From: Jerry Sophrone
To: Anybody

For the past couple of months, I have been complaining (mostly to myself) about how much work I have to do as the only one mailing other than 'Jerimy Pomherd', the Minister of Infrastructure.

That was a test, and it was successful. I have decided to allow many other positions for the government, and to expand the power to other people. Thus, I will be creating the following positions, and organizations.

1. Minister of Health
2. Minister of the Economy
3. Minister of Education
4. Minister of the Environment
5. Minister of Technology

They will be elected by the people of Havvy, and have there own jobs. I will basically be an overseer of the new government, and have official rule to change any law they make.

The following groups have also been made:

NDPG: Natural Disaster Preparation Group (Infrastructure)
BCO: Building Code Operator (Infrastructure)
FST: Food Shortage Team (Health)
ECAB: Economic Checks and Balances (Economy)
NCLB: No Child Left Behind (Education)
TEIFN: The Environment is For Now (Environment)
SB: Spam Busters (Tech)
OS: Open-Source (Tech)

If you have a problem with any group, don't contact me, but rather the minister you are in dispute with, or the group. Thank you for reading this announcement.

OOC: I think Jerry Sophrone doesn't want to write every letter, and an expansion of power to other people is always nice. I'll get the election results at a later point in time.

Alright, well, after a week of checking around, we have managed to find three good people who would be in this government.

1. Minister of Health - Ugama; Bline; Xuis (I would vote these weirdest last names ever personally)
2. Minister of the Economy - Monopetry; Friex; Retmo
3. Minister of Education - Smith; Jonston; Erint
4. Minister of the Environment - Hipler; Fewt; Grazamon
5. Minister of Technology - Scheel; Tuim; Dardan

Alright, for bios, I shall start with the Health tonight.

Ugama: A twentyfour year old medical student. He has watched the medical cases of the world and is strongly against drinking and smoking. If it were up to him, those two vices would be banned. He would also give a helping hand to hospitals that treat cancer. He believes that healthcare should be free, except for a spike in taxes.

Bline: A fourtytwo year old who smokes heavily. He would like to see drinking go away also but allow drugs that you smoke stay. He would release the ban on marijuana, and make sure that the agricultural industry is heavily regulated. He would start an FDA program, and make sure that drugs are at least not harmful in the longterm. He believes capitalism should pay for healthcare with a decrease in taxes.

Xuis: A sixty year old who also has his own plan. He personally thinks that hospitals should be paid by for the government, but medicine and using them hospitals shouldn't be. He also believes in free healthcare for veterans. Taxes would raise a little, except for veterans. Xuis would also make sure that people are strict vegetarians and drugs may only be used in quantities that could help you medically.

I am giving you the ability to vote. Go on, you know you want to. None of there actions will be too extreme, but if it happens to be voted like that twice in a row, than yes, you will get more extreme happenings. Currently, the healthcare system is owned by private businesses.

Ugama is the Minister of Health candidate I vote for.

OoC: Not really sure what you wanted.

Hope you get more voters, by the way.

Seeing that I am impatient, and that this thread has only one reply that's not me, (And it's been awhile) I shall start with the economy person. Take your pick from the following people and there ideas:

Monopetry: Believes in pure capitalism. Believes that business should not be helped whenever possible. Thinks that if people are smart, they would not buy goods from stores that have morals they don't believe in. Likes to subsidize businesses that are falling short on their job. Does not believe in the public domain.

Friex: A person who looks at each event case by case. He would make sure that monopolies don't exist, and will help small companies. He'll put taxes on richer companies, and increase the international profit tax of Havvy (for any businesses starting in Havvy) to 1.5%. He also believes in a business starting tax of $1,000.

Retmo: Wishes that for things like artwork, music, poems, and some software, there should be laws preventing people from suing over their use. He doesn't want to change the tax system, and believes that if there is a possible monopoly, have the government pick somebody to start a puppet business to fight it off. He believes that CEOs and business leaders should be watched closely to stop fraud.

So, please vote, and remember, whatever you choose will determine the fate of Havvy.

Vote for the economist. I shall be saying that Erint won the vote for Education, with his excellent strategy which shall be coming up in my next thread.
