the Military Command Committee of LARC met today at Aschenhyrst City to begin small arms trials and to decide upon a Alliance Standard-Issue for caliber of small arms. leading contenders: Pistol/SMG caliber are the 9x19mm and the .45acp rounds; Assault/Main Battle Rifle 5.56x45mm; GPMG 7.62x51mm. there is great debate as to whether the Alliance should have a standard Main Battle Rifle or if the individual members should keep their individual weapons (a source of national pride to some) but re-chamber to an Alliance Standard caliber. member states have submitted their MBR`s for testing and evaluation towards an Alliance Standard MBR, although the political climate is leaning heavily towards the opposite.

King Aschenhyrst,
The Queen responds most enthusiastically to your idea of standardized calibers and agrees to use said calibers, however, being a strong manufacturer of arms we will choose our own weapons. The Queen appreciates a strong ally and sees the need for standard calibers as well.
Thank You
The Queen
