Trouble in the Colonies (MT, Open)

Daily Report

"Good evening, tonight's top story, riots in the colonies of Latinia, Novahna, and Relto! A full scale rebellion has started and the Democratic Empire could very well lose it's colonies in the northern areas of the Atlantic, as well as the precious Pacific colony. Such a blow would damage the economy, and cut off valuable tax revenue. For more we go to colonial expert Phillip Sinclair." says Daily Report anchor John Stewart.

"Thank you John, now the rebellion is ugly and the three rebelious colonies threated to defeat the Colonial Guard. The Imperial Guard is heading to the areas, but it could be a week before they arrive. Prime Minister Bellcrest has vowed that the full force of the Marines, Navy, and Airforce will crush the rebellion. Lastly, the colonial representatives in Parliament are working on a way to peacfully end the conflict with the least amount of damage." said Phillip Sinclair.

We have sent you a total of 1,000,000 Nuyecomarks to help with your tax problem. Please improve your riot problems ASAP. If need be, we can send in a few planes we obtained in an attempt to put sleeping gas on their battle fields.

Novahna

It was noon in the capitol city, and a major terrorist organization was trying to take the city from the Colonial Guard. Heavily armed insurgents fought in the streets against more lightly armed guardsmen. The insurgents would have bazookas and AK-47s, while the guardsmen had pistols and semi-automatic bayonets. Still, tanks fired rounds of tear gas into the combat, with the guardsmen equiped with gas masks. People were being speared by the guardsmen, and after forty minutes of brutal fighting the terrorists retreated. The Colonial Guard had one the battle, but certainly not the war.

A tuxedoed waiter cautiously perambulated into the Cabinet chambers, bearing a tray of BLT sandwiches.

"Bloody hell," shouted the Minister for Defence, Elliot Crompton. "It's about fucking time you got here! Lunch was supposed to start sixteen minutes ago!"

"My apologies, sir," stammered the waiter.

"Damn it, Crompton, calm down," ordered Aroon Zeldenthuis, Minister for the Cabinet Office. "Let's keep this on track."

Crompton glared at Zeldenthuis, as Prime Minister Sir Phillip Sinclair sighed.

"Ladies and gentlemen, it seems we have a small crisis brewing in Vontanas. What do you recommend that we do?" asked the Prime Minister.

"Full scale military invasion of Vontanas - clearly, they are unable to support a stable government," said Crompton smugly.

"We must withdraw from the Nuyecomark Treaty to express our displeasure," stated Olivia Quinn, Minister for Trade and Industry.

"Cut off monetary supplies," remarked Ajeet Forbeson, the Chancellor for the Exchequer.

"Why not combine them?" replied Sir Phillip as he took a bite of his BLT. "I want all Vontanan assets frozen, I want all Vontanans arrested, I want us out of the Nuyecomark Treaty, and I no longer want those bloody things to be considered legal tander. Furthermore, ready the troops for war. However, don't have them march on Vontanas quite yet."

OOC: Ignored much? You can pull out of the Nuyecomark thing, but seriously, this isn't funny. Stop trading with me, arrest the few Vantanians in your lands, but the invasion wouln't float. Warmonger.

SIC:

The Democratic Empire of Vantanas thanks Havvy for their generous donation.

IC:

The Imperial Guard arrived in the rebellious colonies, smashing the rebellion. Parliament remains divided on what to do about the colonies, while life in the colonies is a living hell.

On another note, the Eurasian bases in Vantanas have not been approved for lease renewal, and the soldiers have left Vantanas, returning to Eurasia.

Eurasian Military Base Alpha

Field Marshal Dalton paced back and forth in the main military command centre of Alpha base, the sound of his shoes hitting the floor resonating throughout the room.

"Our orders from Kensington stand," he intoned. "We are not to budge a millimetre. Signal all bases throughout the country of this. Ready the defences."

All fifty thousand troops readied for combat; GAU-17A (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GAU-17) Minigun turrets were loaded and readied for the defence of the bases, Starstreak surface-to-air missiles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starstreak) were armed and brought online, hundreds of RAC Curiatii fighters were scrambled, circling the skies above Eurasian bases, and fifty thousand Eurasian soldiers prepared to defend the interests of the state.

IC To Eurasia

You want to leave the Nuyecomark treaty? You were one of the key developers of it. Just because you get mad at Vontanas, doesn't mean that you should leave it. Seriously. Vontanas is only one nation in the treaty. There's at least four of us in the treaty. I won't stop you from leaving, but seriously, you need to think about it before you do that. Oh, and instead of burning it, I'm sure there can be a good way to get it into the other nations that have the Nuyecomark, such as my nation.

A strong warning.

OOC: Forgive me for not being clear. They were forced out of their two bases at gunpoint and forced onto a boat that was escorted by the navy out. They're gone.

Well, I'm going to be watching this conflict, and not really acting much. I do say here though, that defeat can be an option. Massacres and Genocide over this though, and anyone would call you a war-mongerer. I ask you to stand down, and think: "Would a real country go to war so quickly over a small skirmish, and would they massacre an entire population?"

I would find the answer is no, and that you are doing a very foolish move. Just Ret-Con the event. Oh, and what would your population think if they had to massacre an entire nation. Would your military turn on you? I think they would.

OOC: Uh, no. You can try to force them out at gunpoint, and watch them be mowed down by my machine guns. Essentially, my troops are there until you slaughter each and every one of them. And there's fifty thousand of them. Havvy, I'm also, at this point, not invading, merely protecting my sovereign territory - since Eurasian bases are technically on Eurasian soil.

I know there are bases there. Still though, maybe increased security of the areas of your bases would be better than outright killing. Try dropping a few loads of sleeping gas on the city when there's a fight, and see if that does anything.

Not only is it extreme, it's also less extreme then your idea. You get to arrest people, and stop the fighting that way. That would be better.

Oh, an IC response to my letter would be nice.

OOC: I'm sorry about this, but forget it. They're gone. Your not protecting your territory, as I just pulled it out from under your legs. You rent it from me, and now I'm giving you a refund for the days till the next rent and kicking you off. Technically your army is here illegally (invading). Aint technicalities grand?

OOC: Okay, so they're there illegally...they're still there, with all of their weapons, and they're going to kill whoever tries to make them leave. Just because you don't want them there, doesn't mean they disappear. RP my troops still not leaving. Havvy, check your TG.

OOC: Look, you're mixing OOC and IC here, and that is really not appreciated. If you think that everyone that invades you or wants to go to war with you "hates you", then you are definitely not going to go very far. And if something doesn't go your way, don't just ignore the RPer. Seriously. It's physically possible to beat my troops off the island. You have the advantage in this situation. But no matter. I'm not ignoring you, despite what you do. And really, don't call me an idiot.

OOC: Whatever. I need a break, so this thread is down the drain I guess. I need a break, so don't invade me or anything. Official excuse is I'm going isolationist for a while. I don't think that everyone that goes to war with me hates me, it's just in this particular one, it seems to be the only real reason. Getting revenge for your slipup in Operation: Monopoly. Now, don't hold me responsible for everything I say. It's late, I'm tired, and it's a tuesday. Thread terminated.
