the room. “Although this may be our darkest hour, my fellow warriors, it need not be our last,” he began, in a tribal language. “I have just received word that the Redivis has been deployed.”

The room erupted with worried voices. There were some shrieks of terror. One person, still deep in prayer, pleaded “Oh Great Gallic, help us!”

The pandemonium quickly subsided, and the standing one continued. “If we continue along the present path, we may live, and we may not. At best, we will die, and at worst, we will be subjugated and become slaves. Now, I have been given the authority to activate the Redivis. I have decided that, unless any of you object, I will activate it now.”

There were several uprisings of dissent among the men in the room, but all were silenced when there was a voluminous explosion, much closer than all the previous ones, and the room began to shake.

“As you can see, they are having no mercy with our brethren. I ask again, does anyone object?”

This time, there was not a word.

“Very well, then. Know that whatever happens, it is the will of the Great Gallic. There is nothing we can do but accept it and move on. If this is the last I will ever see you, know that you have been the greatest brothers to me.”

There were murmurs of agreement, and for the first time in many days the frightened atmosphere was somewhat lifted. Many hugs and words of friendship were exchanged between the men in the room.

The lights in the room were extinguished. And the Redivis was ignited.

---------------------------------------

There was a massive crash as a hole was slashed through spacetime. Gigantic discharges of powerful radiation and energy shot off in every direction. With several flashes, a giant blob of gas and molten slag appeared. There would be sporadic explosions as the gas ignited.

Quickly, though, it was made apparent that something else was in the clod of interstellar flotsam. Ships began to move out. The ships varied greatly in size, but all had a spherical design to them.

Further inspection would reveal that the slag that had been transported with the fleet was actually the remains of other ships that had been destroyed during the great battle from which the fleet had now fled.

Out of the remnants of their old universe, the Uyghurs began traveling into the new.

(OOC: Consider this an FT Intro thread. Yes, I’m normally an MT RPer, but FT looks interesting. I’m not going to be quitting MT, instead I am just going to be splitting my time between the two.

This fleet has absolutely no idea where they just reappeared, so if you want, you can say that they just appeared in your territory, on the outskirts, or wherever. The massive discharge of radiation is sure to attract some attention, however.

Also, while the fleet is fairly massive (it consists of everything the Uyghur’s have), do not be scared away because of this. The people will only attack if attacked, and even then, in the terrified state they are in right now, they will most likely try to flee before resorting to any kind of conflict.)

Deep-space Defense Line Omega T5

"Whoa! Anomoly, cap'n! Voluminous size!"

Admiral Tyforith Inleay was the commander of Defense Line Omega T5, a line of several stations, laser mines, ships, and a Dimensional Rift. It was the outermost of the Amazonian Dominion, and not ever in their space-it was, however, not in anyone else's space either; therefore, the Dominion had claimed it as the outermost perimter of claimed territory, and a perfect locale to set up the defense grid.
The grid was immense, though it wasn't anything particularly invigorating. Unlike defense grids later on into Dominion territory, Omega T5 was rather lightly stationed by vessels, relying more on static defenses. Scattered throughout the system orbiting the massive Blue Giant at the center were giant Tiberian Space Stations, behemoths capable of holding their own against war fleets. Minefields, artificial asteroid nests, cloaked debris fields, and minor stations spanned the distance between each Tiberian. Ships of the defense grid traveled to and fro between it, but little action ever occured. The occasional pirate raid, the occasional blip on the deep-ranger active sensors.
However, the grid could be exploited-it was wide-open, and never very dense. It was a significant weakness never fixed, and the issue was that little fire, except at the locations of the major stations, could be brought to bear at a particular point. Anyone with a sizeable enough force could easily punch through Omega T5 grid.
This blip was a bit bigger.

"Report," ordered Inleay. "What's up?"
"Long-range sensors are reporting a sudden shock of spacial radiation, followed by a large increase in local gravity fields in the area of the radiation," reported the sensor officer. "Recommend we send out a group to investigate."
"Set the outer grid to active," ordered Inleay. "Get the mines online."

Out in the grid, red lights across the minefields switched to blue-the active position. The explosive mines prepared thruster jets and targeting computers, while the projectile mines readied cannons and computers.

"Send some Defiants," ordered Inleay.

Swarming out of the outermost Tiberians, fifteen Defiant-class patrol craft formed up and moved towards the source of the anomoly. Fast, agile, and well-sized-they were capital-class at over 100m long-the patrol ships would be able to quickly react, and if faced with hostiles, hold their own long enough to run back to the static defenses.

"We can't get a good fix," reported the patrol ships back to the main station, "too much interference on the sensors. We're going to deploy a probe to get long-range contact."

From the leading patrol craft, a blue-radiating probe shot forward towards the heavy dense radiation emissions, armed with virtually every sort of sensor known to the Dominion. It would find the source of this.

A lone Raptor, jumps into the system, looking for a possible astroid field rich with tellium, the fuel vital for the colonial fleets. http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Raptor

Lt. Baker: Lt. Jordan bring up draidus sweeps to scan the area for any astroids.

Lt. Jordan, Sir this area apprears to have few astroids, and according to draidus very little chance for tellium or any other resource.

Lt. Baker: Ok We will begin to move into sector 2. Begin scan.

Lt. Jordan: Sir you will never believe this, there is a fleet of ships out here. They do not have colonial transpoders, nor do they match cylon registries. Either this is a new prototype cylon fleet, or a first contact situation. (The rest of the colonies have no clue about the battlegroup's engagement of the Borg on a different RP, as they have not made it back to colonial space yet to report the findings.)

Lt. Baker: Gods, ok we have to get scans of these new ships. And for frak's sake scan for weapons.

The small Raptor begins to maneuver towards the new fleet.

Lt. Jordan Sir I am picking up new draidus contacts coming into the system, 15 small craft they are not raiders or transports, and are about 10 times bigger than our Raptor. Radiological alarms are not going off, sir they do not appear to be carrying nukes, nor can i detect any kind of cannon's. Sir there is massive energy signatures on board as well as many life signs. Sir these are most definately not cylons.

Lt. Baker: I am spinning up the FTL drives, if these guys turn hostile we need to get out quick.

Lt. Jordan: Good Idea. Turning on the outboard cameras now.

The small raptor slows down in speed shines it's spotlight on the ships and begins to record any data it can.

The fact that they had arrived in one piece just temporarily helped the spirits of the fleet. More pressing issues soon surfaced. Communications equipment behaved abnormally. Sensory equipment still worked, but was not well tuned to this new dimension. Therefore, when the Raptor and the probe approached, the commanders did not have a good grasp on how large they were or their general shape.

The fleet eventually exhumed itself from the junk that had come with it. Observers would be looking upon a vast swarm of ships. The vessels could easily be placed into two categories.

Of the first variety were the large ships. They tended to be either a giant sphere, or many spheres linked together. The propulsion of these crafts seemed to be radiators placed along a meridian. More of note to the observers would be the fact that they had no visible weapons.

There were only a few of these large ships, whereas the smaller ones numbered in the millions. These were somewhat larger than an average fighter and only held one person. Also unlike the larger ships, they were clearly armed with many types of weapons.

After the probe and the Raptor were first spotted with the sensors, two fighters were sent out of follow each of them. The one that was sent out to the raptor stayed just far enough away to visually observe it by watching its lights.

On board the Raptor:

Lt. Johnson: Baker this is great, we are sure to recieve a promotion for this.

Lt. Baker: Yes this is very exciting, what have your scans revealed.

Lt. Johnson: there are defintely life forms on board as wel las massive energy signatures. THeir propulsion is somehting we have never seen before, but I guess the eggheads on Caprica can figure out what they use. But I am having difficulty scanning all of them, we would need a fleet of raptors and tons of harddrive space to scan each one.

Lt. Baker: Ok lets make our place in the history books

The raptor begins to send out a signal (I hope you have a universal translator since I do not ) : Attention unknown vessels, this is a colonial vessel. We wish to know your intentions. Please respond.

No less than 3 Solari Task Forces took note of the appearance of the new vessels. The embattled 77 noted another freakish anomaly, and ignored it in favor of more important matters. Task Force 56, en route to another destination, and another battle against fiends from elsewhere, likewise ignored it as something they simply couldn't deal with. That left the Battleships of Task Force 34 to handle this particular incursion. Not a particularly ideal solution, but better than others that were available.

Where the hell did that come from?

No idea. TF77 recently reported a similar anomaly. Perhaps associated with this one?

That was a planet. This is an unknown item. And the signatures are quite dissimilar.

Well, if we'd go take a look, we might find out, instead of you two just tossing out ideas.

Silence! We've obviously got some work ahead of us, best know what we face first.

And if we go take a look, we'll know what exactly is going on out here.

And we may stick our dicks in where we don't want them stuck!

You're like children. We're going, and have an end to it.

The 50 ships, mostly Destroyers and CVEs, of TF 34 disappeared from existence. For one extremely long, utterly immeasurable, and amazingly ambiguous moment, they were nowhere, and did not in fact exist. An equally ambiguous, immeasurable, and extremely short moment later, they existed again. Arguably. It was all rather confusing and ill defined, but the ships were some 60,000 kilometers from the unknown fleet, and they were reasonably sure they existed, so it was all good...

On board the tiny Raptor, the sensor pings begin to go off as the new ships jump into the system.

Lt. Baker: What the frak is this out here some sort of convention?

Lt. Johnson: I think so Baker, what should we do.

Lt. Baker: Scan the new ships in the sector I wil ltry to communicate with them.

THe small raptor begins to move towards the new fleet scanning the larger ships. A radio communication is sent: "This is the Colonial Vessel Raptor 1. Please identify yourselves, and state your purpose for being here."

Lt. Baker: Keep our FTL drives online if this turns ugly we need to get out of here quick.

Lt. Johnson: Maybe they do not speak our language

Lt. Baker: Come on haven't you ever seen sci-fi. All aliens speak greek.

Fortunately, every ship had on board a universal translator. Unfortunately, however, these translators only knew of languages that existed in their previous universe. Even if the translators did work properly, the communications equipment was still behaving abnormally and communication between ships proved difficult. Primitive radio waves were emitted constantly from every ship for purposes of coordination until the regular system was brought online again.

The sensors soon made the Solari fleet known. One of the small fighter ships detached from its position clinging to the surface of one of the larger spheres and began making its way towards this new arrival. It approached the new fleet knowing that it was much larger than the probe and Raptor that had been detected.

The mission of this tiny ship was to get close and observe the strange fleet or follow it if it began to move away. The pilot anxiously hoped that he would not have to follow it too far. Even though he had lived four fifths of his life in this very ship, he was unsure if he would be able to make his way back to the main fleet without the aid of the normal communications devices.

Meanwhile, the ships that were following the Raptor and the probes kept moving closer to the subjects of their observations. They were unaware of any attempts made to communicate with them. The pilot who was tasked with following the raptor was particularly confused. The normal protocols for interacting with a ship when communications were impossible did not apply here.

As the pilot drifted closer to the raptor, he stopped. He was thinking about getting out of the ship, but, unlike the tribal peoples he was used to, he could not be sure if this would be interpreted correctly. Therefore he waited to see if they would do something first.

The raptor begins to fly to the larger ship, emmitting Radio waves as that is the only true form of communication that I have on board.

Lt Baker: this is very frustrating why are they not responding.

Lt. Johnson: Sir maybe they do not have a radio. Perhaps we should try something more basic.

Lt. Baker: You are right, ok try this

The spot light begins to pulse out in morse code:

This is the coloninal Vessel Raptor one. Please identify yourselves and state the naturs of your puropse here. We do not wish any form of conflict only to talk to you.

Lt. Johnson: Sir I will try the same message in morse code on a sensor ping. Hopefully they will detect it.

Lt. Johnson: Baker two of the unknown ships have just been detected they seem to be following us and getting closer.

Lt. Baker: They are probably jsut curious about us, but jsut in case what is the status of the FTL Drive.

Lt. Johnson: it is at 100%.

Lt. Baker: Good, if they turn hostile we need to get out quick. Continue trying the radio communications. And try an electronic typed out message.

Point. Oh well...

(((OOC: Lol that is great. I am new to this type of roleplaying and instead of coming up with fancy technobabble, blended from many forms of scifi into an invincible armada like many others seem to, I just took the ship's of the colonial fleet in the new battlestar galactica. Lt. Baker: Johnson we are getting a message, it is odd, it sounds like your solar systems navy, make existance, this is Admiral Lee.

OOC: Speaking of Battlestar...

IC:
Where one member of the GFFA attends to a particular situation, another isn't usually far behind. The funny thing is, that always seem to happen no matter where you go.

A deep-space probe noted the weird wormhole popping into existence and when out came a fleet of ships that caused attention to members of the international community, the Coredians decided to send the newest ship in the arsenal.

The Battlestar Coredia! The first of it's class, it's also the most powerful ship short of the Elite-class Star Destroyer. Bristling with everything from turbolasers to railcannons to missile tubes, and sporting energy-absorbing molecular shields, it is a one-ship Navy, according to Vector Shipyards. Its escort fleet exited hyperspace seconds later, fanning out in a loose formation.

Captain Holland Novak, the Grizzly Tiger, sighed as he exited hyperspace on another routine mission within the main mission of searching for the Emperor's son. "So, what do we have here?"

"Uh, let's see. Sensors are looking weird, but..." Senior Lieutenant Gidget, the sensor and comms operator, said. "We've got Solarian ships in the area, as well as Amazonian Beasts. It looks like we also got one little fighter in the area, unknown configeration. And a hell of a lot of ships. I can't tell with all the interference, but it looks like an entire armada of spheres."

"Interesting." Holland raised an eyebrow. "Can we still hail?"

"Yes. Audio only for the moment." Gidget replied.

"Very well. Open all channels." The grey-haired (though young and rogueish) Captain ordered. When channels were opened... "This is the Battlestar Coredia, the pride of the Coredian Interstellar Defense Force. We have noticed the large space anomaly in the area, and has come to investigate the anomaly. Introductions are in order, I believe."

I think...they just threatened my mother?

Actually, I believe the best translation would be "we mean no peace with your progenitor." Seems a rather clunky way of saying that they don't like us, aye?

Aye. They want coordinates to ouir homeworld, and yet they also threaten us. That seems...unwise, unless they...ACTIVE EMISSIONS!

From the smaller ship Willie, want me to waste them?

Not yet...

Reply:

This is once again Admiral Willis Lee, you will cease targeting me, and power down. Your vessel will land in my port boat bay, and be greeted by several of my combat remotes, to whom you will surrender your weapons. Any deviation from this course of action will result in the disablement of your vessel.

Several secondary turrets on the massive hull of the Battleship rotated to bring the tiny ship into their line of fire, and one of the three main guns turned with them, getting across the point that they should advance no further, unless they desired oblivion.

Like with the other vessels in the area, the Uyghurs quickly made note of the Coredians and a small ship zoomed out to get up close. The Uyghurs were, of course, unable to understand the message sent out to them.

The messages from the Raptor were as muddled one might expect to the pilot. He was able to see that a correlation existed between the flashes of light and the radio signals, but Morse code was useless unless one knew English letters and the words that they made up.

Nevertheless, this new endeavor was seen as a decisive attempt to communicate. The pilot could only hope that the message being relayed was not one of warning.

Suddenly, a compartment near the top right side of the ship opened. Out shot a several flares in a direction that the pilot believed would not be construed as an attempted attack. The combined explosions from these rockets etched into the darkness of space the following symbol:

http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/4482/symboloftheuyghurkhanatnk2.png

Over 5 kilometers from top to bottom, it could easily be seen even in the blackness of space. The ostentatious gasses that made up the symbol would be burning bright for quite some time.

Meanwhile, the vessel that was scoping out the Solari fleet was moving in closer. It came a short distance away from one of the outlying vessels of the fleet. Out from the bottom of the craft was emitted a suction module, which would hopefully cling on to the edge of the Solari ship and allow the pilot to reel his craft in. His plan was to attach his ship to the outside of the Solari ship, get out of his ship, and hope that he was led into the other ship where, hopefully, better communications could occur.

Meanwhile, the main bulk of the fleet positioning itself so that it could begin to roam this new dimension once scouting information was relayed back. Small fighter craft sped out in every direction to gather information and determine the best routes that the fleet could travel.

The patrol craft now began advancing towards the whole scene of commotion. A radiation flare and a fighter were one thing, but two consecutive fleets popping up in Amazonian "territory" was a different matter entirely. Something needed explaining.

The probe re-entered the tiny hanger of the lead Defiant, used for storing probes or message pods. The group swung around into the middle of the fray of ships now, flocking about in space. The Defiants didn't want to provoke anything, but Solari forces were quite often somewhat belligerent...from other Amazonian encounters.

"This is the Amazonian patrol ship ADV Velvet Guise," the lead Defiant messaged across all bands. "Surely there's some meaning for all this. Let me emphasize, that if fighting breaks out, there is a fairly large defense grid behind me, and we will not hesitate to call in reinforcements. Whatever this is, it stays peaceful."

A the message recieved from the Solarian ships: Do not use lock... and move in a line... Come into bay so that we may use remotes... leave your course. I am admiral Lee...

THe ship stared at the communication when its sensors began to pick up the gun turrets pointing at it.

Lt. Baker: ok these guys do not want us around that is fine, reverse course at maximum speed to the Original fleet.

As t hat occured, the flares took off. At first they thought they were under attack but then the symbol was formed.

Lt. Johnson: What the hell was that? Is this their way of communication? Ok then prepare the flares and fire it in the same position as thier firework display. Make sure that it is obvious that it is no where near any of their vessels. If you can try to form some symbol out of it.

Lt. Baker is that wise even if they recognized it, we could be telling them to frak off.

Lt. Johnson: ok then lets try something more basic head back to the spheres at top speed, and set the computer to flash the spot light using binary code. If they have computers they should defintly recognize it.

Lt. Johnson: Sir sensors are picking up 2 new ships entering the field.

Lt. Baker send this message on all frequencies (audio): "Unknown vessels, we are here under a flag of peace. If any of you can understand what I am saying please respond. "

Lt. Johnson: should we jump?

Lt. Baker: Yes jump to those spheres, about 1000 km away and begin to rebroadcast the message including using the light in binary. Hopefully we will be out of range of those Solar ships.

The range would be long, but you'd still be in range of the beam. Barely. It'd take a few seconds for it to reach you, but you'd still be relatively unable to dodge unless you have FTL sensors.

(((OOC: ok thank you for the clarification. My sensors are good, but the most I will have is a warnign you fired then I will be hit, I take it by your post that you do not wish to destroy the small ship only disable it.)))

The small Raptor was along side one of the spheres. The crew on board was estatic as they could finally communicate accurately with one of the species here. Then alarms started to sound.

Lt. Baker: what is that alarm?

Lt. Johnson did not have time to respond, as an energy blast from the Solori Ships hit the Sublight engines. In one shot both of the sublight engines were blown off. The engine fragments flew directly towards one of the spheres.

The Raptor begins to transmit: "Mayday Mayday, we have been attacked by the solar system ships, any ship please help us."

Lt. Baker: Damage report!

Lt. Johnson: Our sublight engines are gone, stabilizers and thrusters offline, sensors have been overloaded. FTL Navigational Computer is down. Sir We are losing Atmosphere, and fuel.

Lt. Baker: Try to seal off the fuel, if that catches on fire, we are screwed.

Lt. Johnson: I am tryign to stabilize the Raptor, but the controls are not responding.

The Raptor continues to issue a prioity one distress Call: Mayday Mayday, we were attacked unprovoked by the Solar ships, mayday out postion is 2 Clicks off the large sphere and closing on it.

Lt. Johnson: I got the fuel lines shut down, but we are still venting atmosphere.

Lt. Baker: Frak this, get the FTL drive back up and running now.

Lt. Johnson: I am trying but it will take a few minutes, to reposition our coordinates, our navigational computer got shorted and will take some time to reconfigure.

The Raptor is spinning out of control towards the Spheres at a high volocity, as the last of the oxygen leaves the cabin of the Raptor.

Lt. Baker looks at his Suit 23h:59m:35s of oxygen in his suit.

Lt. Baker sends one last desperate plea, hoping that not every alien in this galaxy is a hostile force, "Someone please help."

OOC: The Defiants are a variant of the Star Trek Defiants, yeah. Stronger and slightly bigger, carry more people.

IC:

"Solari ships, stand down or you will be attacked by the defense grid. That is a promise, not a threat-and we are more than capable of handling a formation your size and of your power. We have already analyzed and scanned your vessels," came the outward Dominion transmission.

The grid that lined the backdrop of the scene began powering up in case shit started to fly.

OOC: I do have 3PO droids wandering around somewhere. Actually, the Chief (shipboard AI) has a language database for everything from Ancient Egyptian to Baby Babble to the Black Speech of demons from Hell. Although the Baby Babble still needs work (:p ). If the Colonial language is in any way similar to ancient Greek (I usually assume it is, since they worship the Greek Gods), he'll translate it automatically. If it's a totally new language, it'll take a few minutes of talking gibberish to get the gist of your language enough for a passable conversation. Don't forget to note that my ship IS a Battlestar. The Colonials should be freaking out, or at least surprised.

(((OOC: Yes my people do speak ancient greek, and when we find out that you have a battlestar, we will be more than freaking out, we will be utterly estatic. Problem is my small ship is under attack, so after my crew is hopefully rescued, then we can play it out )))

The Small wounded ship sends out another signal. "We have less than 24 hours of oxygen left and require immediate assistance. Without it we will die. Our Engines have been destroyed, and without flight control we can not accuratly jump. "

Lt. Johnson: Do you think anyone will come?

Lt. Baker: I have no clue, seems these mother frakkin aliens have nothing better to do than shoot at unarmed ships, gods I wish I had a nuke right now.

"Sir, the Solari seem to be attacking that small ship over there. I just recieved their distress call." Gidget said.

"How troublesome. The Solari are warmongers." Captain Holland replied coldly. Then he had an idea. "How many Shinobi do we have on board?"

"Um. We have six aboard the Coredia, Team Seven and Eight, and another two as standard op and at least twenty others spread out among the fleet. Why?"

Hmm. Their power should be enough. Captain Holland thought. "Chief, call the Shinobi and order them to rig the ship for Shunshin Jump*."

The Chief, the shipboard AI with a nerdish look, appeared on a holoscreen with a nod. "All Shinobi, report to the bridge for Shunshin Jump!"

Six pops of air reported as the two teams of ninjas came to the bridge. "Where to?" Nick Kingfisher asked.

"The small ship that says it's from Kobol is under attack by the Solarin League. I want to intercept any further attacks and then bring them to safety." Captain Holland said, pointing at the sensor screen, at the particular area.

"All right." One of the Jounin said and the eight ninjas began weaving handseals, their chakra activating. Anyone outside would notice a slight blue energy swirling around the ship for about three seconds and then... "Shunshin no Jutsu!"

The entire 2 km ship disappeared from view in a large poof of light and space smoke. Instantly, the ship reappeared half a klick away from the stricken Raptor, using its bulk to shield it from the Solari warmongers.

"Kobol ship, this is Battlestar Coredia. We will tractor you into our ship. Please stand by!" A tractor beam began snagging the small two-man fighter and pulling it into the starboard hangar bay. Meanwhile...

"Lieutenant Ken-Go, raise shields and warm up the batteries just in case the Solari want to pick a fight." Captain Holland replied.

"As ordered, sir!" The Tactical Officer began flipping switches and the Chief poured his processing power into the weapon computers, ensuring high rate-of-fire and reload times and superior targeting solutions.

"Talho, prepare to evade if necessary."

"Got it!" The lead pilot, Lt. Commander Talho grinned and gripped her control stick. The Battlestar Coredia is the newest ship designed specifically to utilize Vector Industries' new Inertia Drives (based off applications of inertial dampener technology), which grants increased acceleration and maneuverability, making it act more like an oversized fighter than a large capital ship. The drive have already proved devastating to a number of enemies, including the Empire, and would provide the Solari with quite the challenge. And that's just the tip of the iceburg...

OOC: *Shunshin Jump is the Coredian answer to tactical FTL drives, like nBSG's and will not be stopped by most FTLi. The shinobi utilize the ability to teleport to apply to ships, but it has two weakness: you need Shinobi or Jedi Shinobi. Pure Jedi Knights haven't been able to do it yet (but they will eventually). Also, it drains the Shinobis' energy reserves so it can't be used more than a few times (about 3). And you need at least five shinobi to do it. The larger the ship, the more ninjas you need, so SSDs would need many, many shinobi. Any less and it would backfire with dangerous, possibly fatal results. So we're still working on a true tactical FTL. But at least it works and it's effective.

The tiny fighter continued to reel itself in closer towards the Solari ship. It was unaware of the commotion that was going on around it due to the continued abnormalities of communication and sensory systems. The pilot did, however, see that some of the guns on the ship were training on him. He continued forward though, knowing that not only would he would be killed, but his entire family would be, too, if he disobeyed an order during such an important operation as this.

As the fighter came close enough to begin the sequence of clamping on to the outside of ship, it began to open up. Several layers of the incredibly complex ship began to fold away. Various gases were expelled and instruments were shifted down into the lower cavity of the ship. Out of the opening arose a large bubble that contained the pilot, who was wearing a pilot’s space suit.

A hole seemed to melt through one side of the bubble, and the pilot maneuvered himself into the vacuum of space. With any hope, he would not be vulnerable like this for long. He hoped that he would either be recalled back to the fleet (He kept the main fleet in his peripheral vision, in case a flare came up in the absence of normal communications.), or he would be brought into the Solari ship.

The same process that was being carried out at the Solari fleet was attempted by the scouts at the Coredian fleet and the Amazonian fleet as well.

The central command of the Uyghur fleet had been watching the Solari and Coredian ships compete for the meal that was the Raptor with interest, all the while hoping the same terrible fate did not befall their own scouts. The thought of ships eating each other was quite disturbing to them as they had never seen a structure on a ship similar to a hangar bay.

The main fleet had begun to spread out significantly. The radius small area that the fleet had originally encompassed spread out many more thousands of kilometers.
Amazonian Beasts

The Defiants stood by passively as the Uyghur fighter closed, less than interested with that and considerably more concerned with the Solari actions-though the Amazonians were gunning for a fight, especially on home turf. It'd be a messy ending for the Solarins if they decided to try to engage.

As the Uyghur pilot emerged into open space, however, he was noticed by the sweeping bridge footage of the second Defiant, the Tearful Kill, that encompassed the entire craft's surface.

"Sir," the bridge's visuals operator reported, "there's...there's a person outside the ship!"
"What?" the Kill's captain shouted. "Beam him aboard. Is it one of ours?"
"Doesn't look like it Captain...different outfit entirely."
"Beam him to the brig's secure channel, than-and have a team down there at once!"

In the brig, next to an energy-closed space roughly large enough to hold three standard humans, a squad of Shock Troopers quickly assembled, carrying their guns in case this proved to be a hostile. The beaming system of the brig-a process which would reduce the pilot's body to atoms, then refocus him back to original configuration in the brig's cell (a process perfected centuries before the Dominion even adopted it) quickly energized on the Uyghur man outside-engaging to transfer his body from outside to inside without hassle.

As soon as they entered the ship, they would notice a very superficial similarity to their own Battlestars, like the corridors and the locations of the bridge and important places. However, the details are far, far different. The Marines surrounding the ship (but with rifles in safety position) wear brown armor. There are holocomputers everywhere, with people manning them and typing in stuff. Some of the crew seemed a little young for the liking of other nations. Coredians learn to train and operate high technology from a very young age, so it's not surprising to allies to notice a kid who looks like he should be in junior high school studiously typing in a report on the status of the reactor, or manning the various consoles. But there are still adults, especially on the Bridge and in senior and Marine positions, so as to assure newcomers to the idea that it's not a nation completely run by kids.

In Coreworlds, ability, not age, is the way to success.

As the automated language translator is in place, the Coredian approaching the ship would have no problems with hearing the Colonials in Galactic Basic, although he would hear Greek and they vice versa. Said Coredian has raven-black hair and his eyes are piercing-black, as if they are capable of boring into you. Not far from the truth, either.

The thirty year old Coredian (although he hardly looks his age. Coredians of his generation look ten years younger nowadays, a sign that something interesting was up, but that's another story) wears a black cloak, in fact, all his clothing is black, and on his belt is a cylinderical object that looks oddly like the hilt of a sword of some kind. Also, there are pouches on the belt and on his right leg containing other weapons and objects. People part from this man's presence as if he was to be feared and respected and indeed he is, for he is a Jedi Shinobi, and head of one of the top ten clans in the nation's history. His name is one that people should remember and he knows it: Uchiha Sasuke.

Sasuke waited for the newcomers to step out of their little ship, which looks like a heavy fighter of some kind.

=====

Meanwhile, the Defender, second in command of the small Coredian flotilla and the first of a new class of Star Destroyer, noticed the small fighter from Cotenshire approaching it. The Captain thought it odd when the other fighter heading to Solari chose to dock outside and was astonished when he or she deliberately went EVA as his fighter seemingly exploded. Force! Something must have happened!

"Tractor beam that fellow onboard." The Captain ordered. "Have a medical team get to the hangar bay to render assistance if possible!"

One of the Star Destroyer's hangar bay tractor beams activated and pulled the small fellow inside the bay. At the same time, a team of medics entered the hangar bay and waited for the scout to come in...

Captain Holland just shook his head. "Reply."

"We've only just arrived, but it appears to us that you have attacked the vessal. I am loathe to judge, but I'm sure a little more patience with newcomer nations would be beneficial. They don't appear hostile and we will withhold judgement until we have spoken with their representatives."

As the ship lands inside the hanger bay, the crew is in awe of the ship's design.

Lt. Johnson: So this is going to be the next line of battlestars, very impressive, I wish I brought a camera.

Lt. Baker: WHy you know you will have to sign an agreement stating we were never here and all evidence will be confiscated.

Lt. Johnson: You are right but it is still nice to hope.

Lt. Baker: I am just glad to be alive.

The crew of the small raptor open the door to the raptor and begin to climb out. As they look around they take off their helmets,, Lt. Johnson is about 5'7, Blond long hair, and green eyes. She looks around in amazement, at the new ship they are on.

Lt. Baker, 6'2, male with a marine shaved head.

They look at the wonders inside this battlestar, when they see a man in a dark cloak in front of them. They ask the man, where is the commander of the Battlestar, they have a lot of information that needs to be sent to CDA immediately.

My two officers are in the standard colonial flight suit, and only weapons are the standard issue pistol.

After a few moments Lt. Baker asks: What is your position on this ship, your dress is not a standard colonial uniform.

Then you see fear come into their eyes as they begin to relize that this ship is not the Colonial Battlestar they once believed, but instead is an alien ship.

That information, including our specifications, shield data, and other similar technical data classified under law code 134.6.8.4, and 134.6.8.10, the classification of military vessels technical drawings, and the classification of detailed sensor readings of the same. While we do not presume to enforce this in combat situations, wherein we are already seeking the destruction or disablement of the vessels doing the scanning, we instructed them to desist, and to land in my port boat bay, or be disabled. When they did not comply, and were seen to attempt to escape with sensitive information, my options were limited. I selected disablement and capture of the vessel, as the least extreme option open to me. Upon removal of the data, the vessel would have been repaired, and repatriated as no longer constituting a serious threat to the operational security of the Project WRATHCHILD.

The remainder of the fleet was quite unobtrusively collecting passive data from the local warships, including drive fields, emissions, and general ideas of mass readings, as well as information about visible armament and defensive measures.

I was wondering when they'd realize that it's not their Battlestar. It seems this ship design is common as well. Sasuke smirked. "As you may have realized, this is a ship of the Coredian Interstellar Defense Force (CIDF), not one of your 'Colonial' ships. My name is Uchiha Sasuke, but you can call me Sasuke. I will escort you to our conference room."

He turned aside to escort them, but turned around. "Oh, and if you encounter a floating head wearing glasses, don't worry about it. That head is our shipboard artificial intellgence, known as Chief."

With that, Sasuke lead them through the hallways to the conference room. Along the way, they would see crewmembers and droids of all shapes and sizes, from the prissy, shiny-black M-3PO droid (military protocol droid) to precocious astromech droids rolling around to the tiny mouse droids flitting in and out of sight. There are also a number of flies buzzing around, but they seem insignificant, if annoying sometimes. There is also the Chief talking to a crewmember and another holo of him humming to some music.

Eventually, they reached the conference room, where the grey-haired (though young and rogueish) Captain Holland Novak sat in his chair. "Welcome to our ship. Please take a seat and introduce yourselves."

If Solarins consider that a threat, we must be utterly terrifying..."

Doubtful... You are mildly amusing, and almost totally non threatening. It is the violation of privacy, coupled with the need to maintain command mandated operational security concerning the design and operation of all WRATHCHILD-type vessels that motivates us in this. According to our scriptures there was a 13th colony but no one has hearrd of them in a few thousand years, so yes Sir it is the name of our worlds."
"Ah. I see. In that case, I suppose we can help you get back home once this is all over. Meanwhile, it didn't take long to find the data disk and reveal the mission of finding fuel, although the techies were dismayed to find the navigational computer was fried. Still, they got to work to try and get some nav-data out of what's left of it. Also, they did find some data on the Solari ships, but nothing they haven't seen before. "Ah. Well, we have ships with the class name of Star Destroyer, and Vector Industries' very own Rina Masaki decided to name it thus so as to be easily remembered. Vector is the company we selected to design and build this ship, the first of it's class." Captain Holland replied. Then the question about Sasuke came up.

"I am what is known as a Jedi Shinobi and was assigned to this ship on our mission as a supernatural specialist." Sasuke said simply. "To make a long story short, we are gifted with the ability to utilize what is known as the Force and chakra. The Force is an energy field that binds the universe through all life, and grants the Jedi Knights superhuman abilities and is psychic in nature. Chakra is our own life energy, and is a source of my Shinobi powers, which would be considered magic in some circles as what we call jutsus could be considered spells. Those few who wield both energy sources with ease are known as Jedi Shinobi. There is also Alchemy, which is chakra-based and uses arrays to transmute matter, but you'll have to ask someone more versed in that subject than I for details."

He unhooked the hilt of his sword and activated it, bathing the room in red light and humming with ionized air. There was also the smell of ozone. "This is the lightsaber, the symbol of the Jedi and a weapon that can cut through nearly anything, save certain materials, and another lightsaber."

He had a thought. If they wish a demonstration, my apprentices could easily oblige one.

Ok, I like you, but there's a few little things that could be improved. For example, every time a person speaks, a new paragraph is to be made. Also, you would do well to put quotes around people's speech. like so:

James said, "I am your father."

To do that, you must press Shift and press the quote key on your keyboard. It should be near the Enter key. You may know it already, but it's just a refresh.

Also, a little proofreading on your part can help improve spelling. I notice a few errors here and there.

These few tips will help you produce a better RP.

Lt. Baker responds, " I was on a fuel survey mission, with my co-pilot Lt. Johnson. We went to the coordinates given, and encountered no less than three alien fleets. We have a first contact situation."

Colonial Defense, " You have to be kidding me. If what you say is true, jump back to the Troy, and debrief the commander. We have had two other first contact's in the last week alone. "

Lt. Baker states, " We can not jump one of the three fleets, one calling themselves the Solari Fleet shot us down because we scanned them..."

Colonial Defense, " Your report is the third report of hostile aliens. Please hold on we will send the troy and all available Battlestars to recuse you and engage the hostile. "

Lt. Baker, " Negative we are safe. The second fleet we encountered, saved us from the Solari. We are broadcasting from their ship, which they call a battlestar. They wish to have diplomatic relations with us and have treated us with great respect and care. We wish to meet at the Armistice station, in order to set up any relations possible."

Colonial Defense, " We will respond to the armistice station at 0800 hours. Until we have authorization from the President of the Colonies and the Admiralty, do not approach colonial space. If what you say is true this is the first peaceful contact with aliens reported."

Lt. Baker replies, " Yes Sir." End Transmission.

Lt. Johnson," So we are stuck for the time being it seems."

Lt. Baker looks at the Captain, " Sir with your permission, may we stay on board until Colonial Defense responds? "

On Caprica, in the Colonial Capitol of Caprica City:

President Adar was weighing the events of the last week. The pressure of his presidency was nearing the breaking point. One month ago, the cyclons attempted to subvert the Colonial defense network. Luckily however the culprit Dr. Gaiss Baltar was found giving the defense codes to a cylon agent.

Dr. Baltar’s arrest made the top headlines around the entire Colonial network. His trial was televised across the colonies, as riots engulfed many Colonial cities. Then the cylons attacked. After a few weeks, and with the Colonial Defenses realizing the attack was coming through the attempted electronic sabotage, the colonies were able to fend off the cylon aggressors, but now new threats were discovered.

In the last week, a Battle Group was attacked unprovoked, by a cyborg race known as the Borg. This forced the most terrifying realization, we are not alone. Time and time again, the races of the known universe proved to be hostile, firing first and asking questions later. President Adar wondered if the Colonies could survive these new threats.

President Adar’s secretary came into the room. She was quite beautiful, about 5'7, with blond hair and blue eyes. Her beauty was only matched by her proficiency at her job. As she walked into the room, President Adar stated, “ Hello Cassandra, do you bring me any good news from the battle group.”

Secretary Cassandra Lions, “ No sir, we have not heard from them as of yet, but we have other news.” She handed him a new report, in a sealed envelope.

President Adar opened the letter, and put his hand to his forehead. “ This is just great.” he exclaimed. Please summon the Corium of twelve and my staff immediately.

Cassandra immediately obeyed his command, while wondering what was going on.

3 hours later ( 0500 hours)

President Adar “ It would appear that another alien contact has been made by a raptor investigating fuel sources outside colonial space. The raptor was attacked, he continued, by an force calling themselves the Solari.

The Admiralty was stunned. They knew that with all of these recent encounters, they would have to rethink the entire military strategy for the military, possibly gain more funding for newer technologies. It was indeed a grave time for the Colonies.

President Adar continues, “ the raptor using the relay communication array at the Armistice station, was able to get us this message. They also report that another race that they called the “ Coredian’s rescued their raptor, and has our two crewmen. The Crewmen report that they have been treated with the utmost respect, and are receiving all of the proper necessities. He concluded that this new race desires to meet us at the armistice station.”

The Corium and the admiralty immediately begin to argue about the current situation.

The Caprican representative stands up, “ Sir, if all of these reports are true, shouldn’t we meet with them. We can use friends, and with all of the threats to our nationality, they can be valuable allies.

The Saggitarian representative interrupts, “ With all due respect how do we know this is not some elaborate ruse by these aliens to gain our trust, find our space and take us out. We can not allow these aliens to get the upper hand on us.”

Admiral Lee stands. “ With all due respect Mr. President, we all know the Saggitarians are a bit paranoid. I believe we should contact them, but we should not allow them to know where our worlds are. Instead let us meet them in the armistice station. If they prove to be friendly we can trade with them.
If they prove to be hostile, we can send a group of battlestars to the area to repel the invaders, and if they prove too much we can run for cylon space hoping that the cylons come in and force the aliens to destroy the cylons. It can be a win-win situation for us sir.”

President Adar, thinks about all of the purposed ideas. “First I want all information about alien life classified top secret. Anyone leaking information about this without presidential authorization will be guilty of treason, President Adar exclaimed.”. “ Second we do not wish to appear to be warmongers, as such we will send a diplomatic convoy to the Armistice station, after all it is outside our space, no where near our colonies and is designed for diplomacy.” “I wish to have the Battle Groups 75 and 23 standing by in case of an attack, with preset jump coordinates programmed in. Prepare the diplomats to depart.”

President Adar then states “Send word to the Armistice station to allow the Aliens docking privileges on the colonial side of the Armistice station. We will dock on the cylon side, to make our space look like theirs.”

After the meeting President Adar prays, “Lords of Kobal hear my prayer. Your people are in dire need of guidance in these uncertain times. Please look after us.”

(O800 Hours) A transmission is sent from the Armistice station: Battlestar Cordelia, please inform Lt. Baker that you have premission to dock at docking bay 1, at 0900 hours.

OOC: There's more technique to writing a good story, young apprentice, but it's a good start. Do you have MSN?

IC:
"Of course." Holland nodded.

"And as promised, if you'll follow me, I'll take you to the ship's training room." Sasuke said, getting up from his chair.

Sasuke led the two Colonial pilots to the ship's training room, which is basically a holodeck but using homegrown Coredian technology and the ship's AI to produce life-like holograms to train against. Hell, they could even hurt if the safeties were off. Anyway, as they entered the room, three teenagers were already there. It seems they've been called to the room, but there was no sign of comlinking or anything. Perhaps it was telepathy?

"These are my apprentices." Sasuke said. He pointed to a kid with a topknot. "Umino Haruka. He's the son of the Ninja Academy headmaster, and I must say, you'll rarely find an alchemist with more potential."

Haruka beamed.

"Next we have Masaki Keith." Keith, a boy with brown hair but dirty blond bangs, nodded. "The Masakis are the ruling clan of Coreworlds, and their bloodlines tend to produce extremely powerful Jedi, but I disgress. Keith here is the most skilled in lightsaber combat, and he's also a budding summoner, one who makes contracts with creatures and can call upon them at any time."

"And finally, my elder daughter. Uchiha Reika, heir to my clan, with its affinity for fire ninjutsu, or techniques." Reika smirked proudly. She has the same black hair and piercing eyes as her father, but she also has a strength that comes from her mother, Sakura.

"These three form the basis of Team Eight, with me as their Sensei or Master." Sasuke explained. "There is another team on board this ship, Team Seven, but these three will be demonstrating for you today."

The 2 crewmen stared at the holodeck. It was the most amazing type of room they had ever seen.

Lt, Johnson, "So everything in here is a hologram, yetit looks and feels real, how is this accomplished? "

Lt. Baker just watched the demonstration in pure silence. She knew that she would never be allowed to record any information from inside this ship, or about the people she had met. If there was to be any record, she would have to memorize every detail. She knew she could not count on Johnson, who was more enthralled with a shiny sword, than to recall details that may aid in the upcoming diplomatic conference, and for matters of national security.

I can show you the various endorphins that drive your so-called "feelings". Anger blinds, hate destroys coherent thought, and clouds judgment. Observationally speaking, your statements have been shown to be false any thousand times. If you cannot see that, then more the fool are you. You may use your anger like a man rides a bull, until it throws you, and gores you beneath its horns. I am not just a machine, I am smarter, faster, more deadly, and in every measurable manner your superior. I have no pity for the defeated, no anger at the deaths of my bretheren, no hatred for fools and bigots such as yourself. I speak solely of fact, and that which may be observed, or deduced from observation. Your short life will, in the end be meaningless, as defined by my masters. You will live, act out your petty hatred sand prejudices, and then you will die, and be rendered into constituent matter by "lesser" life forms. I see a greater than 90% probability that nothing I say will have any effect on one so hidebound, ignorant, small-minded, and bigotted as yourself. I have wasted the equivalent of one of your millennia engaging in a dialog that will amount to nothing, simply because you lack the raw cognitive ability to even understand what I am saying. I see no further reason to waste time, processing power, and energy on a monkey that learned how to talk and use tools.

"And yet those monkeys created so many bland...machines...like you," came the response, followed by a laugh to the ignorant machine as the transmission ended.

"Heh. Let's just say that the ability to manipulate light is a part of it." Sasuke smirked. "As far as I know, the details are classified."

"All right. Chief. Insert training program number 5, level E!" Sasuke ordered before turning to the Colonials again. "We have a system of strength where E is the weakest and goes up to A. Above A is S for highest level."

"Got it!" The Chief replied and the holodeck transformed into zeroes and ones for a second, then shimmered into a part of a city that appears to have slow-moving zombies shuffling around.

"Aww! This is too easy! Why not a C?" Keith whined.

"It's a demonstration, dobe (fool), not a battle." Reika rolled her eyes.

A screen appeared and some words popped on it. READY! SET! GO!

Suddenly, the zombies began shuffling towards the group, but Sasuke merely smirked as even normal soldiers can kill them by shooting their heads. The Colonials will have no problem picking them off if they want to. If they don't, Sensei and the two Colonials are protected by an inpenetrable shield.

Immediately, the three young apprentices attacked the zombies with their lightsabers, the blades encountering absolutely no resistance slicing through flesh and bone alike. In seconds, the current group of zombies were eliminated and the kids were not even breathing hard.

"Hmm. Perhaps it is too easy..." Sasuke muttered and upped the difficulty level to D. Now the zombies moved a little faster and had a slight increase in intelligence. There were even more than before. The kids had to put a little more effort into their attacks, throwing kunai and shuriken into the mix to cut the enemies' throats or stab their heads.

"Well, time to burn them." Reika smirked. Her hands were a blur as she activated her powers. "Katon: Goukakyuu no Jutsu!" (A screen translated the Jutsu into Basic: Fire Type: Grand Fireball Technique!)

A large fireball erupted from her mouth and turned the damned creatures into ash. Meanwhile, Keith just used telekinesis to smash other zombies into walls, or throw random objects to slow them up. And Haruka clapped his hands and slammed them into the ground, unleashing blue sparks that transformed a part of the ground into a concrete fist, smashing zombies into green paste.

"Is that all, Dad?" Reika taunted with a smirk as all the zombies were destroyed.

"Just you wait!" Sasuke grinned. "Activate Battle of Geonosis Scenario!"

Laser blasts suddenly flew all over the place, and the kids used their lightsabers to actually deflect the high-speed bolts, each one at least supersonic. They even deflected the bolts they couldn't see. A bunch of battle droids have decided to attack, and the young apprentices obliged them, turning them into scrap metal. A few droids thought they had an advantage with slugthrowers (high-powered assault rifles), but the bullets were deflected away, turning into molten slag upon contact with the blades of light, or vaporized outright.

"Notice the ability to deflect blaster bolts and even solid projectiles, even if they don't see it." Sasuke said, the lasers and bullets pinging off the shield. "They have the ability to see things before they occur. In other words, precognition, or specifically, combat precognition. It is true that you never bring a sword to a gunfight, but with Jedi, that rule is thrown out the window."

As the Battle of Geonosis went on and the kids fought their way to the objectives, Sasuke had a thought. I wonder if the Colonials have ever experienced something like ESP...

The two colonial solders were completely caught by surprise by the training exercises the three “jedi” were showing them. These “graphic battle” sequences were quite amazing. The way that the three students were able to easily throw off the shots fired from the enemy android army as well as the zombie attacks, was almost an unphatomable thought. Three students, taking out an army. “Lords, Lt. Johnson thought, I pray we never have to fight them.

Then one of the students began to shoot fire out of their mouth as another began to move things around with a wave of their hands.

“These people are like the gods.” Lt. Baker stated, as the words accidently slipped out of her mouth. She looked quite embarrassed by the statement, but she quickly thought that these “gods” could probably read her mind, and by saying it out loud, would make no difference.

When the courier brought the message to the two crewman, she looked excited. She would see her home again she thought.

Lt. Johnson on the other hand had completely forgotten about home. He wanted to see more of their fighting styles. He was completely enthralled by the action, especially with the one that they called "Sakura". She was everything that a young adventurous man like him could desire. Lt. Sasuke seemed a bit embarrassed at Jedi being called 'gods'. "Well, not exactly. We Jedi are quite powerful, but we aren't invulnerable either. Still, my students are well-trained indeed."

The Battle of Geonosis scenario ended all too quickly for the apprentices. The Colonials would notice a little sweat dripping from them. Even taking on the Droid Army can tax the Jedi Knights' abilities.

Sasuke figured this was enough of a demonstration for them, even though the logical end of the Geonosis scenario is the encounter with the evil Count Dooku. Seeing a duel like one between Jedi and Sith would be too much, perhaps. War of the Gods, as Lt. Baker would probably say.

That is, unless a real encounter breaks out. Still, there's the chance for more demonstrations later, perhaps a friendly duel.

When the courier brought the message to the two crewman, she looked excited. She would see her home again she thought.

OOC: Meh, I prefer characters to technology myself, so I have no issues with it. After all, that's what RP is all about. There's a top-secret reason for the three most powerful Ninjas in Coreworlds to be on this Battlestar, but that's another story.

IC:
"Very well." Sasuke nodded. "The demonstration is over anyway."

The holodeck shimmered to reveal the zeroes and ones once more, which seems like some kind of wallpaper when it's not in use.

Sasuke lead the soldiers up to the bridge, where the Captain would now be sitting, recieving the latest status report on the events happening outside.

Meanwhile, the three kids walked down the hallway, pleased at yet another day of working out.

"Man, that was a good workout." Keith grinned, wiping himself off with a towel. "These 'Colonials' were like, awed."

"Not surprising. Not many people have seen Jedi in action." Haruka said quietly.

"Yeah. Even so, I like that chick that watched us. She's cute and doesn't bow under pressure." Keith grinned pervertly.

"Don't make me smash you, baka (idiot)." Reika balled a fist. "Sheesh, why did I have to have a pervert as my teammate."

"Yes, we know you don't like perverts." Keith said, then yelped in fright when Reika growled.

The Colonial solders walked up to the bridge. They were stunned by the similarities to the CIC onboard the Troy (((I assume your bridge is similar to a star destroyers bridge.))) There were familiar stations, roughly where they would be placed on a Battlestar.

“One huge difference though was the huge windows on the bridge. The crew were stunned by this, as they considered it a massive oversight. A window can easily be blown out by one well placed shot. Why would such a technology advanced society have made this easy flaw in their ship design.” Lt. Baker thought.

Lt. Johnson was mostly thinking only of the battle he just saw on the holodeck. His mind continued to repeat the events he just saw. Finally he could not resist, he asked “ Is it possible for you to teach me to use a ‘lightsaber’.” He continued, thinking of the beautiful woman with the crimson blade, and asked, “If it is possible I would like to learn, that was the coolest thing I had ever seen.”

Lt. Baker immediately responded,” Johnson please keep quiet and do no annoy them.” She then whispered in his ear, I think they can read our minds as well so keep your thoughts polite.”

Lt. Johnson, “ Of course I will, when am I not the perfect gentleman?”

Lt. Baker, “Since I first met you, she smiled.”

Lt. Johnson laughed at the comment, and replied, "I am always a gentleman, unless I am just with the guys."

Lt. Baker shot him a look that could kill, then told him, be at attention we are on the bridge.

Lt. Johnson replied, "Yes Sir"

Both of the crewmen were quite uncomfortable, with all of the ‘droids’ on the ship. They tried their best to hold back their apprehension towards these robots, but could not help hating their electronic guts, they were the reflection of the enemy they were trained to kill, and here they were surrounded by these abominations.

Lt. Baker saluted when she saw the captain on the bridge, and asked, “ Sir are we underway for the station?”

Lt. Johnson sighed at Lt. Baker’s question as he knew this dream this fantasy was going to come to a close, and soon after all the “miracles” he saw, soon he will be just pulling more survey missions.

The Defender, one of our ships out there --the sensors trained themselves on a 1 km wedge-shaped object, smaller than the standard ISD (1.6 km), with a bulb for a bridge, or so it seems-- will take command of the fleet until we return. Talho, entered the coordinates yet?"

"I have!" Talho nodded.

"Engage!" Captain Holland grinned. The pilot pulled back a large black lever and the stars seemed to stretch out as the ship's hyperdrive opened a doorway into hyperspace, and then the Battlestar Coredia disappeared in a flash of light and psuedomotion. The (relatively small) windows showed all the light incoming as blue-shifted, meaning that the stars' appear to be approaching rather than receding for red-shifting. The Captain spoke again. "We should be there in no more than a half hour, barring unforseen circumstances."

Lt. Johnson thinks for a minute and says, " Strange things yes sir, but nothing that defies explanation yesterday." He then looks out the small window, and says that is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

Lt. Baker stared out the window as well, but her thoughts were a bit more professional. She wondered why they were actually travelling, instead of jumping. She wondered if their engine technology was far behind that of the colonies.

"Sir" she asked, " Might I ask what is happening to the space around us, causing the stars and space to change colors?"

Lt. Baker could not wait, the stories she could tell at the bar after today, and more importantly, the promotion she so desired was within sight. After today she was certain, they were goign to make her a CAG, maybe even promote her to major. Her excitement was building, until she saw the look in Lt. Johnson's eyes.

"What is wrong Johnson?" she asked.

Lt. Johnson said, "Today we have seen what no other human has, wonders, excitement adventure, everything that the recruiters promised on Caprica. And it will be over. Worst part is you know this encoutner will be classified so we will not be able to tell anyone, at least not without a court martial, and possibly meeting the firing squad."

Lt. Baker smiled, "Come on when we get planet side, or back on the Troy I will buy you a drink."

Lt. Baker looked at the Captain and at Sasuke and thanked them for rescuing them. "Hopefully this will be the start of a great friendship between our people." she stated excitedly.

"Sir" she asked, " Might I ask what is happening to the space around us, causing the stars and space to change colors?"
"Hyperspatial physics have never been my forte." The Captain said with a apologetic smile. "But from what I understand, we've shunted ourselves into a space distinct, yet adjacent to ours known as hyperspace where we can exceed the speed of light in realspace by many magnitudes, enough to cross a galaxy in mere hours. The colors are the actions of blue-shifted light -the opposite of redshifted light, where an object travels away from you- as the objects in realspace, like the stars, seem to approach us at high speeds. But that's the limit of my knowledge of hyperspace travel. What of your FTL technology? Your Raptor does seem to be FTL-capable from the engines, but my engineers are still looking into the exact mechanism."

"Indeed. And in time, perhaps the start of a wonderful alliance." Captain Holland nodded. But his thoughts darkened a bit. If only we could keep our enemies away from these people. I would not wish for the Empire to visit their subjucation upon them, nor Chronosia their horrors.

Lt. Baker replied to the captains question, "Sir I am just a pilot, as such I do not know the exact method it works, but the way it works sir, is it folds space literally. It creates at a single moment 2 simotanious points in space, where the vessel exists in both areas, then within a quarter of a second, closes point a. We literally jump across space, never actually moving. It is quite a marvel of technology, she smiled.

Lt. Baker then thought about the sensor scans she took from the raptor on the solari ships. "Sir she asked, we were detecting an energy signature outside the ships when we first detected them. What exactly was that? Also what was it that the Solari shot us with. The ship is designed to take a missle hit and continue to fly, yet what they hit us with took out our engines

(((OOC: I am refering to shields and laster technology :) )))

Lt. Johnson asked the captain, " Sir may I ask a favor. Would it be possible to get a universal translator as you call them, and a list of societies you have heard of, so that we may better understand who will be friendly towards us and who will likely shoot us? That way we are better suited to survive?"

It was then that the Captain and Sasuke shared a glance. Point-to-point spacefolding is a common thing for Force-users to employ (ie teleportation), but to create a technological version is a whole other kettle of fish and the secret has yet to be found. This may be the very thing R&D is looking for!

This first-contact situation is turning out more interesting than ever before!

Lt. Baker then thought about the sensor scans she took from the raptor on the solari ships. "Sir she asked, we were detecting an energy signature outside the ships when we first detected them. "Hmm. You mean the shields and the Solari laser weapons?" The Captain asked. "Those are rather common tools of defense and offense in this day and age, although you're not alone in being spacefarers that don't employ such things."

Lt. Johnson asked the captain, " Sir may I ask a favor. Would it be possible to get a universal translator as you call them, and a list of societies you have heard of, so that we may better understand who will be friendly towards us and who will likely shoot us? That way we are better suited to survive?"
"Perhaps. That list is going to take a while, though." The Captain said. "Although if the Chief would be willing..." He looked up at the holographic AI.

"The list will be done by the time you get to the station. As for the universal translator, I'd normally recommend a translator droid, but seeing as the Colonials don't seem to like them, I'll have to think of something else." The Chief said. "But have no fear! There's nothing in this galaxy that I can't do!"

He certainly has a high opinion of himself. Holland thought to himself. "Well, see what you can do in the meantime."

Lt. Baker replies, "Thank you sir. It is also a point that in our civilization Artifical Intellegence has been outlawed due to the cylon wars. We have had a long bloody struggle against Artificial Intellegence, that tried to wipe out our entire race. As of the 'Jump drive' as we call it, I am certain that our governments will be able to come to some sort of trade of technologies that can benefit us both. "

Lt. Baker continues, " We do have a great deal of technology andexpertise especially in the civilian sector, but our military uses older technology, because the enemy we are used to fighting, called the cylons, are very adapt at electronic subterfuge and sabatoge. As such our ships appear to have very low tech."

Lt. Johnson then asks, " What is the basic principle behind this thing you call the force? Is it a diety that you worship, a scientific phemonon, or something else?" " Also would it be possible to witness that 'friendly duel', he asks, that was stated before?" Secretly Johnson thought that he wanted to see Sasuke's daughter again, and this would be his last chance.

Lt. Baker looks at Johnson, and smiles. "Yes that would be fantastic, she says, would it be possible?"

"I can understand that." The Captain nodded. "On the other hand, a ship with good firewalls and even better electronic warfare systems should do well against these Cylons. Not to mention different operating systems would make it tough as well."

Lt. Johnson then asks, " What is the basic principle behind this thing you call the force? Is it a diety that you worship, a scientific phemonon, or something else?" (((OOC: we can emerge at the station at your leasure :) )))
Sasuke smiled. "Many have tried to truly explain the Force, but all explanations come up short. My theory is that it's the manifestation of the sum total of all the universe's life forms and certain individuals can tap into that wide-ranging energy field and manipulate reality. But that's just a theory. As for the duel..."

"We're coming up on the system in ten minutes." A helmsman said.

"I think we should save that for later." Sasuke said. "We'll be reverting soon."

Ten minutes later, the Battlestar Coredia reverted to realspace, with the star streaks returning to normal pricks of light. In the distance, the sensors recorded the aforementioned space station.

"Open channels." Holland said. Gidget did so. "This is the Battlestar Coredia calling Armistice Station. Please respond, over."

On Board the Armistice station a transmission is sent:

This is the Armistice station, Battlestar Coredia, you are clear to dock at docking station one.
We would like to also like to personally thank you for rescuing our damage Raptor, and would like to ask that you release the Raptor, so that we may return it to the Battlestar Troy. Dr. Stephens is in the conference room, awaiting your arrival. Please register any security detail with this office before proceeding.

Captain Nathanial looks out the port window of the Armistice station, “My gods, he exclaims that is one big ship. I want security tight on this station. They seem to be friendly enough, as the original transmission stated, but I do not want to take any chances. I want two armed guards in the conference room, next to the door. Pistols only no rifles. We do need to protect the diplomat in case they become hostile."

The diplomat, Dr. Stephens immediately interjects. “That will not be necessary captain. We do not wish to appear hostile. Also according to the reports, they could be linked to our long lost cousins on Earth. Think about it what are the chances of an alien race being able to speak our language and calling their ship a battlestar. Your security detail might give these visitors the wrong impression”

Captain Nathanial replies, “ Ok sir, it is your call but we will have armed guards on the outside of the conference room.” Captain Nathanial, I do want a scan of their ship as well, scan every inch of it. If they object, tell them it is a health and safety code precaution against virus, bacteria, or harmful emmisions."

Captain Nathanial, has served in the colonial military for 25 years. He recently retired and joined the Colonial Guard, which is akin to the secret service. He was slightly paranoid, and never accepted anything at face value. Not the person you want talking for a nation by any means, but defiantly one that you want to protect you.

Dr. Stephens had years of diplomatic experience. He helped to make the colonies under one rule, back during the Sagatarian war. He had also helped to make this armistice station a reality, in his youth, by aiding in the negotiating the armistice between the humans and the cylons. He hoped this experience would aid him, yet he knew that diplomacy is a difficult road to travel especially when you knew nothing of the people you were engaging it with. Dr. Stephens is roughly 87 years old.

On Board the Battlestar Coredia:

Lt. Baker looks at Lt. Johnson, “Looks like we are home.”

Lt. Johnson stared at space for a minute then turns around, and salutes the bridge crew.
Lt. Johnson then states, “ Thank you so much for your timely rescue again, and I hope to see you all again.

Lt. Baker follows suit. She also adds you have been more than hospitable, and for that you have our gratitude."

Captain Holland scowled at the rules. "They want a deep-scan of my ship?"

"They're paranoid, for sure. But I have to admit, if what they say is true about genocidal robots, I can understand their feeling." Commander Harold "Hap" Kowalski, XO of the ship and Holland's oldest and most trusted friend, said. "Let's just humor them."

Holland sighed. "Fine. But if they start howling about how they want our droids dead, I'm outta here."

"I'm sure it won't come to that. Still, as the Captain, you're obligated to make diplomatic overtures until we can get someone from Diplomatic Corps over here." Sasuke reminded him with a fanged smile. (He doesn't actually have fangs, it just means that he's smiling sardonically.)

"Bastard." The Captain glared at Sasuke. "You're coming with me as well. You and the rest of your old Team Seven. You will be my security detail."

"The Marines could do just as well." Sasuke protested.

"Ah, but perhaps Jedi backup would do better." Holland smirked. "After all, the Jedi Order does run the Diplomatic Corps."

"Kuso." Sasuke cursed good-naturedly.

"Well, that's settled." Holland sighed. "Dock the ship with the station."

"All right." Talho nodded and began nudging the Battlestar towards Docking station 1.

"You're quite welcome." Captain Holland gave a nod. "I hope to see you again as well."

In a short time, the Battlestar maneuvered into the dock and the Captain allowed the Colonial security forces to conduct their scan as a sign of good faith as a dozen crewmembers sweated to push the Raptor out of the Battlestar and onto the station. As they did so, the Captain and the three members of his 'security detail', Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura went with the two Colonial soldiers to meet up with the delegates from the Colonial goverment.
