OOC: Why do you have a head staff position in your government for Trade? Maybe if it was an organization, but really. If that's a high government position, is everyone in your nation employed? <End Sarcasm>

If possible, we could do a trade of lumber for the silicon your country has. Is that possible?

If so, we could start an easy trade between our countries for years to come. So, will you take "20 'units' of silicon for 800 logs of Lumber"? Also, please define a 'unit'.

Havvy, we have defined a 'unit'. It's the same as a crate, Hienamann standard, of that certain material. And no, we don't trade/sell milk, our cargo ships havn't been fitted with the right equipment yet. But don't worry. So ill put Havvy down for 20 units of silicon. And Sir Phillip J. Sinclair nice to meet you. Yes we would like to open trade routes with your most gracious country, but first we need for you to establish an embassy here. But sadly we arn't open to other world francises at the precise moment. Theres still alot of nationalism going around, and those people won't be to happy to see a foreign countries shops and business open so soon after our state was declared independant. But other than that, your trade and television broadcasts are welcome.

To: Mr. Alambama, Head of trade for Hienamann
From: Eric McGregor, Minister for Trade and International Development, Crookfur.

My dear Mr. Alambama,

I write to you both on the behalf of the people of Crookfur and as representitive for several interested private companies based within my nation. The Crookfur government can of course understand that soem national entities might preffer not to have direct dealings with corperate bodies and depending on what should suit your requirements we can arrange for all deals to be made through a direct governmental agency or make introductions between your agencies and our companies aswell providing licenses and notes of approval and certification for any company involved.

Initally we would be most interested in importing large quantities of Iron (is this raw ore or processed "pig" iron?) and silicon, ultimately as part of an ongoing agreement, we would be willign to import limited foodstuffs from your nation but this would be driven more by consumer demand than anything else.
In return we would offer to trade to you, at most agreeable rates, a wide range of materials and products, most notably the following:
Aluminum
Titanium
Potatoes
Finished and/or semi assembled parts for a wide range of aviation and automotive products (including full kits for domestic license assembly and fully completed vehicles)
Books (ooc: well it was my nation's major industry for a while according to the NS stats).
and processed and refined chemical products including petrochemical materials).

Naturally as this is my first contact with yourself i would wish to avoid diving straight into haggling over deals but i would be delighted if you could make me aware of any products that might be of interest and i shall certainly do my best to make an apropriate offer or counter offer if you should feel abel to make any offer immediately.

I look forwards to your reply.

Kind regards,

Rt.Hon Eric McGregor,
Minister for Trade and International Development

Very much so, and thank you. Do you wish to be placed on the list for a new AgriTech invention? I'll add the link to the top.
