Cain City, Pacificain: Collin Marks Associated press-
In a surprise act of aggression the totalitarian government of the Armed Republic of Pasamica invaded the Allied States of Pacificain. Pacificain, being a peaceful utopian nation, was caught completely off guard. Pasamica cut into Pacificain territory from the west before the armed forces were able to mount an affective defense. Approximately 1/3 of Pacificain has fallen under the control of the Pasamican forces and all major ports have been blockaded.
Pacificain, recently inducted into the UN, is asking for sanctions against Pasamica. However, Pasamica is not currently a member of the UN and is not bound by and UN decisions. Furthermore, the UN is not completely willing to risk all out war with Pasamica and its allies. For the moment fighting continues to erupt throughout Pacificain and the Pacificain Navy continues to break through the blockade.

The Republic of Ironwell wishes to express our collective outrage at the recent unwarranted attack by the Armed Republic of Pasamica. We ask that the global community sanction Pasamica for it's unmitigated aggression against her neighbours.

That was the public stance the Republic had taken, after all her people were still leary of war and any overt military move would throw the Senate into arms at this point. But still, in the dark basements of the Grand Forum where the Cabinet met, certain measures were being looked into. And so it was, days after the invasion began Pacificain's leaders were contacted in the night by a woman in red.

This war is unneeded and unwanted, what is the point in attacking a nation that is peaceful? There is no real point besides that you are a warmonger.

The nation of Pacificain would like to give our thanks to those countries that so openly pledge their support to our cause. Our recent attack on the Nation of Pacificain was not, contrary to what they have stated, was not unprovoked. An envoy fleet of 500 Leocardian soldiers landed in the beaches of Pacificain at night, under stealth and silent-motors technology. They enter Pacificain lands and set a protected camp at the beach. The soldiers also quickly established temporary defences enough to carry on for a day or two.

Underneath the Grand Forum in the capitol of Republica, the President and Cabinet met in closed chambers.

The situational briefing was given by Assistant Commissioner Davan Wells, Director of the Ironwell Republican Police's Security Service.

"From the latest reports the invasion has been generating quite a lot of international interest. Pasamica has a lot of natural features that greatly aid it's defence that you will find outlaid in Subtable B-7 of the report. I have recieved confirmation that Red 17 has contacted their leadership. We are awaiting thier response"

The President shuffled the report, "Thank you for your report Commissioner, thorough as always." He motioned to Frank Duffman, Minister of Defence, "Frank, have the military prepare for any foreseeable action. Nothing overt, just get the key assets prepared in case. Miss Frost, have the Foreign Affairs staff kept hounding everyone they can about this thing and press for global sanctions. The blast was the only thing on the news that night.

In another closed meeting the decision have been made, the Republic would march to war in light of this latest atrocity. As the military readied for action President Gunderson called an emergency session of the Senate.

"As you are all aware, the nation of Pasmica detonated a weapon of mass destruction, murdering thousands of innocents in a senseless act. For too long has our Republic sat idle as our world sinks into chaos, scarred by the legacy of wars pass. I say no more! This insanity must not be tolerated in the remotest sense. In our veins runs the same iron that supports our Grand Forum, and these butchers in Pasmica will find them selves crushed under our unbreakable resolve."

The senate erupted in raucous applause and support was unanamous. Within hours Ironwell's sons and daughters found themselves ready for war.

Striking under cover of night, the Republican Air Force made a pass over the Leocardian garrison, dropping cluster bombs and other munitions. Meanwhile a second sortie flew over the nearest Pasmican city, bombs dropping in anger.

It had only begun.

40 Broadsword Type 27 Destroyers appeared off the cost of Pacificain. There mission was to find and destory the the sub that was launching the bomb. They spilt up into small group of 2 to make sure they weren't attacked by the bomb itself. Out further was a group of subs, around 10-15, waiting for the singal to go out and attack the sub that had launched the bomb.

While the Nicksyllvanian Empire opposes the rash use nuclear weapons on civilians, we nevertheless accept Pasamica as a Nuclear Power and the rightful ruler of the Pacificain's.

While we will not participate in the invasion of Pacificain, we will assist you if your homeland comes under attack.

We ask that Pasamica cease their needless WMD operations, which only achieve the deaths of millions of innocent people, unless they are willing to face the consequences that their economy, military, and government will suffer. Oslea will support Pacificain and its allies in this matter.

The Dominion of Vetaka Diplomatic Conference Centre was a state of the art modern meeting centre. It was enclosed in the secure fortitfied Vetakan Diplomatic Embassy Complex. The staff of the centre had been briefed on the history and situation between Pasamica and Pacificain. The Vetakan Defence Force had increased the Guard at the complex and doubled security at the centre.

Altough neither side had confirmed their attendence to the conference Vetaka was confident they would at least give it a try. Altough neither nation had an embassy within Vetaka the Diplomatic Embassy Complex had seperate secure accomdation for both sides so they wouldnt have to communicate and possibly void diplomatic communication.

The Embassy Complex also had its own airfield with hangers so that both sides could be assured that their transport was secured. Susan Harper was the Diplomatic Director and Chief of Staff at the Embassy Complex she had read the file on Pasamica and Pacificain so much that she had fallen asleep in her office. It was only when her PA came into clean that she woke up and snapped:

The Repubican Navy had set off from the port of Iron Rapids, 12 warships in total. Still many hours away from their destination the sailors were tense, nervous, but resolute to the task ahead.

They had even brought out the Tartarus. The old battleship named in honour of thier nation's greatest hero, a haggard defender of the Republic.

On the bridge, Admiral Nathaniel Haig recieved the transmission from Fleet Command. There were peace talks being offered, but it was still tentative at this point.

While I applaud our ally Veteka to try and reach diplomancy with thse people I fear we are only wasting time and lives by trying to use diplomancy when one of the nations is hellbent on taking over the other. But we will wait for a response to your offer in the slim chance it does happen.

We call upon all nations involved to an immediate ceasefire wherein all parties involved stand fast on their current positions, and bring representatives to the table to discuss a lasting peace wherein all greivances are addressed as effectively as possible. Failure of any nation involved in this matter to show willingness to negotiate on this issue can result in forced pacification, at our discretion.

It has been the Mighty nation of Pasamica's policy from the beginning of this conflict that we will not end this fighting until we have full control of Pacificain. We have shown you now our power, we are not a half wit back water country. We are fully capable of causing mas destruction of our enemies. We have no quarell with any other nations than Pacifcain. We ask all other nations to stay out of what is a purly internal matter. 21 Leocardian soldiers were killed in the bombing by Ironwell forces. The camp wasn't a very big camp, and the rest of the area bombed gave a big sign to Leocardia's men in Pacificain: To go in.

Leocardian temporary defences were deconstructed. And the soldiers moved in. Under special weaponry and guided radar by satellite communications/visuals the troops were always watched by the Leocardian Government and constantly guided each step they proceed.

The artillery tank fires another 20 continuous rounds at the Pacificain cities.

Each and everyday, Leocardia is changing itself to a more peaceful country. With decreased spending in their military budget, as well as signing a constitution that Leocardian forces is only Peacekeeping purposes. As it seems, Leocardia is aiding the aggressor, we are also planning a stragetic attack on Pasamica. With nuclear weapons in hand by Pasamican forces, Leocardia has pointed 600 nuclear warheads from Leocardian soil toward Pasamica. Any sudden movement of soldiers will trigger this excessively large arsenal into making the first crater done by Leocardia.

With the unauthorized release of nuclear weapons from the nation of Pasamica, we hereby declare Dutrain's rogue regime incapable of government, and should be removed in the most expeditious manner possible. Therefore, we officially announce a state of war between the Anti-Communist Republic and said rogue regime, to exist until hostilities are declared to be at an end. Baseless allegations, slander, lies, mismanagement, and corruption have been the only results of said regime; this status quo cannot endure. We will use our full military resources in whatever capacity we deem necessary to expedite the removal of this threat to international sovereignty and peace.

Frederick Hanes, President of Pacificain, made his first public appearance since the out break of the war. In a speech responding to the recent Pasamican attack, he provided a glimmer of hope in these dark times.
"My fellow Pacificains, our great society has taken beating after beating since the begining of this war. However, our troops have fought bravly through out this disaster. They fight for a freedom that is not seen in any other nation. Our nation take great pride in our civil liberties. This morning those liberties were challenged not from the Pasamicans, but from inside our very government. If we give up our civil rights, we are no different from the Pasamicans. I will not let that happen.
Today when we refused to submit to Pasamica they hit us with six more bombs. Luckily our new target scrambling technology forced those bombs out into the countryside. There were casualties, but not nearly as bad as they could have been.
I am also happy to report, that today we have o ne a great victory. In a massive counter attack planned by our top generals and with help from our allies, we have driven the last of the hostile forces out of our nation. Also, with the help of allied navies, we have broken through the lst of the blockades. Today was a great victory indeed.
However, we cannot forget our losses. Nor can we forget the atrocites that have been commited against us. So I say to you now, it is time we go on the offencive.
The Pasamican mainland is indeed harsh. The caves, canyons, and tunnels in which their cities are build in protect them from any missile strikes or nucklear attacks. It is a formidable defence. Earlier, our 79th, 87th, 17th, 31th, and 22nd bomber squadrons took off towards Pasamica carrying our new weapon. The weapon unleashes a sonic charge powerful enough to cause an earthquake measuring 7.0 on the rickter scale. Along with our bombers, 12 submarine groups hit the nations undersea tunnels, crippling their navy. I can also report that 12 paratrooper divisions have successfully landed behind enemy lines and are engaging the enemyy on their own territory, along with an amphibious assult, which I have just been informed, has taken a beach head spanning 5 miles.
I know that many people are worried about a massive nuklear retaliation from the Pasamicans. I can assure you that they have exausted their supply. Which brings me to somemore troubling news. PHASE II: You will head towards the Pasamican capital. Any guards at the city limits will be taken care of by the squad designated sniper. You will make your way to the building High Commander Dutrain SHOULD be.

Phase III: The designated lock picker in your team should take care of the front gates and doors. Once in the building you will eliminate any and all personnel, civilian, military, or otherwise, and will make your way to Dutrain. REMEMBER, STAY STEALTHY. If you are detected you may abort the mission and get out of there, we'll extract you. Once Dutrain is found and destroyed you will make your way back to the northernmost part of Pasamica by any means necessary and we'll extract you via UH-60 Blackhawk to a helicopter carrier waiting for you on the coast. All units will be in place when the operation is started.

It is acceptable to send police forces and rebuilding teams to Pasamica, but I must insist that no military forces can be allowed to set foot on Pasamica including my own, however the best idea is to protect its borders without going into its territory because you forget that Pasamican's have extreme hatred towards Pacifican's due to this war.

In the closed confrence romm underneath the Grand Forum, Ironwell's leaders were called for an emergency meeting into the situation in Pasamica and Pacificain. The President, Cabinet, Chiefs of the Defence Staff as well as the Commissioner of the Ironwell Republican Police, responsible for intelligence activities, were all present. A ground incursion on a Pasamican port city has been suspended, our troops are no longer actively taking new ground but remain garrisoned on the ground in an industrial area. A naval task force is holding position 20 nautcial miles off the coastline. We offer a delegate to the peace talks and we support any cessation of hostilities.

The New Republic of Pasamica would like to formally request that all parties, including those intendeing to assist us, to stand down. we do not feel the need for any more people to die. The Leocardian Navy's 4Cast Simulation System, a better modified version of the American Aegis, detected enemy units by satellite. Blimps showed it was hostile. A radarman calls his supervisior to take a look. "Looks serious. Better call up cap'n." He walks to the phone booth across the room and breaks a sweat. He picks up the phone and dials a random number. "Yes sir, we... Yeah, hostile forces actually. Yes, I think they're from Rogernomics. Probably, I don't know yet. Okay." He hangs up and walks back to the sailor. "He said to make radio calls for them. If they are not Rogernomics or hostile forces, warn them to not come close to our ships. If they are hostile, or not respondents, fire at will." He walks back to where he came from and turns around. "Oh yeah, use that satellite guided hypersonic ones. We need to try those babies out." And he strolls back away.

The radarman makes his call. "Leocardian Navy. Report in or you will be fired." He repeats the same message over and over. No answer. Minutes, he presses a call to the weapons loading station. "Yeah, load in the LL-22-NN-5 Hypersonics. Yeah, I'll tell you when to fire, we got them hostiles maybe. Alright." He goes back to messaging the unknown forces.

The Diplomatic Conference centre was a marvel of Vetakan Architecture it was a trully magnificant building. On Floor 2 in room A the various delgeates had gathered around the large Oak Negociation Table. It was a moving moment to see the two sides talking to eachother. It was particularly cold conversation but it was still a conversation. The Dominion of Vetaka President was a man called Daniel Gary Pearce he had led Vetaka through the Civil War and into an age of prosperity. He stood up at the table holding a Document:

"Welcome noble Delegates to The Dominion of Vetaka. My name is Daniel Gary Pearce President and Lord-Govenor of Vetaka. Hopfully today we can put together a Lasting peace for the nations of Pasamica-Pacifican. In my hand and before you on the desk in the folder is a Draft Peace Treaty. This treaty we hope will form the basis of Peace. Read it please and lets negociate."

OOC: Rogernomics, you seriously have no idea how to rp your army. You can have 5 billion people in your army, but if you don't pay them, they'll follow someone who will and start a civil war. The UN is an organisation for WORLD PEACE so being in it would hurt your military, not help it.

Also, if you have those two colonies, you're going to have to keep them under control by sending troops. Colonies don't really help your military, rather, they drain it.

As far as nukes go - if you had enough nukes to destroy Leocardia and used them, nations with pop -and military funding- far greater than yours would come and blow your nation into a glass plate at the bottom of the sea.

Further more we do not feel that we should have to be forced into an election. I have 3 nations, the first Rogernomics is 1.03 billion, the next Rogernomica has 972 million, the last New Rogernomics has 994 million. Add them up and I have 2996 million = So roughly 3 Billion (or will be by tommorrow). Plus that is more than enough to threaten any nation with nuclear weapons, plus military strength does not mean everything. RW Examples: Iraq, The Persian empire was defeated by the less powerful but better equipt and smaller military of Alexander the Great, Rome defeated all its neighbours even though is was outnumbered.

The Nation of Pacificain agrees to these terms. we only wish to add, not as a part of teh treaty but as a form of internetional peace, that Dutrain be tried in international court a so that he may be charged with all the atrocities he has commited.

The nation of Pasamica also agree's, and we will coroperate full with teh international community in the capture of Dutrain.

Leocardian Armed Border Patrol, deployed in the way beginning of this mess, were told to be ready for hostile enemy forces landing into the shores of Pacificain and Pasamica. The Leocardian naval fleets also deployed in the scene were advised to fire on sight with Ironwell naval forces. The message was clear, and the Leocardian Border Patrol are well-equipped.

As the delegates talked amongnst themselves awaiting what they all hoped was the final draft of the Treaty. The Vetakan President listerned as he recived a live update on the situation regarding Leocardia and its current fleet deployments. It was then that the Vetakan Forigen Affairs Aide entered and handed all of the delegates another file containing what was hoped to be the final draft with the last Dutrain Article.

The President looked at the delegates and then spoke. As part of the Vetakan commitments. Vetaka has deployed our Fleet and Troops our ground forces like that of Ironwell will consist of 600 Engineers and the remaining forces will be deplpyed to assist in Civil Policing. The Fleet consists of:

1 Aircraft Carrier
3 Amphibious Assault Ships
1 Hospital Ship
5 Destroyers
3 Battleships

It says on both regions consitutions that if any nations are attacked in the region by another region if would mean war with the attacking region, plus they would not allow a nation to be nuked to destruction because of a threat, plus I have good relations with both regions Presidents. Also do some simple math on the Modern day world because the US has a pop of 300 or so million and has at least 10,000 nuclear missiles, using this same ratio for 60 nations it would roughly be 2 million missiles.:rolleyes:
