Testrosia is a nuclear power!

Tetrosia
10-02-2007, 02:31
It is official. As of today (10th February 2007) the glorious Republic of Tetrosia has successfuly developed and tested several nuclear weapons. The tests took place secretly, in a purpose built underground facility.

The development of these weapons is entirely defensive in nature and the Tetrosian government has no desire to use them against any other nation.

However, due to recent hostilities with neighbouring states, Tetrosia has decided that becoming a nuclear capable nation would ensure it's continued survival and prosperity for generations to come.

True, but we kidnapped a few hundred scientists from countries that already have them and forced them to build ones for us! :p

We have also discovered that the world is infact a game and NOT REAL! So we decided to say we had nukes anyway.

1) You have to actually RP something like that.

2) That doesn't give you justification.

To Testrosia:

After extensive review by HM Government, Testrosia has been deemed a potential risk due to the small size of the nation, an unavailablity of facts regarding the nation, as well as its possess of thermonuclear devices. Whilst HM Government would not deny another nation nuclear weapons, we do request permission to inspect your nuclear weapons facilities.

Signed,
Sir Phillip Sinclair
Prime Minister of Eurasia

[OOC: In his defense, you're wrong. A nation can develope nuclear weapons when it feels like it, and there are plenty of nations in this roleplay that are willing to sell it the technology of nuclear enrichment (if it could not develope such technology on its own).]

I have just admitted we don't have any. There are no weapons sites for you to inspect, but by all means visit our country. We encourage tourism, as it is a major contributor to our already healthy economy.

On behalf of the Tetrosian government, i would like to apologise for my now former defence secretary. It was he who made the false announcement to the world regarding our development of nuclear weapons. He has since been removed from office and arrested.

Every specific detail doesn't need to be roleplayed. Honestly, people are getting way too nit-picky about all of this. It's preferred that people roleplay, but they really don't have to if they don't want to, especially when it's not directly affecting anyone else.

Now if it were someone claiming they took over another NS nation without roleplaying it... now that's another story.

Please, i emplore you not to take any action against our country. This is all the result of one mans deception.

I would like to assure the UN and world community, that no scientists or citizens of any other nation has ever been kidnapped or abducted by Tetrosia. We are currently in the opening stages of an anti-corruption investigation to ensure that such a hoax, will never happen again.

The Nation of Ginet urges restraint in dealing with Tetrosia. Given it's small size, it's likely that the earlier statements were a bluff gone wrong, and there are probably no WMDs within that country.

After viewing the recent incident whereas you declared your posession of thermonuclear weapons, only to be met with hostile words from the international community, we would like to make an offer.

The offer is very simple, infact. We currently own one-hundred and fifty 25 kiloton thermonuclear warheads. We will donate these to you completely without charge. Our only request is that you keep this transaction a secret. If you can agree to this, we will make your nation a nuclear power to be reckoned with.

OOC:

The standard rule is 1 month. It used to be 2. That rule has been dead for quite some time. In reality, very small nations have nuclear capabilities. Israel. North Korea. As long as he doesn't claim to have an arsenal of 100,000 nukes like older players, I don't see why he can't have several nukes. By several, I mean less than 100 until he's bigger.

[OOC: Okay, look, people used to use that rule, Laquasa Isle. But it is not really a "Rule" in that sense. And its been scrapped as people have realized that, guess what, this is a game and you can RP whatever you want. I know, shocking, isn't it? Look, British Londium/Eurasia was very stupid in posting a "you can't do that" as his first response to the thread. This person wants to RP. And you are keeping him down. This drives people away from RP'ing. Testrosia, my advice is that you create a new thread about something totally different, and ignore all responses by people who are, let me say, not in the highest class of RP'ers. Anyway, I find it amusing that the people protesting this "nuclear declaration" are people who have been n00bishly invading smaller nations for their entire time on this site. If I may, this is worse than the story of the pot and the kettle.]

[OOC: Nobody here has the right to say that someone isn't using their nukes "right." I could very well have a situation in which my nation decides to use a tactical nuke to kill a special forces team. Questers once used a nuclear attack to collect a bounty on the [king/queen] of another nation. It's impractical for a nation that RP's as a small neighborhood of 100 people to also have a nuclear stockpile, so situational realism is a must, but it is complete and utter nonsense for some people to spurt stuff about "rules" like there's some handbook for this site.

It's freeform roleplay - Take it or leave it.]

The Nation of Tetrosia, MV-87K Coba Light Transport, Zero-Three Hundred Hours
The massive engines on the sides of the aircraft roared as the matte black frame lowered itself over the rushing grass. Setting itself down, the rear hatch of the vehicle slid open, revealing a small delivery truck, painted white and emblazoned with a domestic mover’s service's logo from the nation of Tetrosia.

The vehicle edged its way out of the rear of the plane and parked itself in the still flattened grass, whereupon the pilot, a massive, black-armored form, leapt down from the driver’s seat and rushed against the oncoming wind of the engine back into his transport.

Inside this simple truck rested a not-so-simple cargo. Resting on an average commercial transport pallet was long cylinder, tipped with a cone, and opposite that, a trio of fins. It was a bomb. This bomb, however, unlike most the Emperor delivered, was not set to explode.

This was a single thermonuclear explosive, set to release a forty-kiloton explosion, should it be set off. Beside the bomb was a small packet, a three-ringed binder. Contained in this binder were the exact specifications and design requirements for producing an exact replica of the weapon.

The final, and strangest, of the three occupants of the truck was a second long form, this one however, was not a bomb. It was a scientist. This man had been kidnapped from his home in the small nation of East Chitzeland, and taken in the night on this flight, where he was then left, bound and gagged, in the back of this very truck.

He was a leading scientist on that countries nuclear weapons program, before the nation was annexed into the Emperor's Dominion a few years ago.

A nuclear bomb, the plans for a nuclear bomb, and a kidnapped nuclear scientist... Testrosia is a nuclear power...

Just as long as he doens't say he kidnapped the people from my nation i'm fine with this. He wouldn't be able to get anyone out of my nation anyways with kidnapping as everyone needs a passport, proof of identity (license or government issued ID), and birth certificate to enter or leave my nation. A few precautions after some espianoge a few NS Years ago.

OOC: Everyone is either bitching about how a tiny nation has nukes, or offering him nukes...

Those complaining are generally rather large, is it that you have not the confidence in your own defenses to shoot down a pair of stone-age nukes from a third world country, or are you just that contentious?

Those who offer nukes are also rather large, but know whatever he does, it won't affect them. That's good.

Myself, I flew over and gave him nukes... He has them now, no matter what you say. Okay?
